Aideen nodded and lapsed back into silence. She carefully took the groceries from Cyclops' arm and checked if anything was broken. Curiously enough, Aideen never dropped the book. As she checked her things, thoughts swirled in her head, confusing her a bit. Like Ian... that means he can heal! She remembered what it looked like when Ian was shot and when Sabretooth ripped his guts out. He was fine now. But even if Wolverine was healed, why didn't he come back? At least to just let someone know he's alright. No, no, no! She didn't want to gain hope. It is something that always failed for her.
Aideen walked to the door that Cyclops held open and stopped before she stepped out into the cold winter air. She looked up at him with her large dark eyes at Cyclops, finally understanding why he was so respected. He had a sense of authority and command about him just like her Uncle. Except he held his without a harsh tone, but that didn't make him any less respectful. "Thank you... for the book," Aideen said quietly. There was so much more she wanted to say thank you for though. But it was too much to put in words. All Aideen knew was that he gave her a sense of what a family was supposed to be like, not the family that she lived in all her life with her Uncle. It was... nice. She broke her gaze and stepped outside on the way back to her new home.

"Least I could do. Besides you looked at peace and it is well worth it, even at twice the price, for that kind of peace. I don't mind and you will do me a great honor by just enjoying it." Scott said as he followed her outside to get on their bikes and head back to their home, The Xavier Institute.

Aideen went over to her bike feeling a bit better than earlier. Healing ability or not though, she was still the reason why he was hurt. And who knows how badly he was hurt. Those however were worries and thoughts that she would keep to herself. She has bothered Cyclops enough with the story and she didn't want him to keep reassuring her. Besides he probably had enough on her mind, even more so now that she told her part of what happened to her yesterday. It was her duty to let him know what happened to his.... well maybe not a friend but someone part of the school. She told the part of the story that needed to be told.
What happened between her and Sabretooth was nothing that needed to be known.
Aideen zipped open the bag and placed her groceries inside carefully so they wouldn't slid around. She took the book and placed it in an inner protective pocket not wanting to ruin it. She slid on her bike, knowing it would take a bit to warm up. She turned the key in the ignition and pushed the starter button as her engine roared to life. The vibration of the engine under her soothed her in an odd way. She slipped her gloves on as she waited for her Ninja to warm p and for Cyclops.

'Why would she keep something like that from anyone? Maybe I made a mistake in trusting her without hardly knowing her, she is only a kid after all.' He thought as he turned the gas on and pulled the choke lever out on his old Harley Shovel-head engine. The 1960's era motorcycle was impeccably kept and Scott cherished it.
Sure, it took a little more coaxing and a great deal more TLC than Aideen's bike required, but Cyclops was a stickler for the details. He would enjoy cleaning it up after the ride was done, although that might have to wait until tomorrow if they were going to check for Wolverine before the sun went down tonight.
Looking skyward as he kicked his bike's engine over, he saw the changing of the day, the sky had cleared of it's dreary overcast while they'd been in the shops and now brilliant hues painted the nearly cloudless sky. It was beautiful, but that meant it was going to be a far colder ride home.
He pulled off his Ruby-Quartz glasses and slid on his helmet. Replacing his glasses through the lifted face shield of his helmet and pulling on his gloves he looked over to Aideen who was patiently waiting for his Fatboy's engine to warm up and crackle with the welcome "potato-potato" sound that was the hallmark of the Harley Davison engine.
Pushing in the choke lever on his engine he called out to her "I'm good! You ready?"

Aideen placed her helmet on her head and tucked her long thick hair inside. She slipped a wool warm bandanna out of the pocket of her jacket and wrapped it around her mouth and nose to shield it from the harsh winter wind that now seemed much more harsh than it did earlier. Aideen kicked the kickstand back and looked over at Cyclops and nodded politely in answer.
She waited for him to lead the way, the way back was still unclear to her and she did not want them to get lost. He said they would check out the canyon where Logan might be. She didn't get her hopes up, but at least she had told him what he needed to know finally. All because he got her a book. This school was really changing her. She couldn't help but wonder if she would ever tell anyone about Sabretooth. No. That would be divulging far too much now. But at the rate that she was going, Aideen didn't know anymore.
