At the sound of Kelly's scream, Rogue jumped in her seat and automatically put the Quinjet on autopilot. "Kelly will ya stop and your screaming?" she said and stood up, dropping Calorie on the floor. She turned to look at the poor creature that was now covered in food. He looked relatively harmless but Rogue knew from experience that appearances can be deceiving.
Her hand moved to the emergency air shaft handle as she stared at the creature hard. "Stay back ya'll. Ah don't know what or who you are, but ya better gimme a good reason why I shouldn't pull this hear handle and drop you off my jet. Or throw ya off, either one works for me," Rogue said looking at the creature cautiously ready to move at the slightest indication.

No sooner had a Coffee popped out of the mirror than the strange human boy sitting in front of him started to freak out. The boy was screaming and throwing things and now the older woman, who looked like Rogue from the X-Men clips shown in the Mojoverse, was glaring at him and telling him to explain himself or be thrown off of th jet, to what was sure to be his death. He couldn't talk though, only squeak in rabbit speech as he lacked the vocal chords of humans.
He would have to try pantomime. He sat up slowly and then pointed to himself...with one claw extended on his right paw he pointed to his chest and then pulled the paw back and forth, hitting the extended digit against his chest to show he meant "me." Then he cowered. Then he sat up and made a silhouette of another person, a much bigger one, in the air with his two paws. He then pointed to where he had made the silhouette and slowly getting on his back legs and putting his paws up in the air above his head waved menacingly at the spot where he had just sat. Then he retreated back to that spot and cowered.
Having shown that a mean, menacing figure threatened him. He made another silhouette on his other side. Then he sat facing his old position and used one paw to show a box in front of his face and the other to turn a crank like on old movie cameras to show the man who filmed. Then he cowered again.
Finally he finished by tracing a big box above them in the sky and pointing to the boy, the girl with the mirror, and Rogue. Then remade the box and used his paws to show little people walking in it, and then pointed to them again. Then he pointed to the girl with the mirror and used his paws to make a circle like her mirror and kissed the circle. He pointed to his eyes, to the girl, and made the mirror again and then pointed to himself and to the mirror. Then he showed the mean man menacing him scratch his head and shrug his shoulders as if to wonder "where did the rabbit go?"
With this done, trembling, he dropped to his hind knees on the seat and clasped his front paws, begging again, to say "Please help me." His ears also drooped sadly. Making him a rather forlorn, cute little rabbit in a bloodied and now ketchup smeared blue tunic.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAWWWWWWW. Look at the poor little thing, aww look you frightened it!" Kris objected quietly to himself as he observed the event of Rogue and Kelly being not so kindly to the cute little black rabbit. The thing he was in looked like one of those strange jumpers people put their pets in to make them more like humans, he couldn't see if the poor thing was hurt or not due to the tomato sauce now covering it's body. The sharades performance though was something spectacular to witness as he himself has never seen much more of a rabbit to be doing other than eating and peeing on anyone who held it. This guy was awesome.
"Awww how cute, look at his little paws. Aww, Rogue look he isn't going to hurt us, are you wee man. He just needs a friend is all, look at him shaking. Poor little guy. You're not gonna hurt us are you? Your just a lost soul in the wrong place at the wrong time." Kris cooed to the black rabbit whose cute act was more or less making him want to pick it up and keep it safe. The little guy looked so frightened it was adorable yet so sad. "Can he just stay with us? He's not going to do any harm, if he does i think six mutants are more than capable of keeping a little rabbit under control don't you think?" He said, his own face in a way mimicking the rabbits in a cute pleading sort of look in terms of wanting to keep the little guy.

Tia couldn't help but fantasize about throwing Kelly around in the air, and chucking him on top of some electric fence so he could go get electrecuted and hopefully crash out and die or something. Well, die was going a bit too harsh, but he really was getting on her nerves. She snapped out of it as she spotted Gavin send her a crooked smile. Oh wow, sympathy smiles! Urg! She attempted a weak smile back - trying to be nice, mainly because he was new, and she really hadn't spoken to him yet, so she couldn't judge him. She moved her eyes to stare down at her feet. She could feel her lips cracking slightly, she licked her lips to smoothen them out. Too bad she didn't carry a chapstick. They were handy things.
She pushed her head against her seat, before hearing Ariel speak. "And leave the poor girl alone," Oh yes please leave the poor girl alone. She glanced at Ariel, giving her a 'thanks' smile, before turning away again. She wondered what it would be like if she actually started speaking to these people... well, it sure as hell would be awkward. Plus, she really didn't know what to say to other people. She shrugged the thought off, and tilted her head to lean gentally against the window to her right, so she could look outside, and get her last couple of glances of the beautiful snow around them, before she felt herself jump in her seat.
Kelly had begun shrieking and shouting due to the appearance of a rat through a mirror, and the next thing she knew was that he was sitting on Rogue's lap, holding onto her neck shrieking even louder. Tia stared wide eyed at the seat in front of her, her lips pressed against each other, as she tried to control the laughter that was just waiting to escape her. This probably had to be the highlight of the day for her. Kelly being attacked by a rat! "I take it he doesn't like rats too much," she muttered. But no sooner had she said that Rogue had told them all to stay back as she delt with it.
The Rat began to do a series of actions which Tia was unable to make any sense of, she heard Kris (she'd figured his name out - at last - when rogue had introduced them all to Gavin) go all soft and mushy for the Rat - Rabbit - thing. Tia loved animals, except snakes, they were just... a no no. The Rabbit-Rat thing was rather cute, but Tia always had to spend some time with an animal to actually begin to trust it or get close to it. She was exactly the same with people. She had to get to know them quite well, to trust them or open herself up.

Gavin jumped at all the screaming, his wings turning into sharp blades from fright, digging into his skin and he felt it puncturing through his shirt and biting into the leather of his brown leather jacket. He watched the rabbit, not rodent like Kelly thought, act out all these scenarios charades style. Gavin paid close attention to the food covered rabbits signs, piecing together in his sharp mind what he was trying to tell them. "Uh guys I think he tried to run away from someone bad and scary, and the mirror was his way out?" Gavin guessed looking around and feeling his wings soften slightly.
The poor rabbit looked so sad covered in food stains in his little outfit, that the animal lover in Gavin felt for the little guy. He rummaged through his duffel and pulled out a wrinkled clean towel and held it out to the little rabbit. "Here you go little guy, get yourself cleaned up," he said with a slight smile to the little guy. Maybe he was just naive at the fact that danger comes in all forms, but his gut told him it was alright and the animal lover in him won him over.

The rabbit jumping out of her little compact mirror startled Ariel, but she too felt sympathy for the poor thing now that it was covered in remnants of food. "He doesn't look like he's going to harm us Rogue. He seems more scared than anything," she commented, watching the rabbit do a whole bunch of moves that seemed kind of like charades as if he were trying to get across a message. She was about to give her own interpretation of what she thought it meant, but Gavin spoke and had the same idea. "How could that be possible?" she asked, looking at her mirror with a raised eyebrow, and then put it away, juuust in case.
She sent a glare at Kelly as Gavin gave the little rabbit a towel to wipe himself off with. All that food thrown was not necessary, though she wondered where on earth he had come from, and how the hell he came through her mirror. It was quite a surprise but he didn't seem like he was too much of a threat, but even if he was, it wasn't like they wouldn't be able to handle it. "Chill out Kelly, it's not a rodent, it's in an entirely different animal family you dipshit. You'd know that if you listened to me and Nightcrawler," she said in an almost exasperated voice, getting up and grabbing him by the arm to pull him up towards his seat. Ariel sat back down and looked to the rabbit. "Are you okay little one?" she asked him, her voice softer.

Rogue was weary and ready to make the rabbit fly out of the Quinjet if need be. However she wasn't one to jump to conclusions. Two things were for certain: 1) This was no ordinary rabbit; he was at least three feet tall and 2) He just jumped out of a mirror, possibly from another dimension or world. Seeing as they had a new member added to the group, Rogue believed it was best to see what he was all about. She was still not able to trust him, even though the kids did. He did seem helpless however his size made Rogue consider otherwise.
"Let's not jump to conclusions," she said to the group. She then looked to the rabbit. "You clearly can understand us," she said. "If you can find a way to tell us, where is home?" She looked to him, wondering if he was able to do sign language or something to that effect. This new world of mutants made anything seem possible. And since Rogue was experienced in that field, she waited for the black rabbit's response.

Oh,good. It seems to be working. Everybody's calming down. Coffee thought as one of the older boys started to talk to him gently, calling him a poor little thing, and turning to the woman who looked like Rogue from the X-Men show and asking if they could keep him there. Then another boy, one with large wings, offered him a towel, which Coffee slowly took and started to wipe the ketchup, sauce, and other food junk off. He then bowed to the winged boy as a thank you. When the winged boy interpreted the charades correctly Coffee shook his head vigorously up and down to say "yes, yes, that's right, I did flee bad people using the mirror."
When the girl with the mirror sat back down near him and asked if he was OK, Coffee let out an audible sigh of relief. Now things were going to be fine. Once again he nodded "Yes" to let the girl know he was alright.
However, his relief was short lived when the Rogue looking woman said something about saying where home was. She'snot going to send me back. Mojo will come up with some hideous death for me far worse than the pot. Oh, please God, don't let her send me back! Shaking his head "No, no," Coffee jumped down from the seat onto the floor. There in the mess created by the food that the big boy, the one who had freaked out on his arrival, had thrown at him, he tried to draw in it. He drew a little square, then he drew a rabbit in the square, and finally he drew bars on the house. Then he drew a ferocious looking man outside with a whip. Finally he drew a video camera. And behind the camera he drew the most fearsome thing he knew...he drew MOJO.

Tia heard everyone speak up, talking about how the Rabbit (she'd finally concluded on calling it a rabbit instead of a rabbit-rat thing) seemed absolutely harmless. It did look far bigger than most Rabbits, but it did seem petrified too. And it seemed a helluva lot smarter than the ones she'd encountered meetings with. He - or she - but she doubted it was a she - began to draw stuff on the mess Kelly had created. A rabbit in bars, with a man with a whip outside and then he drew someone with a video camera. The only thing Tia was able to recognise was the rabbit behind the bars - and ofcourse the objects being used.
"Why do they - those people - want to hurt you?" Tia spoke aloud, her soft voice louder than usual and slightly hesitant. Her voice never really seemed to match her attitude or appearance, but then again, she barely seemed to speak, so it wasn't noticed to much - or so she thought anyway. She looked at the brown creature, slight concern filling her eyes.

Kelly rubbed his backside from the impact of Rogue dropping him and looked at the rabbit warily with interest. "Ok so he's a rabbit, fine but he so looked like a rat!" he defended himself and sat in an empty seat crossing his arms in a huff. I hate rats, i wish i could turn all the rats into something gross like brussel sprouts and then step on them, he said in his head.
The bitterness turned to fascination when he saw the rabbit begin drawing a rather sloppy picture, but still a picture. "OH MY GOD! It's a mutated Rabbit thats the reincarnation of PICASSO!" Kelly exclaimed and then stopped for a minute to think. "You think he'd paint out our ceiling too? That would totally awesome!" he exclaimed and began thinking about what could be painted on the ceiling of the foyer. "Maybe like an astronaut dance party or something," he thought out loud.

Ariel nodded slightly at what Rogue said, catching herself as her defenses were down because she felt pity for the rabbit when she should've been on her guard just in case. The rabbit did seem harmless, though, as he began to draw a picture with all the food to answer Rogue's question. She looked at the younger girl as she actually spoke, and wondered the same thing, looking at the picture again and posing a question or two of her own. "They would film it? And who is that running the camera?" she asked, looking to the rabbit and then at Rogue. At least Kelly was over thinking the rabbit was a rat, but she couldn't help rolling her eyes at him and didn't say anything this time, deciding finding out answers from the rabbit was more important than putting in the effort to tell Kelly to shut up again.

Gavin studied the rabbit, smiling at it when it bowed to him. "You're welcome," he said softly, a bit surprised that the rabbit understood them so well. Even so far as to draw a picture in the mess of food that surrounded him. He leaned forward and tried to interpret the drawings. "I think that those are cameras. And that looks what I would think is the big ugly bad guy," he pointed out studying the drawing and thinking in the sames terms he thought of when he tried to figure out what his little sister had drawn for him.
This day just gets weirder and longer by the minute, he thought and looked back up at Rogue. "Doesn't Emma Frost run that school? Why don't we take him to the school and have her take a look at his mind. I'm sure we can handle him till then," Gavin thought out loud, trying to contemplate the situation and think of a logical solution than everyone sitting there and playing guessing games.

Rogue waited rather impatiently for the rabbit to tell her what she wanted to know. With the temporary Paragon leader, it was instantaneous gratification 24/7. She wanted to know what she asked to know, right then and there without hesitation. So naturally when the rabbit began to draw, she felt a bit unhappy that it was going to take a while before he finished trying to tell her whatever or wherever home was.
Once the drawing was finished, she took a step forward attempting to see the picture through the heads of the curious children on board. She finally caught a glimpse of the "camera man" and Rogue's eyes widened. It was Mojo, a face she was able to decipher quite well. Just when Ah thought life was gettin' a bit easier, she thought angrily. "Mojo?" Rogue finally said to the rabbit with a monotone voice. "Is that Mojo?" Clearly it was, however she still needed to be 100% positive from the rabbit. If it was the leader of the Mojoverse, then the rabbit would need to be taken to Emma and further analyzed and questioned. Fortunately, the new student Gavin Croft had the same idea. This made Rogue smile.
"Ah think that is a great idea Gavin. Thank you for contributing your thoughts," she said warmly. Looking back to the black rabbit, Rogue's face turned grave again. "Ah am going to bring you back to our headquarters. There you will meet Emma Frost, a dear friend and colleague. She will be able to help us understand each other. That means Ah'm lettin' ya stay with us fer now. Give me any reason to not trust ya and Ah will take action. Understood?" she said authoritatively. The rabbit was something to be wary of, and Rogue didn't trust people easily. The fact that the rabbit came from Mojo's world didn't really help the situation either.

As one of the girls asked Coffee why the men in his picture wanted to hurt him he dropped his shoulders as tension began to run out of his body. But his ears were up. They were rigid. They were in battle mode. The children may trust you, but the leader does not. He thought. Andshe has made plenty of threats. I must be ready. He looked back at the girl who had questioned him and shrugged his shoulders as if to say, "Who knows?" It was less complicated than trying to draw another picture to explain.
But before long he was bombarded with more questions and comments, so that he had little time to think. The strange food flinging boy started talking, causing Coffee to immediately tense and prepare for another assault. He scanned the airplane and saw a door ajar in the back. I've seen that in the movies, he thought. The bathroom. Planes have bathrooms in the back and bathrooms have mirrors. Any trouble and I make for the bathroom.
Then the boy continued calling him a Picasso. What the hell is a Picasso? The boy sounded excited by it though so Coffee figured it must be good, until something was said about painting ceilings. Coffee scowled at the thought, A Picasso is a set painter. Hell no. I'm a champion. I wouldn't be caught dead painting sets! Worried though, that his scowl might be taken the wrong way by the Rogue woman he turned away while he tried to regain his composure.
By turning around he faced the mirror girl who asked him who was running the camera. It was unbelievable. These people don't know Mojo. He has them on his show and they don't know him. How the hell does Mojo get the feed? But then something happened that perturbed him greatly. The winged boy mentioned something about having Coffee's mind read. What!?!!? Even Mojo can't do that. My mind's the one thing I've got. Like hell I'm letting somebody in there. I'd rather be stew and me, than alive and controlled like that. So upset was he by this development that he did not acknowledge the boy's "your welcome" or astute observation about the picture's meaning. Instead he tensed up even farther, quite a feat given how tense he already was, and shook his head vigorously, "No, No" at the idea of having his mind read.
Coffee's personal, mental integrity, however, seemed to be the least of the leader woman's concerns. For when she recognized the cameraman and in a monotone voice asked "Mojo?" Coffee didn't need to hear anything more, although he did, to know that she was going to have that mind reading person go after him just as wing boy had suggested. Coffee glumly nodded "Yes" to the question. He was too worried about his brain to be happy that they had finally figured out that he was running from Mojo.
And that brought out a terrible thought. The X-Men had supposedly defeated Mojo. Yet. Here they are on his TV shows. When the leader figures out I'm running from Mojo she wants to have my mind read. What if Mojo is in control here too? It's just a different program. He can read minds after all. Should I bolt? Where would I go? Fight? Can I take them all? Calm, calm. Wait and see. You know where the mirror is. Besides, the authoritative threat of unspecified action was lingering and while Coffee was not a coward he was not a fool. If she really was an X-Men then she would probably be able to throw him from the plane or do any number of other unpleasant things. Besides, if he jumped back into the mirror with no known exit point he could easily wind up somewhere far worse.

Rogue watched as the rabbit shook his head vigorously. He was clearly afraid or just didn't like the idea of meeting Emma. "Listen buddy it's either that or over two thousand miles down," she said in her southern belle accent. Rogue was growing more impatient with the black creature. And now that he was somehow affiliated with Mojo made her not trust him even further. It was important to show the kids an example to not jump to conclusions and observe everything for what it is before making an opinion. Therefore, Rogue was the hard-ass she always was.
After settling everything the the rabbit, Rogue noticed that the group was almost back home. "We will be landin' in about seven minutes kids. So let's make sure Gavin has all 'o his things ready tuh be moved." She looked back, sitting in the pilot seat and watching as the thick upstate forest began to look familiar. The Xavier Mansion was only minutes away.
