Aideen jumped in shock as he growled and charged up the tree. She heard the tree snap and went into panic mode. Now her normal mind left and was replaced by a one track mind for survival only. As the tree fell she twisted through the branches, desperately trying to get free. She was done for when if he got her. With a last burst of effort, Aideen got herself free and leaped up from the tree onto the branches of a massive oak. tree. Her feet dangled below her as she pulled herself up the thick branch. She was cold... so cold. But her survival mode was kicking in and her body warmed up. Despite all the pain from her recent injuries in the danger room, Aideen pushed herself. She began leaping rapidly from one branch to the next, moving from tree to tree. She couldn't let herself be caught. Not due to pain or anything else. Aideen put her highly advanced gymnastic skills to use as she kept her balance and poise from each jump she took. She needed to keep moving. She needed to figure out what to do next.
With her concentration gone, the flame extinguished and tree was only at a comfortable warmth. Aideen was too busy to do this now. She kept her watch on the Tigerman as she felt his cold predatory eyes on her. She needed to survive this. She must not forget the face of her father and pull through as she was trained to.

Allowing her eyes to focus and look at what was occuring Haven saw Sabretooth charge the tree and shove it over. High in the tree as it fell over she caught a glimpse of his newfound plaything.
'Dark haired girl, athletic build..who is ...?...look at her move- Croutching Tiger, hidden ...Ember..?!?' she thought '...is it?...it must be..'

'Gotta get his attention- don't care if I lose the element of surprise' he thought, knowing he and Kurt's young student were surely outnumbered but only caring that she be able to get away safely. He let his ferocity boil up and his feral blood stir a grumble deep in his chest that he held until it burts forth as an explosive growling howl. [shadow=gold,left,300][shadow=red,left,300]"..sSAAYBBUUURRTOOOOOTHhh.."[/shadow][/shadow] He was leaping through the air as his claws popped forth, gleaming in the sunlight- [shadow=navy,left,300]* S N I K T *[/shadow]

Sabretooth's head whipped to the left... "There's our fellow!" he managed a quip before the fray was joined and the two of them would yet again find themselves locked in a seemingly endless battle.. ((sans costumes of course))

Aideen heard a loud ferocious growl call the Tigerman. Sabretooth! She had heard about him! Her uncle even talked about him sometimes whenever he mentioned mutants with one of the men from one of his organizations that he was apart of. She knew now what danger she was really facing. But when Aideen looked up and saw the gleaming claws in the sunlight and the rugged face that belonged to none other than Logan. How he found her she'll never know, but she would never be able to thank him enough. She stopped on a high branch and watched as Sabretooth turned and a showdown between the two powerful mutants.
Aideen moved cautiously to the tree closest to Haven. She looked more conscious now and Aideen needed to figure out how to get her out of there. She also didn't want to leave Logan alone though she knew he could take care of herself. The strong sense of loyalty she felt toward the big rough man was powerful. She sat in the branch analyzing her options.

The growl had given away his intent and Sabretooth had had enough time to react. Turning and even trying to insult Wolverine with some stupid humorless statement. Wolverine never mixed business with pleasure.
He was invested in one goal right now and that was to draw the full force of Sabertooth and his fellow Brotherhood members and keep their attention so that Ember could get away.
"Run kid! Get back to the school! You don't know -ooof" he was barking commands to her as he and Sabertooth knuckled up and hacked and clawed each other. Until the lucky blonde bastard got a knee strike past his guard and took his wind from him for a second.

"BAAaahhh- Ha Ha Ha! No! YOU don't know- runt..."Sabertooth laughed as he knew he'd gotten the upper hand. Snatching Wolverine by his wrists and holding the dreaded Adamantium laced claws away from him as he swung the X-Men member around and tossed him into a large treetrunk.
The brittle wood, weakened by the cold and frozen state of winter snapped with the force, and pinned Logan under it. Spinning to face the sound of Ember he snarled at her for a moment, eyes flashing blood red, before returning his attention to his nemesis.

Aideen heard Logan yell at her and felt a pain in her when she saw Sabretooth hurtle him through the air. She was torn. She couldn't leave Haven behind she was too hurt to survive on her own. And though she knew Wolverine was more than capable of handling himself, the warrior in her refused to leave him behind. Whether she would admit it or not, he meant something to her, almost a friend she would call him. As much as she wanted to listen to him, this guy was pissing her off. Calling Wolverine runt and then threatening her all those times. That did not sit well with her. She knew what she had in mind was stupid. But she couldn't leave. Aideen didn't have it in her to run away from something like this and leave only one man behind. She wasn't raised that way.
Aideen watched in anger as Sabretooth and Wolverine fought viciously. Stood in a calm stance in the high tree branch, a hint of a fire glowing from her liquid dark eyes. She locked her eyes on Sabretooth, the man that caused so much damage in his life, the man that threatened her life and her body, and the man that hurt one fellow student and threatened to hurt the man she respected very much. In the back of her mind she knew that Wolverine would have her ass for this later. Aideen moved to another tree, hidden completely from view of the two fighting rivals. As she glared at Sabretooth's head, it erupted in hot flames that devoured his head. At least she was hidden well enough from view. All she needed to do was try and not let him put out the fire like she did with Dylan when she realized her gift.
Yea Logan would not be thrilled with her later.

"Arrrggghhh!!" he howled as his head burst into flame. Instinctively he reached up swatting the flames with his wet hands, wet as they were with Wolverine's blood, and extinguished the inferno. He spun and dove away trying to seek cover behind the fallen tree covering Wolverine. He would kill her soon 'She's next, right after I tear out the runt's heart' he thought 'That'll put a quick end to his healing factor.'

Aideen wasn't discouraged by him extinguishing the fire. She sat perched on the high branch of the mighty Oak tree and glared at Sabretooth with her fire filled eyes. She couldn't let him get Wolverine. She knew where he was and followed his movement, waiting for him to get within good view. He couldn't hide behind trees forever and she could always move. Wolverine just had to pull through.
Aideen didn't know what would happen with this and if she would end up dead, but at least it would be with honor. She looked down at Haven, wishing she could get to her. But now she could keep Sabretooth momentarily distracted for Wolverine to get the advantage if she just kept sending those bursts of fire.

Haven looked up at Ember. The blood and gore of her smashed and beaten face was overwhelming, but the look in her eyes was one of desperation-pleading for help.
Raising an arm toward Ember, her jaw quivering, she looked to be going into shock. Then her eyes glazed over and her arm went limp.

Grunting, Logan tried to un-wedge himself from beneath the fallen tree. His forearms were pinned beneath him and the weight of the tree on top of him was making breathing a difficult proposition.
Twisting and digging into the snow underneath him he managed to free an arm, and that was all it took. With a quick swipe he hacked a large section of tree away from overtop of him and began to climb out from underneath of it.

This was not going good. Aideen was angry that one guy was the reason for all this crap. Wolverine was buried under a tree and Haven just went completely limp on her. Lighting Sabretooth on fire for a while could only distract him for so long. Hope burst in her a bit when she saw Wolverine’s arm burst out of the tree and begin hacking it away. She needed to get to Haven though. Some of those deep gashes she saw on her needed to be cauterized or she could bleed to death. But how could she do this? Sabretooth was behind the tree trunk still and she had enough body heat in her to send flames his way if need be. Fur, wet or not was still extremely flammable because of its terribly fine texture. But Aideen was a soldier. By any means necessary she needed to get a comrade out of danger even if it meant some sacrifices.
That’s when she came to her decision. Aideen leapt from the high branch and made her way down. She kept a small, but hot fireball ready in her hand just in case. Sabretooth and Wolverine were a good deal away from her tree but she knew that Sabretooth was fast, which meant she needed to work fast. She prayed silently with the image of her father’s eyes in mind that Wolverine would distract Sabretooth long enough. Finally, Aideen jumped down from the branch and ran over to Haven. She scooped her up in her arms and with a last burst of effort she ran with the girl in her arms. If she got Haven to the school, she would come back. That is if she didn’t pass out before then. The cold was really getting to her. But now was no time to think about that.
If Sabretooth got her though she had little chance of escape. And she knew it well.

Wolverine heard her climbing down and struggled to get free he knew Sabertooth was close. Seeing Ember rush for the girl he knew she would be little more than a morsel for Sabertooth to pick his teeth with if he caught her, so he did what he knew he had to.
Raising his head to show Sabertooth where he was escaping from and presenting him with a nearby target of opportunity was the only thing he could do to prevent Ember's untimely demise. It was a quick fix for the situation, but it wouldn't keep her safe- not hardly.

Seeing the top of Logan's head pop up and noting the girl escaping the tree he made his choice and opted for the thrill of the kill. He reached over top of the fallen and hacked apart tree to grab the hair of Wolverine's head with one hand and wrap his talon like fingers around the little man's throat with the other.
"Ahh this will be sweet- I'm gonna bathe in your sticky dark blood, runt...You must have a soft spot for her- givin up your life like this so's she can escape." Sabretooth snarled as he sunk his fingertips into the fleshy meat of Logan's sinewy neck.
