Sean had set up Kate in the suit that they had worked on for their project. He had to do all the adjustments while she was wearing it so it would fit snug and she wouldn't injure herself. Unfortunately, the kept him from paying as close attention to Ian and Gavin's project as he would have liked. He got the last part of it and had to laugh, nudging Kate to watch the boys fool around with their project. "They sure look like they had loads of fun with their project huh?" Sean whispered to her and then walked a little closer to her to see Ember and Stoney's project. Theirs was something even beyond his wild imagination. "Wowee, startin' a fire with water? Did ya ever think somethin' like that was possible?" He asked Kate with wide eyes looking at the pretty colored fire with wide eyes. Ain't no surprise that its an amazing project. Aideen is definitely one of the smartest girls I ever met, though I reckon she don't like me much. Ian said she don't like anyone much and to not take it personally, so I believe him. Wowee though, that sure is a pretty color, Sean thought watching the presentation in awe.
When Rumble came up though, Sean looked away disgusted. It made him sick how a guy could treat a lady like that, especially in a world where there weren't as much true ladies. Though all girls should be treated with respect, a lady especially. Aideen was a true lady if he ever saw one and she did not deserve that sort of harassment from Rumble. The guy was as a sorry excuse for a true man in his opinion, a true men would never treat a woman like that. When he insulted Haven, Sean had to look up and brace himself. One the things he learned from him mother and sisters was that you never call a girl heavy, whether it be true or not. It was just plain rude and vain for a man to say that. "Oh boy I got a feeling this ain't gonna end well at all Katie girl, not well at all," he said when he heard the laughter from others.
He walked back to his station and heaved a sigh as he readjusted their poster board with all the research they did. Sometimes, Sean just couldn't believe the people in this school and how they treated one another, but he supposed it was just how people were. He didn't like it one bit.

It took all of Veronika's willpower to not burst out laughing at Rumble's comment. Instead she put her hand over her mouth to keep her laughter from escaping and made her face look picturesque perfection of shocked. Oh FINALLY! Someone can look at that freakish low class whore with clear eyes. Her abnormally large behind badly needs some inches shed off. Anyone and I would have to say FEET instead. It is the curse of being a low life Spanish woman from Mexico or Puerto Rico or wherever. They are all the same anyways. Oh it is time like this that I just hate keeping up this image. I can barely hold back my laughter. A dainty cough escaped Veronika's cute face and she then hiccuped, probably from trying very hard to not laugh.
"Oh*hic* excuse me!" She said daintily to everyone, still retaining her perfect little shocked face as she turned to walk back to her desk and grab her bottle of water that she kept in her bag. Veronika took a sip of it and turned away from everyone, she had to smile at Frostbite's blatant laughter at Rumble's comments. Oh she is doing just what I would love to do. Perhaps she is not as horrid as I initially thought. Her hair is still horrible, but now that she is not hanging on Ian's arm she is much more acceptable in her behavior. Perhaps it will be a lot of use to me to have her on my team... The girl has potential, and this is far too funny. Turning her head just enough so she could catch Frostbite's eye, Veronika waited till Kevin and no one else was looking before she smirked at the blue haired girl. It was the first time that she ever smirked in public, and the malicious smirk on the pretty petite girl's face. It was a smirk of approval, and it was for no one to see but Frostbite.
It is not like anyone would believe her if she did say something, but I will not ever be accused of not giving people a second chance. Anyone who hates that wretched excuse for a human being as much as I do if not more is certainly worthy of that chance from me. The smirk that twisted up Veronika's face into a look of evil for that moment fell, back to her old facade. No one but Frostbite saw that side of Veronika that no one would suspect she had, and for a while no one else will. Sweet and adorable as ever, she walked back to Heather with the same concerned look on her face, her lovely sapphire eyes wide and had a look of wonderment to them.

Ian's eyes narrowed at the sound of Rumble's voice, though he wasn't surprised that the asshole couldn't keep his mouth shut. He tensed eight up and his hand formed a fist on Niki's hip, but his girl set the guy straight. Ian laughed under his breath slightly, his face still screwed up in a glare. He needs to leave Spitfire the freak alone. I'm keeping my mouth shut, Niki's right about Spitfire not needing anyone to protect her. She can handle herself, but damn do I wanna permanently rearrange his face so no damn machine can fix it... he seethed in his head. It then took a lot of his willpower to not turn around and throw Rumble out the window for having the nerve to say anything about how his girl looked.
"You know, I'm kinda digging that I got something to grab back there. Keep eating them rice and beans babe, and share some with me. I don't wantcha to lose you assets," he said with a wink and gave her a smack right on her ass, winking at her. "It's nice to have something that looks that good to grab," Ian added loudly and looked back at Lorelai with a dark look. "Man what did I ever see in that bitch?" were the next surprising words that came from Ian's mouth before he could stop them. No matter how mad he was, he never called any girl a bitch cause that ain't polite and it wasn't how he was raised. Right then, it was the only thing he could think of when he saw his ex fawning over that waste of space and laughing at something said about her former teammate.
Ian shook his head and turned back to Niki, giving her a curious look. "Whaddaya mean she got her hands full?" he asked as it clicked in his head what his girl said earlier. "If its got anything to do with that asshole, I'm pounding him," Ian said with another glare in that direction. Man I hate him.

Kitty's mood only got more cheery when she went with the others to see Stoney and Aideen's project. As she expected it to be it was more than exceptional, with a good explanation and even better show. To create fire from a reaction with water and chemicals was simply brilliant, and it really gave the students the ability to say they could pull it off. She nodded as they spoke, and smiled while they presented. When they finished, she had just been about to comment like Wolverine had been about to do when Rumble spoke. Her happy mood went down a little at how ridiculous he was. It was obvious to everyone but him that she wanted nothing to do with him; she had heard about the things that had happened with him and was well aware of the restraining order against him.
When he commented about Haven and had Frostbite burst out laughing she couldn't help shooting them both a glare as she had a feeling it could very well disrupt the class if someone didn't keep their cool. "Quiet, the both of you!" she told them sharply before hearing Wolverine's short comment about the project. A smile came back on her face when he showed her that he approved, and then gave her own input. "Very well done, it was explained well and proved a concept that would probably seem impossible to most, but not anymore! Great job, you two," she told them with another smile and a thumbs up. She then looked to Hank and Bobby to see what they would say. Kitty had no doubt that they would both like it a lot.

Ember and Stoney's project did not disappoint Dr. McCoy's high expectations, in fact the exceeded them. Ember had a commanding presence that made everyone around her enthralled by her soft and clear voice. She led them through the steps in a logical and thorough manner that covered all the basis and more. He watched the dangerous experiment with his face mask secured with interest and fascination. He also noted their neat poster board and saw notes in both Ember's impeccably neat handwriting and Stoney's very blunt penmanship. If anyone in this school would be able to engage a young man who shied away from learning it would be Ember. And I am quite pleased with the outcome, he said in his head and clapped along with the others when they completed their presentation.
Rumble of course was the first to speak before anyone could get a word in edgewise. "Mr. Van Alstyne, I believe I gave you a very clear warning that I was not going to tolerate this kind of disruption in my class. Try it again, and I will personally escort you to see Cyclops where you may waist the rest of your afternoon watching the video on sensitivity training. If you waste my time I will waste yours," Hank said with a tone of finality. He wasn't kidding either, he had enough. It tore at him when he saw anyone being harassed on a constant basis. Ember had come so far from when she first arrived, and she was prevented from developing further because her guard was always up. The school was meant to be a haven for everyone, a place where they didn't have to be on guard all the time and come here to relax. Rumble was robbing that pleasure from Ember and Beast was through standing for it in any way. "As for the rest of you, let's leave the hostile displays and machismo behavior for the playground shall we?" Hank gave the others a stern look, including Diesel and Frostbite. He did not want a fight to break out on this day.
"Ms. Whelan, Mr. Williams, you have both impressed me very much. I must confess I was a bit hesitant to allow the use of the chemicals, but you took every safety precaution and performed the experiment spectacularly. What more can I say other than to congratulate you on an excellent job and to express how proud I am of you both. You picked a project that was far above your level and had a great deal of chemistry involved, but can be applied to more than one substance," Dr. McCoy said obviously proud of the two upperclassmen. He ripped out the grading sheet and handed them a copy with a big red solid A+ on it. "Congratulations again you both," he said with a beaming smile.
"Alright next we have... Ms. Tapas and Ms. Reyes!" Hank announced moving on to the two other upperclassmen. He walked with the other teachers to their next Hellion and Corsair pair. Machete had her high tech laptop out and it looked like they were in store for a simulation project. "Alright ladies, please begin your presentation."

Kevin waited until the room settled back down and peoples voices were more back to whispers among theirselfs and then he looked over at his partner. He saw her with different eyes then and he didn't like the look. It was like a vail had been pulled aside and he saw clearly. "You are changing." he said softly under his breath but to her so she could hear his whispers.
"I don't think I like who your becoming." he was sure that he didn't. It was really clear that Loralie was not the same girl who he had come to be friends with, and he did not want to be thought of as someone who was a fair whether friend, but he saw nothing but an evil storm on the horizon when he looked at Frostbite. "Foregetting to help me is just one thing, but I'm cool with that. What I don't care for is you turning into some lackey for that guy. Sure he's cute and I see your eyes all over him- don't for a second think I missed that- believe me my eyes have been having a party over there too. But I don't like who you're turning into because of him."
Kevin glanced over to look at Brock and for a second wondered what he would do and the depths he would stoop to to ingrashiate himself with the Hellion. He knew he'd probubly let the guy do whatever he wanted to him once he had him, but he wouldn't grovel and slither in the shit he was spewing just for a chance to catch his eye. His best friend was gone, in her place was some weird look-a-like who behaved like some attention whore and slutted her ass around in front of him kissing his cheek and kissing his ass.
"So I think I'm gonna spend some less time with you until you decide who you really want to be. We'll finish this project together and then you do what you want because I can't watch you do-" he looked at her and made a slight face of disgust "-whatever this is your doing, for him or anybody else. I thought you were made of stronger stuff than this but you'r just a puppet and I don't like whos pulling the strings." He went back to finishing the set up of his part of the project and let his emotions settle for now.

As well as Aideen's project went, it seemed that her moment of pride was always dampened by Rumble who never seemed to be far away. This time was different though and as much as she hated it admit it, she felt a bit unnerved by the way he spoke to her. She would never let it show, never one to show a weakness. Most people didn't know her well enough to know that she was as unnerved as she was, and that worked in her favor. She let out a small breath and nodded at Beast and the others, allowing a small smile to play on her lips just to show that she was thankful for the grade and the comments. Despite how unnerved she was, Aideen couldn't keep the brief sparkle from her eyes when they briefly met Logan's warm blue eyes that made her heart speed up even with the professional military act they were both putting up.
Last night after practice, Aideen had a chance to think clearly about a lot of things and sort of reflect on it. Rumble was a thorn in her side, that was obvious enough and she wanted nothing to do with him. She had dealt with him for months now, and she could deal with more. Recently, it had gotten harder and harder for her to control her actions with him. Aideen was not a killer, she never killed someone out of malice or hate or revenge. She was simply a carefully cultivated human weapon, that was raised to do as she was told whether she liked it or not. Her Uncle put her to good use, using her as the weapon he made her to be to end the lives of whoever displeased him or got in his way. Aideen did as she was told, but that didn't mean she liked it. It was how she started to cut off feeling anything when performing certain tasks. When she met Rumble, it was possibly the first time that she wanted to give into the urge to just rid of someone. He struck her more deeply than most people thought, and Aideen hated that he could do that to her. She hated how he looked at her, how he made saying her very name seem lewd and disgusting. Most of all, she hated that he had any effect on her at all. It might have been possible to kill him if she had been living under her Uncle's roof. He would have no issue disposing of a distraction from her training. That however was not possible here at the school though, the first place she could really ever call home. Aideen wouldn't be able to take disappointing Cyclops her leader who meant much more to her than many people outside her team would ever suspect, or Logan, though she was sure he wouldn't be all that torn up about it.
Logan was a whole other thing on her mind that had Aideen's mind all over the place. Even Niki couldn't miss the sparkles in her eyes last night or the small smile that didn't leave her face while she thought of him. It was odd for her to be so comfortable and so... happy with just one person. She was a complete stranger to just about any strong emotion, with an Uncle who made sure to keep their relationship professional and emotionless impressing on her to do the same to others. For a long time no matter who she met, Aideen always 'walked alone'. She let people in once in a blue moon, all times usually blowing up in her face. Physically though, she reached for anything that promised her a satisfaction without any fear of emotional attachment. There were several guys here and there but nothing that provoked an emotional reaction. With Logan though, well Aideen no longer felt like she was walking alone. The past months had been a battle for her, a fierce battle between her heart and mind. She didn't understand at first what was going on, actually thinking that there was something wrong with her. When it did click what she was feeling, it started a whole new battle. Logan was her friend, and a teacher on top of that and her head told her it was foolish to think of him as anything but that. With more time passing though, it was apparent even to Aideen how right things felt between them. It didn't feel odd or uncomfortable when any sort of physical contact was made, it felt good and right, natural even. Things sort of went slowly between the two of them, simple acts like hugging and him wrapping an arm around her when they walked together alone became natural. He tore down whatever guard she had built up to keep others out and yesterday when she woke up after their lunchtime nap with his arm wrapped around her and him snoring softly, Aideen had never felt so safe. It felt okay to not be the perfectly trained twisted image of a lady weapon that her Uncle made her, and for once just be herself and not worry about getting hurt or exposing a weakness.
That period of reflection only made the lightness in her heart shine brighter, to the point that not even Rumble could put it out. Unnerved as Aideen may have been from the new turn that Rumble took with her, it didn't dampen her newfound spirit. She looked right at Stoney and gave him a rare small true smile. She didn't need to tell him that she was proud of both of them and happy about the grade, she knew he'd get it. Aideen turned to Niki and walked up to her shaking her head slightly. "Don't let him bug you Niki. Let him talk, that's all he'll ever get. It's not like it's anything I can't handle," she said with a slight shrug. The sparkle came back in her dark eyes when she managed to discreetly catch Logan's eye one more time briefly before looking about at Haven. "It's not like that thing is man enough for me anyways. He can talk all he wants, but it won't change anything except further irritate me," Aideen said with a slight smirk. Glancing at Frostbite briefly, Aideen did nothing but roll her eyes and go over to help Stoney clean up their successful experiment.

Bobby watched with wide eyes Ember and Stoney's project. He had witnessed many bizarre things in his life, people coming back from the dead, even actually saw a body that have been blown to smithereens reassemble itself, but seeing a fire started with water? Na... really? Oh man that's awesome! Bobby had no problem voicing the thoughts either. "Heh go figure, if anyone was going to make a miracle its the 'hottest' girl in school and the Rock," he said, laughing at his bad puns and grinning good naturally at the two of them.
Rumble's interference did lessen the mood, but not by much since Hank put him in his place. Bobby just shook his head to him, his mood becoming more somber. There is no getting through to that guy, he thought sadly. He liked to try and find something to relate to with all the students, but Rumble he just couldn't get through too. That guy was evil, pure and simple. Not the kind of creepy that Shade was, but just a conscienceless being with no regard for anything in life but being amused at all costs.
Bobby looked at Kitty and shrugged with a sad half smile at the whole thing. Rumble was on a bad path, and he hated the thought that there was a possibility that he'd have to fight one of his own students in the future. He put a happy face right back on for everyone, always being very good at masking his emotions and using humor to channel them. "Alright, more of my favorites!" Bobby exclaimed at the joke since he claimed everyone was his favorite one way or another. "Rose, don't pierce us with them thorns of yours. Yea thats right we all know you got em'," he said with a wink and looked to the Corsair. "Ariel! Are there sparks flying between us or is it just you?" he added with a laugh and then looked eagerly at the high tech project. "Lets see what you girls got."

Chester was pleased to make a great grade. It was the best mark he'd gotten in Beast's class ever and he owed it all to Ember. She smiled at him, and he knew it was for real. He smiled back at her and as Brock's words ran through the air with sneaky ninja edges sharp as daggers in the night his smile faded. It bothered Chester then, more than ever before for some reason. Rumble, who had once made Stoney laugh at the expense of others was just not that funny anymore.
He thought about it for a second and he realized why. It seemed now that he counted Aideen as a true friend and it hurt him to see her in distress if even slightly. She and Chopper and himself had become the three musketeers or the three amigos, or was it the three lone rangers or... whatever it was Stoney was beginning to understand he had merit and worth aside from being the battering ram of his team of Hellions. He had come to see himself as worthy of true friendship...and it was good.

Katie smiled at Sean as he belted her into the contraption they had devised. It was all his making but it had been her idea to start with, at least that was what TuneUp had told her. She had made one little comment and then his mind sparked into action. It was an amazing thing to witness.
"Yeah, whoda thunk it? I never would have thought you could start fire with water, seems like an impossible thing, but they did it. Looks like fun, yup...but we had a blast with ours too." she grinned at her boyfriend stretching out her neck to try and give him a kiss but he was just out of reach.
"Far as I'm concerned that guy can have whatever he's got coming to him, you reap what you sow and he's done more than just plant seeds of animosity...he's cultivated them, hell of a crop evil is. Grows like a weed...I should know." she stretched a little more as he finished buttoning her up into their project and she groaned a little. "Kiss me goofy, I can't reach."

Rose had just finished laughing right along with Lorelai at Brock's rather astute comment on the albino. She wiped the tears of laughter that formed at the corner of her eyes and blinked them back. Her mood at having to leave that warm bed to come to class improved, that comment making it all worth it. "Okay I'm alright now," Rose said and automatically went to her computer, her small slim fingers moving rapidly across the keyboard with a quick TAT TAT TAT heard by all close by.
She gave Iceman a flirtatious wink right back, never being one to turn down a little game with another. Rose may be a strictly one man kinda girl, but she still could flirt around to weave it all into her little game. "Our project related to the effects on electricity to different types of water and the danger level in each of them. Using tests with Hotwire's powers on pure mineral water, ocean water and fresh lake water, we made a simulation of what would happen to a person if they were in each of those waters. I'm going to show the reactions using the simulation, and the Hotwire will give a small sample of the reaction in each type of water and explain why some are stronger than others," Rose began in a purely professional voice.
The simulation then began, a holographic electric looking scene materializing in front of them with a scene of a man in a small body of water. "This is an average male, six feet tall about 190lbs standing in pure mineral water. Watch the reaction of the lightning striking him," she said and pressed a button, making a bolt of lightning appear in the image and hit the man. The lightning hit him hard, making him thrash and show shots of his skull, completely and utterly frying him. "As you see that reaction was deadly and hard."
The holographic image moved right to the next slide, showing the same man standing in a lake. "This is the same man in a fresh water lake. Observe how the lightning hits him now," Rose said and pressed a key, making the lightning hit him with the same force as before. All it did though was make him stiff and give him an Albert Einstein meets Don King hairstyle. "He was still effected, but no where near as hard as in pure water. Now let's move onto the reaction in Ocean water." The slide changed to that man in an ocean now. Pressing the key for the reaction, Rose watched with the teachers as the man got the same dose of the lightning, making him stiffen and obviously shock him, but he was still alive by the end of it. "Though he felt the shock as well, it was a reaction in between the pure mineral water and fresh lake water," Rose finished her part and looked at Hotwire expectantly. She planned on getting an A and moving on with her life, as long as the Corsair did her part right.

With the disruption courtesy of Rumble, Ariel found herself irked but she refused to let herself get too annoyed by it. Her consolation was having watched Aideen and Stoney's awesome project and then getting to present her own. When Iceman spoke she let out a small laugh and smirked playfully at him. "Sparks? There are fireworks going on around here," she answered and then let Machete do her part of the presentation.
"All of that was our hypothesis, but after doing actual tests both for this class and outside of it, we've come to the conclusion that it was actually backwards in the way we thought it originally to be. See here, the pure water. Crystal clear and nothing in it. Watch what happens," she said while holding a hand over the container with the pure water with an apple in it. She let a small arc of electricity go into the water, where -ZzaP!- the apple was barely affected. "Then observe with what looks like very dirty water. What makes it look so dirty is particles of sand, salt and other minerals floating around in it. Watch what happens to the apple now," she said, and then sent another small jolt of electricity -ZZaAP!- into that container, where the apple seemed somewhat fried and even smoking a little, sporting little scorch marks.
"The difference is because of what is or isn't in the water. When a lot of sand, salts, or minerals are in water it makes it a great conductor of electricity. The reason why is because the electricity has plenty of things to conduct itself through, thus making whatever is sitting in the water that much more affected. When the water has absolutely nothing in it there is nothing for the electricity to conduct itself through, so pretty much it just goes through the water and causes little effect. And then of course there is the median of the waters. Partially impure water deals only part of the damage," Ariel explained, holding her hand over the third container of water and sending a last small jolt into it -ZzAP!-. The apple was only somewhat affected, proving what she had just said.
"Because of actually trying it out we learned our original hypothesis was wrong, but at least we know why it is. Pretty much the dirtier the water, the more dangerous it is to be in while lightning is present. Of course, I doubt we'd be that crazy to go swimming in the lake during a thunderstorm," Ariel said with a small laugh, even though she knew she was probably one of the only people without a healing factor who could walk away from that since it just went right through her. "And that is our project," she concluded with a pleasant smile for the teachers, satisfied with thinking that the presentation went down pretty damn well.

Brock smirked only wider when he was back in his seat, his gaze had left Aideen, passing briefly over the albino. Lorelai and Rose were having as much fun as he was and Lorelai apparently really appreciated it. His cold gazed moved over the Paragon to study her briefly, in his head deciding if she might be a fun new toy to pass time as he wore his prize down. She'd be an amusing little toy... yea I can do that. My prize is already having a hard time resisting, but my girl is a stubborn one. She ain't gonna break anytime soon and I can always use something on the side. I just might... Brock weighed the options in his head as he blatantly stared at Lorelai, looking over her body and deeming it acceptable in his eyes. Though he had little if any morals, Brock had standards for the women he toyed with. If they didn't meet up to them, they were either ignored or tormented depending on how much amusement was in it for them.
At the moment though, Brock was having a lot of fun getting all the teachers riled up. Brock had no doubt that Beast was serious about the threat, but Brock could really care less if he was. Spending his afternoon bothering Cyclops could probably be more fun than bothering these teachers. They all had an affinity for his pretty prize, and who could blame them. She was the all around star student, which is expected since he wouldn't pick a prize that wasn't smart. Wolverine was probably the most fun to piss off. The teacher known for his erratic and dangerous temper trying desperately to hold it in whenever Brock started on Aideen was just hilarious to witness. He had to give it to Scary Hairy, he kept it at bay pretty well this whole time, only slipping up in gym. Brock planned on pushing as many buttons as possible to see what it would take to cross that thin line, even if at the expense of waiting a little longer to his prize under his thumb or roughing up that pretty face of hers. The reactions of others were just too funny.
"Whatever ya say Fuzzy," Brock called out and moved his glance back to the Ice girl. "Hey Nursey, you gotta come with me to change my bandages after class. Better get that uniform," he said with a deep smirk that made it hard to determine if he was serious or not. Right now he was having a good time amusing himself and pissing off the people around him. He paid little attention to Machete and Hotwire's project, his attention only moving to the two of them to survey them from behind and compare them in his mind. Despite the bruised and fractured ribs, life was just too funny for Brock to be down about anything.

The next project was more than incredible. Heather wasn't surprised that it had to do with fire since Aideen was a fire bender and all. However having it derive from water made her question her own element. I need to do some more research, she joked to herself. After the presentation, Heather clapped along with the crowd. She was happy that Aideen was back to normal and everything. Heather could remember how robotic and just alone the Paragon seemed. But once she got back from LIMBO and actually CRIED in Wolverine's arms, Aideen was back to her old self.
Heather's clapping slowed when Rumble opened his stupid big mouth. The guy was just scary as hell and the New Mutant didn't want to deal with any part of him. It was a shame that he was so into Aideen (then again almost all of the guys in the school were), but Rumble overdid it way too much. The weird thing about him opening his mouth THIS time, was that he wasn't as gross or immature as he usually was. Instead he was supportive and actually giving her tasteful compliments. It was scarier than what he usually did and Heather couldn't help but look to Ian and Haven to see what their reaction was.
She then looked to Gavin and noticed the new girl was really starting to bug her. God, keep your legs closed will you? she though bitterly. Heather wasn't one to judge people right off the bat unless they did something directly to her. But the new girl was really digging a bigger hole for herself in Heather's book. It was then that she felt Veronika's nudge, and she looked to her best friend with annoyed eyes. The annoyance was clearly towards Katlyn and Heather bit her lip. I don't want to feel like this again, she told herself. Crushes are so stupid. However it was more than a crush that Heather had for her best friend. She was in denial and wouldn't admit that she actually liked him quite a lot. Unfortunately her previous interest in Ian made her be way more wary in controlling her feelings.
Her attention was distracted again when Rumble kept insulting Haven, one diss after the other. Now Heather wasn't fond of Haven at all, and couldn't believe that the teachers didn't give her a harsher punishment when she tried to basically KILL everyone in the school. But Heather trusted Ms. Frost and assumed that the headmistress was able to see something the water manipulator couldn't. When Lorelai started laughing, Heather bit her lip again and sighed. This didn't look good at all and was starting to think a fight would break out. Haven was known for letting her temper get the best of her, and Ian wasn't one to be nice about everything anymore. Her eyes widened when Lorelai kissed Rumble on the cheek. WHAT THE freak?!?, she thought. Then Ian's response and comment about Lorelai was just even more shocking. Heather leaned against her and Veroinka's table and just stayed out of everything. She folded her arms and sighed, looking at the ball bounce back and forth in each opponents court as each spiteful word came out of their mouths.
The next presentation with Hotwire and Machete was actually very fascinating to Heather. She was learning more and more about her power than she thought she would. It was important to know how different types of water effected the conduction of electricity. Especially if someone had a similar power to Hotwire and was trying to use it against Heather. Guess I actually need to do more research. This stuff is really... wow. Her mellow mood was disrupted again when Rumble spoke. The teachers really need to cage him. He is nothing more than an animal anyway.

"A tour huh? How can I say no to that and then feel responsible when you get lost in this giant place? I'll see ya after class," Gavin whispered to Kat with a wink as the teachers graded the project. Kat seemed fun and he knew what it was like to be the new kid, so he wouldn't say no to that. Plus it gave him an excuse to pick her brain about this tattoo thing of hers. He had been thinking about getting another one for awhile, but didn't know what. All he knew is that it had to be a drawing of a sort, since the idea of a tattoo of just words kinda bugged him.
Now Gavin was a pretty cool and mellow guy, but he had enough with people giving his friends shit, particularly Haven. He may have not been around when she tried to blow everyone up, he only knew her the way she was when he met her and he liked the her that he did know. He was sick of people saying shit about her and making snide comments to call her a psycho, but for Rumble to say shit like that right to her crossed the line for him. He may not like the way the guy treated Ember, heck no decent guy would like that sort of thing, but damnit Niki was HIS friend and his teammate. Gavin was through letting people get away with saying shit about her or to her. He looked at Rumble with pure disgust. "Seriously waiting for you to say something smart is like putting a candle in the window for Jimmy Hoffa. You're one of those guys who's birth certificate is an apology from the god damn condom factory," he said in a tone of pure disgust. Gavin wasn't stupid, he knew the guy was dangerous, but not to Gavin while he was in the air. No one insulted his best friends, that was just not cool in any way.
He stayed at his place right by Ian and Niki and didn't move, glaring right at him for a moment longer. "Sorry Doc, I'll stop but that wasn't cool and I'm done keeping quiet," Gavin said apologetically to Beast when the girls finished their project. He knew Beast was trying to keep the peace, but he didn't want anyone thinking twice on whether or not he stood up for his team or his friends. Gavin was a cool guy and would always be pretty mellow. He didn't feel it was his place to say anything to the people that were here through the Limbo stuff and the attack of the Brotherhood, but in the here and now he was making it clear on his position. Ian and Niki were awesome teammates, and even cooler friends. He got along with them best on his team and willingly tied his loyalty to Ian, their unofficial team captain, and Niki as well.
His green eyes slid to Heather for a moment, but she seemed all distant and stuff. She hadn't bugged him in a whole ten minutes, which was odd when they were in the same room. Plus she looked all bugged and Gavin sighed. I'll never understand girls. Ah well, I'll give her space and all, he thought and moved to catch Kat's eyes, smiling at her slightly despite his foul mood.
