Cyclops nodded his head a few times. He knew Emma had hardly begun to voice her opinion of what kind of mess he had made of the poor girl's mind. He himself had weighed the consequences and had decided to gamble the child's psyche for the chance to find his fallen comrades.
Either way he would lose, he knew, but he hadn't considered how much Ember would lose in the search. No, that had not managed to cross his mind in the slightest. Emma was correct about him, he could be singularly sighted, and short sighted as well.
"We found this at the bottom of the ravine. We followed the blood trail and at the base of the cliff was an immense blast mark. It looked like a giant scoop taken out of the landscape with a superheated ice cream scoop. It was a quarter mile across at least and the surface of it was crusted three or four inches thick with this stuff- I think it's from the bombs Nightcrawler disposed of. Maybe Haven knows more than she's told us. Emma would you mind?" Scott pointed over to Haven and nodded as if to indicate she ought to do a little digging in the child's mind for some answers.

"No, I am quite certain that it isn't from alien origin. Some of the componates in this fragment are earthbound. It seems to me as you see in my notes that I believe they are the result of various explosions that have fused together a number of different biological matters, some of which I have yet to figure out," Hank said as he placed the notes on the table and studied the fragment. "It seems to be the result of seveal different explosives. I will need to know which explosives were used. Unfortunately I had no time to study them all," he said as he took the chip and placed it in the safebox.
"It may indeed be the key to finding our friends," He said as he looked at his notes once more. Yes he will dedicate the better parts of his night to finding out the mystery behind this rock.

Haven looked back at her friend and said "You don't sound fine, AND you don't look fine either, something is wrong with you." She hurried over to the bag of sandwiches and scooped it up accounting for her forcefield, and she cradled it in her arms as she rushed back to give the bag to Aideen. "I think you'll like these sandwiches better than that one, you should have two I think. They'll make you smile."
She hated to admit and would never acknowledge that she'd gotten the idea to share her sandwiches with Ember form Ms.Frost. She would have done it on her own anyway, but she was too wrapped up in the hug to think of fluffernutters. Then she was too mad at BEAST. She knew they had drugged her, she was gonna make him pay for it, she just had to figure out how best to get back at him. 'Another name added to my list' she thought.
"I didn't mean that you did any drugs Ember, not on your own. I think that hairy, blue, shit-stinking bastard over there musta drugged you somehow." Haven whispered as she pointed to BEAST. "You should fry his ass." she hissed, with a scowl on her face and her brow furrowed.

Aideen was tired a bit. it was late and she hadn't slept much the night before. That's alright though, sleep can wait. Why would she want to sleep now? She didn't have her olives or her rice milk yet. Aideen turned her attention back to Haven. She wasn't as bad as they all seemed to think. In fact she was kind to save her from Sabretooth. Who knows any longer and he would have completely shredded her sweats. Then she would have been cold and that wouldn't be pleasant.
"No thank you, I have had my order to eat. I have been given all the rations I deserve for my share," Aideen said. Maybe that biker bar in town would be hiring. She can look for a job there when she turns eighteen. "Beast wouldn't drug me, he is a superior. He has no need to drug me, I will do as I'm told," she said in her soft emotionless voice. Her hands rested on her thighs and she gazed at her superiors. "I wonder if that little chip is still warm..." she thought out loud as she remembered her lava lamp.

"Clearly you will need to work on this dilemma more." She said looking into Beast's eyes. "As for the girls, well, it is late." Emma said. "Hank, if you would please see Haven to her stasis cell. I will walk Ember to her room and Scott If you could look in on this other situation." Emma reached into her pocket and pulled out a hand written note. "It was waiting for me in the kitchen, tacked to the fridge with a magnet" she said as she handed it to Cyclops.

"What's this?" He said as he unfolded the note and read it silently.
---------- Dear Ms. Frost,
This is Sara. I don't really know where to begin so I'll just come out and say it. I was upset and scared so I went into the woods to be alone and while out there I made a sculpture of a big creature to protect me...a golem. In Jewish tradition they are dust men who follow their creator's instructions and protect the community. Well, I didn't really expect it to be anything more than a sculpture although I guess I secretly hoped it would be. Well, I got really upset and I wound up crying on the sculpture and it came alive. It was hungry so I had to feed it. I gave it some chicken. It seems like a little child who thinks I'm it's mother and it cries if I try to leave. I'm going to have to stay with it for the night. So I'm taking it to the stables so we can sleep. It's 6 feet tall, has a lion's head, a bear's body, and large bat-like wings. It won't hurt anybody. It's terrifed of owls and rustles in the tree. I swear, it's like a big baby. Anway, we're in the stable.
- Sara ---------
"Oh, what next?" He looked up from the note as he shook his head. "Sure Emma, I was headed outside anyway. Ember left some things in the garage, some groceries and a book. I'll get them and meet you both in the foyer then I'll head back outside to the stables." Scott was wondering if it was his imagination, or was this class of students the most needy bunch of children to ever pass through the hallowed halls of Xavier's. He thought it best to keep quite on his feelings deciding it best to just get to it and he smiled a little before walking out of the Genetics-Lab.

Hank sighed and gave his colleague an exasperated look. "If I must than I shall," he said, agreeing for the sole reason that it would make things easier on Emma, whom he knew had a trying day. He turned to Haven. "Come along you. Back to you living quarters with you," he said to the bratty child.
He made sure she was ahead of him before he would take her across the lab to her cell so he could keep a better eye on her. Before he left he looked to Aideen and kept his face as gentle as he could. "Aideen, please remember your meals and get sufficient rest," he said to the young woman before he looked over at Emma. He would need to talk to her about the girl's state of mind, but hopefully Emma would have luck with the girl. A female figure might do her good. "Step along," he said to the miscreant and walked her back to her cell.
Hank had a lot of work ahead of him.
