With her ever present grace, Veronika allowed Kris to help her out and leaned into him. "Oh guards!" she said loudly in her melodious voice. "Please show us a way out of here and somewhere safe." She looked back at the others and beckoned them. "Oh and would one of you be so kind to help the girl with the blue hair. Tia is really too small to hold up someone that much larger than her." Though Veronika admired the way the Frostbite stuck it to that slut of an albino, and how she set her sights for a man of prestige and money such as Rumble, it was different when it came to her team. She worked hard to get that team in sync, and she wasn't going to have a cowardly Acolyte mess it up.
To her relief and delight, Kat and Dante we're fitting in perfectly despite their less than acceptable appearance. Fleet left them, and Veronika knew that there was always a severe penalty when somebody left a team. She had seen it first hand with her father's men, and it was never pleasant for the deserter. "We must- oof! Yes, yes I'm coming. Please everybody, follow and do try to keep up!" Veronika said as she was pulled by Hemlock to follow the guards. She knew the guards wouldn't let her down, especially with the way she kept her attention.

Tia's eyes hinted no emotion, though her insides were half burning with suspicion and caution. This guard here who was helping her hold Frosty up could turn on them any second, if Allure's charm somehow managed to fail. She tried to have more of a hold on her friend to make sure if the guard did somehow turn on them, she would have a bit more of an advantage, I'll probably need to be quick with the air too, she huffed as she tried her best to hurry closer to the other side, the guard seemed extremely helpful, and didn't seem like he was going to be turning on them anytime soon, but still, she didn't want to take a risk.
As the got closer to the door, a thought struck Tia, Glitch had given them 5 minutes tops, and when the guards got up, that'd mean more fighting, more of a chance of loosing. 'Cause hell would the guards be even more mad, and even more ruthless when they got up. I cant imagine them anymore ruthless but I guess we have to imagine the worst, Tia wracked her brains for things the team could possibly do to help, and her mind landed one of the most basic yet quite efficient tricks she'd learnt during her time at school.
She looked around at all the unconsious Shi'ar guards, and clicked her fingers once. All their ear drums had now popped, so when the got back up, they'd be left confused for a couple of moments because they wouldn't be able to hear anything at all, and when they figured out that they were deaf, they'd just have to rely on sight and smell. "We don't need to worry about being quiet," she called out, her eyes looking over at Freeze-Frame as she exited with Frosty and the Shi'ar guard through the hole Decay had created, "When they wake, they won't be able to hear anything. Might give us more of an advantage." I just hope they don't have some form of weird sixth sense.

"I got you man," Dante said to Chase. He lifted the guy up a bit and with a good deal of effort and got him across his shoulders. "I got you man, we're good," he said and with as much speed as he could, he ran after the group with Chase as dead weight on his shoulders. A flashback of home ran through his mind briefly, how he'd grab the bodies of his gang members after a big fight and run like hell away. Half the time he would end up with blood staining his jacket and shirt, but it really helped him build up his strength.
"Let's go guys move!" Dante yelled to the people in front of him that weren't going as fast as they should. He had practically dead weight on his shoulder and still managed, although to be fair he did have a good deal of practice. He kept running until the turned the corner and were at a safe distance away. The whole time Dante had to lock Chase down over his shoulders so he wouldn't move around as much and so he would have a better grip.

Bowing to Allure's voice, none too deeply as she was not known to herself be royalty simply an honored dignitary wrongly incarcerated. The guards moved to her specifications. "M'Lady the safest place aboard would of course be the Captain's quarters, there or the bridge itself. However with injured members of your entourage we might do well to go to sickbay and have the medical staff look them over." "There's little time for that now!" another of the guards, the one gently and tenderly helping Frostbite called forth from behind, as the alarm was sounding loudly in the central corridor of the Dagger. "Those fools plan to make a giant mess of this error. Compounding what could only have been some awful clerical mistake into what may well turn into an interplanetary incident! Great wings of K'ythri- they are set upon us! To the bridge!!!" The kindly guard had made the choice for the group. Seeing the rage on the faces of those guards pouring around the bend of the corridor he felt the pragmatic choice was what would serve them best. "No use in healing a dead man or woman we have to get them to a safe location!" With pain staffs raised and blood flowing from their ear holes the guards who had waked from Glitch's neurostunning touch found themselves deafened and in pain and knowing something had been done to alter their minds. It was a footrace to the hardened doors of the bridge and the team of mutants looked ahead with excited faces as the doors grew ever closer. A glance behind told them they would not make it in time as pain staffs spat their energy venom in solid shards of plasma. "Down!!" Cried the third guard and with a leap threw himself in front of the blast meant for his red haired mistress. His body fell to the floor lifeless. "Take cover in the door ways!" the first guard called out as he pulled Allure to safety. The Shi'ar helping Tia with Frostbite moved with speed and concern for both of the young ladies, scooping them gently but firmly into the next nearest doorway as bolts of death-heavy energy seared past. "They are not using the stun setting any longer! Everyone be carefu-" at that moment the most deafening sound ever heard was thrust upon them all as.... The hull of The Dagger took a direct hit and began to buckle. The central corridor, which ran the length of the vessel shook and the sound of creaking metal un-nerved all... even, it appeared, the deafened guards- as it was more than just a sound. The explosion has stopped them firing their weapons in the hallway. All present, Shi'ar and Paragon alike, looked at one another as the feeling of the starship's hull tearing open scraped it's way through the metal of the one time garbage scowl. A long moment frozen in time and the children with their training reacted....

Kat screeched as the metal creaked and the floor buckled. Her knees knocked together as she fell against the wall and looked at everyone else with wide blue eyes for a moment. "What in the bleedin' hell was that?" she asked breathlessly as everyone stood paused, noticing that even the guards had stopped firing their death blasts at them. A defiant yet pouty look came on her face as she quickly moved to the nearest Shi'ar guard and kicked him in the crotch with her steel toed boot, using it as more of a distraction to grab his staff of pain and run off, taking Ripple with her as she quickly booked it to one of the closest open doors before they could try to start shooting at them again.
"Hide, Ripply!" she told her as she leaned against the inside wall of the room they were in and looked at how to work it. It looked like a button would do the trick, and hovered her finger over it as she peeked around the door and poked the staff just out of it, aiming at the bad guards as soon as the rest of her team was out of the way, as well as the good guards. She pressed the button a bunch of times as if she were channel surfing quickly to annoy her mother, who liked watching just one thing and skipping it every time she passed by it. Her aim wasn't perfect, but she swore she heard grunting as if there were hits as she hid behind the door again. "Any time we'd like to get out and not feed the fish would be great, aye?" she called out to the others from where she hid. "Don't wanna stay in this unshipshapely place...fallin' apart it is," she said with an audible shudder. "This never happened to me own boat, bloody hell," she muttered to herself as she kept a quite open ear to what was happening outside the door, taking another peek to see what was going on.

"I could really go for a bogie right about now," she yelled at Kat while taking cover again. Lian was pretty pissed that her previous shower meant nothing since she was currently sweating balls. Huffing and puffing with her blackened lungs, she observed the massive explosion's effects and the rest of her team. She wanted to make sure they were OK, especially her best friend Sky. "Let's get the f*ck outta here," she said with an upward inflection to her teammates. "Like.... now!" She stayed alongside Kat and prepared for any asshole aliens or beams to come at them.
It reminded her a lot about home and how drive-byes would happen during the worst times. Growing up in South Central wasn't a picnic, but it wasn't as bad as the movies made it out to be. The gangs weren't ones to really expose themselves frequently. However the death tole was pretty accurate. Lian's own mom was shot in the shoulder by a ricochet in the grocery store her parent's owned. Hitting the aorta artery, the largest in the body, she bled to death then and there. Lian was too busy getting drunk at the time with her friends and her father wasn't able to contact her until the next day...
Shaking away the thoughts, Lian clenched her fists and jaw. "What do we do now FreezeBitch?" she asked sarcastically. "Oh masta lord and savia help us pleasea masta pleasa. Come and set me free!" She placed her hands in a prayer, basically pretending to be a member of the Amistad.

Lorelai stood with the Shi'ar guard and Tia, grateful to have been brought away from the fire of the bad guards, but stood frozen as the ship took a hit. She found herself holding her breath and let it out gently so her chest didn't hurt so bad, and carefully leaned to look quickly outside the door to see what was going on. "We need to get out of here, especially if the ship's gonna start falling apart," she said, looking around as she tried to get a thought straight. Knowing that she was injured on a ship that was being attacked, as well as being surrounded by guards that were shooting killing blasts now made her mind race, and made it slightly harder to try and think of an idea.
The thought of being useless also resonated in her head, and she wanted to prove otherwise by what means she could, so she thought as she listened to the talk going on between the rest of her team. It was then she thought of it, thinking back to Iceman's class that seemed like a good idea that might work. Iceman had said she nailed them, so maybe it could work on a slightly larger scale here. "Hey guys," she carefully called out, hoping she was loud enough for the other team members to hear, "What if I made an ice slide you all could hop on and we could try and slide out of here? No fancy stuff, just enough to get us the hell out," she continued, hoping it would be a suggestion the others might find useful. The ice slide was a good way to move, and often it was a move used to get around quickly, and maybe, just maybe it could work here.

"AW shooot duude, That is no lie some serious shit." Chase said to Dante as he shook himself back to his senses. Blinking his eyes as his vision returned to normal. "Good times huh?" Damn he's stronger than he looks and he looks pretty rugged, a great get for the Paragons I think, we lucked out on Glitch here. As for Frostbite, I dunno yet. She's tryin but she is still tryin too hard I think. Let's see if she can do this big ass ice slide in her condition. She shouldn't offer what she can't deliver, rule number one or wait was it rule twenty one- well whatever it's in the unwritten code of the street handbook that it seems all the real Paragons have a copy of tucked away in their heads.
"Alright, try it Frosty- Lets see whatcha got!" he called out to Lorelai from across the wide hall. Then talking in a more quiet way out of the side of his mouth to Glitch he said "Yeah, watch this Dante man, this girl is already so ass kicked she ain't got it in her. Guess I gotta give it to her for wanting to help, but it's not gonna happen and then where are we gonna be? Look at her she can't hardly stand and can barely even breathe. Hope she has sense enough to just block up the hallway with ice so we can make a break for it. Think she'll figure it out? Hey man, did Lian just call me FreezeBitch? What's up her ass sideways today? Friggin shit head."
He couldn't believe what was going on around him and he thought the idea of getting to the bridge was the best one of the bunch he had heard. "So we gotta take the ship I think, you ready for this?" he looked to Dante and got to his feet. Calling out to the other groups he signaled with his hand to take the bridge. "We go on three- Ripple, you think you can handle it, or do we go with Dante? Sky we need that door intact, so no heroics." He started the silent count holding up a single finger, waiting for a response and getting it as soon as he held up a second finger- and then the third finger he held up signaled for them to go. Leading the group was hard but he had to go through with it, it was his idea. So, rushing out into the hallway and running backwards to freeze-frame any shot that might get fired at his team, he was the first to go for it.

"Right," Lorelai said to more to herself than Chase. She knew she wouldn't be able to pull it off. She was in a lot of pain, and though her legs weren't injured it was still hard to stand, and she hated having to lean against the guard for support because she couldn't do it herself. Biting her lip, she moved slowly toward the door, making the guard move along with her so she could see if she could try it out with him behind her.
She saw Chase signaling everyone outside, not even waiting for her to try the slide. At least I can admit it to myself that I can't do it. I'm actually kinda thankful he's just going on ahead cause I know I'd fall over and make a fool of myself. I can still do something, I'm not letting myself get out of this practice without doing something to help, damnit I refuse. Sometimes I really hate having my pride, and I think I can help here...block the way, she thought as she saw them all come out from their hiding places and run.
She looked to where the guards stood and moved forward to the wall nearest her as if she were stumbling and placed both of her hands on it. Trails of frost quickly crept along the wall and crawled to the other side, a wall of solid ice building up from floor to ceiling in front of the guards who were aiming to shoot at them again. She let the wall grow a bit thicker to hopefully sustain at least a good few energy shots and a layer of frost obscured both sides of the wall.
Letting out a breath, Lorelai looked to the Shi'ar guard and Tia. "Come on, we gotta go with the rest of them! I don't know how long that wall will hold up," she said as she held onto the guard and grabbed Tia's arm, using them both to move and get them moving. Her chest was hurting a lot, and she just wanted to get out already.

Why the hell did I get stuck with the deadweight? I did what I was supposed to do, f@#%ing Lian should take him. Sky was not happy having to lug Fleet around. She wasn't good at playing medic and didn't care for being a babysitter to some guy that abandoned their team a couple of months back. "Right behind ya Chase. Let's go Enema boy," Sky said still helping him stand. He had least 30lbs on her, but she was dealing with it pretty okay. "And next time your hand 'accidentally' falls on my boob, you're getting a slam in the danger zone. Hands off the twins." Sky gave him a serious look. She was cheating and sort of using Fleet as a shield from any laser blast. "Hold on tight we're outta here!"
Sky went out of the door and past Frostbite and the guard. "Tia just get going and help Veronika out. Frostbite's got a god damn guard she ain't need you on her side," she yelled and went to the door to the bride. "Damn. It's locked." She looked around and her eyes fell on what looked like an key card on the guard next to Veronika. She'd been around her older brother enough to know what a key card looked like."Stay here for a sec," Sky said and ran over to the guard helping Frostbite. "S'cuse me a sec I'm just gonna borrow-" She plucked the official looking card from the guard's belt. "-this for a minute." She dashed back to the door of the bridge and scanned the card through. A green light lit and she was able to push the door open.
"SCORE! Everyone let's go!" Sky said and helped Fleet through the door. She held it open for the others so they could get in. "Thank so much dude." She put the key card on the guard's belt again and smiled. "C'mon you lazy buncha galoops. I ain't a damn bellhop!"

The crash to the side of the ship was surprising and frightening to most, but not to Veronika Kudinov, Russian Heiress to the Kudinov fortune and Mafia Princess. The confidence her mother had instilled in her from a very young age shone through in everything she did. She knew that Kris and the guard would protect her from any harm. "Oh thank you so much Sir for protecting me. I am so honored to have a guard as brave and as strong as you by my side," Veronika said to the guard that rarely left her side, smiling at him that endearing smile that captured the heart of many.
With the Kris and the guard on her side, she stepped out of the door and headed for the door to the bridge that Sky opened. "Please everybody we do not want to linger. Tia darling come with me!" Veronika reached out to grab her hand pulled her along with Kris and the guards to the bridge. "Thank you so much for taking care of her Good Sir. It is indeed noble of you to do so," she said to the guard that was carrying Frostbite.
She walked further down with her little group, glancing at Fleet with merely a raised eyebrow at the predicament he was in and sighed. This there first practice that they had two team members injured in less then 10 minutes into the practice, and Veronika decided she didn't care for it. The Paragons were not a team full of weak careless people and that needed a medic by their side, and the two injured lackies were making the team look weak. That needed to be changed.

Without hesitation, Dante went right out with Chase, just cause he would never let a guy go all out in the line of fire on their own. As he ran out though, the blue haired chick already made a wall of ice, surprisingly just like Chase said so. "Aw shit. We gotta go now, that wall ain't gonna hold against their shots," he said to them and grabbed Kat and Ripple, pulling them over to the door.
The ice wall shook more and more from the blasts of the shots on the other side, and it was obvious that it would probably burst at any moment. Dante waited at the door keeping an eye on the wall and ushered everyone inside the door. "Let's go people, it's gonna burst!" At the last moment, he pulled Frostbite and the guard inside and just as she was shutting the door behind them, the sound of the ice wall cracking and bursting was heard as loud and clearly as an avalanche.
Dante shut the door tight behind them and leaned against it to hold it back in case, the vibration of the wall crumbling was felt against the door. "What now? There's no way we're staying here, we gotta move. Now." He looked from Veronika to the guards questioningly. "Where to now?"

"And on top of it all I have strange little people running into the bridge? This is madness, Quartermaster...clear my bridge! We are under attack, the Empire is set upon and hatchlings are running loose on the decks." He was already standing, surveying his ship and all iit was faced with, and holding onto the seat and the command and control console. Turning to give the order Captain Sk'Larr lost his balance as did nearly everyone aboard, when a second explosion shook the vessel.
"Sir, we are breached! The Kree starships have punched a hole in our port side and-" an automatic alarm split the air cutting off the navigator a mid sentence and . "And that alarm is the intruder alert. We have been boarded Sir, boarded by the Kree." He spun back to his console and panic was growing in him.
Panic and frustration were evident on all of the command crew. They had not seen any action at all in their careers, none save for the Captain. He was calm and collected. "How fares the Excellon? She is our only hope, as we have drawn some fire from her has it helped them? What is the count, how many vessels... Gunner! How about that weapons lock you promised me? Well, can we shoot anyone yet?" He looked at his bridge crew of young officers. Barely hatchlings themselves.
"Uh, Sir.... Sir I, uh..I have a weapons lock now sir!" one younger looking Shi'ar called out from across the bridge of The Dagger. He was staring intently at the screen in front of him and awaiting an order to fire. "Sir they keep moving...Sir!?!" His voice rose to a shrill call with his panic.
"Fire your guns Ensign, and do not wait on the order again! Fire!! And keep on working that weapons lock, they are supposed to move, anticipate it son!" he looked to the command panel in front of him, noting the details of his ship and then looked at the one to his right to see a communique from HMS Excellon.
"Alright, The Excellon is finished. Her stardrive is buckling and she is about to explode." He pressed a button putting up on the main view-screen the external imager's view of HMS Excellon. A brief moment later it exploded. Pushing another button he leaned down speaking into the microphone on the side of the panel. "All hands BRACE for IMPACT!" Looking to the Paragons he said "You all may want to hold on to someth-" the shock wave hit tossing bodies around the command deck of the Dagger, and bursting open control panels around the bridge. Liquid blue plasma and electric lightning shot out of several of them.
"Sir, I've lost helm control! Captain! Sir?" The navigator rushed over to the body of the Captain as he lay slumped on the deck by his chair. He had braced for impact. The wizened old warrior knew what needed to be done. He was going to bring all the kids under his command home, safe... The navigator gasped as he rolled the Captain's body over. His face darkened and seared from a burst of plasma. "Oh Gods that be! The Captain is dead!!"

"Kree? What's a Kree?" Kat grumbled as she picked herself up off the floor slowly, a pout on her face again as the ship was hit again and there was more confusion. Normally because of her cat claw tattoo, she would've been able to land on her hands and feet, but the force and surprise was quicker than she could react. "Terrible confusion, bloody chaos, I hate this school," she grumbled to herself as she scuffed her feet towards something she could hold onto, away from the control panels that were screwing up big time. She looked over at the navigator as he pointed out the captain was dead and her eyes widened slightly. "Where's the bloody first mate then? Oh the stinking flesh be smellier than a pirate's brand on the skin! Aye, much worse," she said, musing to herself at the last part until she remembered the captain had said they'd been boarded.
"Where's the powder monkeys, mate? We're bein' boarded and the lot of ya are all chickens with yer heads cut off, oh brilliant, bloody brilliant. A bloody shame for all pirates alike, even intergalactic ones like ye lot..Quartermasterman, do somethin' will ya? We ain't all sittin' ducks, but c'mon," she said, looking at the Shi'ar crew who were freaking out. She turned to Chase and looked at him, the pout still on her face as she stepped closer to him and lowered her voice. "What'll ye have us do? We fightin' or stealin'- I mean commandeerin' this scrap heap or what?" Though the situation was bad, she honestly couldn't help asking it as the opportunity presented itself, regardless of what they were or weren't going to do. Having a ship, even though if it were a wooden ship in water it'd be halfway sunk already, to commandeer now the captain was dead was a tickling thought to Kat, even though there were more important things to focus on, like making it out of there alive.

"Yeah, the Kree" Chase said pushing himself off of the floor "They are like this other alien species. These two have been fighting off and on for the longest, right?" He looked with a shrug to Hemlock who might have been paying closer attention in that class. He knew Ripple and Sky would know about as much as he did, and Veronika might know but he didn't want to bother her with the question she was still working on the guards minds'. They were apparently the only two who knew or might even care that the team was actually supposed to be in the prison cells.
Or maybe the very imposing guy the Captain had called his Quartermaster, he looked like he knew about all of the ships operations from how the Captain had spoken to him, might be the only other person here to catch on. "Look Quartermaster mon, the Queen sent us here to help out dude. We got skills, yeah were young but this whole thing has been like a test for uh, for the crew." He was winging it and hoping that he could make it all make sense since he had no clue what to do next and looking at his team and the faces of the bridge crew it seemed that nobody really did.
"This attack of the Kree was not part of the, uh, THE QUEEN's Majestic TEST so, lets drop the act and we'll all pitch in. Sound good? Hell this is the only air we got out here so we gotta protect it." He walked over to the Quartermaster and slapped him on the aim. "Buck up Shi'ars and Shi'arettes, we are here now! We the QUEEN's own special, uh security testing- uh, team?- and this is gonna be OK! Relax and trust me." He looked to Sky and his eyes went wide and blinked as if to say 'HELP'.
"First thing is to-" think Chase, what do they do on StarTrek? Aw shit I hate that show. I would always change the channel"uh figure out-" he shrugged at Dante for help. "Well, the first thing is to figure out what we are up against." He thought the Captains questions were good enough to merit an answer. "Who can answer those questions the Captain had? Chop-Chop boys and girls, we don't have a lot of time here. There are BAD GUYS on board! And guess what? Just like we did, you know, following The QUEEN's orders and all- they will be coming here soon." He motioned his arms around to get them all going and rushed over to check on Frostbite first, and then Fleet. He wondered out loud to his team mates as he checked on the injured ones, what an enemy assault would want with an old prison ship.
