Kevin had stood there watching alongside TuneUp when all of a sudden things got completely out of control. The guy who had always seemed to be the most gentel and kind person he ever knew ever in his life, who had helped him to remember that he wanted to use his powers to help people had just turned into something else right before Kevin's very own eyes. 'Whoa, Guardian had just lost it, and for what? Because D'mnchyld had insulted him?' Kevin thought 'Isn't that her power or something?' He didn't know what her power was really because he didn't remember ever seeing it in action, all he did know was that the girl had a gift for pissing people off.
Then all of a sudden Sean rushed forward taking a role in the action, 'God look at him, he's so heroic' Kevin felt all warm and twittery inside because he had brought this hero to the place where he could charge forward, but when the teacher said he couldn't help Kevin came closer to him and wanted to say it was all O.K.
Hardlight wanted to be able to help with the situation and seeing the wall busted out and feeling the cold air rushing in from outside he knew at least he could fix the hole for a patch at the very least. When he saw that the girl K'8 was removed from the ice he sighed a reliefed sigh and then after Shadowkat left with her he spoke saying "I can fix the wall. Should we all try and clean up a little bit and I'll try and make it look like it did, then we could paint it or something later cause it'll glow if we don't."
He concentrated to remember how the wall looked and where the window was in it. He would try and make the window part thin and easy to see through, but it didn't have to be prefect, just anything now would be better than a hole the size of a truck in the middle of winter. With a furrowed brow he began his sculpt.

Half way to where ever they were going k'8 took a gasp of air, and opened her eyes. Seeing Kitty and realizing she wasn't dead she wrapped her freezing arms around her team leader and started to sob like a baby. In-between sobs and gasps of air she managed to say "They" - "Just" - *gasp*- "Tried"- *sob*- "To" - *gasp*- gasp* - *sob* - "Kill" - "ME!"

Seeing that k'8 had come to when she was phasing them to the closest full bathroom, Kitty looked down at her and then felt the girl's cold arms thrown around her neck. Her chest couldn't help but ache a little as the girl started sobbing. She caught what she said in between sobs and gasps, and held k'8 to her as she still placed her in the tub in the bathroom. The warm water ran till it was full enough, and she still kept k'8's head up.
Hugging the girl back, she shushed her gently. "It's okay k'8, it's okay. I'm going to take care of this. It will all be settled, but you've got to learn not to instigate. You've seen what it does, so please, don't do it," she said gently as she lightly pulled back from the hug.
She needed to find out more about the demon that took Kurt's form too. She knew the girl probably didn't want to talk about her fallen demons, but Kitty needed to get to the bottom of it. "k'8, tell me, was that shapeshifting demon a sort of twisted reincarnation of Nightcrawler or something?" she asked, looking at her intently though still keeping her afloat as the warm water remained in the tub, hopefully warming the girl up.

Shaking in violent spasms of shivering chills, and between sobs k'8 began to calm down and relax as the water warmed her up some. "I don't understand, what do you mean?" she looked up at Kitty, her arms and legs jerking in the water as chills shocked her system. "You mean Mr. Putty-Man? What did he do now?"
Her eyes were a little glassy and her lips were still a little blue. "Oh, Mr. Putty-Man, " she started to cry again remembering he had been burned up and she shook her head to clear the image from her mind. "But he'll be okay I think. He got diced all up in the lawnmower once and he came back later that day. That was an accident though, this time that Guardian did it on purpose." she looked up into Kitty's eyes and asked "Do you think he really woulda dropped me? I do, if you hadn't stopped him. Thanks Miss Pryde."

Kitty saw the water slosh around as k'8 shook in it, and looked a bit more relieved to see that her charge was beginning to calm down. At least she was beginning to warm up a bit even though she was still quite freezing. When the girl said she didn't know what the team leader meant, Kitty tried to think of a way to put what she meant to ask. "I mean, Mr. Putty-Man, it was nothing he did now since he's gone. But when I came in, he had taken on the form of Nightcrawler before he disappeared. I am asking if you know whether or not if Mr. Putty-Man was some sort of twisted reincarnation of Nightcrawler," she clarified, hoping k'8 would understand.
Her thoughts were still a bit jumbled at all the rush of actions that had happened, so she wasn't surprised that she had to reiterate, and then saw as k'8 started crying again at the mention of the disappeared demon. She listened to her about how Mr. Putty-Man had come back after something done on accident, but she didn't know if he'd still come after being purposely burned by Guardian. Then something clicked. What if it was a possibility that if k'8's demons reincarnated themselves if disappearing or being destroyed on accident? What if even it was a possibility that they'd come back after being destroyed on purpose? If Mr. Putty-Man came back, would that mean she'd see the little miniature Kurt again? These new thoughts ran through her head as k'8 spoke again, asking her a question.
Kitty looked down at k'8, her expression softened. "I don't think he would've. He was mad, yes, he destroyed things, yes, but for some reason I don't think he really would've done it. You have to have little conscience and care very little if you're going to something in malice," she said, explaining her thoughts. And when her young gothic charge thanked her, Kitty smiled a little. "You're welcome."

She screwed up her face in concentration and wiped her tears with her fingers smearing her very black eye makeup even more than it had been before and said "He's just Mr. Putty-Man and he looks like whoever he wants to, or whatever even. He tried to look like everybody in the room almost and I don't know why he looked like Nightcrawler, 'cept maybe the fire and smoke? Maybe it reminded him of Nightcrawler or something?"
K'8 thought about it for a second before she spoke again. "But I don't think Mr. Putty-Man ever saw him. That's kinda weird dontcha think?" she asked Kitty in a matter of fact tone, as if Shadowkat knew that the shapeshifting demon needed to see someone before he could imitate them. She went back to rubbing her eyes because now her makeup was burning them and she splashed water on her face to clean it all off.

Kitty watched as k'8 looked as if she were concentrating as she wiped her smeared eyes to wipe her tears. She heard her out, and how he just looks like anyone or anything he's seen. And the girl made a point when she said that Mr. Putty-Man hadn't seen Nightcrawler before, but at the mention of fire and smoke, her eyes flashed to k'8's face even as she held silent for a second, pondering things before speaking again.
That could be how. Fire and smoke, both elements were associated with bombs. And bombs were the very thing that took Kurt away from everyone.
"Yes, it is," she murmured as she continued to think. Maybe the demon didn't necessarily have to see the person or thing it imitated, maybe all it needed was something to associate it with, and maybe that was why Guardian's flame and smoke caused Mr. Putty-Man to make a flash appearance as Nightcrawler when Kitty made her appearance. But then again, the demon had never seen any bombs, so it was possible that all she had though was of no use. It was a lot of 'maybe's, but they were possible since anything was, and she tried furthering these ideas as k'8 cleaned her face off.
"Do you think Mr. Putty-Man was smart enough to maybe associate certain things with certain people, k'8?" she asked, her voice curious, now that she felt that she was onto something.

"I dunno, he only makes fun of people that he's seen. Maybe the smoke, probably that yeah? But I don't remember him ever seeing Nightcrawler. So it's really weird, you know?" k'8 didn't really look like she understood Kitty's question.
She shivered a little more and said "Did you bring a towel? I'm totally soaked, and it's gonna take forever for my boots to dry out." She looked a little upset at that, they were her favorite things to wear since she'd got them from an old homeless vet off the street near a park when she'd gone into Philly one weekend with her Aunt. "He'll come back," she said thinking again about Mr. Putty-Man, "but I don't know if he's gonna want to anytime soon. It was kinda rude and my demon friends are a little touchy about that sorta stuff. It's O.K. for them to be rude, but nobody can be rude to them, they hate that."

Gosh, I sure help that girl is alright. She didn't look too good at all. I should have stepped in sooner but what could have I done? My metal power wouldn't really be able to stop the disagreement and me sayin' somethin' wouldn' have done any good since it was real heated in there, Sean thought as he watched the lady take the punk girl away.
The he saw that Kevin had offered to help patch up the wall with his power. That's an idea. "Good idea Kevin, I'll help you," he said as he thought for a moment and then jogged around to the front of the school where the constructions workers were rebuilding the front of the school, not looking surprised in the least bit by the damage. They musta' done this before I bet.
"Pardon me sirs, but do ya'll have a bit of metal to spare? We kinda have a situation on the side of the school and I could really use some," he said politely. They pointed him to a pile of scrap metal that was laid out in the corner. "Sure help yourself," one of the workers said to him. Sean smiled and tipped his hat. "Thank ye kindly sir."
He went over to the pile and took a big pile in his arms, not being able to carry anymore. He then walked back through the snow to the kitchen area slowly, not wanting to drop anything. This way I can use he metal to keep the wall steady for now and cover any cracks that might show up. Maybe I shoulda told them construction workers about it... Sean thought as he arrived at the kitchen scene.
"Howdy ya'll, I'm back," he said with a grin to Heather, Kevin and the girl who was crying in the corner. Hopefully she just got scared by the dragon boy they called Guardian's display of anger.

Everything was going wrong. A giant hole was in the kitchen, Sara was crying, Heather herself wanted to but she was stronger than that, K'8 nearly died and Guardian was no where to be found. The days became worse and worse. Heather woke up from her thoughts when she realized Sean returned and smiled at her. She wasn't aware of her surroundings at all prior to that, for she wished the entire thing never happened. "God this day sucks," she said to herself not knowing it was loud for all to hear. She started at the floor, it was filled with water. Guess I should start the cleaning. Much less to do after, she thought.
Concentrating on the element, Heather was able to grasp every drop of water spilled, and guide it to the outside of the mansion. She would have brought it to the sink, however Guardian got rid of that. Heather sighed, starring at the mess that she started. Although the major hole in front of them all wasn't her fault, the water bender couldn't help but feel fully responsible.

Kevin was in the midst of sculpting the wall back when Sean came back with a bunch of metal. "Be careful TuneUp" he said worriedly "My sculpts are very fragile just yet, but that metal is perfect for strengthening the wall." He focused and made as much of the wall as he could remember, but not too much detail because he couldn't form that much light just yet. His power was very useful in this circumstance, but they kids would all have to remember not to fight in here again, the wall would shatter and cut them to ribbons if they cracked it apart.
He looked over at Sean and smiled, because he was so good looking with his cowboy hat on and his arms full of metal bits. 'Oh, cool, we finally get to see this guy use his powers. Maybe he'll sweat and that would mean he was hot, well that would mean he would be hot too actually.' Kevin thought as he was already pretty hot, and not from just using his powers. TuneUp had something to do with it too.

"Don't ya worry Kevin, I think we'll be alright. it ain't the first time I had to build somethin' with metal to support glass. Had to do that once for Ol' Mrs. Marsh when my brother broke her window when he was playin' football by her house. Somehow I managed to do it without breakin' the rest of the window," Sean called out to Kevin with a reassuring smile. He set the scrap metal down and looked over at Heather, who looked right unhappy.
"Why the long face Heather? It ain' nothin' to worry about, we'll have this all fixed up in a jiffy here. It's alright now, no harm done. I'm sure that girl is jus' fine and these things happen sometimes," he said softly in his Texan drawl as he put his arm around the smaller girl's shoulder comfortingly. I'm sure that this wasn' the worst thing that's ever happened here between the students, Sean though as he gave her a reassuring smile.
"The wall's lookin' real good Kevin, great job there," Sean called as he gave Heather's shoulder a final light squeeze before he went over to his pile of scrap metal and selected bits of metal to use to fill all the holes in. Since he found out he could change the shape of metal as well as it's size and thickness, he had much more fun working on machines.
He kneed down beside the glowing wall and looked at some of the crevices that still allowed air into the room. He did usually prefer to start at the foundation of things in cases like this. Sean picked up a piece of sturdy metal and placed it over the crevice. Gently, he pushed his fingers against the metal where he knew the crevice would be and filled it up nicely. He then bent the end of the metal to fit against the sculpture and the wall, snapping it in place. It was a nice and sturdy fit. "There, that should fit nicely," Sean said with a big grin as he proceeded to do the same in the other crevices in the light sculpture wall, making it nice and stable.
"I think this will hold nicely, what do ya'll think?" he called as he finished patching up the last uneven crevice. Boy, this sure is hard work. Glad I don't got my winter jacket on or I'dda been steamin'.

Falling out of her daze, Heather felt the touch of Sean on her shoulder. The warmth made her feel awake and slightly better. She looked at him with plain eyes, and sniffed back her tears. All she was able to do was nod and wince. "Thanks Sean," she said sadly. "I'll try to feel better." After she spoke, the Texan gave her another assuring squeeze and aided Kevin with rebuilding the wall.
At the moment, Heather wasn't too happy with Kevin either, however that wasn't important at the moment. What was important was if Ms. Frost would allow the wall they re-structured to pass. Heather saw solidified glass and metal. It didn't really blend with the rest of the kitchen. And there was still the missing sink to worry about. Heather didn't answer, however heard the sobs of Sara near her. She walked over to the scared girl and sighed. "Sara, you OK?" she asked warmly.

Still crying, Sara looked up at Heather, and opened her mouth to speak but thought better of it. She had just seen this girl almost suffocate Kate to death in a burst of rage, followed by Guardian reacting in a similar fashion. Right now she was scared of Heather and even more scared of Guardian. She did not want to say anything. Yes, Kate was annoying. Yes, she had threatened Kate herself, but she would never have hurt her physically, much less tried to kill her. That kind of anger was unbelievable. So she said nothing. She simply nodded her head weakly "yes" to the question, and put her head back down and tried to imagine it all away.
A few moments later though she thought of Amos. Oh, my goodness, he was still tied to his tree outside. He still hadn't had breakfast. She needed to take care of him. She looked towards Heather and said softly, "If you'll excuse me, I need to ask Shadowkat if I can go out and check on Amos...maybe bring him some breakfast too. That little bit of cereal was not enough and he's probably starving. I'll see you." She tried to not make it sound cold, but the last words came out that way anyway. Her voice also had a slight quiver of fear. She would be avoiding Heather and Guardian for some time.

Meanwhile..
Kitty and k’8 were still talking, and at the team leader’s most recent question, she saw it seemed to have confused her charge by the look on her face. She nodded a moment, listening to k’8’s answer to her inquiry. “Yes, weird. Alright, well, do you know where your demons go after they disappear? Like some sort of ‘k’8 Demon Heaven’ or purgatory or something like that? You get my idea right?” she asked, her head tilting slightly.
She hadn’t realized she hadn’t fully thought out her plan of warming up k’8. “Oh, towels, ok. Be right back,” she assured the girl as she saw her shiver. She quickly phased up, hoping she’d find herself in some random but lucky linen closet, and as she came through the ceiling and into the floor of the second floor, she lucked out. She quickly grabbed a couple of big thick towels and phased them back down with her as she went back down to the girl. “Ahh, sorry about that,” she apologized as she offered a hand to help her up, though kept her other hand at the ready should she slip, the towels lay on the floor.
She heard k’8 speak again, presumably about Mr. Putty-Man again, and nodded slightly. “I bet that he wouldn’t want to come back for a while. But don’t you think it’s a bit unfair that they should be able to be mean and not the people they’re bothering? Surely the person should be able to stand up for himself or herself, but of course not blow it out of proportion if it isn’t necessarily dire,” she said, thinking about the chaos she had walked in on.
