Skyler was tired, she had been up all night talking to Ripple about everything that happened in the school. She was a little freaked out with everything she heard that happened in the lab. And when she was informed of the meeting Beast called that she happened to sleep through, she got really freaked out about it. Skyler was freaked out enough to have had a hard time sleeping last night
Now she had woken up around half past noon in the afternoon groggily to find that Ripple wasn't in her room. After a quick shower and changing into her cargo pants and baby t-shirt over a long sleeve shirt, Skyler went to the kitchen with her skateboard under her arm and her MP3 player, singing 'Almost' by Bowling For Soup to herself.
"And I allllllllllmost had you, and I guess that doesn't cut it. Allllllllmost loved you- Whoa!" Skyler stopped singing when she got to the kitchen that just the other day looked like something out of a magazine that now looked like an unnatural disaster went through it. "Is that a...? Oh crap it's a chocolate wall? And what the heck is that bright glass/metal thing? That is just too weird!" Skyler exclaimed an looked around with big eyes before she shook herself out of it. "At least the fridge is still standing," she commented and went back to singing as she helped herself to the fridge.
Skyler went back to singing her song, which now switched to the next song on her playlist. Fortunately, it was another Bowling for Soup song. "Cause shes watching wrestlin, creamin over tuff guys, Listenin to rap metal, turn tables in her eyes. Its like a bad movie shes lookin thru me. If you were me than youd be screamin someone shoot me...," she sang as she took out all the ingredients for a big bowl of bacon macaroni and cheese.
Skyler was actually a really good cook, and she could make just about anything. Cooking had always been guilty pleasure. "And when she walks all the wind blows and the angels sing, but she'll never notice me..." Skyler sang along as she put the pan on the stove to heat and filled a saucer with water to boil for the macaroni.

Baking always made people happy, to come home with the smell of cookies and brownies in the air was something many people associated with a giant smile on their face and the sweet taste of sugar. Throughout her time as the leader of the Alpha Squadron Xi'an had grown accustomed to making food with her younger members for the sake of the elders. In times Stoney himself was accustomed to joining her and aiding with the work around the children. Such a sweet boy really, but his stance of being the 'silent' student and hanging around Inflict meant that his immediate impression was a little intimidating to many little children. But he was a sweety at heart.
Much like she hoped one day Inflict would turn out to become, how that boy had not been sent to prison before was close to a mystery; but somehow he always just kept coming back. 'I must make sure Calorie hasn't changed anything. I'll make his life very difficult if he has turned the sugar to salt and we cannot bake, does that boy think he is being smart? It's almost as bad as the time he asked Emma if he could turn my books in sugar paper so he wouldn't be so bored in the library. For shame. Still, make sure; sugar, butter, eggs, vanilla extract, baking soda, chocolate chips and i know we have salt. Why is it that it's always salt found in a cleared cupboard.' She mused as the small footsteps padded down the seemingly empty hallways. Slightly creepy in a way, this was a school.
But everyone was probably still asleep, or up to mischief. And she refused to get into anything; she was a single figure now. Colossus and Rogue where gone and she needed to keep herself out of being nosey and having her back turned. What she doesn't know wouldn't hurt her of course. But she had learned, just keeping an ear alert was all it took. Teachers intuition. "Oh i do hope They all get back alright, they're everywhere this time: we're divided. And i hope to god no more students arrive soon. I don't think i could cope." She said in a slightly stressed voice. But no, she would stay focused, being stressed in a single unit was never a smart thing to be.
Upon reaching the kitchen, poor Karma almost screamed at the sight of a large hole in the wall, surrounded what looked and smelled to be chocolate. Calorie would be hearing from her, and Emma would not be pleased at all. "At least there will not be a shortage of chocolate chips." She sighed, raising a hand to her forhead and rubbing it gently before walking through the door into the kitchen. The singing voice rousing her from her dangerous thoughts of what Kelly Burns would get when he got back ... and oh he would get it.
"Hello, Decay isn't it? De...- Decay?" She said, waving a little to get the girls attention after having noticed the earphones that where blasting out music. They got louder every year. "Good morning-" She looked at a clock on the thanfully spared wall and smiled slightly. "- well, afternoon as the day would have it. How did you sleep last night? Everyone seems to be very well knocked out: i've not seen many students up that are still here. It's odd. Trouble usually starts two hours ago." She mused, looking at the food that Decay was preparing. A help in the kitchen she hoped.
"Would you like to help me and once your finished cooking your bruch, get everyone out ready to start baking with the younger girls. We're wanting to bake some cookies for everyone coming home. And i need everything checked at least twice over. I don't want any more salty cookies. It wasn't funny the first time and it'll be someones detention if there is a second. What do you say?" She offered, going herself to look in the cupboards for the dry stored ingrediants. 'Sugar, vanilla essence, baking soda ... Where on earth did i hide the baking soda...' She mused, searching past the tins and cans littering the cupboards. The last time Baking Powder was about there where many baking soda volcano incidents that lasted over the period of week of Emma's absense to visit a friend in Scotland. Having a telepath around eventually caught the culprit; but during that time it was like 'Cluedo' in the school.

Sky took off her headphones and smiled at Karma. "Hey ya Karma! Sure let me just finish up with this bacon mac 'n cheese. It's almost done anyways," she said stirring the steaming pot of the macaroni with yellow cheese bubbling over it. Next to that pot was a pan of bacon that she was making all nice and crispy so she could put it in her food. She moved the extra crispy bacon on a plate and stirred the macaroni some more. "I slept alright Karma, not the best since well you know with everything going on I was totally freaked out. I mean I hope my team leader gets back and all cause I wanna meet him but everyone else too!" Sky exclaimed and lowered her music so it wouldn't be quite so loud.
She crumbled the many slices of bacon and put them in her mac 'n cheese stirring it in. "I was talking to Lian last night and she told me only one girl from our team was missing. That mean looking fire chick. I slept through her practice cause, well come on who wakes up that early anyways? Is there even life before 10am? That and I have an excuse cause I was totally jet lagged," Sky said and gave Karma a big innocent smile, since she knew she should have gone to team practice. Karma seemed really nice and Sky was rather blunt and real with everyone, whether they were an adult or someone her own age. "Honestly, I'm glad I missed that practice, Lian said that it was a killer. She made them run over hills for like an hour? Why would anyone run for so long? Ugh not my thing at all," Sky said with a huge sigh and poured her bacon mac n' cheese into a big bowl. She put the dirty pot and pan in the dishwasher and then sat at the kitchen table to babble on to Karma as she ate her delicious bacon mac 'n cheese.
"So we're gonna make cookies then with the cute little squirts? Rad. Just one kind of cookie or a whole different bunch. I make mean ginger snaps. Oh and white chocolate macadamia nut cookies too. Do we even have any macadamia nuts? I love those things," Sky said in between spoonfuls of food. She was skinny anyways so she was allowed to be a piggy and eat a lot of yummy stuff.

Lurai awoke with a start. Sun was streaming through her window, casting rays of light over her curled up form. She slept above the covers that night, having been restless and unable to sleep the night before. How late in the day was it? She got off her bed and stretched all her limbs, letting out a small growl of a yawn. From her limited pile of clothing she threw on enough to be considered decent and scratched behind her silky ears. Her stomach rumbled and it was then she remembered she barely had anything to eat the day before.
The halls were empty when she left her room, so she didn't hesitate to get down on all fours to run the way to the kitchen. She didn't know what she would have. Maybe some food would already be made, and she could have some. If not, she would find something simple to have, although maybe she would try something new. She would find something. Lurai was a hunter, she had amazing instincts and could track nearly anything.
She could smell food already from down the hall, and when she entered the kitchen she stood up straight to see the food she smelled for herself. Bacon, and that macaroni and cheese stuff Heather had brought to her. Her head cocked to the side as she looked at the girl with the big bowl of food, and sniffed the air again. The girl was someone she didn't know, however she would try to be civil enough in hopes she would share. Already made food was easier. "Excuse me, but would it be okay if I could have some of that? I'm starving," she said to the girl, her voice low with her Irish accent lilting it.
The scents of the others registered and she looked at the others, the teacher Karma and two little girls, one she recognized from the hangar meeting. One was new, and as peculiar looking as Lurai. Her head was still tilted as she looked at them, but she shortly looked away to again face the girl with food, awaiting an answer.

"Already begging for food Lurai? I thought you were all for scrounging for food on your own," Riker said entering the kitchen and stretching. He went to sleep since the other day when he delivered a message to Ember from HeartString. Well, it was more that he stayed in his room thinking about himself and how weird he was forcing himself to act just because he was in some new place. Riker wanted to fit in and settle, but it didn't feel right. He hadn't been true to himself at all. That stupid clown that told him about America was an idiot. People here are as mean as can be and it doesn't matter how nice or sensitive you act, they can still be mean as hell. After a lot of self reflection, Riker decided to drop this act of being a cute sensitive wolf guy who read poetry to everyone. Sure he liked poems, but he never used to read them out loud. And that cute sensitive stuff got him no respect, he felt like he was going against everything he learned in his pack. Who the hell ever heard of a cute, sweet, and sensitive wolf? That's like a cuddly shark. Riker made a decision that from now on, he wasn't going to change for anybody. He was going to be true to his pack that raised him, more like his sister and start acting like the part wolf he really was instead of keeping the beast at bay all the time.
Riker smiled and grabbed a chair at the kitchen counter. "I heard something about cookies I think as I was coming down here. Sensitive ears and all," he said grinning at the cute blond eating a giant bowl of mac n' cheese. "It pays to have these ears. I can hear all the good stuff two rooms away," he said pointing to the long ears that rested against his black Fedora that he found in his room. It was his favorite hat, gave him that little extra.
"Hey were be the wee ones? I bet they wouldn't mind a bit of help from the local wolf bloke," Riker said with a grin at Karma as he grabbed a whole container of cold cuts from the fridge and began eating them one by one as he sat next to the blond and by his sister. "So when is everyone getting back? I know some people are missing cause I heard talk about the meeting all night, but I mean I can tell from the smell that this place is insanely empty," he said and had another couple of slices from the cold cuts. Wonder what happened t' that fit ice bird. Haven't seen her or Ember, who's a qweer bit o' skirt if I ever saw one. Haven't seen Shimmer either. I feel like a Fecky the Ninth after the way I acted the past few days. Don't think she'll like me all that much when I tell her I given up acting like a pansy for the sake of fitting in. Yes Riker's self reflection took him a long way, and he wasn't going to change himself for anyone anymore.

At least some students where willing enough to help make a welcome for those unfortunate students who where needed to face the dimension of Limbo. She desperately hoped they where all safe and well, despite their ages each and every one of them was a student and therefor in Xi'ans mind a child. Argue all they liked, to her they where children and the thought of their inexperienced selves having to combat in such a relm was frightening to say the least. Colossus was probably hit hardest with that particular relm; his poor sister, and now Shadowkat. For such a big strong man his poor heart had suffered so much in the past. Probably more than anyone in the school could ever try and imagine, she respected him for how strong he remained though for everyone else.
Bringing back her own thoughts, Xi'an thought to Pitors girlfriend, Kitty Pryde. A prior love intrest of her own. But methods of the heart where almost always painful and although the fairytale ending Karma had envisioned at the time with the pretty girl went sour when her feelings where admitted, the two remained close. Of course, certain close feelings never truely left a person and a part of her was always just a little jealous of Pitor each time she caught the two mutants wrapped in each others embrace. Though her mind never truely got over her, she knew well that if anyone deserved such a girl it was Colossus. He better than anyone was matched to the once timid girl. She had grown much like everyone else in their time at the school; once new and frightened, they all grew to become strong people; proud of who they where.
That was her hopes for everyone at this school. Emma always spoke about family values within the school, and each time it only made Xi'an think of each of the students in a way as her family, nieces and nefews, sons and daughters, cousins, brothers, sisters. All part of one large communal family that looked out for each other no matter what happened. Who riskes their own safety to protect that of another. These students had little idea how close they would become over time. Even though they squabbled and fought against each other as school children did; a family they would become and as it where, their time now would determine their effect on the world. Not one mutant on the earth that had gone through this academy had gone back to a lifestyle from which they came from. Whether they knew it or not, their time here made an impact on the world of the unsuspecting.
"I know, it's alright we're all worried about them. But you need to have faith in the others, they will come back; hopefully in one piece. But its never easy." She agreed, nodding her head gently at the bubbly student. The smile was easily kept up with Decay in how very full of life she was. Despite it being almost noon and apparently every slept in today, she looked awake and ready to take on the day. "Ember isn't at all mean, she knows what she's doing and it's unfortunate enough for anyone to be taken. She is an unfortunate student as well as the others who where taken. And as for those practises ... get used to it. You wait until you find out what your Physical Education teacher is like. Wolverine is not a force to be messed with, so you may as well take Embers training as practise for that." She said with a shake of her head. So many people complained about Logans lessons. Sometimes Xi'an wondered if there was any student if one that enjoyed the torturous and tiresom runs through the woods. Sometimes ending for half the day. These kids where in for a big suprise.
Being prompted about the baking again, she nodded slowly and returned to her search of the ingredients needed to get a move on at all. She would call the girls soon, for now let them rest and get ready to move. There was alot of baking to do. "Thats right, the Alpha Squadron, Shimmer, You and I are going to bake some delicious cookies for the teachers and students coming back, maybe some brownies if we have time too. But we'll need to get ourselves moving if we're to get any done. Let me see, there are over 40 of us to bake for. Oh dear, we really need to get a move on..." She mused, her brow knitting together gently as she mentally counted over the numerous heads of students, teachers and even visiting staff. They had one heck of a job ahead of them.
Thankfully, as if by pure luck, more students arrived to the kitchen. They would be hungry yes, but they weren't going to get away without helping. "Morning Puppy~Love, Morning Riff~Raff. Well. no thats not right. Good afternoon you two, late starters too i see. Get some lunch and find an apron, we're baking and don't think you're not going to help. We have a school to feed. Probably a very hungry bunch who're coming back today! So get yourselves moving." She said with a grin. Thanful to have more hands to the kitchen. Although she needed the three other girls to help to.
Walking toward the door and sticking her head out she let out a half yell for them, knowing that the mansion was nearly silent she would be heard. "Jenny! Lily! Torri! Hurry up we've got to hurry if we're going to be finished in time. Get changed and never mind about the cook book there is one here. Hurry up girls. Run, run run!" She couldn't help but laugh as she walked back into the kitchen and went straight for the sink. "Eat, and wash your hands. Come on. Cookies don't bake themselves, and where on earth did i put that baking soda!..."

Torri yawned as she half slid down the stairs from her dorm, having decided to just get dressed out of her pjamas and put on proper clothes; it was cold outside. That was why her lnetted skirt, leggins and leg warmers with neon green high tops and a bright band tee was not the cleverest choice. Who could blame the tired girl though, she needed to do some serious clothes shopping soon: her mum didn't really pay for her board god forbid clothes was an option. Still, the pink student rubbed her bleary eyes as she heard the call for her to hurry her butt up and get cooking. She didn't like baking, it was boring and everything got covered in goo. Waste of time really. "Im coming im coming im coming. No need to shout, jeese; im not deaf." She grumbled, raising a hand to her giant animalistic ears atop her head. A fumbled attempt at shape shifting while thinking of Riker. Stupid idea, but she didn't envision this ...
Waving unconsiously at the people already in the room, Shimmer went over to one of the empty counters and hoisted herself up onto it with little effort. Stupid long legs. Took the fun out of everything. "Why can't i just you know ... lay the table or something i dunno. Seriously, i'll burn the cookies, the oven will explode and i seriously don't think more food on the walls would make anything better. Pleeeease don't let me bake." She pleaded, her voice still higher than normal from sleep but more attentive than before.
Thus bringing the red blush to stain her cheeks as she looked over at Riker by the other two. Lurai she knew by association, but the other she had not been introduced to. And she wasn't prepared fully to take on another person right now. Her trust in her team leader took alot out of her and she didn't want another person to have to think about. "H-hey Riker..." She mumbled, raising a hand to pull her hair over her face like she normally did when embarassed. She would have been more cheerful to see him was she not utterly ashamed of her mess of a shape shift. It was an insult to anyone who had ever been a shapeshifter to see how bad she was. She was pink after all. Going from pale white skinned with red and white streaked hair and normal eyes to just ... rose tinted skin, baby pink eyes and equally pink hair. It was just wrong.

Stepping into the doorway of the kitchen Stoney took a glance at the wall. Chocolate wall, well he knew who'd been here earlier. Kelly Burns tended to leave his mark wherever he went. Stoney had come down ready to help out with the Alpha Squad and their baking fun, but didn't expect to see so many other faces. Younger kids, all of them and he nodded slightly at them as he walked to the refrigerator and opened the cabinet high above it. He had heard the frantic fluttering in Karma's voice and thought she would certainly need his help, he always loved to help her with her Alphas.
"Baking soda ma'am." he said as he pulled down the ingredients and bowls from high atop the shelves. He himself had put it up there along with the extra flour and a bag of sugar last time he had baked some cookies. It was after all, the safest place to prevent Calorie from doing his famous 'sugar into salt trick' and Stoney hated that trick. He hated that trick as much as he liked to bake cookies, and that was quite a lot. He didn't care either what anyone said about it. He was a big guy and he loved his cookies, and nobody would dare tease him about that, not even his team captain and best friend Norrison, the Hellion known as Inflict.

Her ears twiched as she heard the familiar sound of her brother's approach to the kitchen. She could smell him coming, too. Lurai rolled her eyes at Riker as he spoke to her, but she smirked a little, a glint of her shiny, sharp white teeth could be caught when looked at. By the way he was dressed, and the way he was acting, she knew she had her real brother back. She knew all along how he had been acting too pleasant around everyone. It was just an act, really. This was really him, and because of it he had always been the more sociable of the two, the best of both wolf and human worlds, if you will. She still had things to learn in dealing with people and their customs. At least now, she could relax a little while around her brother in public.
When he grabbed the cold cuts from the refrigerator, she could smell the meat slices. It was a lot more appetizing than the macaroni and cheese stuff, and her smirk grew more toothy as she swiped the container from Riker. "There, I scrounged food from you, all by myself," she said, picking up a couple slices at once in her hand and taking big bites of them. "Cookies?" she asked while chewing, looking a little confused. "Baking? What is that? And where did everyone go?" she asked the teacher Karma. She was well aware that the school was nearly empty, but she had little idea where everyone went. She didn't bother to tune in to overhear conversations. It was then she wondered where Kyle went; surely he would be here for food. Boys loved food, male wolves did. Human males were probably no different.
Hearing more footsteps Lurai continued eating the meat slices in her hands and picked up more as she eyed the newcomers. One was that girl, Shimmer. She looked different, but smelled the same. Almost catlike she looked, and her head once again tilted to the side in curiousity. Was that supposed to be a mockery of what she and Riker was? She looked extremely shy, even around Riker. She knew they were together, otherwise she wouldn't have smelled them on each other the other night. Lurai wondered how she would take getting to know her brother's real personality. The other that came in was an older, burly guy who seemed to be quick to help out Karma. He quickly lost her interest, though, as she resumed focusing on eating. She didn't necessarily want to help out. She wouldn't be of use as she had no idea what cookies were, let alone how to make them.
Lurai must have been hungrier than she thought, as by the time she felt herself full enough there was maybe two slices left in the container. She ate them anyway. Leaving the container on the kitchen counter, she wiped her hands on her pants and for now just stood and watched while everyone seemed to fuss over cookies.

"Don't back-chat young lady! You're not the only person in this house and as part of this school you do what your teachers tells you now move and get an apron on!" Karma said to the young Acolyte. There was work to be done and little time to do it in. Given the time it was now there wouldn't be much space of time between now and the students and teachers coming back. This was one of the times when Xi'an was thankful for the multiple cookers and ovens needed to cater for an entire school community. Some of which needed certain requirments. Looking to Lurai she tried to answer quickly, her search for baking soda not yet solved. "Yes, Baking. cookies, cakes, brownies, bread ... they're all baked. It's like cooking, but different. You need to use special ingredients like the baking soda i cannot find!. Otherwise everything is flat instead of light fluffy and yummy. Cookies are the exception though, they're meant to be flat. Thats why we put no self-raising flour in it. If we did i don't even want to think of what we'd make. Knowing this house it could cause mayhem!" She sighed.
"Everyone else is gone out to retrieve students Lurai. If you had attended that meeting last night you would know about it, but just know that we where lowered in numbers before when students and teachers where taken to a Dimension called Limbo. More went to find the, and both Colossus and Rogue have taken others to fetch new students to the school. okay?" With a small huff of breath she raised a hand to her head and rubbed it over her eyes slowly before looking over at the large figure of the always welcome face in the kitchen. "You're a sight for sore eyes right now Stoney. Come to help bake with us? The girls will be down in a second; probably still looking for that cook book i have here. But never the less..." She cut herself short as she was handed the tin of baking soda, her face relaxing instantly. "I knew someone'd put it away safely, thank you dear. Always the help i need." She said with a grateful smile before turning to her 'troops' "Right everyone. We have over 80 cookies to bake before everyone gets back. Aprons on, hands washed, long hair back and start mixing the dough. No eating the dough! We need everything we can get together. So come on." She waved her hands at the figures around her, knowing she'd need to supervise most of them.
"Chester, do you want to just get started, you know what we're doing. Chocolate chip cookies, everything is now out i think; the book is on the counter too if you need it and we're fine set. OH! Wait let me put the ovens on!" She said, rushing to the large machines and fiddling the switches and setting each to preheat before the trays which where sitting inside them where filled with cookie dough and set to bake. This was as close to a mission today as she hoped to get. Everyone simply needed to wind down when the others came back. Sit and eat a nice meal. "Trays are in the oven, greaseproof paper in the packets along the back. I'll come and help at that point-" She hurried to fix on her apron which had been hung up by the wall with all the others before hurrying back and heading into the lower cupboards for mixing bowls and measuring scales and jugs. "-For now just follow what the books say for chocolate chip. Decay! Help by getting the pages right: you seem to look like you know what you're doing." She said, a grin forming on her lips again.
Going back to the door she called out again in the hopes of getting more help from other remaining students. "Right! All whose left! Hurry down here, we need extra hands for baking and don't think i won't come up there if you don't come here. There are less of you now so i know how many are left!" Her voice carried through the deserted corridors and hallways much like a mother calling her children to wake up in the morning before school. In a way she felt like she was their mother, but at that moment in time she just needed hands. "Lily! Jenny! I have the book now hurry up or we'll be started before you get down. There isn't alot of time and alot to be done. Come on girls. Everyone else, up and atom! Come on, you all got ten minutes to be dressed and down here. That means you Hellions too, don't think you're getting out of this!" She called again, getting louder by the word. How could such a small thing as baking cookies get her so wound up.
"Right everyone, lets start. Measure out -" She reached for one of the numerous books littering the work tops. "-100 grams of white sugar and 75 grams of brown sugar into the mixing bowls. I'll melt the butter for you all. Then put the amount i give you in with the sugar. Lets get started!"

It wasn't that much longer when the movie finally ended. Of course, Lily wanted it to go on and on, or even just watch another movie, but the idea of making cookies and eating them was a much more fun idea. She sat and lingered even when the ending credits came on and watched them, almost entranced when they scrolled up the screen, but was quickly snapped out of it when she heard Karma yelling for her, Jenny, and anyone else.
She jumped up and giggled, taking flight and zooming towards the kitchen. "COMINGGGGG!" she sang aloud as she started chanting, "Cookies, cookies, cookies!" She reached the kitchen and saw a whole bunch of people in there already. Lily flew to Karma and raised her hand. "I'm here!" she announced, hovering over Karma's head. "What can I do? Can I lick the bowl?" she asked giggling, excited to help make cookies.

Sky smirked at the hot wolf guy next to her, eating a big spoonful of her meal. "Sensitive ears huh? Pretty handy I gotta say. Like your hat," she said with a flirtacious smile she held her big bowl close to her and gave both the two wolf twins a pointed look. "Hey, I need my food! You both gotta outweigh me by like 50 pounds each. Or at least 20 for Wolf chick here. I need all the fat I can get!" Sky said with a laugh. In truth, she just had an extremely fast metabolism and a tiny bone structure despite her height. She was halfway done with her meal as it was, and she was still hungry for more. Sky glanced at the really really tall girl that came in and just hopped on the kitchen table right by her food. "Hey chickie not so close to my food there. I like my food butt-free," she said holding her bowl close to her and then scooping up the last of it into her mouth.
"Crimity what is with all these people in here? Is this place always so crowded? Hey cool with me I'm up for a little gathering," Sky said grabbing her bowl and putting it in the dish washer. She glanced over at the wolf twin and smiled. "Name's Skyler. You can call me Sky. And I for one am really in the mood for some cookies. Chocolate chips anyone?" she said holding up a bag of chocolate chips she found in the cupboard. "Oops. Never mind these are peanut butter chips," Sky said with a giggle.
Her head flipped around when she heard a little girl's voice and saw a little girl with pink hair flying around. "Ok you are just too totally cute. It's like a little Tinkerbell! Oh man that is just too cool!" Sky said excitedly and set the peanut butter chips on the counter. "Hey Big guy, can you hand me that bowl on the top shelf please? I can make some really good icing for the cookies," she asked the really big guy that came into the room and got the sugar from the top shelf. She loved baking and pastries and cookies were her favorite to make. "Oh damnit!" Sky cried as the spoon she held in her hand disintegrated into nothing but dust. "I hate it when that happens. I need to calm down," she muttered and grabbed another spoon.

Jenny ran in after Lily holding Roger in her arms. She had ran in dressed in her overalls jean dress and a warm blue sweater.Blue is the best, on the count that it's my favoritest color, she thought and stopped in the kitchen to look at everyone with big wide eyes. "I'm here Karma I'm here. I just hads to change outta my pajamas cause I didn'ts want them to be dirty," Jenny said and struggled to climb up on a stool so she could sit at the kitchen counter.
She tossed Roger on top of the counter and then climbed carefully on top of it. "Can I mold the dough Karma? I likes play-doh and I'm good at its," Jenny said and bounced excitedly in her seat. She looked at the other kids, except Shimmer and the Wolf people with a wary look. Big kids are mean and stupid, she thought with frown and looked down at Roger and patted his head. "Karma can I gets a glass of chocolate milk pwease?" Jenny asked Karma politely.

Riker rolled his eyes at his sister and went back to the fridge to grab another pack. "So much for being independent," he said and pulled on her ear before sitting on the other side of Sky. He opened up the container and popped a couple of more slices in his mouth. Riker glanced at Shimmer when she sat on the counter and raised his eyebrows at the tall girl. "Hey Shimmer, you look very... pink today. New trend I didn't hear of or something?" he said with a smirk. Since when is she all timid around me? Ah feck it, probably thought it over stuff and decided it's done. Better for me, won't have to bother and wait around for her to get used to me. Riker shrugged and turned back to the cute blond. A wee bit on the skinny side, but she got enough t' make me look. He snickered a bit at Sky's comment and shook his head. "Butt-free food? Ain't that what we all want?" Riker said with a more wolfish grin than he ever had. "And aye, your right lass. Sensitive ears are a very handy thing to have. More ways than one. Now the only question remains, how sensitive be your own ears?" he asked with a growing smirk and a wink as he dipped his hat low over his eyes, flirting back without a care.
His eyebrows raised up when the big guy came in with the little ones. "Ello' there Jenny. Who be this wee little one you brought with you?" Riker said pointing to the raggedy yellow stuffed rabbit she was petting. He smiled sincerely at the adorable little girl, and looked over at the one that flew in. "Well lookie here, Sky I reckon your right. We got ourselves a wee Fairy in our presence. You gonna bless us all little one?" he said with a smile as he finished off the large box of cold cuts that he shoveled in his mouth without shame.
"Do I have to bake cookies? I think I rather leave that to these capable lovelies and be the official taste tester. I like tasting... and testing things," Riker said with a sidelong glance at Sky with a smirk on his face. He glanced quickly at his twin and grinned full on. It was good to feel like himself again.

Stoney grumbled indistinctly although someone with ears like Riker would have heard him say "lovelies huh?" under is breath as he turned around and opened up the fridge. He pulled out the milk for the cute little blond girl and shut the door. Reaching up with his other hand he pulled down the stack of mixing bowls from the cabinet above the refrigerator.
He moved well in the kitchen for such a large fellow. He had spent lots of time helping his mother to cook when he was younger, back home on their farm and so any chance he got to spend time in the kitchen he truly enjoyed. It took him back to simpler days before Emma had come to take him away. He was glad to be here now one of the good guys, even though he was one of the bad guys here, if not by his own actions he was guilty by association.
Placing the bowls down he deftly spun back around and got a glass down from another cabinet as he reached out his foot and hooked the toe of his shoe under the handle for a lower cabinet. Shutting the cabinet full of glasses with his elbow he placed the glass in his hand with the gallon of milk he had dangling from his pinky finger. He bent down and pulled out the powdered cocoa mix and then seeing the strawberry powder mix he grabbed it too.
Standing as his heel whipped around to shut the lower cabinet he stepped over to the little Alpha girl and smiled as he put the powder mix containers down before her along with her glass and poured her some milk. Reaching into a drawer he produced a spoon for her and looked as if he was going to say something, but he didn't he just popped open both containers and left the spoon there for her to decide as he sealed up the milk and put it away.
He didn't like to frighten, and he knew what he looked like to little kids. Plus after last night's display by his team mates he was sure he had a long mountain to climb to win their trust, but chocolate milk was a treat and strawberry milk even more so, and he hoped it would delight her. Chester was a big guy, but his heart was bigger than his muscles and he didn't do what he did for any other reason than it made him feel good.
