After a good night's sleep, Lorelai awoke to a bright sunny winter morning. She felt simply great and awake and happy. Though the shadow of the previous day's events still hung over her, she supposed she could say she felt a little better off than some of the others, but she still wondered where exactly the whole thing started, especially since it had looked as if it started before Aideen had come carrying Mystique's disguised body.
Though still determined to find out all that had happened, she wanted to chill out for a bit, so she headed to the rec room after throwing on a plain t-shirt, hoodie, and jeans and plopped down on the couch and switched on the tv. Training would come later, she figured, but now she'd just stick around here for now. She figured Ian would find her here soon enough, and when he did, she'd be a hell of a lot more happier. Till then, she flipped through the channels, trying to decide on what she wanted to watch.

Ian slept like a rock most of the night, thankfully having a dreamless sleep. When he woke up, Ian took a very long shower. He still thought of yesterday's events and how fresh they were in his mind. All he wanted to do was play in the snow yesterday morning with his two friends. And then Aideen ran in with a changed Mystique in her arms and everything changed. He still couldn't get the image of the distressed and pained look on Aideen's face when she ran up to them. Granted, he knew that in all aspects, he could not really say that him and her were firends in any way. But he had known her long enough to know that it wasn't common for her to look so scared and pained. He wondered if he would be able to find anything out from her about the missing pieces to the story. At the same time time, Ian wondered if Cyclops knew the entire story.
As Ian though of all this, He got dressed in a pair of jeans and t-shirt. Before he left for downstairs, he grabbed his gray hoodie from his closet. Ian climbed down the stairs, and for once didn't feel as hungry as he thought he would. That was odd for him, he usually was always hungry. But with everything that happened he was still thinking about it and that made him lose a bit of his insatiable appetite. When Ian heard the TV in the rec room he walked in the doorway and saw blue hair peeping out of the top of the couch. He folded his arms and leaned against the doorway with a small smile on his face. "Hey there Pipsqueek," Ian said tenderly as he was instantly warmed just being in the same room with her.

Lorelai was still flicking through the channels, still undecided. She grumbled as she saw nothing interesting was on, and kept grumbling to herself as she kept changing the channel, getting more annoyed that today was the day the lovely people at the tv signal place had to put on crappy shows. However, hearing Ian's voice address her, a grin instantly replaced the frown that had taken over her face.
Turning her head to face him, she grinned bigger. "Hey Apeman," she said playfully, getting up off the couch to go to him. She greeted him with a cheesy smile and a kiss, and looked up at him, "Hey," she said again. "You came just in time," she said, laughing a bit and taking his hand, "There's absolutely nothing on and I was looking forward to watching something," she said, laughing again as she headed back to the couch.
Sitting back down on the couch, she picked up the remote and sighed. "Nothing on," she muttered, looking at it and shaking her head. "Ah well, things just got a lot better now you're here," she said, smirking a bit. "So how'd you sleep?" she asked, looking over at him.

Ian grinned when she kissed him, feeling better already. He walked over to the couch with her and slid next to her. Reaching out with one arm, he lifted her up and across his lap, with her knees resting on his thighs and Ian was able to wrap his large arm around her comfortably and held her close. "I slept alright. Like a rock really. Once I hit the sheets I was pretty much out. Though I did have a lot on my mind and all," he said and nuzzled her neck a bit. "But you Pipsqueek made it all better," he said into her neck.
While he did that to distract her a bit, Ian grabbed the remoute from his unsuspecting blue haired girlfriend and flipped right to a college football game. He grinned at her sheepishly. "Now this I could get used to babe. Watching the game with my hot girl, or in your case a bit chilly," he said with a laugh as he rubbed her colder than average skin.

Lorelai smirked as Ian picked her up and put her across his lap and giggled a bit as he wrapped his arm around her and held her close to him. Safe to say she was in her happy place again, and looked at him as he spoke. "That's good, I slept like that too, I laid down and I was gone," she laughed. She grinned as he continued to speak and then giggled again as he nuzzled her neck and then mumbled against it. "Good," she laughed, tickled by the way it felt.
She then felt the remote slip out of her hand and she looked at her muscular boyfriend and gave him a playful glare. She watched as he turned on a college football game and rolled her eyes. Football was better than nothing and she liked it enough. Looking at Ian again, she smiled at his sheepish grin and smirked when he spoke. "Likewise, I could definitely get used to this. And shush you," she laughed when he regarded her bodily coldness. She was kind of surprised he didn't mind it; ever since her mutation had arisen people shied away from touching her, but he had no issue with it as she felt him rub her skin. She smirked and leaned against him comfortably as she watched the football get thrown around and big burly football players knock each other over.

Watching the game, Ian continued rubbing his cute little girlfriend's bare skin, feeling an odd urge to warm it just a bit. It made him feel good knowing it was pretty much his warmth that she was getting. Ian kissed the side of her head and continued watching the game. He wasn't really watching it though. Yesterday was still on his mind. There were several images he just couldn't shake from his head. Though they weren't all bad. He still had the look on Lorelai's face after he kissed her for the first time fresh in his mind, as well as coming back into consciousness and seeing her sweet worried face. Those were images that could stay with him for awhile. But Ian wished he could get other images out of his head, like watching Lorelai stuck in that ring of fire looking so scared and helpless. And the broked and heart shattering look that didn't seem to leave Aideen's face.
Ian sighed and cradled Lorelai to him, just happy to be with her. When he thought about it, they really did mesh well together. He wondered if she had shown signs of liking him before...
Ian thought of this as he rubbed her cold skin and stared blankly at the TV.

Lorelai smiled to herself as Ian continued rubbing her skin gently. Though she was cold, he was warm, but it was a pleasant warm, one that didn't hurt her. This definitely worked for her. Her eyes glanced over at him when he kissed the side of her head as he watched the game, but it didn't seem as if he was really watching it. He had kind of a blank stare, and a wild guess said he must be thinking about everything that happened yesterday. She couldn't blame him, it was on her mind too.
She leaned into him as he held her to him, and she looked at him as he stared at the tv. "Thinking about yesterday?" she asked, lightly kissing his cheek. She thought as well, thinking of everything that went down. It had all been so crazy, and it was obvious that it would take some time to process through everyone's minds.

Pulling her closer and tucking her body into his side, Ian gave her grim smile. "Yea... I don't know babe, something about yesterday just doesn't roll well with me. I mean, how the hell did Aideen end up with the transformed psycho blue chick? And we don't even know half of the real story and its like... well how the hell did Spitfire get into all that? And what happened to the Wolverine dude?" Ian said as he leaned his head against the back of the couch and sighed loudly.
He moved his head to look at her and gave her a grim smile. "I don't know babe, I mean are you thinking 'bout this too? I really wanna ask Spitfire about it."

Lorelai cuddled into Ian as he pulled her closer and returned his grim smile with one of her own as he spoke. "I have no idea. Something must've happened before she came to us, and she didn't look as if she knew that was that blue chick. She was just as surprised as us, and I still don't know. And with Wolverine? I don't know about him either," she said, frowning a bit as he leaned his head back and sighed.
Her frown went away a little as he looked at her and smiled grimly again. "I am thinking about it, I mean we only know as far as we were a part of it but there's more to it than from what we know. And I know you want to ask her, but now really isn't the best time. You've seen how she looks, and I'm almost certain if you were to do that, you'd get fried for sure, and as much as I like fried things, fried Ian is something I wouldn't like," she said, looking at him seriously.

Ian gave a short laugh. "Yea she did look pretty bad. Nah your right I ain't gonna bug her about this now and I don't wanna bum her out any more than she already is," he conceeded and leaned in to softly kiss his pretty blue haired girlfriend. She was just too sweet sometimes. It seemed that she always had an idea of what was up with him. But those are the benefits of dating one of your best friends.
When they broke away he placed another kiss on her lips and then looked at his watch. "I hate to say this babe but we got practice now. Colossus is setting up on the lawn I heard," Ian said with a half smile. He needed to work out but yesterday was killer. He hoped practice wasn't too hard.

Lorelai smiled as Ian said he wouldn't bother Aideen, she was glad for that. Aideen looked like she needed some time to herself, and she wasn't about to disturb her. She smiled bigger as Ian leaned in to kiss her and she gladly returned it. She smiled again as he kissed her again, and then looked at his watch when he looked at it. She nodded slowly as he mentioned practice. "Yeah I know, back to business, even though we never made it to practice the first time," she said with a slight laugh. She was sort of looking forward to it, but hoped it would be a little bit on the easy side, at least for now.
"Might as well go, huh," she said with a sigh, looking to Ian. She grumbled a little as she got up from her comfortable seat that was her boyfriend, and as she stood up straight, she slid her hands into her pockets.

Ian stood up with her and slipped his arms around her waist, cradling her for a moment and drumming his fingers on her sides. He gave her a small smile and leaned down to kiss her again. He tilted her head back and kissed her quite thoroughly. When he broke away, Ian grinned down at her cheekily. "Well babe, I think that should hold us till after practice. Doubt Colossus has tongue hockey in mind for an excersise. Cause that would just be... well weird," he said with a weirded out voice.
Ian kissed her forehead and then let her go and headed for the dorm. "I'm gonna go change babe, I'll meet you outside," he said with a smile and headed up to his room with a big smile on his face.

Lorelai smiled when Ian wrapped his arms around her waist after getting up, and giggled a bit when she felt him drum his fingers against her sides. She smirked as her head was tilted back and returned his very thorough kiss with pleasure, enjoying it muchly. She bit her lip with a smile as he grinned cheekily, and nodded with a laugh. "Yeah, I know. If only he were that cool," she joked, laughing a bit.
"Okay," she said when when he kissed her forehead and then spoke. She smiled as he left, and then debated for a moment whether or not she should change, and then decided there wasn't too much of a point, at least not really. "Oh!" she said to herself, remembering she had her uniform. Why not go to training and give it a go? She too then left to her dorm and changed into it and headed outside after, getting used to the tightness of it again, but she liked it enough.
