"I don't know." Niki said to Aideen "Guess we kinda got close in Limbo, he's got a kinduva thing he does, with his...nevermind!" her lip curled up in a pouty way and her eyes danced with giggles tucked away behind them. "I dunno... but yeah, the surfer jock." She said and a slight flush came to her face. It was an odd thing to see as Haven was ordinarily so very pale.
"And what's up with you two?" Haven asked with a raise of her eyebrow, and another smirk growing on her still flushed face. She was trying to change the subject and hoped Ember would keep the game going, it was fun to kick it around with her. Niki had never had as cool a friend as the firebender, she had never before had a friend actually, and she nodded her head toward the one up front who she was asking about.
The grin forming on her face would let Ember know it was nothing serious, her question was not a 'prying into' or even a 'I'm terribly concerned about you' kind of thing, it was just for fun to pass the next ten minutes that Cyclops had said it would take. The thing was that even if Ember's question had been all in fun it had her thinking now. Thinking of what it was about the guy that she liked so much.

Aideen had a knowing smirk on her face, bringing a knee up by her chin and resting it there lightly. "Kind of a thing? Yeah I bet," she said softly to her with an extremely amused look on her face at how flustered Haven was getting over a guy. The blush on her face just took the cake. "Hey I guess we like who we like, can't help who it is huh?" Aideen added in her quiet voice and glanced over at her with the same amused smirk on her lips. She still looked like crap, and she knew it, and she was still as cold as ever, jonesing for the LIMBO heat again, but Aideen felt better than she had in days. The past couple of hours had done wonders for her emotional state, a sort of healing that she needed for a long time. Sitting here with Haven and just talking about guys was something she never did before and never really cared for in general. Perhaps it felt nice now cause it was Haven, Aideen's first female friend, or maybe it was because of her new outlook on life. No matter what the reason, she liked this kind of talk.
Cyclops' announcement made her eyes light up slightly at the idea of being back at the mansion or 'home.' Guess that is my home. More of a home than Boston ever was. I could live without some of the mansion's occupants, but I suppose we can never have it all. A small smile appeared on her face for just a moment at the thought, but it left as quickly as they came. Aideen never found a reason to keep a lingering smile on her face, not unless it was deserved.
A scoff escaped her when Haven asked about Onyx. "Honestly? Not sure at all. I was messed up before, you know that. Thinking back I don't even know what I was doing half the time. Acting like a robot or something. I ran into that kid when I was in a state, and I think I found amusement in how pissed off I got him and confused him. I didn't have much control over that amusement, I just sort of did it for the sake of it. If that makes sense. Anyways, I think I got his interest in more of a way than I was expecting to or want to for that matter," Aideen said thoughtfully, surprising even herself how detached she was just a whole day ago. "I think he got a little bit of a thing for me, but you know how it is Nikki. The kid's young, tall yeah but young. I don't go near that area, learned awhile ago that not even guys my own age can handle me. I don't know why, they just can't," she said with a slight laugh. "Guess thats why the main guy I messed around with back in Boston was eight years older than me. He was kind of a tool though, but a useful one," she added in a quiet voice and laughed a bit. Aideen and Nikki got each other in their own odd way. It was a connection that forged from the meeting in the stable and expanded to several more times before Haven up and left. Both were comfortable with it so it meant nothing was questioned, it was just accepted. That suited Aideen just fine.

"Yeah, slow. We can go slow, I don't want to rush through anything in my life. Nothing at least, that's supposed to be a pleasure." she said softly back to him their faces were so close together, foreheads touching. "I want to take our time, I'm glad you want to too." She reached a soft sweet smelling hand up to his cheek and played her fingers across his skin. His voice was so sexy, she liked it when he grumbled, it made him all the more rough and tumble.
Something fluttered in her stomach as she rolled her face against his, gently, until they were cheek to cheek and she whispered in his ear. "I know you're hard on yourself Mason, you don't have to be." she wanted to kiss him. She wanted to pull his lips down on her own and taste the truth of his words, but she didn't want to bruise the moment, or smudge a line that they had just decided on drawing for themselves. So she took the greatest pains to brush her lips down the stubble of his cheek, so ever-slow, feeling the delight in each hair on her lips and feeling how her lips on those hairs delighted him as well.
Her power could become a very addicting thing if she fell into the thrall of it's potency. Feeling your own joyful lust was one thing, but to feel yours mixed with another's was completely intoxicating. She would have to go slow and her mouth paused next his for a moment, lips quivering as she took that second to contain herself as best she could. Her hand still on his cheek, there to hold on and balance herself against the buffeting winds of passion that were beginning to sweep her away.

A crooked smile broke out on Ian's face and he leaned forward to ruffle Hardlight's hair. "Sure Little Man, no problem. I'll come bring you along whenever I hit the gym and we can workout together. Coach drilled a bunch of workout routines in my head so I know them all. I'll help you out no problem," he said cheerfully but then eyed Lorelai and shook his head. "You babe are on your own. I don't want my girl to look like those body building chicks or a mini she-hulk with twice the bulk," Ian said sticking his tongue out at her. Who'd wanna date a chick that looks like a female Juggernaut? he thought with a shudder and poked Lorelai in the side again.
"Uh me, Pipsqueak, and Hardlight here are all Acolytes. Blondie and this dude Onyx right? Well their New Mutants. Spitfire is the only Paragon on here, but there are more at school. Then there are the Corsairs and Hellions, but they're the older team. And the younger team is Alpha Squadron. Yea thats all of them.." Ian trailed off before Cyclops announced that they would be home soon. "RADICAL!!! FINALLY!" he yelled and pumped his fist into the air. "Hey can we order in some food too? Like pizza or tacos?" Ian asked out loud as his stomach rumbled from hunger.
"Finally man, we're almost home! I could use for some food, and then I'm gonna run around and hug every piece of furniture in the house and thank god that there aren't any demons here. And then I'm grabbing my sled and I'm going outside. After Sean fixes it and all," he added sheepishly remembering how just the other day it bent in half cause he stepped on it. Man was it really just the other day? Feels like its been forever, he thought and sat back in his seat.

Lorelai looked up at Jasper as he introduced himself and nodded at his question. "Yeah, I'm the ice girl," she answered with a slight laugh. She knew there was always a double meaning behind the description of her powers and codename- there was the mutation itself, and the possible take on her personality that should like to show itself should she be provoked. But she had little reason to act icy, and she was just physically cold. She remained quiet while the others talked about the school and training when Hardlight asked if he could work out with Ian. She couldn't help smiling a little. It just seemed so cute; but she didn't laugh. It was quite apparent that his feelings could easily be hurt, and she didn't want to accidentally offend him.
"Eww no, don't worry. I'll never become one of those freaky deaky bulky women. That's just wrong," Lorelai said, shaking her head with an 'icked out' look on her face, but giggled when she was poked. She poked Ian back a couple of times and stuck her tongue out back at him. She nodded when he explained briefly about the teams and who was on what one on the plane, but looked to Cyclops when he announced that it would only be ten more minutes until they would be back at the school. She sighed happily at the knowledge, happy to know that she would soon be back and able to relax where it was nice and cold and snowy. And she looked forward to chilling out and spending time with Ian. Maybe reading too, or even she might consider looking into some sort of training with weapons or simply how to fight perhaps considering how useless she had been in Limbo, but just knowing she'd be there soon was good enough for her for now.
Rolling her eyes at Ian's extremely obvious hunger, she shook her head with a smirk. "Hon I'm surprised you haven't eaten your own hand yet. There is always food in the kitchen. Relax. And screw your sled, I can make you an ice one that's way better and faster," she told him with a laugh. She herself was still hungry, but she had forgotten how much because unlike Ian, food wasn't quite the do-all be-all of everything for her. "I can't wait to be home," she said with a sigh, leaning her head back for a second and sinking into her seat.

A sharp intake of breath was the only sound that came out of Mason at the new closeness between the two of them. There were times when he would hold Tracy and hug her when she needed it, but never like this. This was a new type of closeness for him in general, since he wasn't a relationship guy anymore than he was one for romance. He liked this though and hated it at the same time. It was torture, pure and simple, to be so close to her and not quite be touching her the way he wanted to for so long. "Trace..... Christ girl your gonna make it hard to take this thing slow. I wanted this for a long time..." Mason said with his eyes closed and swallowing hard.
Their mouths were just a whisper away, so close. He opened his eyes a bit and looked down at her, his body feeling all the points that it connected with his own. He took a deep breath and leaned the side of his face against hers, vaguely registering in the back of his mind that Cyclops said they'd be landing soon. Mason moved his head to the side and rested the side of his face against the side of hers, taking deep breath. She always had this effect on him whenever she got so close. It made his head spin and lose a little of the careful and constant control he had. The hand that rested on her stomach moved to her hip, squeezing and massaging it lightly. His other hand went to Tracey's slender shoulder, resting there.
Mason sighed leaning his head on the side of hers and slightly nuzzled her hair with his nose, but not enough for anyone but her to notice. "We'll be home soon," he said in a low voice his hand moving down to her side, his mind too muddled for thoughts. I think she really will be the death of me. Oh well, I'll live, Mason thought breathing in her scent.

Ten minutes huh? Guess I better give Rogue, Karma, and Colossus a bit of a heads up that we'll be home shortly she thought. She let her mind drift inward for a moment, the conversations around her gently softened and faded as she searched out her fellow X-Men's mind. Ah there is Karma at the school and Colossus just outside the mansion...Rogue is not there...where..?..wider ...wider still...where is this girl?...
Emma searched out her friend's mind in ever widening swaths of surrounding terrain and eventual found her. It was like a glint of shiny metal on a sandy beach when she would scan the globe piecemeal like that, unaided by Cerebra. She saw the mind of Rouge in of all places Maine. ~* Friends we will be coming home soon, mere minutes now. Rogue I see you are away hope nothing is terribly wrong. We have lost two students, Guardian and Elixir, but the rest of us will be returning. The children are terribly hungry, as I am sure we teachers are as well. A request was made for pizza, I see nothing wrong with that, call in to town and order what we need- Pizza party tonight! ...so Rogue get home quickly if you want any. *~
Emma broke off the contact with the teachers and opened her eyes. "Well, strangely enough Rogue is up in Maine. I care not to hear why right at this moment, these last few minutes might be all the rest I will have for the next six years or more." she said to the teachers seated near her. "Food should be on it's way, but we will have to make sure these kids don't go running out of the hangar telling stories that will scare the other children, especially the younger ones. I'm sure Scott will want to debrief us all quickly once we are down, I trust he will be concise and to the point as we all need to get back to some normalcy soon, so it should be a very brief debriefing." Emma smiled at them and glanced around the cabin of the Blackbird at her fellow mutants. She was very proud of them all and having said the names of her fallen students it finally struck her how terribly lucky the rest had been, many more could have been killed.

"Yeah," Kitty said, nodding in agreement. Sure, it may have been rough for who got sucked into Limbo, but it had to have been the roughest of all for both Logan and Kurt. They had been imprisoned there and restrained for who knows how long before the were actually able to reach them. She was glad that they were all out, that was for sure, but she wanted so much to get back to the school and back to that relatively abnormal normal that was the life of a mutant at Xavier's school. She missed the rest of her team and wanted to see them all together again, and whoever else might've managed to come to the school for the time she had been away and bring them all together. She missed Piotr most of all, though. Because of everything that was going on they had little time to see each other and at the moment she wanted nothing more to just jump into his arms and let go of everything.
However she was drawn out of these thoughts as she realized Wolverine had trailed off while he spoke. It was obvious that he was thinking about something since it was enough to let him forget his speech and just go off into thought. Kitty looked at him, a little smile playing on her lips in curiosity. "What are you thinking about?" she asked him, one eyebrow raised slightly as she wondered what had him so deep into thought.

Hearing that they were going to be home in about ten minutes was a relief to Heather's ears. She was so happy that she would soon feel the warm comfort of the mansion heating and her puffy pillow and relaxing bed sheets. She missed being a regular teenager. And thought she understood that that would never happen again, she was still able to pretend and just enjoy the "normal" days at the Xavier Mansion.
She looked to Ian, Lorelai and Kevin as they spoke to one another. She didn't really have an opinion or anything to add to the matter, except she was just as hungry as the rest of them if not more. She could go for some pizza or even some mac and cheese. Last time she had some was with Ian in the kitchen before all the mess and ambush happened. But putting the bad thoughts aside, everyone was back (but Guardian and Elixir) and she was happy about that.
Sitting back in her chair, Heather sighed and closed her eyes. She would have a quick nap before the landed. She was quite tired and was at least thankful she showered before they left Stark Tower that morning.

Veronika kept the interested look on her face, despite the disgust that she was feeling inside. I am on the same team as that harlot? Oh that is just perfect. Why can I not get away from her name?! Now I have to be on the same team as her too. It would be better if she just took the half ape, the girl with Smurf vomit for hair and the albino and just ride into the sunset and off a cliff. Honestly this school should have some standards. I must give Papa my complaints when I speak with him. The quality of the occupants that this school accepts is less than favorable. "Well you all seem so close, it only makes sense that you are on the same team," she said sweetly to the three Acolytes, giving them a charming and angelic smile.
Her bright blue eyes snapped to Cyclops, quickly admiring his form before she actually comprehended the words. "Oh we are back! How wonderful. I must unpack and get myself settled. Heather you did say you would help me no?" she asked her friend sweetly. Finally some time away from most of these freaks on the plane. I never thought I could be so happy about unpacking. Usually my maid does it, but anything to get away from these disgusting wastes of life.

Giggling as Ian ruffled his hair Kevin was thrilled to be axcepted and it was a fact that they had gotten much closer since before LIMBO. "Yeah, I wanna get some little bit of muscles. Not too big but you konw look good and all, plus get some more fighting trainnig. I can use my powers better, but when i got overtook it was uh, it was" what was it Kev, huh? Was it hot? Was it awful? What? You don't even know do you, what does that mean? HUh, what does it mean?
"I just want to get better, stronger, harder, faster. Like Kanye sings, you know?" he smiled pushing the worries of his event in LimbO out of his head. He wanted to hug his team mates. They were close, but he didn't want to embaras Deisil with a hug, so he just rested his head against Frosbstbite's shoulder and kicked his feet out and back with joy. "Ten minutes guys, Just teN more minutes!" he was excited to be home.

"There it is Forge, ease us around." cyclops said to his co-pilot. "I want everybody to see the place , give us a nice pan around the perimeter...yeah just like that." Cyclops directed Forge as he spun himself around to talk to everyone.
"Alright, everybody listen up. Take a look out your windows, PORT side- that's your left side gang." he said as The Blackbird made an elegant swoop to the left around the outside of the school and the mansion and the grounds. It swung wide around the lake like Scott always liked to do. Left side of the jet angled down so that everyone could see what was beneath them.
"I have grown up here at this school. This is my home more than any other place in the world, and I love it. I have built a life here and I will be an X-Man for all of my days. You can be whatever you want to be, and I am proud of you all. I thank each of you for what you did there in Limbo, now take a look out the windows and see the home that welcomes you all back. A chapter of your lives is coming to an end, mark it in your mind. From this day forward you will no longer be just children. I, and all of the X-Men, will hold you to a higher standard." he unfastened his belt and walked over a step or two to look below as Forge flew them in a delicate circle around the grounds. "We're back children." he said and peeling his eyes from the view outside, he took a moment to see each child and each X-Man.
Himself, an orphan who had finally found a home. His co-pilot, a man of proud heritage. The Queen who was the peasant soul. The Dazzler who delighted in being dazzled. A Devil with the soul of an angel and the Beast with the heart of a saint. A dark brooding boy, winged and wishful. The Hard-rock softie and hardly wise Shaman. The Ice Princess, burning for her beau. A Mafia Princess yearning for something not faux. The little artist, starving for love. A big surfer jock, willful and tough. The water wielder, heart on her sleeve. The hardened warrior next to the link to his past. The link shackled fast to her burden of loss. A gun-stringer and his heart-slinger would she be the next strung along? Then looking waaay in the back, a broken girl and one who was shattered- the glue of their friendship they used to bond themselves to each other and fix what they could.
Scott was no poet, but let it never be said he was myopic. He saw deeper than one might guess. His visor separating him from the ones he loved, but granting him a perspective that someone who's eyes could be seen and read by others did not possess.

Sean smiled at Kate, putting his arm around her and hugging her to him. "We all got scars Kate, everyone of us. I bet ya that there are even some people who got more scars and all that than you. You gotta remember darlin' that not all scars are on the outside," he said as he looked out the window at the school. It really was a great looking school despite the glowing yellow and metal wall on one side. Sean loved his home and missed it, but he knew that he couldn't stay there. Texas wasn't all the tolerable of mutants or anyone really, and neither would his home town have been if he was found out. That and Sean in his own way felt sympathy toward mutants, always felt that they were just like everyone else, struggling to survive and make it in a dangerous and corrupt world. Though his goodbye with his parents were tearful, Sean felt he was in a place where he not just belonged but needed to be.
Sitting there with his arm around Kate, Sean found it hard to believe that only two days ago he was lugging his dads old suitcase from the attic. So much had happened since then, it was almost like a bad dream that ended well. Limbo was hard and he couldn't believe Guardian was dead, and Elixir. He had watched both of them die right in front of him. There had been instances when he thought others would die to, like Nightcrawler when the sword was pulled out of him, and Cyclops when Ms. Marvel brought him back. Ember also when she landed on the stage in a lifeless heap. He was glad they were all alright now, but something in him changed when he saw Guardian and Elixir both die in front of him. It made the new life that he had all the more real and all the more scary.
I guess you need the bad times, to make the good times count twice as much, he thought and kissed Kate's scarred cheek as they looked out the window. "A dip in the hot tub sounds like paradise right about now. I wish we could go someplace warmer, even if for a little while. We'll make so though," Sean said with a grin. Though he knew that people were grieving for the loss of two students, including himself, they'd be alright. Through the grief they all found happiness in Sean's eyes. Sean found Kate, and he felt a bond with her that he never had before with anyone. Ian and Lorelai were reunited, and Hardlight seemed to have found his place with them. Even Haven seemed to have found her place with Aideen and Ian. Aideen didn't act like a robot anymore, and on a stretch he could even say she's happy, or at least looked happy at the reunion when she was with Wolverine. Cyclops looked extremely proud of everyone and even Beast, who Sean knew must have worked non-stop to get them back, looked happy, especially in the presence of Dazzler.
"I think I'm just glad to be back in general Katie girl. And I'm real glad that you're coming back with me and everyone else too," Sean said with a grin as he studied the school and the grounds with a look of calm relief and contentment on his face.

Forge spent his flight in quiet conversation with Cyclops, mostly talking about his plan to stay and do some more work on the Blackbird. He wanted to add several compatible features to it, and he had some time left over before he was due to arrive to do his annual work on the Hellicarrier for S.H.I.E.L.D. He was glad that Mato seemed to be easing into his surroundings and felt very sure that he could leave with the knowledge that he would be happy in these new surroundings.
"Way ahead of you Scott," he said as he eased the plane into a smooth turn around the school, lowering the speed so they could all get a good view of it. He helped build that building from ground up when it was destroyed a couple almost 10 years ago. Forge had fought alongside the X-Men for many years, an ally to them as much as they were to him, and he expected that relationship to stay strong for many years to come.
"Welcome home everyone. Tighten your seat belts," Forge called and brought the Blackbird over the basketball courts. He activated the hanger and gave in the access key. Flashing yellow lights lit up outside and the jet was filled with the unmistakable klaxon sound of the hanger opening. Some would probably consider it an annoyance, while others most likely considered it a relief to hear the familiar sound again. Forge eased the Blackbird into the hanger, taking it off stealth mode to alert the others in the school that they were back. Slowly and easily, Forge and Cyclops both landed the Blackbird inside the Hanger and moved it to it's proper place. The flashing lights didn't stop and the heavy klaxon sound began as the entrance above them closed to the now dark sky that rained snow on the land.
Forge turned off the plane and began opening the door. "And we're back here again. It's safe to get off now, but try not to fall on the way out," he called and unbuckled his seatbelt, waiting for everyone to leave before he did.

Emma unfastened her belt and looked at the activity in the jet as the engines powered down and the door opened, ramp dropping down. Looking over to Scott she saw him and made eye contact. ~* You giving a De-Brief hon? *~ she asked him with her mind. His affirmative response let her know to get the children's attention.
"Children! Please, just a moment more." she said as they were all so excited to get out of the Blackbird. "Cyclops needs a moment more with us, just a quick De-Briefing." she nodded her head to him and sat back down waiting patiently to be dismissed by Scott, who she deferred to when in the field.
