Shimmer looked up from her place on the floor, seeing her friend Aqua looking pretty beat she stood, going to make her way over. Her unfortunate consequence of not properly harnessing her power meaning she had been unable to regain her usual look left her mind for a while as she walked over to her, placing a hand on her shoulder and speaking in her quiet fashion. "Aqua, are you alright, do you need me to get something for you?" she asked, feeling a little uncomfortable in her state of thinking she was visible.`

Making his way around the room Beast, Dr. Hank McCoy, administered to each person quickly and tried his best to lighten everyone's spirits. His humor was often times wasted because he spoke so technically and clinically, but a tousling of hair here and there let the children know when it might be a good time to laugh at his "jokes".
After some long minutes passed he looked up as The White Queen entered bearing the pages of readouts from their training session.

Heather grabbed Torri's arm, forgetting that she was invisible. She calmed down and laughed nervously. "Oh God Tor," she said between giggles. "You scared the crap out of me." She let go of her arm and rubbed it thankfully. "Yeah I'm fine, thanks." She was going to ask for water, but decided against it. She didn't feel like making her friend "fetch" her anything. It was one of her pet peeves. However she didn't mind getting things for others. It was in a way hypocritical, but not in a bad way. She smiled and decided to get up and get the water for herself.
She began to sit up slowly, licking her dry lips again. She was beginning to feel dehydrated and needed water badly.
She thanked Beast for tending to her cut on her head as he made his round in the room.

Emma came into the room with a flourish of the printed readouts she carried, announcing her presence with the sound of the paperwork. As she passed Colossus in the doorway she spoke to him softly and waved Frostbite over to introduce her.
"Colossus, this is Frostbite she was your newest team member until moments ago...so I've assigned her, as well as a young man who will be arriving soon- codenamed Diesel, to your Acolytes. Please make sure they're attended to, I will not put up with another lackluster progress report on you and your team." She turned to walk off and spun on her heels shaking a finger at him she said "I've scheduled your team for another training session in the Danger Room next week, since there's hardy a blip on any of this information here with regards to you and Shimmer- you need to step it up Mr. Rasputin, Charles Xavier is no longer here to hold your hand through all of this and these kids need you to be accessable....make it happen!" She turned and walked up to Cyclops handing him the papers.
The two of them spoke silently for a moment or two as everyone looked on. Neither one seemed to dominate over the other, in fact they seemed to have something unspoken passing between them. Emma turned and spoke to the whole room.
"Children, Teachers....Very well done. If you feel that was difficult you are correct- I had Beast run you through that at a higher setting than we have run any untried and untested group before! Please try and understand the reasoning is for your own benefit, and also because the requirements of the new software necessitate higher training levels. That is now the low end setting, so don't think it gets any easier- it wont. I'm going to leave Cyclops in charge of you all for a while, if anyone doesn't know yet he is your Headmaster and bears the same degree of responsibility as I do as your Headmistress. Therefore you will treat him with the respect and courtesy he deserves....Scott?" She stepped aside and let him take over. Slipping out of the Med-Lab she went to see to some business.

Aideen winced slightly as Beast checked her over, still not sure about the extent of her damage. She was comforted though by Nightcrawler's presence. She listened as Ms. Frost spoke quietly and politely like she always did. When she left Aideen turned to Cyclops and waited for him to speak. She was a bit wary of him still but had nothing against him.

Heather stayed on her bed as Ms. Frost came in. Their last encounter revealed the possible "cold" side of her headmistress and wasn't looking forward to it. She listened carefully as Ms. Frost spoke and then waited for Cyclops' turn.

"Thanks Emma." He said with a nod of his head as he watched her depart. "Alright let's have a look here..." He flipped through the printouts and as he did so he said "...I'm going to keep this short and sweet, and try not to harp on to many items. The one thing I must say and will say repeatedly I'm sure is teamwork. Now you were all assigned teams and team leaders, Ripple was one of the few students I witnessed actually helping out her teammates on more than one occasion. Out in the field, in the real world, it will come down to that everytime and in that room you have to practice it....remember just like any professional sports team, or military team- you have to practice how you will play." Flipping to a multi-colored bar graph he paused.
"Hmmm, so lets see- we had several 'danger-close' safety activations, Ember...." His visor looked right into the young firestarter "...let's try and maintain some control and presence of mind about where your allies are and how your ability can hurt them." He turned to look at Heather.
"Aqua!" his visor looked down on the graph as his finger ran down the paper "Well done, you managed to utilize your power for the longest duration- must have been difficult to hold a ball of water nearby through the heat and wind of the Sahara Desert...impressive. Your teamate Clutch....ah yes, Clutch very nice!"
He looked at the group and said "Clutch managed to use her power 'in the negative' for the very first time... I would Imagine?" He looked over at Clutch "What that means children is that instead of using her powers as they normally and naturally come to her she exerted her will and dominance over her ability to use it in the opposite way, not as easy to push as it is to pull- huh? It should get easier with practice, don't worry!"
"Now where is Shimmer? Actually I see Shimmer's power usage one time here and then a long trailing barely discernable usage throughout...." He looked around the room "Is Shimmer here?" he asked.

Aideen listened to his report silently with an expressionless face. She didn't think that she was that reckless and at least she did something and not sat around and fainted and whined with every burst of effort. At this point she was too tired and worn out to say anything. Aideen would never make a rude comment to the high official and instead sat there refusing to let her annoyance show. She just wanted to get to shower and then to bed. Perhaps later she could go into the garage or on a run to vent her annoyance.

Heather smiled with pride when Cyclops reported her stats. She was happy that she was able to help as much as she did and achieve so much when it was the first time she was able to control her powers. She listened to the rest of the report and giggled when Cyclops asked for Torri. "Well, last I felt her was right next to me..." she trailed off, hoping Torri would give up her whereabouts.

Shimmer winced a little, speaking up to the headmaster. "I'm here sir....." she said, trailing off. She could make herself seen very well so she reached around for an empty glass from Aqua and held it up, it being the only visible thing about her. "I.....i'm right here...." she said again, a little quieter, feeling extremely shy and on show, despite being unseen.

"Well, regardless...Shimmer I don't really have much on you here. Colossus will have to work on some things with you it seems." He looked down again "Moving on- Jumper!" His visor rose to stare at the young man, the only male student in the room.
"Lots of unusual readings, when you are feeling better and Beast gives you a clean bill of helath we're going to investigate your powers a bit more. What I did notice is you have a lack of focus and you don't seem to like to follow orders. That will undoubtedly get you killed and that would be bad enough, but without fail it will get others killed as well. Nightcrawler will have to work harder with you on that." He looked hard at Kurt and his stance sent the message that Nightcrawler was to be held responsible, and accountable should Jumper not improve.
Flipping and folding the papers around he said "Lets tally this up... okay highest power emission- Ember, obviously..." The teachers, starting with Nightcrawler, began to clap. "...Nice...least injured participant- Shimmer, way to keep your head down girl..." more clapping. "....longest duration of power use- Aqua..." At this Cyclops saw Kitty give the girl a grin and a thumbs up while more clapping ensued. "....most innovative participant- oh, a tie with Ember and Clutch...good job girls..." more applause. "...best team player- Ripple, excellent job..." Nightcrawler clapped loudly at this. "...most distance traveled- Jumper..." clapping continued "..and finally for the positives- our winner...Ripple..." he let the applause cary on for a moment or two...

Heather was surprised how harsh and foward Cyclops was with the teachers. Was it really their fault that Jumper couldn't listen, or Torri couldn't think of an easy way to contribute to the mission? Heather shook her head and just let it be. Ms. Frost and Cyclops were obviously Headmaster and mistress for good reasons and she needed to have some faith toward both of them.
As Cyclops read out the names and what they did best during the mission, she clapped happily for everyone including herself. She smiled and returned the "thumbs up" guesture to Shadowkat. She was happy she made her leader content. Heather was content that the whole thing was over...for today. She couldn't wait for them to be excused and head straight to a shower. She, along with everyone else needed to rest as much as possible.

Shimmer lowered her head a little at the headmasters remark. Only seeming to make her feel worse in her shoes. It wasn't to help her situation that it felt like she would never be visible again unless she wished it, and right now, she wished for the direct opposite. "Yes sir...." she whispered mournfully, letting herself slide to the floor again she let go of the cup, letting it tip sideways on the ground. She would need to work very hard at her power, not only had she failed to be progressive in the test and had hidden throughout, she had disapointed both herself AND the headmaster.
Letting her feet slide down to the ground with a small thump, Torri folded her arms tightly across her chest, hating the feelings of guilt and disapointed others fill her. Knowing herself that she would need to have something be done about herself in that matter she sighed again, this time more quiet, more unnoticable. She wanted to hide, she wanted to go home....but for her....this was unfortunately to be her home.

Aideen clapped politely still keeping her face expressionless. She felt that they were a bit lenient with their criticism but kept silent, for it was not her place. She was glad that Ripple got the highest though, for she was her team member and Aideen knew she deserved it. She was afterall the one who pulled the switch. Her ribs ached, she was tired of being around most of the people in this room. Half of them annoyed her and the few that she didn't mind she wasn't comfortable with, other than Nightcrawler. She felt a strange feeling of peace around him. Aideen leaned her head against the cool wall with an expressionless face not giving away her annoyed and ill feelings. She felt lie she was in kindergarten where everyone must get a praise, whether they deserved it or not.
She was done for now. Too many people gave her a headache, particularly since she was not fond of many of them. Aideen could use some time away without so many around her and some rest. After rest she wanted nothing more than to either go on a run or find a punching bag somewhere in this giant school that she could vent her feelings of annoyance on. Perhaps she could work on her bike a bit more and maybe even ride it. Of course in order to that she would have to keep her mouth shut and refrain from adding a not so nice comment.

Lorelai, following Emma into the infirmary, heard her little introduction and slightly waved at the one who was referred to as Colossus, and glanced back at her as she slightly reprimanded him. She stepped further into the infirmary and looked at all the teenage mutants who looked all so very exhausted. Her ears perked up at the mention of training and her eyes moved in the direction of the headmistress, but her head stayed faced toward the others.
Training. She decided she wanted to do it; it would be useful in honing her skills and gain her control. Though she could see its obvious repercussions, she almost looked forward to training. She also stopped her thoughts for a second. She wasn't the newest student anymore? That was good, and it sounded even cooler that the new guy was put in her team. She wondered if they would get along, but she wondered if she and any of the mutants here would get along. She inwardly shrugged as she walked off to the side to stand against the wall, out of the way of people.
