The second he arrived in the classroom, Riker growled suspiciously at the machine on Kitty's desk before smiling brightly at his team leader. If there was one teacher in the whole school that Riker usually listening to without question, it was the small brunette that stood in front of the class. He liked how fierce she was and most of all liked how well she understood him. Riker knew that she knew he hated technology and was really only in the class because of her, but she didn't seem to mind.
"Katie love, ye gonna have te explain te me what that bloody thing is. Looks dangerous, dun know if I want ye te use it," Riker said with a growl, glaring at the machine and bringing K'8's chair closer to his own just from his own overprotective habit. He nodded at Perigee, still not knowing what to make of the girl since it seemed that she rarely left her room or something. "As long as I dun bloody gotta touch nothin' that got wires or anythin'." He scowled at the machine and took a look around at his teammates. He really really didn't like what he saw when he watched Heather today. Riker knew her well enough to know when something was wrong, and all he had to do was take one look at her and right away he knew that something was wrong.
Probably that bloody stupid bird's fault. I'll make a bloody pillow outta' his feathers. Even if it ain' his fault I'll do it, jus' cause he should be takin' care o' her. A growl escaped him just thinking about it. He didn't like anyone in his pack to be upset or hurt, especially the lassies since he was extremely protective of them. "Oui, Katie lass," he said in a lower voice, keeping his eyes trained on Heather. "What be goin' on wit' our wee blond lass?" he said in a whisper for her ears only.

Ricki couldn't help but giggle at Joce and her interaction with the new New Mutant. She hadn't really had a chance to meet him just yet, but going by what Joce said she assumed he had some techonology related power. However, she was soon enough distracted by two of her Acolytes greeting her. "Hey Leah, Hey Iv!" her hundred giga-watts smile appeared flashed on her face and lingered. "Well, I'm guessing it probably does work, otherwise I doubt Miss Pryde would have it here... unless she's just trying to show us what it looks like and explain the theory to it... but I highly doubt she'd make her lessons that boring. I'm sure she'd let us have a little fun." she said, her smile bright on her face as she spoke to Leah. Leah looked somewhat... different. A lot less shabby and a lot more approachable. It seemed like Leah'd actually made an effort with her appearance today and that genuinely made Ricki feel quite impressed with Leah. Not that Ricki really cared too much about the way a person looked, but Leah just putting in that little bit of an effort meant that she genuinely was ready to work with Ricki and the thought of that made her happy.
She hated to see anyone being hurt in anyway at all, and while she was thinking of hurt people- she'd noticed Heather and Clutch walk in. And even though Heather looked the same as everyday; something in her expression gave Ricki the impression that there wasn't something quite right with her and it got Ricki wondering about if anything happened the night before during Heather and Gavin's date... but that's precisely where she stopped herself wondering. She didn't really want to think about that right now. No. And plus, she was probably just being silly; Heather and Gavin were such great friends- surely nothing could've gone wrong between them. It was probably just something else. She sighed, forcing her thoughts away from what could be bothering Heather and towards the two girls in front of her at the moment.
Ricki really did want to try to help make things easier for Leah, because even though she put on a tough face for the world, she had to be hurting in there somewhere... Ricki knew she would be, had she been in Katana's shoes. "You look nice today, Leah." Ricki complimented, her smile radiating all the warmth it could manage. "Don't ya think so Ivy?" she turned around to exchange a look with Ivy who had her natural look of slight discomfort on her face. Ivy was also one of the people Ricki was desperate to try and pull out of her shell. Ricki knew that Ivy would love to join in with the group, but she was also somewhat insecure and felt like they probably didn't want her there, which was not true, and it bugged Ricki.
Ivy needed to get past that little block in her head that made her think the world was much happier without her and that it made more sense for her to just leave everyone to have their own fun and not be a part of it at all. "Oh, by the way, you... I was gonna come and drag you out of your room last night, you- but I got talking to Maddy. She's really cool, I'm sure you'd like her. And oh I was going to, also, knock on your room door this morning- but my new and blue room-mate kind of half scared me to death by bursting through the door this morning, so I'm sorry!" Ricki rolled her eyes, her smile slightly apologetic. The look on Ivy's face gave Ricki the impression that she was starting to think of Ricki as one of the group now instead of her friend and Ricki just felt like she owed Ivy an explaination.
She was simply looking at both the girls, when something struck her. Well... if she wanted to help Leah, it meant she had to spend more time with her- and well, why not be partners with Leah for the lesson? But that thought immidiately made Ricki feel quite guilty, considering the fact that she hadn't been able to spend much time with Ivy off late and she was really hoping that they could sit down and chat a little during today's class. She sighed, not saying anything until she somehow managed to make up her mind.

Jax grinned at the guy from the Garage, not actually recollecting getting a name of his. He remembered him saying that he picked up Jax's name off his t-shirt or summit. "Duh man. Ain't it just common sense to go to classes you know you'll ace?" he said with a smug shrug, unable to stop himself chuckling at his own words. Jax was cool with this guy: he seemd like a decent lad and was alright to talk to, even though Jax'd only really exchanged a few words with him- although the last time they met, Jax simply recollected the guy having the world's worst headache as he sat in the Sky and Jax could empathize with that. He got those killer headaches when he tried to download more information than he could perhaps handle into his brain. "Your headahce doin' okay man? Oh by the way, I never did catch your name yesterday at the garage- you gotta gimme a name before I start callin' ya Douchebag or somethin'." Jax smirked at the guy, before turnin' his head to face Joce who was wow'd by Rexy.
"Oooh, not so fast my blue minx." Jax scoffed, dropping his hand back on her shoulder although avoiding the headlock this time, because even though he looked like a big tough guy, he was ticklish as hell and he did not want to make a prat of himself... especially now that so many more people had come in. "I saw her first. She's the feisty one I was tellin' ya about. She's quite easy on the eyes, huh?" Jax had a small smirk lingering on his lips, but that didn't quite cut it. There was more to Ana what met the eye and that's kinda what made her worth his attention in his mind. He didn't think simply mentioning her looks covered it.
"But she's got that whole attitude thing going too. You feel the whole exotic thing comin' from her?" he asked Joce, his voice actually soundin' quite interested and his tone automatically lowering down to a whisper. "You can give it a try Jocey-pie, but don't be disappointed if you fail man. I think she prefers my kind to yours." Jax winked at Joce, unable to keep a smug look off his face. "But maaan, if you succeed... don't mess her up too much, or Riker there'll kick your butt." Jax smirked at Joce, his head indicating over to his Pack Leader, although the last bit he said sounded like a joke. "He already gave me the talk about breakin' my bones and shreddin' me up if I hurt her at all and I don't wanna go messin' around with him. That tail o' his looks like it'd hurt worse than a whip." Jax forced a mock horrified expression on his face, but being unable to hold it he burst into a chain of chuckles, grinning wide at Joce.

"Kitty! The prettiest tech teacher in the world! And oh no, she's got another scary machine that I'm gonna have to take a test on!" Gavin did a dramatic voice and put a hand to his forehead. "Oh the agony, OH THE HUMANITY!" he laughed and winked at Kitty before he looked around for a place to sit. Spotting Heather sitting with Ana, the grin fell from his face and he sighed slightly. He did feel bad that their friendship was strained now and that things would be different between them, but that's why he told her upfront that he didn't want a relationship that went further than dating. It wasn't that Gavin didn't like her or anything, hell he had a blast with her, but he wasn't as close to her as he was without knowing some stuff about her. He knew that he wasn't what she would want in a boyfriend and he'd screw up with her, and if she needed space to understand that he was cool with it.
Shaking his head out of it, Gavin got the smile back on his face and his eyes spotted Ricki, looking at her with mock shock. "Ricki what the hell is this? You're cheating on me?" He put a hand to his heart and made a dramatic move as if he just had a heart attack. "We were always partners! So loyal to each other... and now you've gone and done this?! Just stick a knife to my heart, it'll be less painful!" Gavin's face was all screwed up in his dramatic act before he laughed. "Ah it's cool I'll sit all be my lonesome today. I got one pretty girl who left me for someone else." He ruffled Ricki's hair for that. "And my favorite blue babe left me too! There is no justice in this world!"
Gavin squeezed Jocelyn's shoulders and grinned at her. "You know, you left me the whole weekend, and now this? I'm hurt Joce, I really am!" he joked and winked at her. He really liked Splice, but he kind of thought it was impossible to not like her. She was one of the hottest chicks he'd ever seen, and she was just so much fun and so cool that it was hard not to find her attractive. He plopped down at the desk behind Joce and that New Mutant she was sitting with. Spotting Niki, he grinned and waved at her too. He liked this class, and knew to be expecting some fun stuff.

Though there were far more students here than Johnny anticipated, he found himself reluctant to go out of his way to meet anyone just yet. He didn't want to be some weird quiet kid that was too scared to talk to anyone, but right now he wasn't quite up for making friends. Perhaps the stress of being in a new school and the the fact that he was back in a classroom after he thought he was done with it for life was getting to him, especially when combined with the grief he was trying his best to sort through. Either way, Johnny didn't know if he was ready to enjoy the people around him the way his roommate seemed to be.
He could really say that he liked Romon, he was a good guy. He was outgoing and knew how to talk to people, the exact opposite of Johnny in that sense. Right now, his only focus was getting himself together so he could get out of that shell that he encased himself in since his Grandfather was diagnosed with stomach cancer. One of the many things that his Grandfather taught him was to be as self aware as much as possible, because in the end it made a lot of things easier. Johnny liked to think that he was, and right now he thought that he needed to try his best to move on, because life wasn't waiting for him to finish grieving. Like many things in life, this was one of those that were easier said than done.
Johnny nodded absently to Romon's comment on the girls, barely looking at any of them when he came inside. He was so nervous about being back in a classroom that he barely glanced at anyone in the class. He had his first tutoring session later on that day, and he was slightly nervous about that as well. Johnny worked with tutors before, but he didn't know what to expect now since it was a student and not a teacher that was tutoring him. With a sigh, he shook his head and looked toward the front, either to get the class over with.

Everything surrounding Heather was a blur. She didn't care about what was being taught in class, nor the new people that seemed to be sprouting up the past few days. Even though she was able to still be her fashionable self (with her tight tank top with a puffy turtleneck and plaid pattern, accompanied with black ankle length leggings and dark red pumps), the water manipulator was just not in the best of moods. Her hair still had the beach curls in them, and she had it set in a playful side ponytail with strands of curls surrounding her face, framing it well and bringing the blue out in her eyes. Her make up was light and fresh with neutral skin tone colors and a nude lip gloss.
Compared to the previous night, she was better but it would take more than a night's sleep and support from her friends to make the New Mutant cheer up. She was thankful though, more than thankful that she had such great people in her life. And even though nothing was going her way when it came her family and significant others, Heather was never greedy or envious of the lives of others.
The blur dissipated once Gavin entered the room. Prior to him making his entrance known, her body was facing Ana, her head resting against her hand that was propped up on her desk. Her vision toward the door was blocked since she really didn't want to see anyone, nor have anyone see her. It wasn't about her wanting to be invisible, rather just people not seeing how gloomy of a mood she was in.
Hearing Gavin she closed her eyes, stopping herself from speaking to Ana for several seconds. She was about to tell her what Ms. Frost spoke to her about earlier that morning but her train of thought was lost because of all the commotion. Heather wasn't bitter about Gavin anymore. In all honesty she couldn't allow herself to remain in such an angry state. Being bitter wasn't Heather's thing. So instead, she remained disappointed and upset about the situation. In time she knew she would be able to get over everything. It just sucked that it wasn't already happening. She hated feeling like this, especially over someone who was her best friend.
With a sigh Heather opened her eyes again, giving Ana a small smile to assure her she was alright (just in case Ana saw her face). "She asked me if I could show a new student around," she replied. "He's an Acolyte named Johnny Rawlings. Ms. Frost said that he needed some help jumping into a new school environment and I was the perfect candidate for it. So I said 'OK'." Heather didn't mention the fact that Johnny had a type of learning disorder which was the bigger reason he needed some extra help. Heather was also supposed to be a tutor. But as Ms. Frost asked, discretion was necessary and Heather was more than compliant when it came to keeping someone's matters private.
When it came to the tutoring itself, Heather couldn't really say no. She had that natural desire to help others like she did with K'8 and her dieting several months ago. Plus it was something to help focus her mind off of Gavin and her parents. She really needed that now in her life. "I could use the distraction," she concluded with a whisper only for her best friend's ears. Heather even threw in a bigger than small smile to show her that she would be fine... eventually.

"Yeah, I've skipped so much class I don't know how she teaches," Leah said returning Ricki's smile. "She's probably going to use that thing to test my promise that I'm going to start showing up." Leah could think of all kind of things she would like to test. First, she'd hook Alex up to it and find out exactly what was going through his addled brain. She was still miffed with her best friend, and the fact that he hadn't come to apologize yet was bothering her. He can't honestly think that the NuMutants are going to all be his friends now, she thought. Does he really not like me anymore? The thought that he might not have been trying to impress his teammates as much as to get her to go away because he was sick of her made her heart fall into her stomach. Kyle had said not to let it get to her. And it was true she had other friends now and life would actually be easier without Alex, who if anything was possibly more unpopular than she was. But she missed him and it had only been a day.
She turned her attention back to her friends. Ricki was suddenly looking distracted and then she sighed. Is she OK? But then Ricki was Ricki again. And Leah was blushing as her friend asked Ivy if she agreed that Katana was looking nice. She's straight, Leah reminded herself about Ivy. Well,I don't know that, but I have no reason to think she's not. Still she held her breath a little hoping that Ivy would agree.
Ricki's apology to Ivy for not hanging out with her, got Leah thinking. "We'll just have to drag her out of her room tonight. I mean, if you want to Ivy. I'm sure we could find something fun to do after practice." Please say yes.

"I guess..." Ivy said with a slight shrug at the idea. Hanging with Katana wasn't exactly the idea she had of hanging out with friends, but she knew beggars couldn't be choosers. She looked over at Ricki, who'd given her a whole explanation about why she hadn't seen her for what seemed like ages, and she gave her best friend a slight smile. "That's good for you, then. It's cool," she said, playing it off with a laugh and a shake of her head. "No worries," she said, smiling weakly. If she was honest with herself, things had been easier, albeit a bit sadder when Ricki was still practically mothering Torri. It was easier just to be around her and talk to her more. Now that she was spreading her social wings, Ivy almost felt slightly left behind.
She wanted to join the rest of them, she really did, but she didn't feel as if she really belonged. Ivy was quiet. The rest were....not. They were normal, and they could socialize and they weren't afraid to talk to new people. Ivy...was. She wasn't great at really talking to people outside her small circle of friends, and often felt awkward and out of place when in big groups of people. It made her withdraw, and most often she either spent her time hanging around one person or drifting off to the side because she didn't know what else to do. It was especially the case when around attractive, really outgoing people. Being around really pretty girls made her feel understated and bland, and being around attractive guys made her more nervous than anything else, which meant she said even less than she would've in the first place. But that was how it was, and to change that would take a lot, and it would take help from her friends. Such improvement couldn't be done by her lonesome.
"Long as you guys don't forget to come get me, I don't see why we couldn't all hang out," Ivy said to both Ricki and Leah with a slight shrug and a small smile before she nodded to them and found an empty seat near to them that wasn't yet taken by one of the whole group of people. She placed her book and technology materials on her desk before resting her arms on them and busying herself by looking at the front of the classroom.

Walking in not far behind Gavin, Jasper rubbed the sleep out of his eyes and plopped down in the seat up front next to the kid that Kitty introduced to him that morning to be Sketch or something like that. He was too tired to be selective with his seating and though he normally sat with Riker and Gavin, he had no desire to after seeing Heather this morning. Nodding to the new kid, Jasper sat back and tried to get out of his groggy state out of respect for Kitty. Out of all the teachers, she was hands down his favorite and he would never disrespect her by not showing up for class or being disrespectful in class.
"Good Morning Ms. Kitty," he said with a yawn and settled back in the chair. Jasper barely got any sleep last night, as he was too excited about finally telling his love all those feelings he kept bottled up inside for so long. She may have been a little cold, but it was to be expected. After the initial hurt had past, he realized that because of his fear of rejection and insecurities about his former set of wings, he wouldn't allow himself to get to know her as much as he would like, nor her to get to know him. It was high time for Jasper to move past that, to allow his heart to open up to the beautiful woman that haunted his dreams and thoughts, that he knew was a gift from God to the world.
Looking over at the next table, his eyes caught Ana's and Heather's giving them a slight smile. His eyes sharply moved to the guy at the table on the other side of them, narrowing when he saw the blatant look of admiration on his face from looking at the two girls, though he couldn't be sure which of them. <Riker is right, having pretty girls on the team is a hassle. He won't like this,> he thought turning back to the front of the class. "Vhen do ve get out test results back Ms. Kitty?" he asked suppressing another yawn.

Alejandro entered the class with one hand on the back of his neck and the other on that arm's shoulder. He was sore from tip to toes and the only thing that got him out of bed was the promise of more punishments. More punishment in the form of another 'lecture' from Riff~Raff if he failed to attend, and more punishment from Kitty if he did manage to show. He was pleased to be able to avoid the former and excited to receive the latter. More of what he'd gotten the night before was what enticed his mind, but oh the aches of the flesh.
Miss Kitty had come and found him and together they had ventured into a sphere of his training that she said would help him in all things he ever chose to do from that point forward in his life. He didn't believe there was such a thing that if learned would cover any aspect in life that might arise, but she calmly and patiently explained to him that there was. Then she had him consider what she was going to teach him and the dedication he would need and the discipline as well. He swore on his honor and on his pride and on the blood of Spanish Kings that coursed in his veins that he would be earnest and a diligent pupil and he bowed to his Master as she began.
His first lesson in Kung-Fu was a display of his own lack of knowledge. He came to find out that he knew very little indeed about his body, his mind and his spirit. His Master told him she would show him a way to bring unity to all of his forms, beast, fowl and serpent and by learning to move as the wild creatures in his human form he would better be able to control himself as a human would in his animal forms. He didn't believe it possible at first but he had made a promise and sworn his oath to learn all that she would teach and respect that the answers would come in time.
Now though, his body was showing signs it had been taxed beyond it's capabilities and for Alex this was something new. He was always very athletic and even after he battled fierce creatures as fiercely as a creature like himself could, he tended to bounce back rather quickly. This was a different kind of hurt though. It went through him to the marrow of his bones and he realized he was not the same, and never would again be the same. His eyes had been opened to his ignorance and he was compelled to pursue knowledge, though surely wrought with pain it was and it would come at a price. Like clinging to a jaguar's tail as it ran through the jungle, soon enough it would turn and show it's claws, but for now he only wanted more.
Seeing Leah across the room his shame made him blush. lowering his head he walked in front of the whole room to crouch down before her. The stiffness in his legs making it nearly impossible to do so without showing the agony on his face. "I don't know what to say to you that could make it better. I am truly sorry, and I have no excuse for what I did. Betraying you that way was not my intention. I am a ship tossed about on an ocean and you, my only friend, my anchor, I fear I have cut you away. Please forgive me."
He had come to realize all he had done as he had set himself to training and even afterward when he talked at night with Jasper, the fool he was for what he had done in the kitchen and every day before that had been revealed. It was amazing to him the difference in what he thought he was doing and what it was he had actually done. He was grateful to his roommate for taking such time with him and he would heed what the Beta of his team had said. Though he had made enemies, he had also made a friend, and she was not to be dishonored and made to be as a burnt offering.

"No! No, no, no!" Ricki trilled immediately marching over to where Ivy'd just sat herself, slamming the book Ivy had just opened up shut. Ricki could've sworn that Ivy's expressions probably hurt worse than her poison did. "You are not going to sit around this lesson with that expression on your face! I'm not letting that happen. Oh no." Ricki ranted, her voice actually, for once, holding a slight hint of annoyance to it. This was precisely what irked Ricki. She didn't remember saying anything that even vaguely indicated that Ivy should leave her alone. Ivy just had these strange misconceptions in her head that she genuinely needed sorting.
"Oh! Hey- PENNY!" she yelled over at the Asian girl she'd met at the court yard the other day, with a bright smile follow her words. She probably did look quite a sight right now with her ruffled hair and slightly strained smile on her face as she tried to keep her voice on level and avoid the pain seeping into words. Ivy may have thought that she was just doing the right thing by leaving the group to it, but it actually hurt Ricki a lot when Ivy simply walked away from them and sat there all in her lonesome. It made Ricki feel guilty as hell. She turned around to face Penny, after dropping her books on the table behind Ivy's. "Hey! You don't have a partner for this lesson do you Penny?" she asked, curio sly with her hands dropping on her hips. "Well! Here's one for you!" She grabbed Penny's hand without really letting her think twice on it and pulled her along to have her stop right next to Ivy. "There we go! Penny meet Ivy, Ivy meet Penny! Nope, I'm not hearing anything against it Ivy nor Penny- don't even try to speak. Blah blah blah blah blah blah blah."
Ricki popped her hands over her ears to make it clear that she wasn't hearing anything on it. "Now, Leah-" she said with a slight huff, turning on to spot to go get Katana and claim her as her partner but she halted in the action because it seemed to Ricki that her and the slightly outcast New Mutant were having a bit of a serious talk. "-uh. Never mind." She turned back around to face Penny and Ivy with a slight sigh. "Now, excuse me while I go check on BirdBoy." Ricki rolled her eyes as she skipped over to where Joce, the new New Mutant and Gavin were chilling. "Hello again!" she chirped her at Joce and Jax, her voice holding a slight edge to it considering her slight frustration with Ivy still lurked. "Aaaand you." On any average day, one would've expected Ricki to somehow mess up Gavin's hair or wack him across the head with some books, but Ricki hadn't planned today to be an average day when it came to Gavin anyway. She'd wanted to try to avoid him for as much of the day as she possibly could.
But be that as it may, he was still one of her best friends and she'd caught the same bummed out look on his face that she'd seen on Heather's and it had her genuinely worried about her friend. Ignoring most of her instincts within her, she grabbed his elbow and pulled him a little away from the rest of the crowd, nudging him slightly with her elbow, once they were closer to a slightly less crowded desk. Her smile dropped a little as she spoke. "What's wrong, you?" her voice was a whisper and she was pretty sure no one else could hear her except Gavin considering there was a nice buzz of voices filling the classroom since a lot more students had made an entrance.

The perfectly sculpted eyebrows on her striking, yet sweet face rose in both glee and curiosity. "Oh? A new boy? That very good news," Ana said with a smile and sat up straight, biting her lip as she looked around at some of the unfamiliar faces in the class, looking for new boys in particular. There was a very cute guy sitting next to Jasper, but he looked as grumpy as he usually did. The guys sitting at the table next to them also had to be new, and made Ana roll her eyes when she saw the black guy with the dreads making eyes at her. <Oh please, dreads are so tacky.> The other boy next to him was handsome from the angle she could see him, making her head cock to the side as she tried to get a better look at him.
Despite the dreads, the boy next to him was a bit cute too, and as far as Ana thought, if either one of the new boys was this Johnny kid, Heather would be in good shape. "Well, if he in the class, you have several cute boys that may be him. Lucky girl," she said with a giggle nudging her. She gave her friend a small smile, looking up at Gavin in back of them for a second before looking at Heather. "You could use distraction now anyway, and Emma know what she doing too." Ana squeezed her friend's arm and gave her a sweet smile while pushing a strand of hair behind her ear.
"Come, look we getting attention. You look gorgeous and we should take advantage no?" she said with a mischievous grin, nudging her friend to try and get her to smile and cheer up. "See, look at table next to us, the boys look at us. Now would be good time to smile and make nice no?" Ana smirked and winked at Heather, looking over to the boys and playing that whole shy yet interested routine that never seemed to fail, where she glanced at them for a moment and then looked away with that cute smile on her face. Heather was better at it than she was, cause she had that whole 'sweet' thing down pat whereas Ana had to tone down her usual attitude big time to pull it off.

"Wow, so many new boys." Kevin leaned over to the seat next him and whispered to Niki as he watched them all come into class. There seemed to be more boys than girls now, by a big margin, and that was all well and good for him. He was discretely checking them out as they filed in and in the middle of it all he couldn't help seeing Heather and Gavin and how they were acting toward one another.
It was a sad thing and Kevin bit the inside of his cheek. Not that he cared really one way or another, but Heather had been so hopeful, and the feeling was sort of infectious. If he was being honest with himself he would admit that he really did care and he was pulling for the New Mutant and, now that it appeared over, he was honestly saddened. Poor Heather. What a shame. he said to himself with sincerity as he kept scanning the room casually, a slightest of a smile on his face to disarm the wary as he took in all the eye candy to save and fantasize about later.
If the odds were right ONE of these new guys HAD to be gay, or so he hoped. Then, subtle and unmistakable, the sounds of an apology in English with quite a sexy accent, even if it did come out of Chupacabra's mouth, graced his ears. Crooking his head to hear it better and looking before him to glimpse the girl's reaction he was hopeful for something passionate out of her. A slap to his face like the Spanish channel's soap operas, or a tearful acceptance, or something to show she wasn't lifeless inside. He turned to grin at Niki, but then the way she sat there watching the apology before them, his grin dropped and he got the picture. He hoped Katana didn't do anything to make Niki mad.

A giggle escaped from Jocelyn when Gavin came by to greet her, giving him a charming and warm grin. For the most part, she really liked her team. Ricki was a sweetheart and just plain out adorable, and Ian and Gavin were really wonderful and so much fun. She hadn't had a chance to really get to know the rest of her team since she left for the weekend, but she had big plans to get to know them all. Until then though, she glanced back and forth between the built Jamaican guy Romon that she met at breakfast, and the way he was looking at the Hottie Long Legs there.
"You sure about you having dibs Jax?" Jocelyn said in a low voice with a smirk on his face as she watched the little flirting act that she was oh so familiar with. She'd seen it done with her many, many times. "Looks like Dreads over there is moving in, and having better luck than you. She didn't even look at you when she came in, and look at her batting them baby blues at him." Her eyebrows were raised as she blinked her ocean blue eyes up at him, smirk on her face growing all that much wider. "And here I thought you had all this game," Joce baited him, biting her lips as she smirked and raised her eyebrows at him expectantly.
She tossed her long ponytail over her shoulder and couldn't keep a smirk off her face. Not that she wanted to see Jax strike out, she just loved posing a challenge for anyone. Plus Jax looked so adorable when he was riled up. Looking around, Joce was slightly disappointed that none of her favorite eye candy was around, but the two in front of her were more than enough for her to get through class. "I do love extending my eye candy list though," she added in a low voice looking at the pair girls in front of them.

Sometimes it drove him nuts how intuitive Ricki was, and how not any detail seemed to escape her. For the love of everything, Gavin could never hold it her for wanting to be there for everyone. He just felt bad cause a lot of the time it seemed like people took advantage of that part of her. He gave her a half smile and a slight sigh. "Ah things didn't go so well between me and Heather last night. To make a long story short, she wanted something from me that I just couldn't give her," Gavin said quietly with a slight shrug. He wouldn't have had a problem telling her the story, since the two of them were always cool enough to be pretty open with each other, but since class was about to start it probably wasn't a good idea.
"Ah don't worry about it Rubber girl." He gave her his usual grin and put an arm around her as he led her back to their table. "Glad to see you smartened up and came back to me. To think you were gonna abandon your favorite tech partner flat like that. That was just hurtful and cruel," Gavin said in a dramatic voice as he pulled her down next to him at the table he chose. Looking at her face, he sighed when he still saw the concern lingering on her cute face. "Look, I'll tell you what's up later okay? I just don't wanna talk about something that is probably a private issue to Heather out here where anyone can hear us," he said in a low voice, glancing quickly over at Riker on the other side of the room. "Especially with him here," he added expecting to have an angry wolfman stalking him later.
Shaking his head, Gavin bumped his shoulder lightly against Ricki's and grinned at her. "Later, I promise. I owe you guitar lessons anyways. You're taking French? Or is that someone else I'm thinking of? Anyways if you are, I'll bribe you to cut class and comfort me in my time of need." He put his best sad face on and tried to do the big eyes that most girls pulled off but he probably just looked stupid. He didn't care he needed to lighten the mood anyways.
