Just as the man in the video opened the door to reveal Aideen, Mason appeared in the doorway of the rec room, his insides freezing. To see his best friend drugged up and in cuffs made him angry, but to see the man touch her like that made him beyond furious. His mind started racing at that, the dangerous temper that he had learned to control quite well since coming to the school was starting to come to the surface. If looking at his best friend in that situation wasn't bad enough, the anger rose to a whole new level seeing Chopper and that Paragon girl dressed like a sex doll.
The rest of the video has enough to make him shake with fury, the urge to punch something and shoot something were competing against the despair that boiled up in him, an urge to attempt to rip his own skin off just for the sake of feeling something other than that pain of his best friend and those kids being sold to perverts as property, to have their whole lives taken away. When the last scene of Aideen showed, staring into the camera with her dark eyes, time slowed for a moment with Mason. Everything in him stared into the eyes that were normally so guarded but he could almost see the emotions in her eyes. It was like she was trying with everything to say something, and he wished that she could say it to his face in front of him.
"Na, this isn't right, this ain't right at all," he said in a voice that was shaking at fury, contrasting the grief stricken Stoney and Cyclops. "For ^%$#s sake, this is Aideen, she can't be taken down easily, if at all. She's never surprised like that, and hell I've seen her take down guys twice her size and weight. Damnit, she's been severely outnumbered and took them all down, she's taken me down, she can probably take on more than half the damn X-Men. This ain't right." He was doing all he can to keep his temper in check, to not scare the nervous looking kids any more than they already were with what he just saw on that video. "Not just anyone is gonna take down that girl, damnit this doesn't make any %$#@ing SENSE!" In an act of rage and pain for his friend and those kids, his fist propelled straight into the wall, cracking it and pushing right through to leave a hole.
Taking a deep breath, Mason leaned his head against the wall and closed his eyes, trying to get control of himself. It wouldn't be a help to anyone, not anyone in the room and certainly not to Aideen and the kids, for him to lose his temper. His eyes squeezed shut in pain, a shaky breath leaving him; the sounds from the video playing over, the man speaking about Aideen and his plans for her. In his mind, all Mason could see was his best friend, one of the strongest women he knew, tied helpless to a chair, drugged into a paralysis and being manhandled. For a moment he couldn't trust himself to speak, and concentrated on taking some deep breaths. "We woulda heard her if she was anywhere near the mansion, she wouldn't have gone down easy. How the hell did they get her and the damn kids? ^%$#!" He stayed in his position, trying to swallow up the pain he was feeling so he could think with a clear head for a moment, try and figure out how to get the girls and Chopper back and how to best go about it, but he couldn't trust himself to act rationally just yet.

"NOW" He said as the video came to it's end and began to replay "ya see why I ain't in a mood to play with you!!? I told ya to keep yer goddamn eyes on her and whatdija do!?! You left her alone to run off an get nabbed." Logan said spinning around to look at the Headmaster in the midst of his hug with the big Hellion. "I ain't done with you Summers, not by a long shot. Oh," he grabbed him by the shoulder and spun him out of Stoney's grasp to stand face to face with him, thumping his own finger like a sledge hammer to the Headmaster's chest, his way of really getting Scott's attention "and call me pedophile again ya sorry sack a shit" his voice was a vicious mix of threat and certainty "and I promise I'll make ya useless to yer woman!"
He had to get out and away from Cyclops, right then and there, or he was going to do something that he would regret, a thing that would scar those that saw him do it until the day they died. As much as he wished he could do that thing he didn't want to lose control and give in to the man he was in the past, the man who was less human than animal. For as much as he had hated Cyclops, hated him since the first moment the two had met, Logan didn't want to be responsible for making the worst situation he could dream of even worse. "I need some air. You just got real lucky."
He realized he had something to check on as he suddenly remembered there was that pop of Aideen's scent when he'd first returned to the grounds. Before the day burned too brightly and the wind had it's chance to whisk it away he had to see what it meant. He was going to see if he could find the spot from where she was taken, since it occurred to him that her struggle had to be the scent marker he was smelling and any clue to who had done the taking would have to be there. "Real damn lucky, I'm gonna see what I can find outside, I think I know where she was when she was taken. Caught a scent when I got back earlier." Shooting Scott a final look he turned and walked out.

Ocean blue eyes wide in surprise, Jocelyn looked at Logan as he stormed out of the room, her breathing still a little heavy. It was strange since she had seen Logan and Scott fighting since she first got there, to the point where she expected it every two months or so and at least three times a year the fight escalated to half of the school or at least several rooms being destroyed, but this one seemed... well definitely the worst in terms of high emotions. She had actually gasped when Scott called him a pedophile. That was without a doubt the worst thing he had ever said to him, and those two were a big reason why Joce learned so many curse words at an early age.
She looked over at Emma then, her heart constricting at the look that passed over the Headmistress's face as the video tape played over again. Emma had always been the strong one, the one who's mind went straight to logic before emotion so to see it even pass through her face. Jocelyn swallowed hard as she dared peek over at Scott, still feeling a bit shocked and only a little bit angry that he dared call Logan such a horrible name. As much as she wanted to be mad at him, looking at him made her anger slowly melt. He looked so worried and almost heartbroken as the man on the screen moved to inspect Ember with his hand, a look that honestly Jocelyn never expected to see on his face again.
It seemed that he was as desensitized to all the horror that they faced as she was, but now it was like she was eight years old again and watching him deal with another student or friend in pain. Swallowing hard, Jocelyn took a deep breath as she found herself torn between two people that she loved very much, and not for the first time either. Whenever they fought when she was little, Jocelyn would always go and comfort one of them in that unique way that she had come to learn over the years with all the X-Men. It was an internal battle for a moment, before Jocelyn wordlessly stepped forward and took Scott's hand with both of hers, looking up at him with a soft smile on her face. Scott never liked the big show of comfort, and she knew better than to do that in front of all his student.
A small smile came on her face as she looked in his eyes through the quartz ruby glasses, trying to give him that little bit of hope she had seen him give others so many times and never asked for the same in return. Jocelyn let go of his hand and one of her hands moved over Stoney's hand for a second, her soft fingertips tracing softly against the hard stone as she walked away and headed out the door after Logan. She knew she'd probably have to fly overhead to find him at this point, but Jocelyn didn't want him to be alone and after all those years she knew how to act around him in this state and she knew that it was better for it to be her than some of the other kids that might try to follow.

She walked, side-stepping over to her boyfriend, as her eyes didn't stray from the video playing through yet again. Not, at least, until she got to his side. "Let me see." She held her head up for him to lift his own so she might examine the solid shot he had taken from the adamantium boned gym teacher.
"It's not that bad, and Tracy is on her way up along with Hank. The rest of the X-Men I have also notified and they should be here shortly. As for the rest of the student body I will make it so they cannot seem to locate the rec-room, their ears will hear nothing emerging from this room, and they will forget where they were coming, only to return to where they had left from.. at least until we get a plan of action. Those who know already I am also informing to remain silent on this matter." She concentrated on the tasks her mind was performing as her fingers traced across Scott's mangled jaw.
In truth his jaw was a hideous sight, lacerated and swollen, but she kept pressure on the open wound even as he flinched from the soreness of it all. "You didn't have to call him that. He obviously blames himself and feels bad enough, and yes, he knows he should be ashamed of his affair.. but believe it or not, well I myself was a bit shocked at this realization.. when I took as deep a look into his mind as I could he shows no sign of shame, no intent on rationalization, nothing I would expect to find in a man who was not truly.. in love." The words lingered in the air for a second.
"I know the two of you have never seen eye to eye on much, but this situation is just as the girls have said- bigger than whatever issues the two of you have." She looked back at the screen as the sound of Chopper being tased again filled the room. "We have to get our children back at any cost. I have looked for them with my mind, yet I cannot find them. Perhaps with the aid of CEREBRA I can locate them in a matter of minutes, but I wont leave yet. We need to face this as a team, and as a family." She glanced around the room at the faces looking to her then for strength.

From the ceiling, Kitty fell through on to the ground and landed shakily safely on the floor in the rec room, right in the spot that Emma previous occupied. Years of practice and many accidents was how she managed to perfect her little trick without breaking her limbs in the process. Emma's voice had roused her from an incredibly pleasant sleep making her instantly go on alert and rush in as if they were under attack, though that was more for force of habit.
She brushed herself off, still in her pajamas and rubbed the sleep from her eyes. "Mmmm..." Kitty groaned and allowed herself to yawn since she saw that they weren't under attack. "What's going on? I thought you said it was trou-" Her sentence was cut off as she heard the voice on screen say Wolverine's voice. Her eyes suddenly snapped to the screen and she watched the video in frozen horror. She was so focused on the video she didn't even notice the others that came in after her.
Being with the X-Men since she was thirteen years old, there was little that Kitty hadn't seen, but unlike most of the others, she didn't think that she would ever get used to the horrors that existed in life. To see the kids in the school on screen, Liv dressed like some sicko's play thing, Chopper being tased on the floor, and Aideen immobile and helpless... it made bile rise up in her throat. Her hand flew up to her mouth and she slowly had a greenish look to her with her eyes so wide she was surprised they didn't fall out of her skull. "Oh God..." Kitty couldn't quite register what else was being said as she kept watching the video to try and get her mind together.

While others had only looked sick, Ian personally couldn't stomach it anymore. Watching Aideen be touched by some creep, and then seeing that little dude Chopper getting tased and then Liv dressed like that... it was too much for him, even after the gruesome stuff he witnessed. He grabbed the large trashcan in the back of the rec room and stuck his head in it, pretty much emptying the contents of his stomach as he just couldn't take it anymore. He remembered what it was like when he first stumbled upon the shredded bits of clothing that belong to Aideen in the woods after the Brotherhood Attack, the sick and twisted feeling that welled up inside him at the thought of all the things that could have happened to her. At the current moment, the same feeling returned but with a vengeance that conquered his iron stomach.
The idea of what would happen to that little dude and to his friends, what they would be used as and their fate... he couldn't take it. Retching sounds came from Ian for a couple of minutes, his mind taking on an almost drunk feeling as the sounds from the video kept ringing in his ears. He sat down on a chair and grabbed a tissue to wipe his mouth. Throwing the tissue again in the garbage bag, he slumped against the back of the chair and rubbed a hand over his face, trying to get himself together.
"This is sick, seriously sick man," Ian said in a scratchy voice staring again at the video. He didn't know how to act, or what to do. He was confronted with another situation that he never thought he'd face. Stuff like that was supposed to happen on TV and in those crime novels, but never in real life. He could barely wrap his head around it. Aideen was his friend, even if she didn't exactly jump up in joy when he was around, or say anything all that nice to him, he still cared about her. Even though he just met Liv, he felt a really strong connection with her. She was a chill chick, like a blast from some of the friends that he hung out with at home. Chopper man, that was just cruel beyond belief. It was going to take a minute for all this to settle before he could be remotely useful.

"Aww Ian" Niki whispered as she stepped behind him sitting there in his chair. She was being torn apart inside over all that she was seeing and all she had taken a hand in. It hurt her to know he wouldn't want her to hold him, or comfort him overtly. Not just because of his stupid rules about displaying her affection for him but also because of how she had kept her friend's leaving to herself. The best she could do was to try to comfort him discreetly and hope he didn't connect the dots about her covering for Aideen until later. The look he would give her would kill her, she could see it in her mind's eye then as she let her fingers trace through his hair soothingly to try to give him some relief.
His head was all sweaty and she didn't mind it at all, but she could tell it wasn't helping him so she stopped and let her hands rest on his shoulders for a moment before she stepped back and away from him. Sadly she shook her head and closed her eyes as she folded up into herself. She let her forcefield cover over her as she slumped down to sit on the floor leaning up against the side of the couch. It was nothing more than the only comfort she could count on lately, as it had been so often in her past, and even at that she felt it kept her distant from everyone in her life. In a way she liked that, but it was sad to think that she needed to be apart from everyone when she had only started to get more comfortable with the idea of being a people person.
She didn't know what to do then. She was out of her element as more of the teachers arrived and it made no sense to her why Emma couldn't find them with her mind. She knew for herself it was difficult and it wasn't until she was able to peel back her forcefield slightly that the mutant locator could get a read on her location. It was what she counted on when she had run away, only to be found by the Brotherhood and forced to be the foundation of Magneto's newest twist on a tired old theme. Right then it dawned on her "So they're what, like shielded or somethin?" She said looking up at Emma. "Who's got the means to shield em from you?"

"I'm here, what's up?" Shan said running into the room. She had been in the middle of sorting the books out for the day when she heard Emma's voice in her head. It wasn't often that they were called this early in the morning, and it made her extremely nervous that she told them to brace themselves. Her eyes first went to Emma and Scott, who had a nasty looking bruised gash on his face before her eyes flickered to the large screen television that looked like some kind of video started playing. It was then when a feeling of horrible dread dropped in the pit of her stomach.
Everything around her disappeared, Shan just watched the screen in horror. It was obviously addressed to Logan, and her eyes widened at the implication of Aideen being his lover, and the shock took her a moment to take in the fact that the newest addition to the X-Men was made completely immobile and being violated. The second Chopper came on screen though, it made her insides twist in horror. A gasp left her lips and she started violently shaking, a small yelp leaving her lips when she saw Chopper, her sweet little guy, fall to the ground from the taser. "No no no no no no no! Oh God!" She shook her head as she kept her eyes glued to the screen, not wanting to believe what she was seeing.
Tears ran down her face, but she didn't notice. It was getting difficult to breathe, difficult to stand. Shan didn't even notice that her knees gave out and she fell forward on her knees. "No, he's sleeping. He's just upstairs asleep... This is some sick joke," she kept muttering over and over again, shaking like a leaf. She couldn't even speak anymore, it hurt to speak, she didn't even know if she was saying anything intelligible. Chopper was her responsibility, she was supposed to keep him safe, she was going to keep him shielded as long as she could, keep him away from this horrors. "This isn't happening, this isn't happening," was all she could say through the blurring of tears that clouded her eyes.

Rogue stumbled in a step behind Shan, still half asleep and none too pleased about having been woken up by Emma’s voice in her head. Not a word passed her lips as her emerald eyes swept the room. She’d been told to ‘brace’ herself and coming from Emma Frost at this hour sure as hell didn’t mean birthday cake in the rec. The Mississippi marvel took it all in quickly; Scott’s battered jaw, the comatose stranger on the couch, Diesel forcibly expelling the contents of his stomach in the corner… and the nightmare on the plasma.
The X-Man wasn't even aware of the low growl rumbling in her chest as Shan fell to her knees, muttering her denial and disbelief at the horror unfolding before their eyes. Rogue's focus was on the audio coming at them in surround sound, on the words that were simply too outrageous to even compute. The shadowy figure’s tone was quiet, amused, but he may as well have been screaming as he taunted Logan from some unknown location.
Logan, you son of a bitch, she thought, her thoughts hardly more than garbled rage. Suddenly Scott’s whammy made perfect sense and her hands balled into fists inside her gloves. When Ah get my hand on you, old man, you’d better bet Ah won’t be near so easy to swat.
She was going to kill him.
Possibly with her bare hands.
Rogue’s jaw clenched in barely contained fury as she watched Ember groped and powerless to stop it. This is what Logan's tryst had brought them. Ember, despite Rogue’s protests, no matter how ill-contrived her promotion, was one of the X-Men and she and two students, one of them an Alpha were at the mercy of madmen. Ah hope you're proud of yourself. The BOTH of you, she snarled in her head as Chopper’s plaintive cries filed the rec room.Jewel bright eyes burning from within, Rogue practically hissed. “Get up, Shan. Get up, now.” She didn’t care that she was harsh, but there were students still in the room and anything other than immediate planning and action were wasted thoughts and deeds. Her mind was focused on Chopper’s voice, his shriek’s shredding her to pieces inside while outwardly she took as strong a stance as she could muster. “You ain’t doin him any good pretending he’s safe upstairs. Get. Up.” She looked to Scott and Emma, her expression absolutely ferocious. “Find’m, Emma. Find’m and point me at’m.”
She wanted nothing more than to bring that shadowy figure on the television into the light, and then pummel him straight down to the pits of hell.

"Chill for a sec Rogue, you can't expect everyone to be prepared for this kind of thing," Bobby said gently, kneeling down next to Shan to put his arms around her. "C'mon kiddo, no more tears. We'll get them back." His voice was low and soothing, not holding any tone of lightheartedness or jest like it usually did. He entered the room just as the shadow faced man opened the door to reveal Ember, and it made his stomach turn. The rest of the video wasn't any better, and it made the old familiar feeling of dread well up inside him. Far too many times did he face the threat of his students and friends in danger or close to death, but in a way this was worse. These were just a couple of kids that forcibly had their entire lives taken away. Bobby would be damned if he didn't do anything in his power to bring them back.
"Come on Shan, up you go. We'll get them back," he said soothingly, holding the thin shaking body of his friend up as he stood back on his feet, his hand rubbing over her back. Looking from Scott's face to the video, swallowing back his own hurt to try and register exactly what the man was saying. Wait... lover? What? Huh? Bobby's eyes went wide and he felt a whole wave of emotions pass through him, unable to decide what to settle on. It was the horror from what was happening to the kids and the newest X-Men, the shock that it could actually happen, and the utterly flabbergasted at Ember being called Wolverine's lover.
"Seriously?... Wait really? What- Huh? Oy Vey,"Bobby slumped against the wall, an arm still wrapped around Shan while he brought a hand to his head, rubbing his temples. "This is just... like a really really intense soap opera. Oh man. How did this happen? When did this happen? What the hell?!" He didn't know what else to say, the shock still settling him and racking his entire mind. It was like his mind couldn't settle on a coherent emotion and made Bobby sound like a blithering idiot.

This can't be good at all Tracy thought as she looked over at Beast beside her in the elevator. The feelings she was sensing from his emotions let her know she wasn't the only one with concerns. "Did she tell you? I mean it's no coincidence we're both feeling the same thing and that we made haste for the elevator at the same time right?" She looked at herself then, still slightly dripping, toweled off, yet just wet enough from the pool to still have drops falling. "Sorry, I'll get a mop later." She didn't bother to change, Emma had made it clear her presence was required post haste, so with her towel wrapped around her and bare feet she had rushed up to the end of the hall, finding Beast there as the doors of the elevator opened.
The two rode up in the elevator side by side and the slight scrunch of his eyebrows together gave her her answer as the doors opened up again to reveal the foyer before them. Stepping out as Henry, ever the gentleman, 'held the door' for her. "Thank you Doctor," she said and as they made their way up the long hallway that connected the front of the building to the cafeteria in the back something began to overcome her. The closer to the rec room they got the more she could feel it, a sickening feeling. The swirl of emotions she was sensing was like a creeping ick that grew from the pit of her stomach. The air became thick to her, her lungs finding it harder and harder with each step to draw in the air, the dense sorrow-filled air. Until they got to the rec room itself and stepped inside.
The sheer raw emotion, the very room choked with it and all the sadness, dread, rage and regret it held, crushed her as if she were sucked under a huge wave. She couldn't focus on much as even though she had done her best to brace for whatever might greet them there, she was hardly ready for this. All of her will, all of the skills at blocking herself off, all the time she had taken to learn how to withstand the emotional onslaught of other peoples feelings she likened to a paper wall as she felt it all ripping through and overwhelming her. Faces, sadly staring and heads hanging down, the smell of fresh vomit in the air, her boo with his fists balled up and Bobby pulling Shan up to her feet as Emma turned to look and Scott's face swollen and gory. The last thing she saw as she passed out and the blur of the room swirled past her was the huge television screen, a drugged Aideen being groped, and then blackness.

"Oh my stars and garters," Hank said reaching out right away and catching Tracy in his arms before she hit the ground. He shifted her in his arms to get a better hold on her as he stared at the video playing on screen. It was certainly the last thing he expected, the man speaking in such a voice that it sent chills down his spine. With great care, Hank laid Tracy down carefully on the loveseat by the door, keeping his eyes on the screen critically. His heart lurched at the sight of the children and his newest colleague on screen, though he had yet to find out exactly what was going on.
He watched intently with wide eyes up until the end to when the video started over, all the pieces falling into place in his mind as to what was going on. Hank's eyes widened at the accusation of Wolverine engaging in an intimate relationship with Ember. 'Oh my stars and garters is right. Although... oh my, how did I miss it? How could any of us have missed it?' He blinked in shock, and tried not to let himself be affected by the images on screen. The silent sobs coming from Shan already told him that he needed to try and keep a cool head, though based on the circumstances he still needed to take several deep breaths to calm his nerves. There have been many times where he learned of his fellow mutants being in danger, but something like this... it surpassed everything and they were just children as well, at least two of them were for he could never rightfully call Ember a child in his mind.
Looking over at Scott, he cringed when he saw the state of his face, knowing instantly where it came from, or rather whom it came from. "I take it Logan has already set out to find them? I can't even imagine how he feels," Hank said with a sigh, rubbing his temples to try and get his mind together. "Do we have any clue whatsoever on what happened to them? They couldn't have just randomly disappear from the school, and I certainly didn't hear a commotion." Hank sighed and tried to think around what might have happened. "Ember would have put up a very good fight, and Chopper would have instantly called for you Emma, we taught him that from the moment he arrived here." Looking around at the anguish on everyone's face, he wondered exactly how much they knew.
His large furry hand stroked Tracy's head softly, knowing the emotion in the room must have been too much for her to handle. Hank peered over at Scott closely, trying to gauge how he was handling it, as he did have a soft spot for Ember in his heart. "Scott? Are you fairing alright?" he asked gently.

Being that Piotr woke early to tend to the horses along with some other students, it took him a little longer to get there than it did the others. When he did finally arrive, he came just in time to see the video starting, with the man speaking in a heavy accent that Piotr was quite familiar with. He leaned against the door frame to watch the video with terror filling his mind. It was the worst nightmare for all of the X-Men, to see their own children be put in the sort of danger that would leave them at a fate worse then death.
Like many others in the room, he felt his insides twist to see the newest X-Men rendered completely helpless and immobile, drugs pumping through her system to keep her subdued. It was something Piotr never thought possible to witness. To see Chopper, such a young boy that managed to put a smile on all their faces with every encounter to have his entire life taken away, it was hard to even cope with the idea. It hurt just as much to think that Liv had come to the school for hopes of a better life only to end up in that position.
Piotr took a deep breath and tried to process everything, tried to understand exactly what the man was saying and look past the images that the video displayed. He placed his hands on Kitty's slim shoulder's, squeezing the in comfort as he closed his eyes and tried to understand exactly what was said. In his mind, he said a silent prayer to God, praying for strength for all the X-Men to get them back, and praying for the X-Men and the two children to have the strength to survive it all.

With the sound of imploding air and the sulfuric scent of brimstone Kurt arrived in his own way with a ~BaMF~. Dropping to the ground just slightly with Ricki cradled in his arms he placed her on her own two feet right next to him and watched what he had already been forewarned of by the young blonde Acolyte. It didn't take the sting away and even as he was braced for the worst, since the worst was what it took for Emma to say 'brace yourself', he was not prepared for what he saw.
There were few things that he held dear in this world, to the next is where he found himself more and more contemplating and looking toward, but here on this plane the sanctity of the home and the love of friends that were closer than family were those things he held most dear. A silent prayed mouthed on his lips as he stood watching the video. The words ringing in his heart for his two children and of course for Shan's as well, but also he prayed for the strength from heaven above to hold it all together and be a pillar upon whom others could lean. This last part he did not pray selfishly, but for his family, so that he might be able to shore up their strength and their resolve.. yet the first part was for himself, a selfish request that God above keep the children safe. Selfish, indeed, for his own heart could not bear the loss he feared and so he prayed to keep them safe and to selfishly protect his own heart from breaking. It surely would if they were unable to save them, and the power of prayer was an amazing thing. The Almighty was able to move mountains, for he alone created them, and better still could move others to move mountains and overcome all manner of obstacles in their path. Little did he know that Gods hand was already at work moving Kurt's own Dante to act alongside Jax, a greater testament to the power of the Lord never had been shown.
Looking around the room, his fellow X-Men and a handful of the children all together, he realized it was not a time for prayer alone but also for action. Tracy was waking, no doubt overcome as she used to be when times of immense emotion were upon all around her and with a BaMf-BaMf he teleported to return with a glass of water for her. Handing it to her gently as he and Hank sat her up he surveyed the rest who were gathered there. Aside from the strange boy on the sofa only Ian seemed to be looking the worse for wear as he knew Scott's face was beyond his scope and would require the healer's touch. "Drink ziss liebshen, it vill help you. Focus on my voice und know zhat you are blessed to be able to feel all zhat ve are feeling." He helped her raise the glass to her lips "Goot, jou are needed.. as ve all are. Breazhe, ja zhat is goot. O.K. anozher sip... ja." He looked up at Hank for the doctor's silent opinion as the sounds of the video filled the room again with the screaming and the sound of a child being electrocuted.

"Alright, enough!" Scott said pulling away from Emma's mothering touch with a scowl and reaching a hand up to cover his wounded pride shown in the wounded flesh of his face. "And enough of this" he motioned around the room with his free hand to each person's little zone of woe as he stepped before them in front of the television. "THIS - This, what you're doing right here" he said looking to each face as he said it, so not a single one of them felt left out "this does nothing, this doesn't get the job done. So take a minute and pull it together because we don't have time for pouting or posturing. Somebody turn this thing off." he said thumbing his hand back to the TV behind him.
"By tonight our friends will be lost to the world, but tonight is thankfully a few hours away, so we can't waste any more time" his tone softened then "alright?" He looked around at them all again, this time a concern for them and their feelings showed in his face. "This is horrible, of that there is no doubt, but we're better than this- we can get through this together. I need each and every one of you to pull yourselves up and if the person next to you needs help then you give them some of what you got inside you and we all stand together. Strong. For our friends, and for each other."
The tenor of his little speech was stirring to say the least, and the swollen jaw and blood that found it's way out from between his fingers only served to make what he was saying even more impassioned as he spoke more of what it meant to be who they were and how there was a time for everything they were feeling. "..but we'd better not spend any more time crying in our cheerios because these are minutes we will never get back, and when the end draws near that's when we're really gonna need them."
"Game plan, game plan, right we need a game plan-" he was thinking out loud "O.K. first off, Emma is going to go and locate them with CEREBRA, my face is killing me so, Tracy, I'll need a fix here to think clearer but this school needs to run smooth so it's business as usual for the rest of the kids. That means Rogue, you and Kitty and myself are out of this one so in our place you students will be filling in. Consider yourselves deputized or probationary X-Men or well, I don't care what you call yourselves but do NOT let us down. Do not let your FAMILY down." The pain was intense and only getting worse, everyone could see it as it shown on his face.
"Uh, hold up. Kid on the couch- right, Emma dive into his mind before you head down to CEREBRA and pick through his memory.. find out who sent him." He walked over toward his Corsair healer and tried to think through some options. "Can't trust that Logan will come back but Jocelyn is with him so he's got backup at least." He reached his free hand up to grab the front of his head "Probably better that way - head is killing me." He would have a better idea what to do after he got some more intell and the fractured jaw and splintered skull that suddenly started a flow of nearly black looking blood draining straight out of his nose healed. His knees wobbled beneath him as he reached forward to hold onto Beast to stop from falling.
