Ricki crashed on her bed, her head burried into her pillow as she breathed out a huff. Hmm, dinner was good - uh, everyone's probably watching that Ranger show thingi at the moment, they always do! I don't really get the obsession with that thing, hmph, can't really be bothered to sit in there today. Ricki sighed into her pillow as she tossed herself over, to stare up at the ceiling. She interlocked her fingers, resting her hand over her stomach, and a knee, as she got herself comfortable.
I'm bored, her eyes started to trace patterns on the ceiling, I could read... but I've read all the books that I own a million times each... and I'm too lazy to head up to the library. Gahh. Hmph, I could do a sudoku or something... or something. her eyes began to unfocus slightly, as she gazed dreamily at the ceiling, before randomly snaping back to reality, huffing out again, before turning her head to face her side. Her eyes dropped over at her keyboard, which lay on a slab, just below the window. ... keyboard! Hmm, I guess that'd be fun. I could try to add music to the song that I'd started writing earlier...
It took Ricki a couple of seconds to push herself off her bed, before streching her muscles, and walking over to her keyboard, and sitting down cross legged on the wooden chair before it. She licked her lips, bending over slightly to pull out her folder in which she kept all her lyrics, written peices of music, and clean music sheets - ready for her to add new stuff on. She pulled out a 'new' music sheet, along with a song she'd began to write earlier that week, placing them both on top of her keyboard, as her eyes began to scan the lyrics.
She started to hum the tune quietly in her head, that she'd made up earlier on while writing her lyrics. Hmm, maybe a E minor flat for this bit, and... F minor sharp for this... She leaned over, turning the switch that was connected to her keyboard on, spinning the volume wheel to it's maximum, before beginning to sing in an undertone to the chords,
Emb "Silence fills my mind,"
Fm# "Darkness Shadows my eyes,"
Emb "Everything seems lost,"
Fm# "Yet all I feel is fine ..."
