"Thank you Sean" D'mnchyld whispered back to him. She felt good in his arms, safe and it was like she had help to deal with all the weight of the world. Things got heavier though when Hardlight pulled his little stunt and drew down on the demon with a sword he'd sculpted, like some vicious light-saber, out of thin air.
Thankful for Cyclops' and Emma's words as well, she shrugged off the difficult situation and tried to figure out what to say next. With a nod to her teachers k'8 took a breath and said "I will punish you later for you tone demon, and you may NOT eat my - uh - my ..." She stalled not knowing what to call her friends and classmates, thinking if she claimed them as friends the demon might note something suspicious, so she quickly changed tact.
"MY companions are not your concern, maybe I keep them as pets but YOU are not to question nor comment, you are only to serve. Now-" she took a quick look at TuneUp as she squeezed him tighter drawing more strength from his presence and said "now, you will stand and lead us .... Home."

Lorelai had watched the demon curiously, only looking away to see the sweet little reunion between Miss Frost and Cyclops. It made her think of Ian - if he was here in Limbo she prayed he was alright, and she thought of how she wanted to see him. She reluctantly shook off the thought as she had to focus on the matter at hand to keep up with what was going on so the whole group of mutants could get the hell out of there. She looked back to the little demon servant, and her eyes widened slightly at what she heard him say.
Feeling a nervous twinge in her stomach, she looked to k’8 as he wished aloud to do away with them all. She couldn’t help but grimace as she hoped the demon spawner would do something to not let him do that, though she was surprised by the outburst of bravery and hostility that Hardlight then let out in light of it. Then, as k’8 finally spoke an order to the little demon thing, demanding them to take them home, Lorelai glanced around at everyone. She kept quiet as she thought for a quick moment, Home would be good. It would be such a relief to get back to school, but I have a feeling if this thing is going to lead us anywhere, I seriously doubt it’d be back to school. He might lead us somewhere else here, but I’m just specutlating. I just want to get out of here.

Cyclops took a step to close the distance between himself and Hardlight. Placing a hand on the boy's shoulder he said, "This place has a way of changing a person, son. I've seen it happen, you can be swept away in it all, the rage the frustration. I think you need to take a minute and just breathe."
Scott was highly concerned for the young fellow, he knew the boy was openly gay and had no concerns for that. It may have been his own ignorance or simple stereotyping, but Cyclops thought Hardlight might be too emotional for his own good. "We're going to get out of here, trust me."

Though her position remained calm and stoic, Aideen's eyes locked on the demon were all but kind. I will not have some pathetic rodent try and attack it's superiors. If D'mnchyld doesn't control that thing, I will step over the line to defend my superiors. The others in the now larger group didn't care for the demon's words, especially Hardlight. Aideen had grown a certain respect for the little guy. She had known him to be whiny and weak and he struck her as the needy type. She gave him credit though, he was really learning to hold his own and proved he had the potential to be a very strong fighter.
As the attention was focused on the demon, Aideen's sharp dark eyes took in her surroundings, watching as the demons in the chasm burned and scanned the cliffs and hill around them for any unwanted intruders. She was a good scout, as her training indicated. She would accompany her Uncle on some of his missions and she would go for the sole purpose to scout an area for him. She was lean and quick with a trained sharp eye and had the ability to move around an area silently and unseen. Aideen's eyes flew back to the scene in front of her, awaiting a sign to attack or an instruction from her Superiors, as her training dictated.

(Can I please go, I don't want to wait any more)
Kevin felt deep inside of him the bubbling of rage and he wanted to let it out he wanted to take that sword and hack his way into that damm demon and then turn and take a chunk out of that stupid Cyclops for leting his friend die. Guardian was a friend a good friend and even though they were only friends for a couple of days it was amazing how that big guy had touched Kevin's heart and now he layed there on the ground torn in half and the nasty creature who had killed him was frozzn in ice with his blood all mixed with the dirt and smeared on itself. "AAAaaaHHHhh!!!" He screamed out wanting to let out all his anger and start to kill and slice and hack at everything all at once.
"Trust you? Trust you! What do you mean trust you? You let my friend die, and you don't have any idea at all how to get us home or keep us safe, and you say 'Trust Me' !?!??" His face was twisted up and tears were running down his cheeks. "All I know is that I'm scared and I wont- I can't - i don't wanna let- let- - let anybody else - - - die?"
It all became clear at that moment, he was only a little boy, and he was very scared and he didn't want to hurt anybody, or see anybody hurt and he didn't know why he had made a sword. He didn't even know how to use a sword even though it looked really cool and fancy. "You're right about this place sir. I almost lost myself." he said and then he turned to Frostbite and handed the sword to her. "Please take this Loralei and keep yourself safe, I'll stick to frisbees and marbles. I'm sorry, sorry everybody." he hung hiis head down as he held the sword out for Frostbite to take.

Standing, the demon looked at his mistress. Not into her face for that would have been a case for beheading, but at her legs and torso. "As you command, but the way is well known to thee is it not?" 'Something is wrong with Mistress today coulds be...' he thought. Having never met the mistress in the flesh however he had not a real reason to doubt her, but it seemed to him that she would have been bigger, larger than life even. The truth was there in his knowing, her spirit was singing to him and there was no doubt in his mind that it was she who stood before him, the doubt was in his dark crusty heart. She just didn't behave quite as he'd been expecting. "Home then Mistress. Follow as it pleases you" he said. Never once even paying a note of attention to the girlish little boy with the pretty glowing stick. It was certainly beautiful, but his mistress's spirit outshone the blade. A dark purple light that opened a door to beyond. He bowed deeply again before turning and leading her away from the hills and the moat.

(Sorry Hardlight, I was waiting for NPC cause I didn't know what else I could add)
Hardlight's outburst surprised Sean, making him hold Kate closer to him. Hardlight's emotional state made the lovely sword of light look even more threatening, and Kate had been through enough. Looks like Cyclops and Ms. Emma and all of us are on the same page. This demon critter's got no chance, but he worships the ground Kate walks on. She's on our side so I think we're alright, he thought and looked over at Lorelai, who looked weak and battered. He felt bad for her, holding that sword must be difficult. Sean gave Kate a kiss on the forehead and whispered to her. "Looks like you got a big part in getting us outta here Katie girl. I'm gonna help Lorelai, but I'll be next to you if you like. Be as brave as I know you are, I'm here if you need me," Sean said quietly and squeezed her to his side once more before he let go.
He looked at the rifle in his hands and concentrated a bit. The rifle became a short chain which he tucked into his belt loops. Sean walked over to Lorelai and smiled kindly. "Need a ride little lady?" he asked as he picked her up gently in his arms. "Alright Lorelai, you be careful with that sword you hear? I'll swing you around and carry you piggyback style. You just watch that sword of yours." Sean shifted her so he held in the piggyback style. "Hold on Lorelai, I got you," he said as he waited for the group to get moving so he could follow and hopefully walk next to Kate.

Watching the display of incredible self awareness and control by Hardlight made her smile. "There is hope for us yet" she thought aloud as she walked over to fall in the procession next to Cyclops. The demon was leading them in the direction that seemed to be the least dangerous, but one never could tell the true motivation of a demon so Emma wanted to keep everyone on their guard.
"Alright let's all stay aware of our surroundings, we don't want any more delays for 'The Mistress'." She looked at Ember sending a thought to her to stay at the ready as Sean helped Frostbite and Kevin reconciled with his own heart.
Emma herself had work to do and as they walked along she let her consciousness seek the remaining members of the school who were not with them. It wasn't long before she made contact with the mind of Shadowkat. ~*Kitty....It's Emma, What is your situation?*~ she mentally spoke to her.

'Guess my powers are really recognized here. That's pretty sweet, I feel like some kinda movie star or a rock star or I dunno. That demon was bowing down to me, maybe it's more like I'm royalty to him or something' K'8 was thinking as she walked next to Sean and Frostbite.
'Hmm hope that girl doesn't get too comfortable with my Sean. It's good of him to help her though, she looks really bad. That sword must be heavy, at least it looks it and she might cut herself or TuneUp.' She pondered as she walked. Turning her head she spoke to Frostbite "Hey I'll carry that for you if you want, looks kinda heavy in your hands and if you slip then you might cut yourself or my - uh, or Sean." She hoped she hadn't blushed as she almost called Sean hers. "I wont drop it, don't worry." K'8 said.

Lorelai watched with semi wide eyes as Hardlight burst out again, only to offer her the sword he made when he calmed down. She looked kind of confused for a second as he held it up to her, only because she had no idea what she would do with it. I have no strength, and I can't afford to fight anymore. I don't know what I'm going to do with it, though I appreciate that he thought to give it to me, she thought as she hesitantly took it, feeling how surprisingly heavy it was. It was probably like the shell he had made, and so she let the sword lay in front of her. "Thanks..." she said, giving him a small smile.
As the demon servant acquiesced to lead them 'home', the ice bender looked to see it turn and start leading off to one direction. She was about to make herself get off and start walking even if it would bother her when Sean came up to her. She returned the smile and muttered her thanks as he picked her up, though she paid attention to where the sword swung as it came off of the ice block she had sat on. "Okay," she said, minding where the sword swung as he moved her so that he was giving her a piggyback ride. "I hope I'm not too heavy," she said quietly as she wrapped her arms and legs around him to hold on.
Turning her head to see D'mnchyld having come up to her side and offering to carry the sword, Lorelai smiled a little. "Thanks, it'd be a great help. It's a bit heavy, and it's swinging on its own, and I don't want to cut either of us," she said, straightening out the arm that held the sword so that k'8 could take it from her. Though it's so nice of Sean to carry me, I can't help but feel that much more useless. I should be walking along with the rest of them. But at least I won't be slowing them down, and we can get the hell outta here that much easier, she thought as she looked ahead to wherever they were going.

Feeling Emma's hand in his own Scott walked on as the blade of light was passed from one young woman to the next. It seemed to him as if Emma was not fully present and through their psychic rapport he spoke to her *Emma are you alright? I know you're probably searching for others. I'll let you know if, or more likely when, we need you here with us. How is it going?*
Cyclops was worried about a lot of things right now and he hoped this demon was not leading them into a trap. Looking to the boy Kevin he agreed with Emma's sentiments about hope after he had turned away from the very alluring temptation of the darkness of this realm. "I'm proud of you Hardlight, that took a lot of courage and inner strength. You'll feel better soon. Just know that you did the right thing."
Then calling forward to TuneUp, with Frostbite on his back and D'mnchyld walking beside him, he said loud enough for the demon to hear. "And TuneUp, when you get tired let us know we'll see if the Mistress will allow us a break."
He knew how dangerous this place could be. He wore the scars and wounds of first hand experience. Cyclops looked back to Ember who was serving as their rear guard, and had hung back slightly. He knew she knew what she was doing, of that there seemed to be no doubt now. "How we lookin back there Ember?" he called out asking.

Aideen hung back just like Emma instructed her to as the group began their journey. She treaded the ground lightly and calmly as they walked, her senses still heightened with the extra heat. The heat fueled the fire inside her, keeping her energy high and her body alive. On the outside, she looked like the rest of the group. No flames surrounded her, she was walking lightly and gracefully and no fire sparked in her eyes. That's the way Aideen intended to look like. In case it was time for another attack, the element of surprise would be her best weapon. Only problem was her skin was still much hotter than the temperature around them, but she didn't plan on having anyone come close enough to find out.
Looking around carefully with her dark chocolate eyes, Aideen looked back at Cyclops in the same emotionless battle stance and replied in her soft voice promptly with an, "All clear sir." She hung back as they walked, keeping an eye on the group and the area around them and ignored the sinking feeling in her stomach about what she may or may not see when they arrive at their destination.

It led them, the rag tag motley crew of mutants, winding and traveling through the heat of a never ending sunless day. The sky never bright, but never dark either. The smell of sulfur and fumes of burning flesh and burning excrement stirred on the wind. The wind- ah yes...the wind. Hot and dry it was, at least for the love of all things pleasant, it was a dry heat.
As they crested a ridge, there on the horizon, stood a structure. Not glistening, not beautiful, but a building it was. It was large- more a city than a single building. From their vantage point they could see down into the walled construct. It seemed to be a castle, a castle and keep. Much like the castles of Earth, but at the same time so very unlike them too.

Sean shifted Lorelai just a bit so she could get a better grip on her. A look of relief came over his face when Kate took the sword from Lorelai. It added a good deal to the weight and he was worried that he might stumble and end up losing an arm. "Thanks there Katie girl. You took a load off me there," he said to the goth girl with a soft smile. Sean bumped Lorelai up his back a bit and started walking with the group keeping close to Kate.
Lorelai was dead weight on his back, which let him know how worn out she was. Sean made sure to walk steady and not bump around too much. "How you doin' up there Lorelai?"he asked keeping a tight hold on her legs. Sean looked at Cyclops and nodded. "Sure thing sir. I worked on a farm my whole life, I'll be alright carrying her for a good while," he said with a smile as he walked carefully and fast enough to stay near Kate.
