Cooking Thanksgiving Dinner

[Torri]

Hearing the comment Haven spoke to Jumper, Torri dropped her head again. As hypocrtical as it was, she felt upset that Haven had said that about her. As much as she had protested to Jumper, and as angry as she had gotten from it, she felt very insulted and hurt by her words. But trying to keep herself from showing she said over to him as well, "See.....at least someone else agree's with me." she said quietly, keeping her head low.

[Fleet]

He looked to Haven with a raised brow and just grinned. he had stopped letting people get to him a lon gtime ago. "Ohhhh she has a bite. And likes to throw insults around. How about that. But you know what they say. You only try to hurt the ones you like or want." Winking at her as well. As he did indeed eat more. "But again I am just a stupid jock that doesnt know anything. So I guess if I said you were cute, that would mean Im blind and your ugly as well?" Tilting his head with a smile.

[Haven]

"No it'd mean somebody told you to try and flatter me and that you think I'd fall for some line like that, cause look at me I'm a freakin albino you dumb ass- you think it's funny to play with people?" Haven stood up for real this time and started to climb over the table at him. Her forcefield made it difficult for her, like oil on glass, but the effort wasn't wasted as she managed to scramble across to the other side knocking food everywhere.

She rushed at him ready to kick him right where it hurt, this insulting attitude coupled with what he'd done in the stable was too much for her to take

[Fleet]

He leaned back in the chair as he lunged and crawled across the table. Making a huge mess. As she striked out to kick him he was gone in a flash and standing behind her across the table again. "Fiesty one you are. I like that in a girl. When you get that force field thing under control, let me know. I may even let you get close to me." He grinned and winked as he leaned against the wall with his arms crossed over his chest. He was surprised the teachers hadnt jumped in yet.

[Torri]

Almost immediately, Torri stood up from her seat and tried to set the food which was running from their collective bowls and plate back into place. Biting down on her lip. "Please, I thought this was a celebratary time. If you must attack someone, and i dont suggest you do, let it be elsewhere!" she said rather loudly toward the two of them, looking at them both pleadingly.

[Emma Frost]

Emma hollered into the girl's mind *~ I just got done saying how nice it is to have you here and you go and make a fool of yourself !!! LOOK AT What you have DONE!!!~*

"You have some cleaning up to do young lady before you go to your room and you will be quick about it and say not one more word- we all know you don't apologize. That is because you don't think anyone likes you enough to accept your apology, and right now I would think you correct....now begin and do not make matters worse!" The White Queen could be brutal when she wanted to and right now it was taking every bit of self control to not lash out at this poor child. Life had been hard on her, but no less hard than it is on anyone else.

Haven would be punished, but she would take it up with the girls team leader later this evening over coffee.

[Emma Frost]

"Relax Shimmer, let Haven do that. She made the mess she will clean it, thank you though dear." Ms. Frost said to Torri. "Would anyone like dessert now?" She asked since the meal was fast approaching ruined, as Niki had tried to do several times during the course of the meal Emma had noted. It was not at all polite to read peoples minds, but the Headmistress was less than restricted to manners when it came to her kids here at the school.

[Torri]

Torri nodded a litle and slowly moved back from clearing up, lowering her head a little again and keeping her eyes averted from people again. Moving so that her hands were placed gently on her lap. She tried not to show her distress from the headmistress' speaking to Haven. She herself would have been quite happy to clear up herself, but, she was told not to.

[Haven]

Haven scoweled at Jumper, she would learn to do things with her forcefield to stop his fancy little flitting about, she vowed it now. Sending a sideways glare at the Headmistress she began to pick up the mess as good as she could, peeling back her forcefield with urgency and not having any problem with it at all. Using the napkins and folding up the tablecloth as she set the dishes on the table directly she worked her way around the table. The rawness of her emotions gave her control over the forcefield the likes of which she had never known before.

Finishing she gathered up the mess and walked out dropping the bundle in the sink as she passed it on her way to the girl's dorm.

[Fleet]

Popping back into his seat as if nothign happened once again he spoke up. "Dessert? Ofcourse! What do we have good ? As long as its sweet Im in!" Rubbing his hands together. He winked at Haven as she left and then turned to Shimmer. "Well that was exciting now wasnt it."

[Shadowkat]

"Well, now I'm thankful that's over, lets have some pumpkin pie?" Kitty tried to lighten the mood as she got up to bring a couple of pies over to the table. One was pumpkin the other was a lovely apple pie with the slits in the crust.

"Who want's coffee, or ice cream?" she asked with a smile.

[Torri]

Torri looked up a little at the mention of desert, leaning her head up to look at the apple pie with a smile on her lips, before catching herself and sitting back down. cursing herself. She raised her eyebrow at Jumper and slowly shook her head and closed her eyes. It wasn't funny to be right there but she only admitted to herself that she had found amusement from it.

[Colossus]

Finally speaking up and looking to Emma he shook his head. "It is always hard the first couple weeks getting used to being around new people. I will try and talk to her later after she settles down." He looked over to Kitty and smiled wide. "I would love some of the pumpkin pie."

[Nightcrawler]

Leaning over to his charge Nightcrawler whispered "young man, you should not antagonize these girls. One day they might have to save your life, it is far better to be friends with them" he winked at Jumper and added "I know you have 'the urges' and want to make them excited, but try und control yourself- yah?"

He sat back and offered his services "I will get the coffee."

[Fleet]

He laughed and nodded trying to sound smug, but he knew Nightcrawler was right. "Yea I knwo, but it was so easy. And she was flinging the insults first. Besides." he leaned in and whispered. "Did you see what happened when she cleaned up? She didnt have any trouble with her power." Nods and grins to himself.
