Picking up a basketball and bouncing it a couple times, testing the bounce he walked onto the court. Looking around he grinned as he was alone and he began dribdling the ball. Then faster and faster he began to dribble. Tossing the ball between his legs and then faking a bouce left and then right. He was skilled for sure, but like most things he would never commit to something fully. He ran along the court towards the hoop and leaped, tossing the ball towards the rim. He noticed he was about a foot off mark and then with a flash of light he was up at the rim catching his own throw and then dunking it into the basket. Landing solidly and catching the ball as it bounced he began slowly dribbling it again. Enjoying the time to stretch and get some exercise he dribbled the ball all the way to the other side of the court and performed a lay up into the basket.

Torri had been wandering aimlessly through the building, exploring the different rooms by herself and commiting it to memory when she heard the faint sounds of banging. Following the noise she found herself at the basketball court, and at the source of the banging. Or, as it turned out to be bouncing.
She looked around for a second before, stepping insid a little, pressing herself against the wall and moving so she stood hidden in a darkened corner, watching with a small smile as Jumper dunked hoops and popped from place to place. If she was honest, she was extreamly jelous of him, being able to enjoy and experiment with his own power while she struggled with the basic foundations of hers.
She mistakenly gave a small sigh and hugged herself, tilting her head as she continued watching him, she had to admit, he was good. But to be safer, she forced her back further against wall, trying to stay unnoticed.

He was bouncing the ball from one end of the court to the other. Making passes to himself and blinking from one spot to another catching his own passes. And everytime he made a shot that was going to miss. He popped up and gave himself an assist and sunk the ball. As he took a long shot and the ball went towards the hoop. It actually missed and bounced to the ground. Jumper was nowhere to be seen. Until he spoke up and you realized he was standing next to you. Clearing his throat. " I should have made that one. But it seems taking those longer shots always get me. So what brings you out here today?"

Torri screamed in shock from the voice beside her and automatically dropped to the ground in fright. Covering her head with her hands. It took her a little while of taking deep breaths before she spoke, "Don't. Give. Me. A. Fright. Please." she said between breaths as she let herself sit down with her knees to her chest as she leaned against the wall.
She looked up a little and blushed, pointing toward the exit, "Um...i'm sorry, i heard you practicing, and you're really good, so i decided to watch. I'm sorry." she mumbled quietly, averting her eyes back down to the ground.

He chuckled a bit watchign her and smiled as he extended his hand to help her up. "Sorry I have a habit of doing that. Its just natural to me. You really are a nervous one." He waited to see if she would take his offered hand. "Thank you by the way. I have spent a lot of time practicing. Like I said at dinner. I dont sleep much. Have you ever played?"

Torri looked up a little, and realised she was still sitting. So thought it only common politeness that she take his hand to help her up. Once she was stood she released it and folded her arms back around herself. Lowering her head a little again. "Um....im not nervous. Well....not normally. Ok, maybe i am. But i can't help that." she mumbled quietly.
She laughed a little to herself and shook her head, "No Jumper, if you notice by the white skin, i hardly ever leave my room, let alone play basketball. Plus, thats a sociable game, and i'm not one to be around others." she said softly, her voice becoming a little sadder as she thought over her own words. "And you should sleep, it will improve your performance. Or at least, it should theoretically." she added quietly, blushing a little and keeping her head downward.

He listened and then in a blink he was gone again, only to reappear a moment later holding the basketball. " Your right, It is a social game, but rigth now noone else is here but us. And seein ghow you came into the court on yoru own. I think you should give it a try. You might be surprised and actually have a bit of fun. Its simple you take the ball and throw it into the hoop there." Offering the ball. he was being kinda nice, knowing he had pushed her a bit at dinner with the cute thing.

Looking around after he had vanished, then to see him back as she turned back she screamed again quietly. "Oh for goodness sake jumper!" she said, shaking her head a little. Looking up almost too quickly with her mouth open a little, Torri moved her hands to in front of her, shaking them quickly in time with her head, making her hair fly about wildly. "N-no, no. i'm alright, i wouldn't be any good." she said. "Although i thank you for the offer, but, someone as good as you? Im sorry, but i try not to purposely embarass myself." she said.

Shaking his head and looking to her. "Look around Shimmer, Noone is here. You cant embarass yourself if there is noone to do it in front of. As for me. I already know Im good so I wouldnt expect you to do things like me. So take the ball and make a shot. What will it hurt." He grinned and still offered the ball. His smile was infectious, and it shined with the confidence he had. It also seemed he would not give up on this either.

Torri sighed a little, and reluctantly took the basketball from him. Being quite a bit taller than average for a 13 year old, it should be a little easier on her than others, but still. She knew she would make a fool of herself. 2You just said jumper, no-one but us. Us being the impirative word, meaning i can embarass myself in front of you!" she said slowly, before she went toward the open area of the court. Taking a quick look back to him and blushing a little, she tried to throw the ball as she had seen him doing before. But as she suspected, it didn't work and it came flying back toward her.
Letting out another scream, she rushed out of the way and raised her hands up to her ears in childlike defense. "See! i told you! i am no good!" she said, a little depressed at Jumper, keeping her head low to the ground.

He was already there in front of her catchign the ball. Looking to her with a tilted head, "Shimmer, its just a basketball. It doesnt bite and it doesnt attack. Relax." Turning and bouncing it a bit. Letting her get herself together. "Now watch it is a lot easier then you think. You hold the ball up like this." He showed her how he was holding the ball. "Then you bend youur knees and give yourself a little spring in your legs. And then you lift and toss the ball lightly, letting it roll from your fingers. Besides, do yo uthink I was born being able to shoot a basketball? It took a lot of practice."

Torri shook her head a little and blushed. "I thought it was going to hit me...." she said softly, loking back at him feeling a small smile creep onto her face unwantedly. Watching him again, she tilted her head gently, trying to focus on watching the movement other than him as a whole, but he intregued her for some reason. "Well....you never know, i did actually think you were naturally talented. Just like i'm sure power is natural to you." she added, blushing a little more.

He smirked and nodded as he turned and offered the ball to her "Yea I know. I do make it look easy. And like I said. Its just a matter of letting yourself relax and explore your power. I think you may be trying to hard. And that will hold you back. Maybe sometime Ill show you a trick I picked up. But for now. Just shoot the ball." He stepped aside to give her room and let her shoot. He saw the smile and winked at her again.

Blushing readily again, Torri nodded her head and took the ball from him slowly. Moving back to where he had stood. She tried to mimic his position again and focused on what he had said, bending her knee's and aiming for the hoop she tried to throw the ball. But. Again. It bounced back, although it wasn't as forceful as before and she just hurried from it's path without screaming. "So....how long did you need to practise for?" she said with a small laugh, taking a backward glance at the hoop.

Reaching out and catching the ball he spun it around hi back and then held it out to her again. "Well I have been playing for years. But thats only because I was a boy and grew up playing in the neighborhood. I was taking shots at the basket before I could even reach the basket. So I had some time to play. And after a while it becomes natural. Kinda like our powers. Try long enough at simple things and work up. It becomes natural."
