Jax's arms landed on Ana's back and he began stroking her hair, his chin resting against the side of her face, his hand holding her tight against him. His jaw was clenched and he was fighting back the urge to turn around and hit something right now. He was a little too mad to speak just yet: the thought that it could have been Ana on that tape, in that outfit that they'd put on Liv and being groped the way Ember had been... it just drove him insane. He couldn't help but feel slightly relieved, his arm squeezing Ana into a tighter embrace.
That was his friend on the tape. Granted he hadn't known Liv too long, but he knew her enough to consider her a friend, and care for her. He was raging that it was his friend on that tape, but at the same time, he was torn, 'cause that could have been his girlfriend on there instead. He wouldn't have wanted either of those two on there, but he knew how much worse he woulda felt if that was Ana on there instead of Liv. That kid, or that hot X-men didn't exactly deserve being on there either. Whoever the hell that maniac on the tape was- he had some beef with Wolverine, and he'd taken a kid, his friend and an X-men to settle the score, and the thought of how vulgar that man was, was sending Jax's head spinnin' into rage.
"It ain't your fault Kitten," Jax said, speaking through his teeth and sighing deeply, knowing Ana was probably feeling what was often called the survivors guilt as she saw the little kid on that tape. "I'm just glad it wasn't you." He took a deep breath, trying to keep his voice as even as possible. He couldn't speak much right now: there was just too much going through his head. Jax was itching to just do something right now to get the three captured out, but at the same time, he wanted to just stay here with Ana. She was safe and in his arms, and he didn't know if he could let go of her even if he wanted to.

"DANTE!" Ricki spun around on the spot, her face completely and utterly bewildered as she stared straight at the Paragon her eyes filled with disbelief. "What- what the- what was that?!" she shrieked, for once actually sounding... angry. "Are you absolutely insane?! Take the money if you will, not that I'd ever understand why you would want to do that, but there was no need to paralyze him!" Ricki had just promised this boy that no one here would hurt him, and that he'd be perfectly safe while the Headmistress came here and sorted whatever she needed to out with him.
And Dante thought it was perfectly okay to go ahead and paralyze the kid? "He was terrified as it is! None of this was his fault! What is the matter with you? You don't just paralyze people for the hell of it!" Her hands flew to her head, pushing her hair back in frustration as she felt her eyes burning but didn't do anything to stop it this time. "He was innocent! You don't just go paralyze someone as terrified and defenseless as him! If you're going to try to attack someone, atleast don't pick on those who have it in them to fight back!" she shrieked, furious yet helpess tears flowing down her face as she turned down to kneel besides the limp body of the boy.
She honestly couldn't believe that Dante would act like some low playground bully. It was practically like Frostbite and Haven all over again, except this kid was in far worse state and Lorelai, had upto a certain extent, asked for what she got. This kid, didn't deserve it in the slightest. Ricki didn't care how mad Dante was: not that she could even begin to comprehend why he acted the way he did. As far as she was aware, he wasn't exactly close to either of the three on the tape- although, Liv was a Paragon. Perhaps it was just a case of 'having your team's back.' Even though the thought was admirable, the way he decided to show his concern for his team mate wasn't exactly.
He's a Paragon for a reason, she sighed as the thought dawned upon her, but in all honesty that was hardly a justification. Yes, the boy had perhaps been blinded by greed while he agreed to get the tape up to the mansion, but that didn't really give any of them the right to hurt him for simply being at the wrong time. Ricki'd initially liked Dante, despite his cold attitude and dangerous swagger, but for now, she felt nothing but frustration and anger towards the Paragon.

"Calm the %$#@ down Dolly, it was a damn accident," Dante growled, her protests and whining annoying him further as he tried to figure out a game plan. "If I wanted to hurt him, I woulda punched his face into the window, not given him an instant nap." It was actually true, though he wasn't going to tell her that he was mourning the whole thing. Little punk was a greedy little shit and he needed to learn next time that not everything is worth doing for money. When he was in an emotional state, especially when he was angry, it was much harder to control his power. That didn't mean he was planning on apologize for it.
Right then, the most important thing for Dante to do was to think with a clear head. He needed to get to his pain-in-the-ass hellcat, and he needed to do it quick. Though he'd never admit it or allow it to show, he had a sinking feeling at the pit of his stomach when it came to the time limit they had. Truth of the matter was, she was a cute little thing. Some pervert would see those big eyes and the innocent sweet little face and they'd pay top dollar to get the chance to break in the virgin schoolgirl. The mere thought had Dante gritting his teeth and clenching his fists. He'd kill them, and he wouldn't lose an ounce of sleep over it if it meant getting her back. The images of possible scenarios of what may happen to her served only to make him clench his fists and increase his breathing just slightly.
His boys in Chi-WEST had connections all over, including with the Vice Lords, MS-13, even the Almighty King and Queen Nation. The East Coast gangs were the ones that dealt with the human trafficking, that much he knew through the time he spent in prison. Hell he had Prison contacts he could get a hold of, and he'd do it all if he had to, which at those point it looked like it did. When it came to his girl though, he wasn't gonna hold up the bravado of claiming to be able to do it alone. Dante didn't have any of his usual heat on him, only his knives and chain, and he didn't have a car, though he could easily lift one. The biggest problem was that he didn't know the East Coast well at all, and that was a big, big, problem.
Taking a deep breath, Dante turned to Jax and kept his face even. "Let's go Preppy." He looked over at that spoiled rich dumbass for a minute, if only to let understanding flow that Liv and the little boy were neutral territory that didn't call for their shit. "She's a friend of yours ain't she? You wanna do something more than stand around like a bitch, then come on. Say goodbye to your girl, cause we ain't wasting any time." Dante turned on his heel not caring so much if Jax was gonna throw a bitch fit even with an offer on the table and walked out. There was a certain older gunslinger that he needed to have a word with.

Jax rolled his eyes, letting the sting intended in Mohawk's words pass. It seemed like that guy had a clue, and Jax was gonna do whatever it took to get Liv back. She was a friend, and at no cost was Jax gonna let her be sold as a sex slave. Oh hell no. "I... gotta do this, Kitten." Jax turned around, thinking of the only thing holding him back from following Dante right this minute. His eyes fell on Ana's baby blue's, her soft pink lips, her perfect peach complection. He sighed. He leaned down, placing a slow gentle kiss upon her lips, pulling himself away unwillingly, giving her a long desperate stare. "And no, you are not getting yourself involved."
Despite the emotional moment they were having, there was this tone of finality to his tone that was unmistakeable. He knew that whatever him and Dante were gonna go out to do, to help get Liv, the little kid and Ember back wasn't exactly gonna be a pony ride, and hell he did not want Ana getting involved in any way. At freaking all. So without another word, he followed Mohawk out the room, giving Joce a quick look. He would've liked to say something, but now didn't seem like the time. Plus, it wasn't like anything that he'd say to Joce would make a difference anyway- the girl would do what she wanted to at the end of the day. To be honest, so would Ana, but he'd deal with Ana when he needed to. He'd made up his mind- and he wasn't going to change it. It could've been Ana, instead of Liv or that little kid or Ember that those punks could've taken, and he was lucky as hell that it wasn't her. He wasn't going to risk anything happening to her.
He ignored the rest of the company, as he walked out, sprinting to catch up with Dante. "What're we doing?"

Upstairs, in the room she and Scott shared, Emma re-emerged from the light drowse of sleep with alarm. A call from a voice she seldom hear spoken aloud, let alone heard spoken in her mind. Having been awake earlier and come back to bed to snuggle and catch just a few more winks of sleep. The duties of Headmistress were often far more taxing than she let on and she did love her beauty sleep, yet she was ever mindful of her duty to each and every student and as such she'd found herself content to remain mostly dressed because the luxury of true rest and relaxation was something she had resigned herself to enjoy only after retirement. Sitting bolt upright she startled even herself at the speed of her reaction.
"Oh m'god Scott it's- it's Chester! Something must be terribly wrong! Get up- get dressed.. this is not an exercise!" The urgent tone of her voice told him of the need for speed and she threw off the fluffy down comforter as the morning air was shockingly cold. Something had to be horribly wrong for the stone-silent Stoney to be contacting her through the telepathic link she had established with each of her Hellions since an early age. All of them used it with ease and frequency when they needed her or wanted something she might be able to provide them, spoiled some might say.. and in truth she had spoiled them for they were her very own, and special children they were.. yet to his credit Chester 'Chesty' Williams was not like his brother's and sisters.
"Hurry Scott, HURRY- that boy never contacts me through the link so this is going to be bad. There's a group down in the rec-room and Logan has lost it.. that's all I got." She hopped up and slipped her boots on. Heading for the door she hit the hall leaving her boyfriend behind. Of the two of them Emma might be more lenient on Wolverine if he was about to do another something 'outside the realm of educational'.

"Talk about your rude awakenings." Scott muttered under his breath as, with his eyes pinched tightly shut, he heard Emma dart out of the room. He took one big breath and shivered slightly as he sat up and shifted into action mode. Slacks and a polo shirt didn't seem to fit the bill right then so grabbing his ruby lensed glasses he slipped into his uniform then swapped a combat visor for the shades and beat feat after Emma.
"Step it up Em," Scott said catching up with Emma in the hallway and grabbing her by the wrist pulled her along at best speed. They didn't take their time getting to the rec-room, nearly colliding with Glitch and RAM on their own way to somewhere-else in a helluva hurry as well. Settling into a slower run as they saw the two boys, the pair of X-Men hated to set a bad example but that would have to take a back seat to what was going on, and as soon as they passed them they broke into a sprint again.
Cutting a hard turn from the hallway into the Rec-Room Scott's hand reached up and found it's place on his combat visor. He was ready to hit Wolverine hard and send him out through a wall if he had to, but he was always in control... well, almost always. "What's going on ..h-e-r-e..?" The last bit of his question sounding quite softly inquisitive in contrast to the hard edge of the start of his question which sounded more of a command to cough up a situation report. The tears in the eyes and air of defeated confusion in the room made his 'sit.-rep.' demand a moot point as the situation was far from what he expected.
Dropping his hand he looked to the over-sized TV screen. The image of his star student, and recently promoted X-Man Ember chained to a chair with a look on her face he never would have imagined possible from her in any of his wildest dreams. "What is THAT!?! What IS going on here? We got Stoney's message about Wolverine and - who is that on the couch?" Cyclops was obviously full of questions, being accustomed to having plenty of information hadn't dulled his edge in a moment of split second decision, but he wanted all he could get right here and now because a jump to the wrong conclusion in one's home made living there near impossible.

The pounding of feet was followed by what sounded like muffled shouts from inside the mansion. Coffee's ears went erect and he sat up on his haunches, straining to hear more of what was disturbing his morning grazing on the lawn. He'd intentionally avoided the house after last night. He'd slept in the barn, and didn't plan to show himself until it was time to meet Rogue for his first day in the ill suited role as her assistant. But the commotion inside made him edge, ever hesitant toward the house, before throwing caution away and hopping into a small mirror he'd placed near the door so he could pop in and out of the house with ease if he had to run from the wolf child again, or from anything else. He emerged from a small mirror in a hallway and then followed the voices and smells of people to the rec room.
Big, was his first thought. There were a good number of people here. Angry. Sad. He saw the looks on their faces. He looked from one to the other and then to the large television set. The rabbit's heart sank in his chest at what he saw. Ember was one of the strongest people here, one even he didn't think he could take in a full on fight, and yet there she was tied to a chair. He could also make out Liv and one of the tiny Alphas. While he was faintly relieved that this didn't look like the work of Mojo, that passed in an instant. If it was Mojo he'd at least know where to look. Talk animal. he thought. May know. If whoever it was had Liv that little sparrow Cuil that followed her around all the time would probably have seen something. Perhaps Coffee could find him. Or he might not be needed. The X-Men could probably find these people without the bird's help, but it would be nice to have as much information as possible and Coffee wanted to help.
He gingerly hopped over a respectful distance from the headmistress and headmaster. Not too close, he hoped, to be intruding, but close enough to signal his presence. Despite what the headmaster might think, he cared for the people here and this had become his home.

"Thanks Doll, I know" he said to Jocelyn holding onto her soft tender hand in his own for a second longer than he might have if he hand't been open to emotions that he'd thought dead in him for so long now, "yea.. you know we will." He gave the kid a wink to let her know he was still as resolute as ever and turned to look at her phone and make his call.
"Yeah.. it's me listen .." he said as the other end picked up. Cyclops running his mouth behind him was not helping Logan focus, but he never bothered to pay that guy much attention anyway so it was no big deal "things've changed - drastically! This thing's turned into a kidnapping - They got my girl.. the one I told you about and two other kids. This is gonna go bad if we don't make some connections on some details quick... Yea two girls and a little boy-sex trade-auction's tonight... Maybe, probably online too- mentioned Arabians... sent me a message on video." He looked over his shoulder at the boy on the couch "..messenger's just a kid- says he don't know nuthin'."
"I don't know-they didn't say.. face was in shadow.. eh? Yeah, a Romanian with some partner, somebody who's got a personal beef with me- eye for an eye type, but the Romanian sounded all business.. had a boat. Said you and me - Oohhhh now I remember.. big ship three years ago that we hit, said this is paybacks.." *SniKT* the claws of his right hand popped out as he spoke int the phone he held to his ear in his left. It was almost an unconscious display of frustration then *SnaKT* he pulled them back.
"He's got my Angel Eyes! She's all doped up.. that freak was touchin her too... touchin my baby" he gritted his teeth up to the point where they just about cracked "..I KNOW he did it to mess me up and it's workin... CAUSE that damn Van Alstyne kid- HE told em, how else do ya think they knew.. it's not like me and her bein together was public knowledge.. hell it's on the video- the Romanian said his partner had a contact, contact was the go between with Creed- That was Rumble.. it HAD ta be."
He turned to look at the faces of the other X-Men and shook his head. The look on his face was one that told anyone thinking about giving him a lecture that he was in no mood to hear it. "If he was here I woulda DONE THAT but he ain't! ....I don't know! ... yea he was gone before I got back here this morning... a Ferrari, what else wouldja expect.. alright.. yeah.. Yea.. YES! I got it alright!?!! ..Soon as I can."

After awhile of waiting for Niki and she still hadn't gotten back, Ian had gone to the kitchen to check on her, only to find it empty. He was gonna go back to the cafeteria until he saw Cyclops and Emma rushing into the rec room. It was like instant for him to follow, since there always seemed to be trouble on the edge on erupting at the school. It was like second instinct for him to follow and offer to help immediately. That's why the last thing that Ian expected was rushing into the room to hear Wolverine on the phone saying the last thing he EVER expected to hear.
Standing in the doorway, he blinked while his mouth fell open in shock. Did he just say that... na I'm hearing shit. Really? "Uhh..." He was in total shock, so much that it didn't really register for him that the TV was paused to show an image of Aideen on screen cuffed to a chair. Wolverine and Aideen.... seriously? Naaaa.... Ian looked over at Niki and saw that she looked worried, but not at all surprised. "Whoa... Logan man, you're like... whoa. Aideen? That's who your talkin' about huh? You got Aideen?!" If his eyes got any wider they'd fall out of his head. He'd seen guys try and fail to get with the hot as hell fire babe with a colder demeanor than anything Iceman could conjure up, and in the end it was WOLVERINE who got her.
"You like.. whoa. I mean that's like... holy crappola man. Dude you're the MAN!" Ian was dumbfounded and in awe, and slowly the other part of the conversation started to register in his head. "Wait a minute, what happened to her? Kidnapped?" It was then that he got a good look at Aideen on screen and his eyes widened in horror as he looked over at Niki. "Whoa wait a minute, what the hell is going on?!"

"Hold on son," Scott said raising a hand to quiet Diesel. " He needs to account for something first." His head whipped around and stabbing an accusing finger through the air at Wolverine, the Headmaster of the school and Leader of the X-Men closed the distance to the hairy brutish man. The thought of him with the young woman he had himself hung so much hope upon and invested so much of his heart in turned a knife in his gut. She was a representation to Scott, of a better future for them all. She was a clean slate, respectful, Military minded, with an intellect and desire to learn. She was everything he ever wanted in a student, she was a protege' to mentor and more. He had entertained fantasies of her as a successor. He'd even gone so far as to hope she would do as he had done himself and take his mentor's dream to a higher level even as the world around them grew more resentful. The future needed a woman such as her. Mutant kind would need a leader. The school would need her, she would make a great Headmistress and he already had a Headmaster in mind. The harsh reality was that he and Emma wouldn't be there forever, much as they would have loved to. Yet now that future was broken, fractured on a fundamental level. Logan had a way of corrupting everything he touched. "Am I understanding this correctly? Did you just say what we all heard? What I have been afraid of happening all these years? Having someone as sick as you around these children Logan, is the WORST thing the professor ever endorsed!" At the word 'worst' Scott thumped his stabbing finger into Wolverine's chest and kept right on poking. "That girl was just a child!.. You!.. *stab* You're a hundred.. *stab* years.. *stab* old.. *stab* You sick, *stab* pedophile, *stab* son-of-a-"

That took balls. Dumb move yea- but balls.. like three of em. Niki thought as she watched Logan drop that big softy like a blue sack of potatoes. And why the hell not he's got a good reason to. Who the hell is that boyscout to judge him? But there's too much at stake for this! My friend..my friends.. no more of this shit. "Knock it off!" she screamed at them breaking the stunned moment in the room with the punctuation of her voice. "Shut the hell up you two assholes!! THIS is BIGGER than the both of you! It's OUR FRIENDS out there you dickheads!!!"
She didn't care what they did to her for what she said, she was right and she knew it. The thing was that Cyclops didn't know it and he was the one with the attitude as far as Niki was concerned. "There's too much at stake - LOOK!" With that she raised the remote and pointed it at the player. Backing the video up to the start with a push of one button she hit play and let the new comers see what the rest were still just starting to deal with in their hearts and minds as she made her way over to Ian in case he needed her. She wished she had him there with her when she saw it, so she knew he'd need her close.

"Cyclops!" Ricki stared absolutely horrified from Cyclops to Wolverine, not quite being able to figure out if her horror was due ot the fact that Wolverine had just admitted to having a relationship with Ember or because Cyclops had just called Wolverine a paedofile and been punched rather brutally for it. Ricki had noticed how protective Wolverine had been of Ember, but she'd always credited that to the fact that she was one of his favourite students, and pretty much always top of his class. "This isn't my place to sp-speak, but Niki is right. I'm sorry if I seem r-rude, but we have two students a-and an X-Men who have been kidnapped and now really isn't the time t-to be... to be arguing out personal problems!"
It was true. No matter what issues they had with one other, or whatever ethical issues were causing a rift between them at this moment in time, they really did need to put it aside and concentrate at the situation on hand. Ricki took a deep breath, the tears that had been previously running down her cheek were now almost gone, however she could still feel her eyes burning. "We also need to inform K-Karma and Nightcr-crawler." she said, her voice a lot more timid this time round as she tugged uncomfortably on her t-shirt, trying to imagine the look on Karma's face when she found out about Chopper. Shan was such a sweetheart, it ached Ricki even thinking about how the X-Men would feel when she found about the little one.
"If you'd like... I can go find them?" Ricki bit her lip uncertainly, for guidance. She knew Miss Frost could probably just inform them telepathically, but she felt it polite to inform them none the less. "And this boy... he... he bought the disc up to the castle." she added, turning to look at Miss Frost with a helpess look in her eyes.

Ricki's nonsensical prattling about castles was just enough to make Emma shoo her off with her hand. "Shh..Go then, but share this with no one but the teachers or you will cause a widespread panic," she said softly as the video had just begun playing. As on the floor behind Ricki she saw Scott sit up shaking his head to clear his vision Emma's gaze shifted and was then fixed to the screen for the duration. The agony of what they had been told of unfolded for the eyes of the uninitiated for the first time, even as it was revisited upon those that had already seen it, and each time it was viewed the impact was not at all lessened. Quite to the contrary it only served to salt the wound.
Emma took in every word. She rated it as one might critique a meal at a restaurant on one hand, having been so many times the one behind the shadow, and yet on the other she was also so invested in the lives of the children who were captive. So truly invested that her heart went out to them and all in the room who loved them, whose eyes showed their hearts breaking. She found herself filling up and becoming overwhelmed... with disgust.. with anger.. and an overpowering sense of dread.
She fought the urge to rush right down to the CEREBRA chamber and find them right then and there. She couldn't move but she couldn't help herself for already beginning the search of the surrounding community with her mind alone and spreading out from there. The talk on the phone conversation that Logan was having and the mention of the ship drew her search to the eastern seaboard, yet with all her considerable power she was having difficulty locating any of the three young mutants. She had to see the rest of it, frozen there with her own breaking heart she was unable to look away. It was dreadful but she would rush down to the sub-basement as soon as she could.
And the video played on.

Chester could take it no longer, this the most torturous thing he had ever endured. His best friend in the world, the small little Alpha named Chopper, who was so proud of his name that he swore he would never take a codename to replace it. Stoney feared he would now never get the chance to be so prideful and decline a codename, he couldn't bare the thoughts in his mind of the boy's life forfeit for some sick pleasures. The sorrow he felt and the helplessness was something he never had experienced before in his life. He had known sadness, but not like this ~ this was something that sapped his will and broke him at the very core of his being. Then there was the silent friend who was ever the polite companion. They would sit together in silence. Those were wonderful times, by the lake, in the laundry room, out under a tree. All of those moments flashed back and he realized how attached he had become to the newest X-Man in her short time with them at the school. She had become one of his favorite people a true friend who he could be himself around, who never judged him and never tried to get him to talk. Her respect for him was probably only outmatched by his respect for her, in the way she always held herself and how she handled his 'brother'.. the back stabbing Brock. Oh how she had been so disrespected. As the video ended and flicked itself into that endless replay cycle again he reached a hand down to help Cyclops to his feet. Still in his stone form for fear of what he would break down into if he reverted to flesh, he could not hold in his sorrow any longer. The unrelenting twisting in his stomach at Chopper and his bravery and the punishment it brought him. The sounds of his voice yelling and then moaning ..and the twitching. Oh Father in Heaven it's too much to take he needed to let it out. Feeling Cyclops hand in his he pulled him up into a hug, the tears in his eyes rolling down his stone face.

Ricki blinked, sort of taken aback at the edgyness that the Headmistress held. She wasn't exactly sunshine and daisies on any given day either, but Ricki was caught completely off guard at the edge that her voice and her posture held. But she didn't comment on it, instead she simply gave the boy one last look, before she walked past the Headmistress, her eyes fixed to the ground, however, she did look up to see Stoney pull Cyclops into a hug, an d she couldn't help but feel her insides smooth over a little bit at the exchange. It was moments like this that gave Ricki the hope and strength to carry on. She felt the smallest of smiles flicker on her lips, but she hung her head down once again, heading for the door, biting her lip nervously as she wondered where Nightcrawler and Karma would be at this given time, and who she ought to go to find first.
Ricki felt that it made more sense to inform Nightcrawler first, because he was more likely to be isolated right now in comparison to Shan who was mostly in the Library before the Alphas woke up, and the Library wasn't some place that Ricki expected to be empty at this time. There was usually someone or the other in there, this early in the day, finishing off last minute homework and what not. She'd take a shot at the Drama Classroom first, to see if Nightcrawler was there, and if not, she could always have a look in his Room... or the Observatory Tower where he often prayed in the mornings? Ricki could've easily asked the Headmistress for the whereabouts of the two teachers, but she didn't have the nerve to do so at this moment in time: not with Emma Frost being this edgy.
