Lorelai walked away from the fields in between the basketball court and the pool, not caring which way she went as long as she was going back into the building. Her face was still hard as she walked with a somewhat quick place, her gait different than from the normal relaxed kind it had been when she stepped out earlier that morning when she went out to skateboard. She had had enough, she decided, and she wasn't going to take bullshit anymore. Obviously it wasn't going to sit well with the teammates she so obviously defied, but as far as anyone else went, if they didn't like it, oh well. Lorelai wasn't quite in the mood to deal with people, and she felt rather sure if anyone asked her what was going on in her head when she went over to help Rumble, she would tell them with a smile on her face. Shock 'em all. I had enough and I'm done.
It didn't take her long to get to her room, as she was moving in a somewhat fast pace; not that she was running away from anything- maybe just another confrontation she didn't care to deal with, but she just felt like walking faster than usual. Once she reached her room, the door closed with a slam as she looked down at herself again and saw the now dried blood on her chest, stomach, and forearms. Rumble had been bleeding a lot, and Dippy Two just had to pull her down on top of him. She cracked her neck as she grabbed her mini iPod speaker and her iPod, taking it with her to the bathroom.
She started to run the shower and turned on her iPod, the first song playing was the song she had paused it on when she had started talking to Tia. It played out as she undressed, and she didn't worry about someone coming in; there was music playing so it was obviously occupied. Lorelai wasted no time getting in, as she didn't need to wait for the water to warm up; instead it stayed cool. As the water rained down on her she inhaled and exhaled deeply, running her hands through her hair as blood quickly washed off. She closed her eyes for a moment as a new song came on and it made her smile. It made her think, but the thoughts were mostly straightforward. This new defiance in her, this lack of caring for what people thought of her, this new take on things that seemed so much freer than what she felt she used to restrict herself to. It was definitely different, and it was fueled by her hatred for her two teammates.
How did it fall apart? How did it change? What changed in her so that made her different than she knew herself to be? Lorelai thought back as she washed her hair, thought back to about two months ago. Limbo..this was all because of Limbo. My feelings for him had grown a lot over that whole thing, and I trusted him. Then I noticed things were different, and he was all of a sudden so close with her. Then when he told me what happened what I did was something I thought would work in my own defense. I saw it as cheating, so I stopped it before it would happen again. Then he moved on..and I grew bitter for it..so, this is my fault as well. Lorelai's feelings, she found, had not grown, but instead festered like an infection that went bad. Yes, she found herself jealous to see the two together because they got farther than she could, but she didn't want him back. He's not worth it anyway, is he? Got things too easy, she thought to herself with a smirk as she started to wash the dirt and sweat off her body.
It totally turned into some sorta hate thing. It totally did. I don't even know for sure, but I think I kinda like it. I needed it, didn't I? But now I gotta deal with more of their shit after this cause we're on the same team. I don't know how I held this in for the whole time, I should've let go a while ago. One thing I know for sure, I'm not gonna put myself through dealing with these two shits any longer, she thought as she rinsed off and turned off the water. Lorelai wrapped herself in a towel as she stepped out, looking at her wet hair and her face in the steamed up mirror. Her face was still hard, but she found it harbored now this sort of little smirk, and her eyes had a sort of different glint to them. She let out a little laugh and sang along with the lyrics currently playing in her head, You said you wanted evolution, The ape was a great big hit, You say you want a revolution man, And I say that you're full of shit.
Gathering her dirty clothes, her little speaker and a towel for her hair, Lorelai went back into her room and dried herself off, putting back on the clothes she had on in the morning. They were still clean, and as she brushed through the tangles in her blue hair she thought of her next plan of action: going to visit Miss Frost and request a switch of her team. She didn't want to be on it anymore, and she didn't want to have to be forced to deal with some of the people on it. It was as simple as that, and she hoped it would be as simple as that when she would ask it of the headmistress.
