The content look of happiness on Piotr's face only a moment before fell when Emma elaborated to them on what all the students were whispering about among themselves. It hurt him deeply that Lorelai had left the team, but he was not going to stop her if that was what she wanted. He always tried his best to accommodate everyone on the team and have them all be as close as possible, and it hurt when despite his efforts there was some things he could never hope to fix. <Oh poor Lorelai. I did let her know to always come to me with any problem or any concern. I wish she would have listened,> Piotr thought with a sigh, not understanding the change that came over the sweet, spirited, gutsy girl that he had come to love very much.
His eyes shot up in slight alarm and he lowered his voice as to not get anyone else excited. "Emma, please you must forgive me for asking this, but we all know of your Brock's reputation, and I must ask... was this at all a... forced encounter on his part? I know we had been problems in regard to that situation outside the school, so please pardon me for asking," Piotr said feeling horrible for prying, but he feared the worst. It just didn't make sense for the girl that he knew so well the past couple of months to willingly go to someone like Brock Van Alstyne. Piotr's face was absolutely crestfallen as he anticipated the answer, exchanging a quick look with Kurt.

As much as Kat loved good gossip, and good gossip this was, the constant talk of blood was simply ruining her breakfast. “Ripply, enough for now I want to finish me breakfast and I don’t fancy hearin’ constantly bout blood and the weird blue haired girl who drip drip dripped it along all over the halls. I knew I smelled something fishy, but I didn’t pay it much mind seein’ as I was rather occupied,” she said with a smirk to Riker before looking to Lian again and putting a finger to her mouth as if to say shush. “Blaspheme on after I’ve finished me breakfast,” she said, looking down at her plate to still see one strip of bacon, one sausage, and a half eaten pile of eggs.
Mumbling to herself she shook her head and took a dainty bite of her ketchup covered eggs and chewed slowly, thinking of the ketchup as blood from all the imagining in her head after all the talky talk of cafeteria wide gossip. It was all around, being talked about and her eggs didn’t look so good anymore. Thankfully her bacon and sausage weren’t touched by ketchup so they would still be eaten, and she grinned slyly as she changed the subject, seeing that Ricki had left. “Where’d Ricki go? To Dante’s room aye?” she asked with a giggle, thinking of the irony of one girl going to a guy’s room the night before only to have Ricki leave to go to Dante’s just now. “I be wonderin’ how that’s goin’ ta blow over. What say ye all?” she asked with a girly giggle.

"You know something? I might be in the minority here and all Kat, but I have got like no friggin CLUE what you say half the time." Chase stuck his tongue out and licked the bottom side of his forearm as some sauce was dribbling down it. "Besides where the hell are you from again? Pirate cove or some crap? Please, you and this hangover and all the gash dripping gossip are giving me beer shits and I'm gonna hold you down and give you a chocolate moon pie right on your shirt if I don't get some lovely dovely wuvvey take your mouth and shutty uppy a mite right quick like and that means soon. Savy?"
His head was thumping and his belly was turning over. Loudly. The gurgles actually hurt and he dropped his fork "Oww! Oh just- OWWWw! Just great, man, I haven't shitted on myself since oh hell-" he stood up and the look of pain and panic on his face was worthy of a portrait. "Gang way! Clear the decks! Hoist the main sail! Ahoy, ya scallywags might need to swab the deck behind me!" he ran for the nearest bathroom one hand on his stomach the other one holding his asshole.

"Oh this is so far out of my comfort zone." Scott groaned under his breath. As he listened longer and looked around at the behavior of the children he saw what Xavier's dream had turned into under his watch. The nonsense, foul language and pranks were one thing, but the news of Lorelai and Brock spending intimate time together set his blood to boiling. "I don't BELIEVE this! What are you saying, we just let it slide?" Scott was completely outraged at the idea of ignoring the issue. "We have to deal with this. The two of them have to be punished for their indiscretions. I'm sorry, but we can't have that kind of thing going on, and now that it seems almost all of the school knows about it we have an obligation to do something."
He shook his head still not allowing things to rest. "I think, well I don't know what I think exactly but this is... I'm just... Well, I'm embarrassed for starters and slightly disgusted as well. I cannot believe you would suggest that we just do nothing. Emma this is a serious situation, it's no time for jokes, this is a very big deal and Pete has a good point. I know, you say you read both of their minds- I get it, but Brock is.. well dammit, he doesn't belong here. He's crossed one line too many. This is really the last straw. He has to go."
Thoughts of happy times and of cookouts and ultimate Frisbee and volleyball all faded away. All his mind could imagine was a morbid rape of a young woman who he knew and cared for. His brain vilified Rumble and in his minds eye he could almost see him laughing as he twirled his mustache, while putting Frostbite through a painful ordeal. "I'm getting rid of him right now!" Cyclops stood up his hands balling up into fists. "He has to be the example, this is a school not a brothel! But more than that...This is our HOME!!"

At the Hellion table, Rose had been sitting there with Inflict, listening to the idle gossip of the younger crowd and the teachers. Their table was smack in the middle of everything and they heard it all as it passed through. It proved to be extremely amusing that the little Ice girl got herself caught, and Rose expected it along with her beau. The two of them knew exactly what happened, since Inflict shared a bathroom with Brock and both were well aware exactly how it went down both last night and this morning when Rose came out of their shower to see Norrison and Brock laughing their heads off as Brock recounted the hookup with the Ice girl. The dark smirk on Rose's dark red painted lips deepened only more at Cyclops' outburst at the next table over.
Smooth legs were crossed as her heel dangled off her foot, a slender elegant hand lifted as she filed her nails with care and an almost nonchalant air about her. "Anyone that would think that Brock would need to force the Ice Princess to do anything is either blind or seriously unaware." Rose looked up to look at Cyclops with a smirk that would make Emma Frost proud, the look on her face reminiscent of the one that the former White Queen once wore proudly: a smug and superior look that gave one the impression she was placating a small child. "I suppose thats fitting on both counts for this case," she said with that same challenging look Emma taught her.
"Little Miss 'Oh So SWeet and Innocent' Ice girl has been throwing herself at Brock for what three days now my love?" She glanced at Inflict for conformation. "She came to him willing as ever, and none of you can hardly blame him for doing the same thing all of you at one point or another." Rose set down her nail file and looked from Emma and then right at Cyclops. "And perhaps the best and most true reason why he would not force that Snowflake for anything is that she is not his biggest desire. It's not her picture that he has hanging over his bed and she is not the one who he call his own." The look on her face only made the point be driven home all the more.
"But I suppose, any excuse is a good excuse to be rid of him would suit you, wouldn't it Cyclops? Say that its for the sake of the school all you want, we know you want to protect your Precious Aideen from being put in her place." It was dangerous territory that she treaded on, but Rose was a Hellion to the core, and she will use everything necessary to defend her teammate, no level too low for her to stoop. Most of all, she was proud of every silky venomous word that left her mouth in a nonchalant manner.

Chester was not stupid, not by a longshot, and his heart was in the right place. He had seen bad things coming for that girl the night she had joined them at the pool hall. It was none of his concern, Brock was grown and Lorelai was supposed to have been taught to guard against guys like him. He didn't really care either way now that what was done was done, but what he did care about was the little ones.
After Rose's eruption he foresaw some retaliation from somewhere. Cyclops was a proud man, and in Chester's opinion he was within his rights to uphold the rules, in whatever form that might take. Not to mention the girl had to have at least one friend there and he did not want the Alpha's hearing or seeing what was sure to be coming next. He stood up and stared at all of them, teachers and students alike, gossips and vipers all.
"Time for some cartoons. Who needs help? We're gonna eat in front of the TV." He looked at Karma, knowing she had the final word and he didn't want to step on her toes, but he felt the children's needs should come before anything. "Right? As a special treat, for uh..." he wasn't sure what to say next and he hoped Shan could come up with a good reason for a Saturday morning cartoonathon breakfast.

"Oh yes I did promise if you went straight to bed last night, you'd get a special treat. And now we can watch cartoons and eat breakfast at the same time!" Shan said taking the cue from Stoney and standing up, taking her and Jenny's food on tray. She would not allow her darlings to be exposed to the lashing of tongues and egos that was about to occur and the last thing she wanted was for her children to witness it all. "Torri would you please take Lily's tray as well? Thank you sweetheart. Chester, take Chopper's tray so he doesn't spill it again please." She was quick to usher her sweet ones out to the rec room before the shouting started. She knew enough what was going on to convince her little ones that it was ketchup in the hallways and not blood.
"Come on everyone, if we hurry we can catch the next hour of Scooby Doo," Shan said with a smile, taking Austin's hand to make sure he came with them and ushered all of them out of the room into the rec room. She exchanged a grateful look with Stoney as he helped her get them in there and out of earshot.

"Oh my my, Professor Summers doesn't seem to happy now does he? Maybe we should get out of here..." Kris mumbled, picking up a lettuce leaf that had fallen into his lap and putting it onto the plate. Cyclops' outburst had surprised Kris, causing him to jump in his seat and the lettuce in his plate to fall in his lap. Kris sighed, scratching the back of his neck as he looked at all who still remained at the table. It bothered him that Kevin had left the table looking so... dazed. Kris was still in half mind to follow the blond beauty, to make sure he was okay- maybe even comfort him with a teensie kiss and a cuddle.
"Oh, Veronika the show sounds amazing, and truly tempting- but... well," Kris lowered his voice slightly, "I'm worried about dear Kevin. I'm in half heart to go find him and make sure he's okay, but i'm not sure if I should... oh Ana sweets! Veronika hon! Tell me- should I?"

Lurai's ears twitched as everyone kept talking about Lorelai, and she watched Cyclops curiously as she heard and saw his outburst. It was weird to see since he normally kept his cool, but as the others continued on she couldn't help but just shake her head. All this drama, as she knew it to be called, was in her opinion rather stupid, and although the aspect of blood being involved made it somewhat interesting, she still didn't care to hear it. She also didn't fully understand what the big problem was. Two people hooked up the night before, and everyone was making a big deal out of it. One of the people was the older guy who got tossed through a wall by Ember, and though she found that rather funny, what was such a big deal about this? From what the older Hellion girl had said, Lorelai asked for it, so she didn't get why people just heard it and moved on to something else, but they seemed to get stuck on it.
Lurai shook her head again and focused on her pile of bacon, still picking up a couple of strips at once and eating them like she had been. It had kept her quiet since both Sean and k'8 had gotten up and left, so there weren't as many people to talk to. Jasper had never showed up to breakfast, but there was still Alejandro somewhere- somewhere she didn't really care to look, and the newer girl whose name k'8 changed every time she mentioned her. She turned to her and wanted clarification. "What's your real name? K'8 keeps changing it so I don't know it yet. She is unreliable in that respect," she said, holding off on the bacon for one second, finding herself wondering what the name was. The only thing she knew for sure was that it always started with a P, so it was P-something.

Kitty's face held a frown, and a hand went over her mouth at all that had been said. She sat next to Piotr, and she had stopped eating when the talk of the cafeteria had finally reached the teachers' table. She found herself disbelieving and shocked about hearing of Lorelai's activities with Brock the night before, and felt just as worried about everything when Machete had so kindly clarified everything for the whole room. She just couldn't believe what she was hearing, and about a girl she had always thought well of. "Oh, Piotr," she said quietly, her hand taking a hold of his arm gently as she looked up at him with a worried face. She couldn't help wincing at every mention of every detail blared out to everyone, and was glad to catch Xi'an and Chester moving the little ones out of the cafeteria.
I just don't know what to think...it's all just crazy and horrible sounding. Scott won't let this go now, but I'm not sure what he's going to do now that it was just confirmed that poor Lorelai wasn't raped...this...if it was bad like Emma says it was, my heart goes out to that girl, even though she brought it on herself, Kitty thought, unable to help feeling horrible about knowing what had transpired. Although it wasn't rape, she hoped that Brock wouldn't just be let off the hook, and couldn't help feeling sympathy for Lorelai. If it was as bad as she could only imagine, then whatever Lorelai was going through was probably punishment enough, and she would probably punish herself more than anyone else would.
She winced again as she rubbed Piotr's arm a little, not knowing what to say about anything that was going on. She could only look around at her fellow teachers, especially at Emma and Scott. When it came to Brock she knew things differed; she well knew that Scott completely detested him, and yet he was Emma's favorite student. Kitty found herself almost afraid to see how this would end, because she was sure they would ram heads when it came to the Hellion.

Scott waited until the young ones had all filed out in a little line on their way to the rec-room before he spoke. His pride had been set on the chopping block and Machete had taken her hacks at it, but this was not about his pride. He held himself in check as a true leader does when faced with insubordination, overreaction a surefire recipe for revolt.
He did not want this to turn into some juvenile pissing match between himself and some spoiled pets of Emma's from some previous life. He had a lot riding on his next words. The mass of students before him as well as the faculty, his friends and colleagues whom he had fought for and with time and again, all were poised on the point of a pin and waiting on his response. What he said could and most likely would have serious repercussions on the future of this institution, this dream of his mentor, Charles Xavier.
Cyclops relaxed his hands and took a slow deep breath. Stepping back from the table he began to take a slow casual walk as he spoke. "All opinions are respected of course, Machete, even the pejorative opinions expressed by yourself and your little team there." he waved his hand dismissively through the air at the Hellion table. "Respected as points of view, but not necessarily given consideration. So please do enjoy your particular point of view... that, and a quarter will buy you a gum-ball."
He knew that was going to get some blood boiling so he quickly changed focus to put out the impending five alarm blaze. "Now, I know you all think that was cruel, and I'll cop to it...it was. The point that I am making is that no matter what the perception is, even a blind man can tell when something smells fishy. The rules are here for everyone's protection. You don't have to like them, but they will be enforced. Both parties have broken the rules, but they are not alone in that."
He looked around the room as he walked past tables now slightly less full of children than there had been just minutes before. The absence of the Alpha's a blessing, and maybe there would be no need for a speech if less students were present, but that was not now an option. He needed to make his point and he thought of the reasons for the school and what Charles himself had told him. "This place, this school, this home of ours... it's more than just a building. It is the culmination of a dream, a safe haven for people, like you and I, who are different the the rest of the world."
"Look, Charles Xavier envision a school where all students would be challenged to question the world around them, to develop healthy, personal identities, and to participate in meaningful civic and social experiences. We are here to make a difference. As his students once ourselves and now your teachers, we seek to cultivate an inclusive, academic program that emphasizes not just literacy, technology infusion, and life-long learning skills, but that focuses on accepting those things that make us special and unique. The goal is for all members in this school community to share accountability for the ongoing creation and maintenance of a safe and supportive, academically rigorous, and standards-driven learning environment. It's supposed to be hard. We challenge you to challenge yourselves, to rise above what you once were and evolve.
Xavier's is a transfer school thats open to ALL Mutant students who seek an alternative from their current schools. We encourage freely expressing your individuality and identity, so it stands to reason there will be issues that develop. But all in all this school is here to provide for you students a unique, small learning community. To give you kids a safe, nurturing setting designed to support educational, social and emotional development- challenge you to grow to your full potentials- not just in using your Mutant Gifts but in preparing for adulthood and the world at large. The school itself offers you students rigorous academic experiences aligned with New York State learning standards and expectations, all of that which you find so mundane, but we X-Men know it takes more than that to survive in the real world.
It takes critical thinking, so by incorporating our history, our life experiences, and the lessons from not just this world but every world to which we have traveled, we give to you kids, each and every one of you, all that we have inside of us, all that we have learned. You are our children as much as you want to believe it or not, and what do we ask in return? If you think about it it's not all that much now is it?" Scott let his words take time to sink in. He had spilled out a big bag of marbles for their minds to scoop up and he hoped a few of them got it.
"And so, now that you have been told what this place is all about I am hopeful you will each hold yourselves to a higher standard. You are the hope of the future, the promise of tomorrow, and look at you all. This place smells like a brewery, like a brewery oozing out of your skin. You carry yourselves with little self respect, and even less respect for one another. I know you're just kids, but come on, take some accountability for your actions this is ridiculous. Those of you who have people in your lives that care for you, don't you want to make them proud of you?"
He looked at their faces. Some who had parents, some who didn't. Some whose parents loved them still and some whose parents had disowned them. "I'm no psychic but I know what you're all thinking... you're thinking 'Who does this guy think he is?' Well, I'll tell you who I am...." He had wound his way all around and through and between each table as he had spoke to be back where he started facing the Hellions. "...I am one of those somebodies that cares. I want better things for you and your lives than I have had for myself. This world is not kind to us Mutants, and sometimes all we have is one another, but it does not excuse disrespectful behavior. Those two will be held accountable for their actions, as everyone else here is accountable for their own actions. Sometimes it only takes one mistake to ruin the rest of your life."
He turned and said to the teachers "Staff meeting in Xavier's office after breakfast. Enjoy your meals." With that he walked to his seat and picked up his tray. Walking stone faced and silent to the side of the cafeteria he placed his tray on the conveyance that would take care of the dirty dishes. Standing there for a moment he felt the stares of many burning on his back. He had made the most of an untenable situation, rules never being popular, and the enforcers of rules even less so. Machete did have a point though and it was eating him up inside. He wanted to get rid of Rumble, it was not just for Aideen's sake... but it was true that she was a large part of it. He would not, could not, let his personal bias interfere in the running of the school. The teachers together would have a chance to voice their opinions and deliberate.

Mason grinned slightly at Tracy, the effect of her mood and just the place itself weighing down on him as well. He took out his phone and played with it for a moment, still getting used to this PDA. The only reason he even got one was cause he found it was more useful for traveling that the regular flip phone he had before. The cell phone was connected and he listened to the sound of 'All the Small Things' ringback tone as he attempted to reach Iceman. "Thinking of a career change instead of staying with the X-Men Doll?" Mason teased as he waited for Iceman to pick up. His eyes stayed on his girl till he heard the familiar voice of Iceman on the other line. "Hey Bobby man, what's up? I'm calling to check up and see if everything is cool back home, if we're needed or something," Mason said grinning at Tracy while talking to the guy he considered more a friend than a teacher. Iceman was like that though, a kind of pal that always had your back. Their age difference wasn't extreme either so they had a better time relating to each other. Now that he was back from his work in San Fransisco, he was the one Mason always called to make sure all was in the clear. Lynard Skynard's Black Betty rang through the hushed whispers and talking of the students. With a heavy sigh, Bobby stood up from the table and walked out to the hall, answering the phone with a heartbroken and crushed voice. "Mason, hey bro," he said, swallowing back his heavy heart. "Well uh, nothing is wrong that we need you guys, actually it's probably for the best that you guys are gone, cause shit hit the fan here with some stuff." The news that spread broke his heart like a shattered ice sculpture. He was extremely upset, and most of all disappointed. Ever since he found out that there was finally another person with ice powers, Bobby was ecstatic, looking out for her, being a friend and mentor to the only other mutant that could share his experiences. He had watched Jean work with those who were telepathic and telekinetic, Cyclops work with those who needed to project their powers the right way, and many other teachers work with those that had possessed similar mutations. Just once Bobby wanted to know what it was like to have that connection with a student, to be their true mentor. With Lorelai, he found a student that he could help and work with, make things easier for her so she could have it easier than he did. She wouldn't have to face the awful frustration, the constant hardships that he did because he could help her through them and guide her. Bobby's journey to being where he was then with his powers was long, hard, and difficult. It wasn't over yet, but if his lessons could make just one other mutant's life easier, than as far as Bobby was considered it was all worth it. It hurt because he warned Lorelai, he told her that Rumble was bad news, that he was dangerous and would hurt her. Though he recognized the signs of rebellion, he had hoped that his words of warning, his promise to be there for her if she just asked, would have some effect on her in the end. Bobby felt like he failed with Lorelai. Failed to protect her from the most dangerous person in the school, and to protect her from herself. He felt horrible right then, horrible that she didn't trust him enough to just come and talk to him and let him help her out. "Ahhh, Cyclops is calling a meeting cause of Rumble sleeping with a high school girl and everyone finding out," Bobby said in a low voice, keeping the details out, but giving him a basic overview. "It ain't good here man, and its probably good that you took Ember out of here," Bobby said with a sigh, doing his best to hide his hurt and disappointed. "How is everything anyways, you guys got there okay? Had a good night?" He decided that a change of topic would be good for him, and maybe even cheer him up.

"It's Penny," she replied with a smile when the headmaster had finished talking. "Well, it is now. I kinda like it and its better than Perigee...What's a Perigee? Sounds like a talking bird." She finished her orange juice, then added, "K'8 gave it to me so maybe she'll remember it. She's pretty cool and the movie last night was fun. 'Though sounds like I missed an even better party 'cause he's pretty mad," she said pointing to Cyclops. "So what's there to do around here?"
Penny had time to kill, and the last thing she wanted to do was homework or unpacking. Well, she'd unpack her new tennis racket. She'd seen the courts in the brochure and really wanted to play. Or maybe the lake, which K'8 had told her about. That's why she'd asked this other girl 'cause it was no fun to do stuff alone. And she'd spend all day making up her mind.

"Aw man, uh well we're doing good. Really good actually. We're all pretty relaxed here," Mason said rubbing the back of his neck and exchanging a glance with Tracy. He didn't mention exactly who 'we' was, and he wasn't planning to. "Won twenty four grand last night, and we got into a scuffle, but we're all good." A sigh left Mason while he leaned forward to lean his elbow on his knee. "Cyclops okay man?" he asked in an almost tired voice, but the concern for his mentor was obvious. He didn't know where he'd be if it wasn't for Cyclops and Nightcrawler. They got him to straighten himself out, to start giving a damn about life and to start caring about himself and others. Both of them did more for Mason than he ever expected anyone would do for him, taking the time to reach out to him and get it through his thick stubborn head. For all they did for him, Mason worried in his own way for both of them. Cyclops especially, because since Aideen joined the team the guy's been noticeably more tense. Not cause of the fire bender, but because of the her 'dedicated admirer.' Mason knew his team leader enough to see how much he connected with Aideen on a level that was different from how he related to other students. The two of them understood each other and connected on a unique level, respect and care for one another evident in even a simple command, and for the sake that Ember wouldn't allow a single negative word to be said about Cyclops in her presence. Rumble bearing down on her had its effect on their team leader, and Mason imagined that Cyclops was probably at the end of his rope. It took Bobby a moment to answer, thinking on the speech that he heard his long time friend give just a moment before. "Uhhh. I dunno bro, he's got a lot on his mind, we're having a meeting soon." He spoke in low tones while leaning against the wall in the hallway in front of the entrance of the cafeteria. He didn't want the other students to see him like this, and he needed a couple of minutes to get himself together. "Look, we're holding up okay here, just the normal school drama. You guys have fun, win some more money, take a couple of pictures, and oh bring me back something from Beantown. Stay outta trouble," Bobby said with a lighter tone. The Corsairs shouldn't have to worry about the school and he wanted them to have a good time. "I think we'll be good this weekend, all the teachers are here, 'cept for Logan, but I think we'll survive. Keep your phone on you though, cause you know how things are here." He doubted there would be a need, but at this point in his life he knew better than to assume anything. "And have fun alright? Tell Tracy and Aideen I said hi and take care of them. Try and keep 'em outta trouble. Just try, that's all I ask," he said with a slight grin. "Take care bro, gimme a call sometime tomorrow to lemme know all is well." Bobby kept his tone light till he hung up the phone. His head moved back, hitting the wall behind him with a slight THUD[/b]. C'mon, I need to get myself together here. That meeting is gonna be brutal, and I know it. If its involving Rumble, then there is gonna be some crazy stuff going on. I'm surprised Kitty didn't flip on Emma right then and there, and Scott looked like he was really trying to keep it together,Bobby took another deep breath to collect his thoughts before pushing himself off the wall and heading towards Xavier's office. At least Logan's not here, cause I don't think Scott would be happy with Xavier's office ripped apart when this thing gets intense.
