Lorelai returned the smile given to her, though Heather looked as if her head was elsewhere. She looked at her curiously, and was about to ask what was wrong when she saw her get up with a bit of a confused look. "Um," Lorelai said, as she was not in view of the windows therefore she couldn't see anything. She got up, however, and walked to the window Heather was looking out of and saw the same weird flying thing. It looked like a motorcycle or something, and could make out in the darkness that there were two people on it.
She squinted to try and see it better, but shook her head to answer the question asked of her. "I've no idea what it is," she said, wondering who was on it and why they were heading toward the school. Though, seeing that it came closer and lower, she saw that it went into the hangar below ground as she saw that the basketball court was opening up to give the machine and its riders entrance. The details still weren't visible, but she had a feeling that it the people riding were people from the school. Also, no alarms had been set off so they must have been safe to enter. "Wonder what they're doing," she wondered aloud.

Heather's mind whirled in fright. Her body grew stiff. Who the hell are they? she asked herself. She bit her lip, dreading to see if it was indeed the Brotherhood attacking again. She spoke to Lorelai but remained looking at the figures on the flying vehicle. "Could it be them?" she whispered.
She squinted and leaned against the glass, pressing her palms against them making her fingerprints stain the window. It can't be them, it just can't be. Not so soon. She thought about the Brotherhood. They were hurt just as badly as the other students were, maybe even worse. Unless they had a healer just like HeartString working with them. Her heart pounded hard in her chest, however she was able to relax seeing that Lorelai wasn't as alarmed. Was she overreacting? She didn't know.

Lorelai watched as the contraption and its riders disappear under the ground and watched as the basketball court closed back up again as if it never opened. She glanced over at Heather to see her with her face right at the window and her hands pressed against the glass. She looked tense and worried. Lorelai herself wasn't that worried, she didn't think. The logic that had presented itself to her provided enough comfort that it wasn't a threat that was just given passage into the underbelly of the school.
She still couldn't help but wonder who had been riding the flying motorcycle thing, and what they were doing on it at this time of night. But, since it seemed the riders belonged to the school, she was glad they were at least back from wherever they were. The school was a better protection than the outside world, at least for the building's inhabitants.
"You okay there, Heather?" she asked, looking to her friend for a minute after the court closed up.

Seeing the flying cycle enter the hanger, Heather's heart beat slowed. She was able to relax. They had to be from the school. But who? One of the teacher definitely since she didn't think a student would be allowed to ride something like that without supervision. She closed her eyes, helping herself breath and calm herself down. She was being paranoid and stupid. What was worse was that her stupidity was showing a lot lately. First calling her father, then avoiding Jumper, soaking Ian and now this. She was on a role....perfect!
Hearing Lorelai speak to her, Heather nodded quickly and breathed. "Yeah yeah fine," she said nervously. "I'm just still freaked out a bit....from....you know....yesterday." She rested her head on the glass. It was cold, thanks to the weather outside. And it was refreshing. It made her worries dissolve completely and she rolled her head from side to said slowly, allowing the cold window to sooth her.

Lorelai's eyebrows raised slightly at the quick and nervous answer, and then let her face relax as a reason was given for the anxiety. "Ah, yeah, I know, I thought about that too. But I figure, whoever came in has nothing to do with the...evil people," she said, referring to the Brotherhood but not calling them so directly. "I also figure that if it was a threat, alarms would go off," she continued, noticing that Heather had seemed quite edgy since the previous day. Well, who wouldn't? It was enough to shake up anyone, but since she was still keeping thoughts about that from the front of her mind, she looked as if she was in a slightly better state of mind.

Her breathing returned to normal and she nodded slowly. "Yeah you're right," she said, finally realizing why Lorelai didn't seem bothered by the flying cycle. "But who could it be?" She knew that Lorelai wouldn't know more than she did. However she needed to ask, even if a logical answer wasn't available. She sighed, happy she calmed down. She was tired and needed to sleep. It was starting to get to her, and a yawn overcame her body. Once again, she rubbed her eyes and imagined her soft pillow beneath her head, cradling her to sleep.
She stepped away from the glass, noticing how close she was, and looked to Lorelai. She winced to her friend and yawned again.

Lorelai smiled a little as she saw Heather calm down, and tilted her head slightly as she tried to think of who had come into the school. "I don't know, two people from here is my most obvious guess," she answered, even though she knew Heather had to be thinking the same thing. She saw that Heather had yawned and rubbed her eyes, looking a bit groggy, and then stepped away from the window. She saw her wince and she spoke quietly, "Do you want to go off to bed?" she asked. Lorelai herself was on her way to getting tired again, but she wasn't quite there yet.

Heather shrugged as her friend mentioned sleep. Sleep. She definitely needed it since her body was requesting for it. Giving in, Heather nodded and yawned again. "Yeah I guess it would be the best thing huh?" she said with a smile. She started taking lazy, tired steps to the door. "You coming down?" she asked, hoping to have some company. It was OK if Lorelai stayed, she would understand if she wanted to be alone. However Heather wanted to give her something. A gift she had been pondering to give Lorelai. It was the only way to truly patch things up between them and give Heather closure. She needed to get over Ian, and what she was planning to do, was the only was possible.

Lorelai giggled a little at Heather being so tired-looking. "I guess, yeah," she agreed, though she wasn't too tired yet. She watched her take slow steps toward the stairs as she contemplated just staying and looking out at everything for a little more. Hearing her friend ask if she was coming, she inwardly shrugged and decided she could watch the night sky come alive at another time. "Yeah, I'll come with you," she said as she turned from the window to follow Heather to the door. She figured once she got back to her room she'd read some more and listen to music, but quietly.

Heather smiled, happy she had some company going back to the dorms. She was also happy that she would be able to give Lorelai the gift she made. It wasn't made for her of course, however after seeing it finished, it would be a nice gesture and symbol of Lorelai and Ian's relationship.
She rubbed her eyes again and looked to her friend. "Glad you're coming because I have something to give you," she said with a smile. She was happy she was able to have a conversation with the ice girl without being mean or on her toes to make a quick come back. Although the brawl they had during the Christmas party was quite humorous.

Returning the smile, Lorelai tilted her head a little. What would Heather have to give to her? She remembered that she had given her a snowflake necklace at Christmas, but what else? It confused her a little bit, but she'd go along with it. Either way, she wasn't going to complain now that she and Heather were on good terms. She preferred being friends rather than having to sling rude comments and come backs at her and fight over stupid things. She liked being nice better; it was more her.
"Okay, well then let's go," she said with a little laugh, letting her tired friend lead the way back.
