Chester was completely pissed off at Shade. It took a lot to rattle Chester's cage, even more to make the stone giant mad, but even more than that to piss him off, and that was where he was right now. Those little girls didn't mean any harm and old Shade thought he would be the big scary ghost, the dark corrupter as usual hating on everyone and everything that he felt he could get away with. There was something evil in that kid Chester knew, he had been his room mate for years and they pretty much gave each other wide berth but this was the last straw. Tonight when he slept Stoney would give him a scare, he just had to figure out how, it was like the kid never slept.
He rose from the table as commanded and set about following Calorie and Colossus out to the foyer. He wished he could make things better for the two little girls, but right now he had other things he had to take care of. He would spend some time tomorrow with them, he would ask Karma if he could let them bake some cookies with him, he liked to bake cookies and he was good at it too. If the hero thing didn't work out he would love to just bake cookies with little kids for a living. He wondered if that was really a job, he wished it was.

Rogue watched as the remaining Hellions started to head towards the Danger Room, and Colossus along with Calorie and Stoney, head out to the foyer. Darn kids thinking they can rule the place. They might be Emma's, howeva Ah think they need to learn a bit more about respect; scarin' the little youngins like that, she growled in her head. She crossed her arms, showing her authority to the older kids, and planned to give them quite a work out for the day. Seeing Jumper come over to her, Rogue gave him her attention and sighed in her head. It bothered her that for some reason he believed she had an ill opinion of him. If anything she noticed he was a bit odd. However he was her student and only expected him to be a good one.
"Kyle Ah don't understand what you mean. You are a bright young boy who is definitely dealing with similar troubles that everyone else is dealing with. Ah have no bad opinion of you. You are ma student and team member; and if at any time Ah believe you are not acting up to par, Ah will notify you," she said calmly and warmly. "Howeva when it comes to the Danger Room, Ah cannot allow you to join us. Ah do not yet know the extent of your abilities and the Hellions are at a much higher level in training than you. Fer now, you need to rest fer the night. We've all had a rough day." She placed her hands on Kyle's shoulders and held him firmly, making sure he understood there was no discussion however she was 100 percent sincere.

Karma had been very anxiously watching as her two girls went over to the Hellions table, worry being very prominant in her mind, although she trusted Stoney not to let anything bad happen to them. Truthfully that boy was a great help to her when she was finding it a task to keep her students entertained, and she knew this year he would enjoy time with her girls, anyone with a heart couldn't help but love them. She would need to make sure she knew his free time between studies so she could be sure when he was available.
Her head quickly turned to the jet as it lifted out from under the basketball court. She was pleased that Hank had decided to take who he had, although the red haired student seemed too new to be taken on such a dangerous mission. Hopefully the poor girl wouldn't be made to do too much on the trip, too much pressure so early on into her student life may put the porr thing in a bad mind set against it. Still, she drew herself back to watching her young girls with a smile.
She had to prevent herself from laughing as she took in the image of the three hellions laughing with her young girls, Inflict especially, holding onto lily in a very gentle and sweet gesture. That little girl would have to be careful with that power of hers, but right now Xi'an was pleased that she was able to enduce happiness on others, or there would be a very different sort of reception for them. Sadly though, it came to an end with Shade. Sighing gently, Karma stood from her seat and started walking around to greet her approaching students with open arms. Wrapping an arm around each of them and frowning at the culprit for the lack of joy now in the minds of her girls.
"Come now Lily, Jenny. Lets go sit down again, we left Shimmer on her own at the table didn't we?" she said calmly, trying to move so that the three of them would sit back down at their table. "And for being brave enough to go and talk to the big kids, i think we should eat some more cup cakes, don't you? And maybe later we can bake some cookies too. Jenny knows how yummy they can be, don't you?" she added as she settled herself down and plopped a couple of cakes onto the table for them. It would be a dark day when Karma let her students be hurt too badly by some kids who thought they were so high and mighty. And she refused to make that today.

So many things were going on at one time in the room, the arguments and comotion at the older student table, the orders from the giant european sounding man, the younger kids going from high to low in their excitement, a big jet literally coming out through the floor of a court outside and the other teachers getting wound up by the older kids. All happening at once, all supposedly meant to be taken in together and understood. Back in England, Kris was lucky if he was able to pay attention to half a lesson without staring at a guy or out a window at the trees. Right now, he struggled with both. The giant european guy looked extremely good looking and was probably very finely toned too.
That and the large expanse of forest outside was making Kris yearn to be out there, to feel the power of nature around him, to experience the never changing joy that came with the feeling of new plants, new life growing from nothing after winter. It was always good to feel the newly awoken buds of leaves, flowers and even grass rise from their slumber under the heavy blankets of snow.
Snapping from his slight daydream, Kris turned to his new friends and whispered in a low voice, trying not to be heard. "Seriously, what do we do now? I don't know anyone else here and it looks like everyone knows who to go to. I really dont get it, Cutie? Gorgeous? Got any idea?" he asked, his eyes showing his complete confusion to this situation. Not a day of being a proper mutant student and he was struggling to keep up with the others. Not good.

Torri felt a sigh pass through her lips as she looked around the room shyly. She was alone again, yet everyone seemed to have at least one person to be with. Even Jenny and Lily had their carer to go to after having been spooked by that ... ghost ... shadow ... thing over my the older kids table. She didn't look too long, as the image had frightened her too and she had sat ridged in her seat. The departing of her team leader and the two largest students from the room made it seem oddly empty as well, and it was a little unnverving to say the least. 'Oh god. What a mess this is, this whole day has just been a mess. Can't class it as one of my worst days, well, in a way i could, but at least nothing has happened to me specifically. Thats something at least.' she thought quietly to herself as she looked around the room again, seeing the darkened sky outside the windows and involuntarily yawning.
It was getting late. And Shimmer was more than willing to go and just sleep her troubles away, hopefully not ending with a nightmare although ... knowing that those older students were in the building held a high risk of night terrors. Torri waited until she saw Karma sit back down with the girls again before she said anything, knowing she probably wouldn't be allowed to just leave. "Miss Karma, im going to my room, i need to sleep." she said quietly, hanging her head a little and bringing a hand up to the back of her neck. "I'm tired." she added in a quieter voice as she raised herself from her seat and stepped away from the table. Grabbing onto one arm with the other, Torri started walking out toward the foyer, hoping to pass the three men with little trouble and get to her bed soon.

The young auburn haired, jumped up at the sound of something rising up in the air, her eyes searching the source of noise realising it was only the transportation Onyx had taken off. A small smile occupied the young girl Ivy's lips, a rosy colour filling her cheek bones from the cold she felt as she hugged herself, yet her legs still were a bit cold with the small skirt she wore. "Not sure Kris, no idea really." she answered Kris who seemed pretty spaced out into his own fantasy. Poking Kris slightly she asked again, "What were you staring off to Kris?" tesingly she smiled at him, a small twinkle in her eyes lighting up her emerald eyes.
Looking back to the whole Canteen, she pondered on what they would have to do now, would they also go and help? Or would they rest here until they come back? Ivy was particulary sure, she just hoped she would know soon and maybe meet Onyx too. Ahh how far dreams could go.

With a slight grumble he nodded to his team, they were all aware of their place in the school as students, but Inflict above all hated to be told what to do. Begrudgingly he rose and without a word turned away from Rogue and headed out to the front elevator. It was going to be a long night.

Raising not his eyes to meet the teacher's, respect or fear being furthest from the reasons why as in fact a twisted sense of rebellion the true source of his occullar diversion, Shade shrugged not even a little at the reprimand. Feeling bad about what he'd done to the little girls would have been a waste of compassion, and a limited supply he did have of that emotion. For, his teammates, the closest things to friends he could claim in this world, they were manipulating.
Outside of the school? Well that would be the end of them! Were that to happen out in the 'real' world, a predatory act begets a predatory response. Glancing back around the room, the remaining cattle that sat looking like they needed someone to tell them what to do his eyes did pass over and pass back again. There in the congregation of the lost sat one who looked so timid. Almost laughing at him, but holding his outburst in check before he made matters worse, Stephen noted the face of the boy.
Feet at a loss for shoes, he followed his Captain. Padding silent. Padding softly on cold smooth floor, he looked back not again, looked back no more.

"Yo, I didn't do anything Rogue." Rose didn't want to get all sweaty and voiced her dislike of her one time idol's decision "What the hell, like it hasn't been a long enough day already? Shit." She stood up in a huff and shook her head as she followed her boyfriend, and the weird boy known as Shade, out of the cafeteria. "This freakin' sucks!" she complained as she left and her voice carried back down the hall into the expansive glass room.

Having seen the two adorable little Alpha Squadron kids being scared off by Shade, Ariel was unable to hide a frown to see the little fairy crying and the little blonde girl trying to hold it back as they went back to Karma. As she got up from her seat, seeing that she should get moving as everyone else had, she saw Rogue go to the Hellions and sentence them to the Danger Room, and she couldn’t help snickering. Those poor girls, getting scared like that. It was innocent fun, and the stupid Hellions have to have their tough act, she thought as she looked at the time on her cell phone, which told her it was quite late. She was sure that the younger kids were tired after a trying day, and wanted to try to see them off so they could get some sleep.
Walking to the group of them, she looked at each with a friendly smile as she said to them all in her light Latina accent, “Hey guys, I’m Ariel, or Hotwire if you like using codenames better. I’m a Corsair around here.” She was a nice person, and she let that shine through to the kids as she guessed they probably saw the show the Hellions put on, and wanted to make the fact that most of the people who had been in the cafeteria were now gone as well something lighter. “You all look really beat, and it’s getting very late. There’s bound to be a lot for all of us to do tomorrow, so why don’t you all head off to bed? Getting a good night’s sleep will be good for you guys especially since a lot is going on,” she suggested, though it was less of a suggestion than it was a nicely put order.
While she waited for some reaction from them, Ariel looked over towards the Squadron leader. “Hey Karma, need any help with your girls or anything?” she asked, giving the teacher a warm smile while she flipped a black braid over her shoulder. She wanted to help get things moving along since there was more than plenty to be done, what with the explosion outside, people in Limbo, like her team leader Cyclops, and more people who might go to Limbo, including her own teammates now.

Lily flitted from hiding behind Karma's back to go into her open arms, leaving enough space for Jenny too while she hugged her leader tightly with her little arms. She sniffled and looked up at her leader with her big watery eyes. "C-cupcakes? O-kay," she answered, trying to not blubber. However, she also heard a name she didn't know, and so she couldn't help but ask, "Shimmer? W-who's that?" she asked as the idea of making cookies later sounded like a good happy idea. She let go of Karma once they got to the table, and picked up the cupcake in front of her with both hands and started picking at it, munching quietly and letting the chocolatey goodness help her forget that scary ghost person.
Sniffling one more time, feeling better from the cupcake, Lily wiped her eyes with one arm as she silently watched with curious eyes an older pretty black haired girl walk around and talk to the bigger kids. Then she looked quickly down and focused on her cupcake as she heard the girl talk to Karma. Looking to Jenny, she gave her a toothy and chocolatey smile to cheer her up since she knew her friend wasn't happy because of the big mean older kids too.

Karma gave a reassuring smile to lily as she watched her eat away at her cup cake. "Shimmer was the girl with pink hair from the kitchen." she said, answering her previous question. Now though, having seen sed student leave for bed, Karma mentally agreed with her. Everyone should really be off to their rooms now, her girls especially had been up too long. She smiled gratefully at Hotwire as she offered to help with her girls, it was good that the younger students where favoured among by almost all of the older students, a select few though ...
"That would be a big help Ariel, would you mind getting them a head start off to their dorms, i'll be up soon to check on them and make sure they are all CLEAN." she said with a grin, eyeing her girls with her last word, "Remember, wash your face, and brush your teeth, you've had alot of chocolate." she reminded her twp girls before smiling gently at them and turning back to Ariel. "They know where their rooms are, just make sure they don't run off." she couldn't help but hold back a laugh. "On you go Lily, Jenny. You too Roger. Bed time." she chimed, before getting out of her seat and speaking to the rest of the students still lingering in the room.
"Alright everyone, I know alot has just happened and some of us have just left on a mission, but the rest of you-" she eyed the remaining six students. "-please go to your dorms and get into bed, lights out soon so don't stay up. I'll be checking the dorms later to make sure your all in bed, it's been a very long day and we all need a good night's sleep for tomorow." She ordered, nodding her head in the direction of the door and folding her arms before turning to pack up the rest of the cup cakes left on the table.

"Uh well, I just thought-" Kyle wanted to explain his point of view about feeling he made an awful first impression and all but he just didn't want to make matters worse. "Oh, I understand." He shrugged Chases's arm of of him and walked a step away only to find himself face to face with some older girl telling him to go to bed.
"What!?!" he said right into the Corsair's face "You sendin me to bed!?! Who do you think you are?" Kyle shook his head and just kept right on walking out of the cafeteria. 'Screw this man, I shoulda left. I need a challenge and Rogue wont let me even try. Hell with this I'm gonna sneak into the Danger Room!' he thought as a grin creeped across his face.

Chase was standing there looking dumbfounded and flustered until he decided to follow Kyle. 'Maybe he's heading to our room?' he thought and quickly stepped after him. "Good night everybody." Chase said waving as he left out after Kyle.

Karma turned her head abruptly as she heard one of the students speak up angrily about going to bed. Now, Xi'an was a tolerable person, she would stand alot of things and take it with a calm smile. But today had been filled with so much activity and so many losses of team members that she felt this the exact wrong time for any hormonal teenage mood swings. "Jumper!" she said above the noise of lingering conversations and movement around the room. "If i hear you disobeying one of my orders and speaking like that to another student, be they older or younger, then you will regret it." She said, her usually calm demenor giving way to a frowning and slight aggitated one.
Too much had gone on today, and Xi'an was still getting her thoughts together on what she could do to ease the pressure on her two team members now in charge of the remaining student body. And this was one thing she needed to deal with. "Kyle, you will go to your dorm room, and you will be in your bed when i come to check around the dorms or when i get another staff member to. Do you hear me? Any sneaking around or running in your case, and i will have to take a note of it and be sure to report it. Now, i want you to appoligize to Hotwire, NICELY and be on your way." she said, using a very paternal tone which clearly expressed her telling off of the young student. He should know by now having been in the school the longest this term about what examples he should be setting. "That goes for the rest of you too. Dorms. Bed. Now!" She ordered, pointing her finger to the door and waiting with a hand on hip to see the remaining students leave.
