Heather rose her head from her knees as she heard more people enter the room. She saw Lian and smiled but didn't feel like yelling in the vast space to say hello to her. She could wait later or after the meeting. Today was a rough day for everyone who was involved with the Brotherhood attack and everyone took it in their own way.
Heather glanced to Ian and Lorelai. They seemed OK about the whole thing. Everyone else in the room did too. It was weird, as if it never happened. Then again, the majority of the students weren't involved with the attack. Heather sighed again, thinking about the ambush. How they all suspected something awkward with the delivery guy first arrived. Of course it was Pyro in disguise and Aideen probably kicked herself for not knowing Mystique was the fake Haven. But then when they discovered that Haven was now part of the Brotherhood, Heather wanted to punch her. However more things, or a person were important at the time and she didn't want to deal with it at that moment.
At the corner of her eye, Heather spotted Aideen. She looked terrible. Not physically, however mentally she was shook up in some way. Heather couldn't understand why. Maybe she felt guilty about leading them all to danger. But it wasn't really her fault. Heather would have come over to comfort her, however she learned earlier that Aideen was one to think on her own and not enjoy uninvited company. Heather sighed again, eager for the meeting to begin and waited patiently on the floor.

Eva listened restlessly to the idle chatter. A cosy couple and a few other girls. She rested her back against the wall, watching from closed eyes. She sighed irritably. The lack of sleep and the shock of reality had given her very little patience to go through a long day. The man hadn't started speaking yet and Eva wished he would hurry up the process. She looked down to her hand which appeared to be normal but had a slight tingling. She stretched it, looking over it puzzled. She shook her head then her eyes moved back onto the room.
A strange scent caught her attention, like a similar person. Her eyes moved to a wolf like girl that she had seen in the battle. There was a silent acknowledgment that Eva gave to Lurai. The feeling was one she had not experienced before. It was, a call, a pack call... the call of the wild. With one half of her screaming against the whole idea of mutants and the connection and similarities of powers to the other half silently wishing to join the world that called so desperately to her. It was there, wolf and human fought for opposing ideas. Where Eva fought against Moonshine in a silent internal battle.
Eva turned her head and once again ignored the Hanger's occupants. She could care very little about special abilities or planes. For now, she cared only for the battle that raged. The tiniest of nostalgic sighs escaped her lips as she caught a glimpse of London in her memories. She gritted her teeth and pushed the memory away. She needed little of that. it made the adjustment harder. She glanced nervously to the ceiling, still fairly uncomfortable being underground.

Lorelai returned Ian’s goofy grin and rolled her eyes. She hit him with the back of her hand as he would expect by now; he knew her well enough to know she would. “Shush you, you didn’t smell like roses either,” she countered playfully. She smirked as he leaned his arms at her sides as she carefully leaned a bit forward, minding her midsection. “I know, what a shame,” she whispered back, still smirking. She noticed Heather had come in, but kept her distance, and her smirk faded a little, but when Ian spoke again, she laughed and nodded, “For once.”
Glancing at Aideen when he whispered to her about her, Lorelai frowned a little. “No, she seems really down, or shaken up, or both. Either way it’s not good. Makes me want to talk to her even though she doesn’t look like she wants to socialize,” she whispered back, looking back down at Ian. Hearing more footsteps entering, she looked up to see Lurai and a new blonde girl had come in. Seeing that she was talking to the girl she heard to be Ripple, she wasn’t going to say anything, but since it seemed Ripple had grown quiet.
The girl looked interesting to her, and she was curious. Thankfully she was nearby so she didn’t have to speak so loudly to get her attention. “Hey!” she called lightly, waving for when she got the girl’s attention. She was new and Lorelai felt she could make do with some more female friends, even though there was Torri, who she hadn’t seen since the fight, and that made her worry a bit.

Lurai's instincts went on guard as she sensed a gaze on her. She looked up to see a girl glancing at her. She smelled like someone familiar, but Lurai had never seen the girl before. She had the scent of someone acquainted with a pack. Lurai stared at the girl curiously. She couldn't believe she hadn't noticed her earlier. The wolf smell was radiating off of her. It was very odd. She shook her head focusing back on the more important things on her head. It didn't matter either way, she wasn't going to be there for long. Either way this girl didn't have the scent of the woods or the wild, she probably had no idea what it meant to be a wolf, and Lurai wouldn't bother herself with trivial things like that. She probably didn't know what loyalty was either.
Who was she to speak of loyalty though. She was leaving the only person she had left because of what she felt was duty. Truth of the matter was, she was no use to Riker anymore. Maybe this girl would be able to take the place of her. Give Riker something to hold onto. Maybe since she smelled like a wolf, she could replace her scent, and help him move on.
Lurai shook her head. She didn't need to think of her brother finding a replacement for her right now. At the moment that was not her focus. She had to think of how she was going to approach Ms. Frost about this. Come to think of it, she wondered where Ms. Frost was. She couldn't find a fresh scent anywhere. She focused her ears twitching them slightly to see if she could hear here. The acoustics in the room though prevented her from getting very far. She let out a sigh. She would go outside after this meeting and listen there. Maybe she could hear her then.

Lian seemed to be extremely quiet and Skyler was a bit more uncomfortable now but that changed when someone else waved her over. She looked nice enough, or maybe Sky was just being optimistic, either way it was a chance to meet someone new. Or maybe two people, as the girl seemed to be very close with a boy next to her as well.
Walking over she sent the two of them friendly smiles, tension nonexistant, and gave them a small wave. "Hi," She greeted, her outgoing personality starting to comeout, "I'm Sky, very new here, and you are?" She asked the both of them.

After getting a message from a man named Cyclops, Riker thought it was a better idea to take Shimmer to the Hanger, then straight to the med lab. It seemed to be urgent, and though she was in pain, it seemed she could make it through a meeting, or at least that's what he hoped. "I'm taking you straight to the med lab after this though, don't think this got you out of anything" he said to Torri as he walked into the room.
Riker looked around the Hanger bay to see his sister sitting by herself over by the wall. He paused for a moment as a scent caught his nose. 'Smells like a wolf' he thought to himself sniffing the air his eyes laying on a girl not to far from Lurai. 'That's odd' he thought to himself as he sniffed some more, before looking down at Shimmer. "After all I'm not blind, I know your hurt, and I could use a bandage change anyways. So I guess I'll just have to stay there with you" he said with a smile looking at the pretty girl in his arms.

As Sky went over to talk to some other people, Lian shrugged and went over to talk to Heather. 'Hey,' she said, 'Do you know what we're meant to be here for yet?' She looked around the room. Nothing much seemed to be happening yet, so she stood and waited, balancing her weight on one leg.

Torri groaned a little as she made her way with Riker to the meeting at the hanger. She was walking a little straighter now, but she had to bite down hard on her bottom lip to keep from voicing the pain she felt by just walking. "Riker, i told you, it'll just be a bit of bruising, i mean come on....i can't be that bad off can i, i mean....its me." she tried to joke with a half smile, "But you need to be seen, i worry about you too." she warned, trying to look stern. "So if your worse off than you say....your for it!" she added, smiling a little more to herself than before.

Lorelai smiled as she saw the girl approach with a friendly smile. She waved for a second more before she let her hand down to rest at her side. "Hey," she replied, giving her a friendly smile as the girl came right out with her name and status at the school. "I'm Lorelai, codename Frostbite, and this is Ian," she said, tilting her head towards her new boyfriend. "So you're new? Sorry you came at such a bad time, it really isn't like that," she said, referring to the fight that Sky must have came in on. "We've been around for a bit. So what team are you on?" she asked curiously, speaking kindly.

Riker smirked at her. "Not gonna work darling, you're going to the med lab, even if I have to break your legs and drag you there" he said giving her a cheeky grin. "Lets go see how my sister is doing. I haven't seen her since the battle. You've been to big a distraction" he said winking at her and grabbing her hand before leading her towards Lurai who was being very odd. She seemed distant and it left him no comfort. She was hiding something. He smiled at Shimmer, hiding his thoughts.

Torri wasnt sure whether Riker was kidding or not, but gave a half hearty and slightly worried laugh at the joke, actually wondering if he would physically force her to go. "Yea.....you go ahead, um, she'll want to speak to you, and like you said. I'm distracting..." she mumbled, letting go of his hand and motioning for him to go ahead, while she walked slowly over to a nearby wall and leaned her back against it, breathing out slowly in a slight whistling sound. Her body was in agony, as was she, but she was refusing to let it get her down....she was stronger than that,

Ian nodded grimly when she mentioned Aideen's state. "Yea. Bummer man, I'd help her if I didn't think she would roast me for bugging her. She had it worse than any of us I think," he said quietly. He looked up and Lorelai and gave her a crooked smile. At least she was alright for the most part. Physical wounds heal quicker than emotional ones though, and Aideen looked like her entire cold and indifferent exterior had broken by something pretty bad. A sour taste formed in his mouth as he thought of what might have happened in the forest with the giant tiger man who looked at her like she was a fresh piece of meat. Speaking in the way of attraction and food too. Ian gave Lorelai a small smile, happy that he was at least able to protect her from him.
When she called a new girl over Ian gave her a friendly smile. "What's up dudette? Me and Pipsqueek here are Acolytes," he said with an easy grin. He might as well socialize before the meeting started and not focus on things he can't fix.

Lorelai nodded in agreement. Both of them would talk to Aideen if they could, even if she didn't like them, but she was sure they'd try at some time. "Yeah, she looks like she's been put through the emotional wringer, and that can hurt more than physical pain and often does. Harder to heal," she murmured as she returned his crooked smile with a normal one of her own.
When Ian acknowledged Sky, Lorelai smiled as he spoke to her and waited a response from her.

The more the talked to people the more she realized that they must have been speaking the truth, the fact that huges fights didn't happen like that all the time. It was slightly comforting and she was glad that people were talking to her, it made her feel like she was part of them though she still felt a bit left out as she hadn't been there long. "My code name is, er, 'Decay', I think..." She replied, hoping she hadn't gotten it wrong. "And I'm in the er, Paragon group? I think that's what its called."
She turned to the boy as well, he had called her 'dudette' maybe he was American? "Yeah I hope this place isn't always like this, I'm not so sure about any of this to be honest, everything is really confusing." She told the two with a shrug.

A smirk formed on Ian's face as he looked at Lorelai, wondering if she was thinking the same thing as him. Spitfire would probably not be too pleasant with any new people, seeing as she didn't like any of the other people. Even worse that the girl was on her team. But hey you never know with Aideen. He turned back to Sky and grinned. "Radical codname. And you are on a... well a good team for the most part," he said keeping the same easy grin on his face.
"And naw babe, this place is pretty chill most of the time. Fun too. You'll like it. Its a bummer though, cause you know being a mutant and all, we got ourselves lots of enemies. But we got them. The teachers are mad chill too. So you'll be fine," he said with a friendly smile as he snaked his hand into Lorelai's and linked their fingers together. He liked this whole turn on their relationship.
