The door had opened with Ian laughing out loud at Liv's question about him being the guy with impenetrable skin and the guns. "Na babe, you're thinkin' of Ironclad, he's the Corsair Captain. I don't think you'll have much contact with him," he said walking out and waving to Bobby and Emma on the driveway. He liked being outside, so he didn't mind and it was a pretty warm evening, though he missed California weather like crazy. "I got a healing factor and super strength. It's kinda funny cause I always been a strong since I was a kid, so I didn't even notice that I had a mutant power till last year. I been here for bout three months or something now."
He gave Liv a glance as they walked, a little curious himself now. "What exactly did you hear 'bout the people here? I'm only askin' cause I'm assuming Frostbite was the one who filled you in and she probably ain't the best person to give ya the lowdown on the people here. Only cause she can be a little bias..." Ian said trailing off and rubbing the back of his neck since the topic of Frostbite made him a bit nervous and uneasy. Not just because of recent events, but because he'd just been uncomfortable bringing her up in general for awhile.
"I guess everyone is kinda bias to be fair and stuff, but I gotta wonder cause she ain't really been on good terms with many and I don't want ya to get the wrong impression of some pretty chill people, well it would suck if you did. S'why I'm wondering," he said as they walked around the building taking in the last of the daylight.

Gavin walked out of the mansion not long afterwards with a big smug look on his face as he wiped the smeared lip gloss from his mouth. His smirk grew even bigger when he saw Ian looking over and waved with his free hand, as his other hand was holding Heather's and pulling her to the car. "We're comin' Bobby! In case you forgot I can't fly through the mansion," he said as they approached the van and Emma Frost. It took him a minute to register that she was there and it made him stand up straighter with the smirk dropping from his face. "Oh uh, hey Ms. Frost." Gary smiled and put a bit more distance between him and Heather, though he had a feeling that she wasn't fooled for a minute.
"Lovely to see you," Gavin said giving his most charming smile and opening the van door for Heather, making a big show of how gentlemanly he was not just for Heather but for Ms. Frost as well. "I hope you have a great evening ma'am." He bowed slightly with that same charming smile before getting into the van as well. "We're ready, let's roll." Gavin got comfortable and closed the door, looking over at Heather with a grin. "So uh, dinner first than a movie? You can pick since I was a little late and all," he said to her sheepishly, using that time to give her a once over again. She looked seriously good tonight.

Heather giggled and used her thumb to clean up some lip gloss on his left cheek. "Sounds good," she replied happy that she was finally going to be able to go on her date. "See you later Ms. Frost, we'll behave I promise." She waved to the Headmistress, assuring her that all would be alright. It was funny to see Gavin's reaction to the White Queen's presence and Heather couldn't help but smirk when she saw how chivalrous he became. Not that he already wasn't but you get the idea...
"Thanks so much for this Bobby. You're really nice to do this for us," she continued not really noticing Gavin eying her. Heather was very oblivious when it came to guys looking at her. This was a known fact and Veronika had pointed it out to her several times. Heather needed to "use her looks" and "control the opposite sex" as the redhead would always point out. And even though Heather liked the idea of being in control, at the end of the day, it seemed like a big game to her and just not worth it.
Looking back at Gavin, Heather smiled widely and pondered about what movie she wanted to see. "What about that new slasher movie with Chad Michael Murray?" She wasn't a big slasher movie person, but one trick she did agree with Veronika was the "being scared" excuse during a date. Plus it was alway courteous to pick a movie that the guy would like too. Not drag him to some chick flick where every single girl in the audience is pining over the male lead. Heather wasn't into that kind of movie anyone unless around her girlfriends.

"Chad Michael Murray? Man he must have messed up big time if you're making him see any movie with that guy in it," Bobby said with a grin as he looked back at them behind him. "You both buckled up? Good." He turned back to Emma and grinned at her, knowing that they'd most likely continue the conversation later. "I'll talk to you later Em, and don't worry I'll pick up all the kids safe and sound." He winked at her and began pulling out of the driveway. He rolled up the windows and started down on the road, thanking Emma for the images of what the kids he was picking up looked like.
"Alright you two, here's how it's gonna work. I'm dropping you off at the diner and then you're on your own. I'm trusting you guys to stay out of trouble, that means no confrontations with the town people. Have a nice time and behave, cause you screw up and you lose the privilege to go out," Bobby said looking at the couple in the rear view mirror as they drove down the road. "When you're ready to come home, send me a text and gimme a call with at least fifteen minutes to come and get you. And remember, curfew is at ten in town so try to end it before them." He grinned at them and kept driving down the road to get to town.
Truth be told, the last people he was worried about causing trouble was Gavin and Heather. Had it been any other of the pairs at the school, he might have been just a bit apprehensive about them having a night on the town alone, but not these two. Heather was pretty responsible and living in New York made her well aware of the anti mutant sentiment and Gavin wasn't a troublemaker on his own, so he was pretty sure they'd have a smooth sail this evening. It didn't take them long to get to town, and Bobby dropped off the couple before turning towards to bus station to pick up the new kids.
