"Cover me Private! And not with anything coming from any of your privates!" Sky yelled in the raspy sergeant voice and then laughed, shaking her ass a bit for Chase. She got to the machine and made a big show of reaching for it, though she only needed to lean over and she would have touched it. "Almost got it... almost..." Sky said in a strained voice before she finally leaned over and touched it. "TAKE THAT YOU LOW LIFE COMMIE BASTARD!" she yelled as the machine turned into nothing but dust that quickly disappeared in the light wind.
Sky stood up and got all into the victory dance. "HA TAKE THAT! WE DID IT PRIVATE WE WON!" she yelled and pumped her hand up and down in the air. "HUZZAH!" She was completely cracking up and ran at Chase to tackle him back down to the ground. "Weeeee are the Champions my frieeeennnnndsss!" she sang and sat on his chest. The screams in the air grabbed her attention as well and cracked up when she saw that it was Gavin and Ricki and saw them dive down. "Holy shit! I need to ask him to do that one day with me!" she said eyes wide.
Riker screaming about going for a swim made Sky's eyes go wide. "Duuudde. We gotta do that. It's way hot out and I wanna go!" she exclaimed looking down at him excitedly and bouncing on his chest. "C'mon on!" Sky stood up and gave him a hand up. "LAST ONE IN IS KATANA'S USED BLOODY RAG!" she yelled and took off on a run toward the lake. She'd kick her shoes off when she got there.

Kat smirked and then followed after Riker as he ran off towards the lake. Class seemed to be drawing to a close since it seemed as if everyone was starting to gather at the lake. It seemed a fun idea, and Kat was already soaking wet thanks to the dopey older boy, who she only smirked at, shaking her head. "Ye be a cheater, Dopey. A stark raving mad cheater for makin' that honey be ice cold water," she said with a smirk to Calorie before kicking his shin. "Then again I should be thanking ye for making me all the more appealing to Riker. Thank ye," she said, and then kicked him in the shin again and walking off.
"OI BIRDY! YOU NEED TO FLY ME LIKE THAT TOO!! YE OWE ME!!" she yelled as she started walking fast towards the lake, pointing an accusing finger in that direction. To be honest having seen Gavin fly Ricki like that towards the lake looked quite fun and she wanted that too. He did owe her, after all.
She was also glad the challenge was over. Not that it wasn't fun, but she rather have fun just doing whatever she wanted instead. At least she was out of the pit of honey, even though she didn't mind licking the honey off of herself. It probably would've taken a while but she still didn't mind, that and she probably would've had willing help from the boys. That thought made her smirk mischievously, but it was too late now that the honey had been turned into really really cold water. Not even that annoyed her cause it just made her look better, and all the better to be that much more of a tease.

As Coffee heard the wolf boy run ahead he stood high up on his hind legs and sniffed the air, taking in the strong smells of onions and somewhere farther in the distance of chili and even, if his senses were not deceiving him, of meat mixed with a variety of spices. Ok, got to catch up now, he told himself, as he began to hop at lightning speed along the obstacle course. He got to the hoops, avoided the onion grass, jumped through a big hoop and then straight into the honey pit. Shaking his head at how easily he was trapped, Coffee jumped back out of the pit and quickly maneuvered to the first leaping block, clearing it easily and avoiding the added insult of basil on his already drenched, sticky fur. Got to slow down a little or I'll be covered in something worse. He got past the second leaping block and beyond the powerful scent of cloves was able to catch a hint of chili peppers and get off a long, albeit not graceful leap, to avoid the new peril. The even stronger scent of garlic ahead of him suggested a new obstacle. This really is a great course. Nice and challenging., he thought happily.
He was about to maneuver his way through the lead up to the third leaping block when he heard the new girl calling out from the honey pit, which apparently had snared her as well. She, however, seemed far from upset by it and appeared, if his ears heard right to be eating it instead of trying to get out. Turning his mind back to the matter at hand, he crept through the garlic, got over the third block and avoided landing in the canola oil pit. See, I do learn from my mistakes, he thought with some satisfaction. Next time I'll beat the wolf for sure. he continued in his mind as Kelly declared the wolf the winner and laughed a little at him and the new girl for falling in the honey pit.
The laughter was friendly and Coffee took defeat graciously, taking off his blind fold and smiling broadly at everyone in his usual manner. He gave the wolf boy a small, friendly wave and would have shaken his hand had he not been covered in sticky honey. However, when Kelly turned the pit to ice water leaving the new girl drenched with her breasts showing through her shirt, Coffee felt that he had to act like the adult in the situation and bring the young man in line. It's actually kind of funny, and I doubt she minds, but this is still a class at school, not a holiday. Hopping up to the college student, Coffee, gave him a stern look and thumped the ground in front of him loudly. He then tapped out the following in Morse Code, "No good. You told no tricks with girls clothes. Include making so wet can see under." He pointed at the new girl to make sure the Corsair understood exactly what the problem was as he was never sure how much of his Code the students understood. Coffee let Riker's less than appropriate comments to the girl slide as she seemed to be handling it alright, just as she was dismissing Kelly's latest antics with half teasing comments that made the rabbit breathe a sigh of relief. That could've turned into a big incident. But he still needs to learn control. So Coffee kept his attention on Kelly, folding his little rabbit arms over his chest for added effect and waiting for the boy to respond.

"Jou are telling me!" Onyx grumble, giving glitch a nod for the towel. Damn those paintballs could smart! "I hope keetee ist not makeeng us do a team practice later. I vill be in agony!" He sighed, rubbing the towel through his apparently rainbow dyed hair. That sucked. 'God damnit there is PINK in my hair! I hope that washes out easier and less painfully that going in. Jesus that hurt!'
"Vell ... vhe yell; ICEMAN, VHE ARE FEENESHED. Und vait for heem to say vhe go." He answered, using one hand at the side of his mouth to shout over to the teacher. He didn't want to stay any longer. There where a few ideas in his head about changing the exhaust pipe on his bike. That and he badly needed a wash. "Zhis ist about as good a velcome as jour going to get." He said back at Glitch, shrugging his shoulders and remembering how during his first ten minutes of school he had his bike keys confiscated off of him.
Looking around he noticed the other finished groups heading for the lake. Either to disturb the canoers or not it looked alright. This way he could get some paint out quicker. "Or ... jou could jump een zhe lake viss zhe rest of zhem apparently." He chuckled, still rubbing his towel over his bruised arms.

Lian was really into her powers whenever she used them. The fact that she was able to change the density of any object made her quite proud of herself. Didn't the teachers realize how much murder she could basically get away with? Lian smirked at all of the shenanigans that she, Sky, Riker and Chase have always pulled. The four of them were "The Shit" and they all knew it.
Seeing Clutch start to focus, Lian was able to feel her power working. However it wasn't on all of the boxes of course because she wasn't that powerful yet. That would take a lot of patience and training that Lian was more than willing to try. For now though, she stepped several feet closer to try and control the sides of the fort than just the front. She did believe to have the upper hand in this challenge. Granted Clutch was able to like take a solid box and hit Lian with it but she didn't think the Finnish girl would do that.
It was then that she felt a tennis ball hit her head and Lian immediately glared at Sky. "Oh freak you bitch," she yelled at her with a smirk. Time to show my skills, she thought. Lian was always playing handball back in LA. She was always with the tough boys and learning how to play the sport with skills. Since then, she was able to grow quite a good throwing arm. She waited however, as Sky and Chase were doing their own military thing. When the time fits best, she decided.
The challenge with Clutch was weird. Lian was able to take more steps toward the fort and try to dodge the boxes that were thrown at her. But that only made the fort less powerful since boxes were missing from the back. Once Lian was about five feet from the fort, all the boxes were transparent and able to be penetrated. "Guess I won this round," she replied flatly. She wasn't surprised and was really bummed that the challenge wasn't a challenge.
Lian was tired and she wanted to definitely take a swim. She smirked and grabbed the tennis ball, only to throw it right at the back of Sky's head. "HA. TAKE THAT SARGE!!" she screamed while purposely running into Sky as she was taking off her shoes and pushing her into the lake. "VICTORY IS MINE!!" she yelled before jumping in cannonball style.

Kevin grinned at TuneUp's sugestion and as he finished the boomarang sculpt and tossed it up into the sky hard enough to meet up with Tempasts swirling wind. Pumping his arm up and down he cheered for himselt "YESSsss!! Got it in there!"
He grinned over at Sean and Tia and said "Great idea Sean. Hey is that any easier for you Tempats?" He was a little disapointed that his beautiful scuplted locus looking glider with it's amazing sunset color was smashed, but the glowing electric blue of the simple and fun boomarang was exciting to watch as it danced arounf TuneUp's saucer plane. "Wow Tia you are making that thing dance up there- that's awesome!" he clapped for her and her power.
Seeing the class breaking up he looked over to watch as the wind dancer brought the airships down and he rushed up with Sean to collect his boomarang. It was a good one and he had made it hearty and it was not even shattered or frakshured at all. "EW! Decay that's so gross!" He grabbed up his sculpt and clapped a hand on Sean's shoulder. "C'mon buddy" he smiled at him before he took off running for the water too.

Thanks to the challenge, Chase had a far better idea how he could pull off freezing more than one object at a time. Tennis balls were hard, but the clothes his two cronies were wearing provided a way better target. Reaching out a hand at both Sky and Lian he froze their pants right where they were. Lian was left in cannonball position floating a couple feet above the water and Sky was in mid stride after recovering from the tennis ball and Ripple's shove.
Chase, laughing took his time to pull off his shoes and socks. He even rolled his pant legs up and cleared his throat before stepping into the chilly water. "AHEM- I don't think so. I am the one who is the victory taker. MWAHhahahahahaaa." he pretended it was very warm water and said "Oh man it's nice and warm." before he unfroze the ladies to leave them to discover the temperature for themselves.

Tia lifted the two artifacts in the air, managing to hover them up this time and give them a safe landing. That made her feel a little better about herself, but she was still a bit disappointed about not being able to fullfill her original challenge. Now that she looked around, everyone was running towards the lake , most of them planning on plunging into the water, though not as famishly as StormHawk and Taffy had done. Personally - Tia held no interest in jumping into the lake at this moment in time. In a way she felt slightly lonely, seeing Veronika and Heather weren't there, and she usually seemed to hang around with them - and without them ( and seeing Frostbite was working on her powers ) Tia felt a bit out of place.
She looked over at Frosty, not wanting to disturb her working on her powers, she crossed her arms across her chest and decided to just go and sit by the dock and watch everyone else. Perhaps work on lifting stuff up while she was at it. Her gaze fickered from the back of Kevin's head to Seans face. "I'll - uh - go sit at the dock," she muttered, attempting a weak smile at the New Mutant as she started walking towards towards the Dock at her own sweet pace. Honestly speaking, she liked Sean better than Kevin - even though they both seemed to speak to her more - uh carefully? - than they did to others, Sean just generally seemed more like the to-the-point person. And seeing Tia'd caught Kevin's earlier half-mention of Frosty's name, she was under the impression that Kevin was too probably anti-frostbite now.

Mato smiled at Katana and looked down at his bear. "The first thing you must do is allow yourself to relax. I promise that I will not hurt you, you have never given me a reason to hold anything against you. When a person is calm with themselves they look at situations and themselves differently," he said softly and quieted for a moment, watching her carefully for quite some time till the lines on her face softened and the constant look of 'fight or flight' dimmed in her eyes. Mato had always been quite patient man, and patted his bear for a moment.
"I am going to show you what I see when I look at you. This will not harm you, though you may be experiencing a feeling of breathlessness," he said softly and reached forward to place two fingers on her forehead. The two glowed gold for a moment, as well as Mato's Grizzly Bear until the orange striped alley cat materialized in front of Katana. He grabbed her shoulder gently so she could catch her breath. Mato let her go and looked down at the alley cat that watched him warily with green glowing eyes before moving over to sit on Katana's lap. He sat back and watched her interact with her spirit animal, as solid and emotional as any other animal.
He patted his own Grizzly Bear and watched Katana see and feel her true self, getting a first look at who she was on the inside despite the conflicted person she portrayed. "Your spirit takes the form of a domestic cat, though in your case it appears to be an alley cat. The domestic cat represents natural independence, the alley cat representing forced independence, but with a yearning for love and dependency from others as well. They first and foremost look out to protect themselves and are known to fight when cornered," Mato said softly reaching out and allowed the cat to sniff his hand before he pet it so gently that the cat relaxed in Katana's arms, making her relax as well. "Each animal has unique markings that belong to no other. Your spirit is orange striped, representing the two tones of your being. This dark orange tone tells me that you have endured dark times, but the lightness of this shade of orange says that you desperately want to overcome them and open yourself to better memories. As you see, the dark orange stripes are thicker than the light ones. This means that you are not letting yourself see past what has been and look to what could be."
Mato did not pressure her to talk in detail about anything that he said, content with just informing her of his observations and letting her find out for herself what she was about. He watched her play with the cat and explore it in a marvel that he had witnessed with everyone who saw their spirit animal for the first time. He saw it with his team, remembering Mason's hard and yet wondering stare when he saw his cheetah for the first time, Tracy looking at her hart with understanding and joy, Kelly laughing and instantly playing with his platypus, the disbelief and amazement on Ariel's face when she came face to face with her Wild Mustang, and the soft look of acceptance and interest that came over Aideen's face when she watched her Cougar. Katana's reaction was just as unique and just as much her own as the everyone else's.
He stayed quiet for a long time, just sitting there with his Grizzly Bear as Katana got to know her true self, observing the peace that came over her at the new realizations she made about herself. Mato had faith that the girl was healing the more she learned about her true nature and the more peace that instilled within her. She had a long road ahead before she reached an ideal point, but he was confident that she was off to a good start. After a while, he heard the sounds of laughter and splashing from the distance. Class must be on the verge of finishing. Iceman will be expecting us, he thought and slowly stood up, extending his hand to Katana to help her up as well. "I believe it is time for us to go," Mato said and helped her up. "I will need to bring your spirit form back into it's rightful place. The same feeling of breathlessness may occur," he warned quietly. When she was ready and had said goodbye to her form, Mato gently took a hold of her arm and placed his two fingers on her forehead. They both glowed along with the two animals as the orange striped alley cat disappeared into Katana.
He didn't let her go till she was steady on her feet. When he did they began walking back quietly and pleasantly almost with Mato's Grizzly Bear walking in between them. "I hope that perhaps you know have a better understanding of yourself and what really lies on the inside," Mato said quietly as the walked along the river to the lake.

Come on relax. Katana told herself impatiently. She was honestly still quite tense. It wasn't the skeptical, frightened tense that she had been when they had first gone out to the woods, but was instead now a more of an excited anticipation tension. Exactly what does he see in me? He seems to think there's something good there but I'm just like Dad and he was awful. Rolling her head and shoulders a little her neck cracked loudly and some of the tension eased from her body just as Mato reached forward and touched her forehead. Just like he had warned her, her breath rushed out in a giant sigh and then directly in front of her an orange striped cat appeared, blinking cautiously in the light. Katana looked at the cat and her heart melted. All cats were adorable to her and this one was especially precious. She wanted to call out, 'Come on kitty, here, kitty, kitty', but instead she said nothing. She just patted her lap gently with her hand to let the cat know that it was alright.
The cat apparently got the message as after giving Mato another cautious look with its glowing green eyes, it sat down in Katana's lap. Slowly she reached for her spirit animal and began to stroke the cat's matted orange fur. Poor baby, she thought. Your fur is all dirty. You need a good bath and brushing. Carefully running her fingers through the fur she undid some of the knots and kinks in it. The remaining tension in her body and in the cat's seemed to drain out and soon tears of joy were welling up in the Acolyte's eyes. She's so sweet and friendly. Katana thought of the cat. I've never thought of myself as sweet and friendly. Perhaps, just perhaps, she wasn't the monster she had believed herself to be. Mato's explanation that the domestic cat spirit was a loving one that needed the affection and support of others but also had an independent streak that had been forced into overdrive by Katana's troubled past, seemed right on target and Katana was awed by the scope of his power. For one moment everything made sense, but then the cat started batting at Leah's bangs and smiling she lost her focus and just played.
All too soon, the class was over with Mato telling her that it was time to go. Sighing deeply, Katana watched the cat spirit disappear and smiled knowing that somewhere inside it was still there. "Thank you. That was...that was incredible. I never really expected anything like it...I, well, I thought I was a monster, like my Dad...But she was so sweet" Katana said of the cat. In one moment her outlook on herself had changed drastically. Now she just had to hold onto that moment and not forget who she was again.

The only thing that Bobby could do with all the antics of the students was laugh. He liked that his class was more relaxed for them compared to all the work they got in Emma and Beast's class, Wolverine generally running his class like they were in the army, and Cyclops pulling all professional business routine with school. Yep, Bobby was quite happy the way his class went, and as the last class of the day it always ended with some fun. "NO TRYING TO DROWN EACH OTHER!" he yelled and laughed at everyone running to the lake. He needed to get down there and play life guard.
"Mini- me, what can I say, you nailed it. A little clumsy, but I think you did it pretty good," Bobby said with a big grin and put an arm around her shoulders. "Now c'mon, let's get there before they try to drown each other again," he said with a laugh and started an ice slide again, going high above the students. "EVERYONE GET YOUR BUTTS TO THE LAKE!" he yelled down to the remainder students. "Lets bounce Lorelai, you can try the ice slide out over the lake. There's a soft landing for you, though a bit wet."
Bobby waited for Lorelai to catch up with him before they slid to the way to the lake to join the other students. "We can relax now then, good class. Just remember our talk okay Lorelai?" he said giving her a slightly crooked grin. Everyone deserved to have someone to come to when things were a little rough, and Bobby liked that he could be that person for at least some of the students.
