Not even hardly turning to look at Tracy she said over her shoulder in an offhand way "Yeah? Thanks, they are comfy, more like real clothes." After all they'd been through Gina just couldn't bring herself to like the girl, there was something too goody-goody about HeartString. Even her codename irritated Decibel.
When Ironclad spoke though Gina grinned, she knew what he was getting to be all about, and she was finding out that she had other powers aside from her mutant powers that could effect a guy. She spun around for him and said "Oh? Do you like what you see?" completing her spin she looked again to see that Tracy had walked up on him and was doing her best creepy clingy routine.
'Does she ever quit?' Gina thought, her smile fading in a flash, and decided to drop the whole flirting thing right then and there thinking 'Ah, he's just a Corsair jerkweed anyway. She can have him if she wants him, whatever.' She turned around to walk up the ramp into the belly of the jet just in front of the two of them and swished her ass just a little in defiance as she went.
Picking a window seat near the back of the plane she sat pulling her guitar into her lap and dug a pick out of the back of her glove to strum a chord or two while she waited. ''This is gonna be so not fun! " she muttered "Like a trip to the dentist would be way better.'' She laughed under her breath a little at her own mocking sarcasm.

Almost as naturally as flexing his fingers, Mason whipped the gun into his holster just as HeartString grabbed a hold of his arm. "You know me doll, I had a good ol' time in St. Louis vacating the pubs. Started a couple of bar fights just to piss people off cause no many how many chairs or pool sticks they hit me, I just don't feel anything. Then I just grab the chair that I sit on, hit some people and had a beer," he said with a laugh and grinned down at her. It wasn't that he went out looking for fights, when people bother Mason he just took it in stride and tried to get people to reach their boiling point. It was pretty amusing.
"Then I got in contact with Red, you know the guy that experiments with new gun prototypes and lets me test the out? Well he got a new one for me, this baby right here," he pointed to the gun in his main holster. "I'm telling you doll, this baby right here is the best I got yet. My curve shots are smooth and exact like nothing else. I practiced with it all over the city for about a week. It's a dream doll. Anyways I went to New York for a bit to see my ah, 'old friend.' He liked the prototype a lot. We did some target practice in his basement. That about sums it up for me doll," Mason finished when they were already on the Blackbird. He sat in the seat on the side not far away from Gina and dragged Tracy down with him. "How was that gig in Europe by the way? You had me worried when I didn't hear from you for a week," Mason asked her with a look anyone else would say was cool, but Trace knew him enough that he was actually worried for the girl.
Man I hate being middle man between these two. Trace is my best girl, and Gina and me always been chill. I took her to her first real club a couple of years back. Got her the fake ID and everything. This is gonna be a long ass mission. Least I got my gun, Mason thought as he gave Gina a pointed look. "Gina baby don't be like that. I don't blow you off when you're chilling with the Infection and the Butter Knife. Talk to me too girl, I got some new locations for you in New York and St. Louis. Two bands well known in the underground in St. Louis need a guitarist. One of them is about to get signed," he said coolly and gave her a smirk to say no hard feelings. He wasn't one bothered by stuff unless it had to do with him. He didn't want another of his girls to blow him off.
Mason sat back next to Tracy and began checking on his numerous guns. "So Doc, now that we're away from the others and all of us are actually gonna be involved in this luxury trip to hell, wanna fill us in on exactly what we're doing?" he asked as he loaded his guns with the ammo he kept on his utility belt.

"Hey, it's cool Baron. It's whatever, yo! I don't really care, we got a mission you know?" she used her pet name for him 'Baron'. She liked to call him that after the red baron, sorta. The formal usage of it, when she was in the fun flirty mood she usually took with him (when Tracy was nowhere around, of course) was Baron Mason Von Rictorfus, but right now all she felt like saying was a simple 'Baron'.
"I'm cool and so what if we don't like each other's friends too much, no biggie right?" She smirked a little at him, but the truth was evident. It was going to be a rough mission. Gina would just have to deal, and be ready for the moment when Tracy would crumble under the pressure. She wouldn't let HeartString's next failure get anybody killed.

Hearing Dr.McCoy, Heather looked to Veronika and whispered "C'mon Veronika, maybe you can sit next to Onyx on the plane." She winked and gave her a small smile. In reality, Heather didn't want her new friend to sit next to the jerk. She felt save with Veronika next to her. However being a good friend meant to not be selfish and now was a good time.
Walking into the plan, Heather couldn't help but overhear the conversations between HeartString, Decibel and Ironclad. There was clearly something going on between Decibel and HeartString however they wouldn't cough up what. To Heather, it was a bit hard to believe that HeartString did anything wrong. She seemed so nice and kind hearted, probably why her codename seemed to fit her. Brushing the confusion aside, Heather took her seat in front of Decibel, strapped herself in and looked to see where Onyx and Veronika would sit. This should be interesting, she thought with a smile.

Though no one would know by the cool air of confidence that surrounded her, Veronika was actually quite nervous about going on a mission and she had not even had a chance to set up her room. Or even move into her room for that matter. Beast's words relieved her more than she let on as well. Thank Goodness! I do not want this outfit ruined. I am not one of my papa's henchmen, why should I be forced to act like one? This whole concerned and helpful act is becoming a bore and a pain at this point. But you must never allow people to see a different side of you so soon, than they will know it is all an act. I do not have to worry too much though, Beast said I will be 'helping' from the sides. One can never say that he isn't a man of his word. Or man like thing. The Dazzler seems to like him enough, so I must not say anything too horrible. Celebrities must pick the people they associate with.
Veronika looked over at Heather, her new friend, and gave her a confident smirk. "Darlin' you never want to seem desperate. The key is to play it cool and confident, letting them come to you. Usually the only time that does not work is if a man's interest are within his own gender," she whispered with a giggle as she sat in the seat next to her friend and put her seat belt. I've been begging papa for a private jet of my own for so long, but he just says that when I am rich and famous he will buy me one. Veronika looked at the older kids near her and observed the interaction, breaking it down in her head. She always liked to have a feel of those she was around to know what to say and not to say around them. Even though she was listening to everything going on around her, Veronika still managed to toss Onyx a flirtacious smile.

Allison smiled softly at the German boy, giving him one more comforting smile before she looked over at Hank. "I'll give Cap'n a call once we get to the Avengers tower. I do miss them. Tony, charming as ever and Thor of course. They're really great," she said giving Beast a side long glance. "Oh course, I'm already with my favorite member, honorary or not," Allison said with a wink before she placed a gentle hand on the back of Onyx's back.
"C'mon darlin' lets get in there. Faster we get in, faster we get to the Avengers Tower and get them outta hell," she said leading him inside gently and taking a seat on the side closer to the cockpit and to where Forge was sitting. She buckled herself in and glanced at Forge who looked ready to get moving. "Let's get this party started and jet out. It's like old times being in here," Ali said with a grin.

For once, Hank McCoy was quite content being blue and furry because it hid his blush and his flustered manner. 'Amazing how after all that has happened since the Heartbreak Hotel, something still seems to exist. Perhaps I should not brush off Kitty's ideas on romance so much,' he thought as he boarded the jet. Hank pressed the switched that closed and sealed the jet door behind him and looked at the group. 'Hmm... Onyx has yet to find a seat. After his display in the lab, I am still quite wary of him being near Aqua. I am sure she is wary as well. Emotions run high in situations like this and I would rather not take the chance or a further disturbance,' Hank thought and looked at Onyx. "Onyx, I would prefer it if you took a seat by Dazzler and myself. You've calmed down a great deal and I would prefer to keep it that way," he said with a smile at both him and one at Aqua who sat nearby.
Hank waited for Onyx to take his seat before he sat in the pilot seat. He buckled in and place the began switching on the flight panel. "I assure you Ironclad I will explain everything once we're in the air. For now everyone make sure you're seat belts are on and prepare for take off. I do warn you this will be a little noisy."
With that, Beast pressed the open button on the panel and the loud sound of the basketball courts opening vibrated through the room. With practiced expertise, he put the jet in take off mode and it rose up smoothly with the lights brightening up the entire hanger. Snow was falling softly outside as they entered the outdoors and rose up smoothly. Hank knew how to take off quickly as well, but with the children on board he didn't want to unless an immediate emergency was present. Finally, they were high enough in the air for the courts to automatically close up. With Forge's help, Hank piloted the jet smoothly into the air and switched it to camouflage mode.
Hank looked over at the main panel and spoke into the speaker. "Avengers Tower, shortest route with topside landing at Tower base." The GPS automatically reconfigured the route to map out for them, since it was much easier, especially with the snowfall. The GPS spoke "Time: 35 minutes."
Hank took off the headset he put on and looked at Forge. "Take over while I speak with the others before we get to the Towers," he said to his friend. "And do remember that there is no need to speed, we have a mapped out route," Hank added knowingly.
He turned his chair around and looked at the group, pulling out his computer and putting the lights on the plane. "Alright, now that we have a bit of time I will explain in more details. The device that opened the portal to Limbo was made up by a piece that was left over by the bombs that were planted around the school during the Brotherhood Attack. Magneto, our oldest enemy, obviously meant for the school to be transported. which leaves us to be very wary. None of us know what is happening to them in Limbo, but it cannot be anything good if Magneto is involved with the one of the Underworld dimensions," he said to the group of Mutants, knowing it still sounded very complex to many of them. "I do not know how we will come about this mission. I wanted to be ready for anything possible. We might have to end up sending several of you with the Avengers to Limbo. We might not even to be able to create a portal. We won't know till we speak with the Avengers. Until then, I want us all prepared for everything." As Hank finished his last sentence, he pressed the print button on him laptop. The jet's printer that is programmed to all authorized computers began printing seven sets of documents, which Beast handed out to each of the students.
"In these papers, are the documents we have not just on Limbo and the demons found in it, but also the profile for every student and teacher that are currently trapped there. I want you all to read it over and be prepared for everything! The lives of out fellow X-Men and our friends are all at stake, and I would like to be prepared from all angles. Learn the faces you do not know from the profile pictures and know their powers. This will give you an idea of what to look for and what to avoid doing if we do end up going there," Hank finished as he watched the students look through the documents. "Any questions at all, ask them now. I want us all to be very clear as to what we may or may not deal with here."

"Yeah, yeah, yeah Henry. I'll be gentle,," Forge said snidely with a roll of his eyes as he took the wheel. "I still say it would be better to go a bit faster," he grumbled as the jet shot smoothly across the sky.
Forge steered the jet calmly as Henry spoke to the group, managing to listen carefully at the same time. Here we go with this again. Emma's an amazing woman, and ol' Cyclops ain't bad himself. They'll get them out of there. Last I heard from Emma these kids are a sharp bunch. Well most of them, but what can you expect from kids? They'll all get out of there, I know it. Less sharper idiots I've met managed to escape. If these kids are as clever as Emma says, they'll be out of there in one piece, he thought as he smoothly guided the plane to the map the GPS offered them.

Mato took the papers from Beast in respect, though honestly he had no clue what his role would be. I do not think anyone knows their roles. I was sent here by the elders for more training and to help people. I suppose the gods brought this forth as my first service to others. To put things back in the order that they are intended is indeed an important task, he thought as he looked through the files.
Limbo is just like Forge and the elders spoke of in their stories. It says here Belasco has reign, which means his spiritual and mystical influence is most potent and powerful. I will be of no help inside, perhaps with healing but only the more minor wounds while in there. I will have to make strategic decisions in how I can use my abilities best, Mato thought as he read the files on Limbo. He then turned to look at the profiles of the people trapped in there. Emma Frost... the Headmistress. Forge did say she was extremely intelligent and very beautiful. He is correct in one aspect and the other I'm sure. A world class master telepath. I understand why Forge said she is not one to have as an enemy. Neither is the Headmaster. Cyclops can blast a hole through a mountain? That is certainly is a power to fear, but I am sure only by his enemies and those who have done wrong. The others here have interesting powers as well. I cannot imagine how they get along in a place like Limbo, he said in his head as he looked through the profiles.
This woman can phase through almost any object, very impressive and useful. The boy with super strength and a healing factor is useful in any situation, so is a constant shield around you like this girl Haven here. Oh no, I hope the girl with the ice power survives. It must be hard for her, she's very pretty for a girl with blue hair. Like the sky. This girl... Ember it says must be having a very easy time in the Underworld. A girl with fire powers in a realm full of fire, like a goddess coming to her home, she certainly looks the part. This girl with the power to summon demons with her blood must feel right at home here as well. I don't quite know how a boy who manipulates metal or a boy who creates light would do at Limbo, same for a girl who brings people to life with her tears, but this seems a very general descriptions of powers. The dragon boy is the one who seems to have it easiest of all of them. He could fit in perfectly. Hopefully everyone is fairing well, Mato said in his mind as he looked over all the profiles carefully. He would save his questions when he knew his role in this mission.

Onyx felt a wave of relief surge through him as he was assigned a seat nearer the teachers, he wouldn't have been able to stand being sat anywhere near the others. Blondie and twerp especially. As he strapped himself in, he took a look around the jet from behind the shades, it was a little harder now as the lighting didn't work well with the blackout he was seeing through. Giving a low sigh, Jasper reached a hand up and removed the shades again, tucking them into the pocket of his heavy leather jacket and closing his eyes to take a few calming breaths. He flexed his fingers gently and fel the sparks force their way to his fingertips. Pent up frustration and anger didn't bode well with him, but he refused to let the others see him weak and giving into those emotions again.
He cracked his neck a few times and hissed quietly as he pulled back the stray energy sparks. A jet would not be an appreciative time to let energy roam free within it. Opening his eyes again as he heard the furry man adress the students, he exhaled deeply again while taking his set of documents and fingering the top edges of them, mentally groaning at the amount of reading he had to do. But he knew better than to waste time and started reading through the information, taking in the seperate dossiers of the students and teachers trapped inside hell.
Haven - Forcefield generation. 'So thats the albino chick, great, how wonderful, we have to rescue her too? Im not making that MY job.' D'mnchyld - Deamon Spawner 'Thats the goth chick from the lab, she should be alright there. TuneUP - Bends and shapes all forms of metal 'That kid looks like he'll be alright, although i dont think there'll be much metal there. hmm.' Ember - Fire Manipulation. 'Aideen.... Well at least it says here that she is immune to fire, that still doesn't make me less worried. Self sacrifice ... oh god let us get to wherever we are soon!' Frostbite - Ice controle 'She's going to have a struggle, i might have to help out there, shes very weak against heat, and i dont think hell is going to freeze over any time soon.' Diesel - Super strength and healing ability 'Surfer goon, he doesnt look like he'll have too much of a bad time in Limbo, he seems to be one of the luckier ones.' Guardian - Physical mutation, superhuman strength, fire breather 'He doesn't look like he'll have too much bother either.' Hardlight - Light sculpting 'Thats the little guy in the room next to me, hmm, he is very small, he'll struggle, i think.'
Onyx flicked through the dossiers of the students, and simply glanced at the pictures of the teachers, trying to convert it all to memory in little time, he just wanted to fight something, rid himself of the building pressure and get his Aideen out of hell, even if she was probably the strongest there. Having mulled over each of the students he started thinking of ways to either avoid certain ones or get others out. deep down somewhere in Jasper was a soul, although very few people saw it, and as from a few months ago, he was very unwilling to have more blood spilt on his hands, once was enough and if he could somehow shake off the brand his mother had given him, even without saying it, then he would feel slightly less frustrated about having to be some sort of rescue recruit. All Onyx cared about was keeping his reputation up and not letting anyone else see what he really wanted in life, to them, he would be an angry hate fueled german kid with a bad attitude, and that was how he wanted it to stay. Anything else was weakness on his behalf, even letting this anger slip out would be a weakeness that he refused to acknowlege.
Finally reaching the file on the place itself, Onyx mulled over the identity of the character Belasco who apparently ruled over, he put together the sort of christian knowlege he knew from childhood to the appearence of the mutant, and the place in which he lived. He was the devil. And he ruled hell. The appearence was nothing but that which was traditionally used as the devil which he probably was. Giving a low sigh Japser continued reading, wndering how long it would be until he could finally get inside such a place and see this for himself.

"Europe was an experience, to say the least. Had my trip cut short. First by Dr. McTaggert and then by Miss Frost. I hope Cyclops is cool and gives me an extra week in the spring or summer because I have had my fill of picking up the pieces. You know, it's just like everybody thinks because my power is so much a benefit that I'm just supposed to be there for anybody, whenever, even if I don't have strength enough to lift my arms. And stupid me I just do it!" Tracy looked him in his eyes as she talked softly to him and vented her frustrations. She never really did let things out until it was almost too late, but she could always talk to Mason. He was more than understanding, he never seemed to be irritated with her even through all her bitch sessions over the years, and to be sure there was less than a handful of times that she complained. "But, Europe? What I saw of it was beautiful, I'm going back to really have a vacation someday. I've made that promise to myself." she blushed.
Tracy had become strong in dealing with her powers, she understood emotions on a level few could. She knew how toread them and feel them in others and how to take her own and fold them up into a tight little package to be saved for a later time and opened. She happened to enjoy opening up to Ironclad he was not like some of the others at the school, he had a warmth and humor when he dealt with things that HeartString enjoyed. Now, however, was not the time to dive too deeply into her own issues. Now was time to focus on the mission.
Gathering up the papers that Beast had distributed, straightening them and licking a fingertip she flipped through the information. Tracy was a great study, fast reader, good with names and face and even numbers. Her mind took what she could recall of the children when she'd met them the evening after the Brotherhood attack and laced it together with the cold hard facts of the black and white printouts. "You know Mason, there's more to these kids than what's here on these pages. Lots more. There are intangibles that might come into play." she spoke more out of her own heart then out of logic as she read through the information.
"Some of them are heroes, some not so much. I'm worried for them all though and for what that place will do to them. They won't come back the same. That's the worst part you know, they'll never be the same." She looked up from her papers into Mason's eyes. Ignoring all of the other emotions swirling inside the cabin of the Blackbird she focused on his.

Gina had tried to ignore the whole thing with Tracy and Mason, sitting oh so close and nearly snuggling. "Bitchy little princess." she grumbled under her breath. She would never admit it but she was a touch jealous of HeartString. The distraction of Beast made her sit up and gave her an excuse to focus on something besides the two Corsairs.
She propped herself up on a knee sliding her guitar off to the seat next to her and looked over the top of the seat in front of her own. She glanced down on the junior class girl and decided she wasn't worth a second look, but merely looked back up without any sign of like or dislike in her eyes. 'She'll prove herself or not, but that'll be up to her' Gina thought as she watched the fuzzy doctor pontificate. 'Inflict, how right you are. He does like to hear himself talk.' she smiled at the joke again and realized she honestly did miss her team mates. As disfunctional as the Hellions were, they were a tight knit group, the best team in the school in her opinion.
Never one to miss out on a mission detail when the printouts hit her palm she tore into them. "Hey, who's got a pencil I need one." she said. She wanted to make some notes and jot some ideas down in the margins. She always found it best to let concepts flow. Just like with music, tactics should be fluid and dynamic and she was already thinking of ways to approach the problems at hand.

Falling back in the familiar routine, Mason placed his gun back in the holster and listened to Tracy as she spoke about her trip and vented her feelings. He knew it was hard for her to always feel what others are feeling and empathize with them whether she liked it or not, and not have anyone to do the same with her. "Tracy girl, you got a useful power and a good heart. That's why people come to you all the time. Its ok to say no once in awhile, won't make people think any less of you if you just don't have the strength," he said softly, always keeping his voice low when he was having a talk like this in public. Mason had to be really careful around Tracy cause she was an empath. Appearance wise he seemed cool in any situation but he can't hide the inside stuff. So far he was pretty good at focusing on several feelings at once so his emotions were unidentifiable. Not just cause he didn't want Tracy knowing what was up with him, but he just hated telepaths. He didn't like people knowing everything that was inside him other than him. I still find it ironic to have an empath for a best girl. Irony's always a bitch, he thought as he quenched any emotion that would give away his true feelings for his best friend.
Mason was eager to get a distraction when Beast gave out the papers. He skipped over Emma, Cyclops, and Kitty's since he's known them for years. Cyclops is a cool guy. I still give him props for dealing with a woman like Frost. He'll do alright out there, him and Frost will kick everyone's ass, Mason thought as he looked over the papers. "I believe you Trace, some of them are really young, kinda puny looking too," he said and held up the one of the fire bender and the ice bender. "They look older, how come I don't know them?" he asked curious. Really easy on the eyes too. I love New York, only here is seventeen considered legal, he thought briefly looking them over before he went on to look at the others. "Life as a mutant changes us anyway Trace. The kind of thing isn't new. But for all you know they might come out for the better. You know how it goes on these missions," Mason said softly once again hating that he had to focus on a bunch of different feelings when he looked at her. freaking chill man. Not her, remember? There's a mission to worry about now, he thought working himself up with a bit more adrenaline, yet keeping a cool and in control exterior.

Heather smiled to Veronika as she decided to sit down next to her. She really is confident, the water manipulator thought. Maybe she could help me out with that department. She shrugged the thought and listened to Dr.McCoy's instructions. "Wow," she whispered as she received her copy of the files. "We get to read everything." In a way, the current experience was still amazing to her. Only several months ago, Heather came to the Xavier Institute of Higher Learning; practicing her motivation and trigger for her powers. Now, she was going her very first mission to save her friends, fellow students and faculty. The entire thing was happening so fast, and the excitement became mixed with fear.
One by one, Heather looked at each mutant's file. She came across the headmasters, believing that they would be fine considering they were very experienced with crisis. However when she came across Lorelai's file, Heather's heart began to feel the familiar sinking feeling. Even though what Veronika said made Heather think, Lorelai was still her friend and nothing could change that (at least that was what Heather believed). She came across Haven's and rolled her eyes. Even though she was a bitch, the girl was a human and stuck there. However her power would pretty much protect her in Limbo since "nothing" could touch her. Elixer, Guardian, Hardlight, TuneUp, D'mnchyld (more like pain in the ass to Heather), and Aideen all came next. Heather tried her best to remember their powers and how they would be effected in LIMBO.
Then she turned the page.... and Ian was there, smiling. Well at least his Dossier picture was. And that was when her heart sank back to the pit of her stomach. Please be OK, she repeated in her head. For Aideen, for Lorelai... for me. Her throat began to dry and it was hard to swallow. Heather's face was of complete sadness; not really remembering she was next to her friend and in a plane filled with other students. Heather sighed and traced her hand over Ian's picture, praying to the God she didn't believe in, to watch over him.

Veronika was a bit miffed that Onyx was forced to sit somewhere else. Poor thing, he is being forced to sit with the teachers like some kind of outcast. At least he's next to the Dazzler. Better her than anyone else. She calmly leaned back as the plane took off, and pretended to be very attentive when Beast was babbling on and on about the mission and all that. This wasn't something she hadn't heard or really want to know. Instead, Veronika spent her time looking at Onyx while she pretended to be listening carefully. We would look very good together. He looks like my ex. Ivan, but Ivan was not so tall and did not look very evil and dangerous like Onyx does. No matter though, boys are all the same. If you smile at them and wear flattering clothes while you look interested, they melt like chocolate in your hands. I know Onyx likes the way I look, these jeans never fail me. Thank god for Dazzler, I did not buy them until I saw the advertisement with her wearing them. They have certainly brought me luck... She snapped out of her thoughts when she was handed a stack of papers. Pretending she knew what they were for, Veronika began studying and looking through them. What is this? Ah yes I see they are information on the place those people went and... oh information on those who went there. Veronika looked through them and paused to actually look at the ones she cared about. Ah the Headmaster certainly is very very handsome. If I were older, perhaps he would like me. I cannot wait until I am eighteen. Four more years is really far too long. She looked at the pictures of the others, recognizing them from the lab. There that sorry looking girl that Dazzler had to catch. And that giant Lizard and albino girl. Then that sad little goth. Ah and the girl with a vomited smurf for hair. And that bitch that Onyx went crazy for.
With a slight scowl on her face, she studied the girl's picture. Aideen, what a unusual and rather odd name. It sounds like it should be the name for a condiment. Not very feminine I do not think. She is not that pretty either and she looks rather rude. She is rather plain. Boring brown hair and boring brown eyes. I am much better. I have perfectly styled hair and the same beautiful blue eyes like my mother. I have trainer who has me do all the right exercises to keep my lovely feminine curves. I have a much better body than she will ever have. That and I am petite. Men always like petite women so they can 'protect' them. No competition here at all. Veronika smiled with satisfaction before she looked at the other picture of that boy her new friend was in love with or whatever. He is very handsome. He and Heather look much better together than that girl with the disgusting blue hair. She will get him though, I know how to break up relationships easily.
Veronika plotted in her head as she pretended to be reading about Limbo. This was certainly going to be an interesting journey. And she was quite confident the outcomes would be in her favor.
