The sudden impact made Lian even more pissed off. She was already feeling sick enough, she didn't need more pain. Plus her grumpy attitude wasn't helping her calm down in any way. She folded her arms and listened to what was going on. She didn't even understand the point of the Danger Room session anymore. Yeah teamwork was nice and all but having two "new" people on the Paragons wasn't exactly helping out either. Lian was annoyed that Chase and Veronika were doing this whole acting thing. Granted it did allow more access around the ship without being shot at, however Lian just wanted to get the damn practice over with.
She looked at the dead captain, understanding that that was something a bit bad. "Well dude, what do you think we can do?" she asked the navigator while looking back and forth between him and her teammates. They were a wreck and truly needed to start working on cooperation. Lian knew that she wasn't being a big help because of her attitude. However she decided then and there to stop bitching and start helping. She looked back to the navigator and nudged her head towards the main controls and computer. "Is there a map on there where we can format a path to safety? We must make sure that you are all recognized for your help and courtesy towards the Queen." She smiled a bit, faking her sincerity toward the Shi'ar.

Veronika kept near the guard and had Tia and Kris flanked at her side. She knew what she was doing, and as long as she kept talking to the guards, they would remain in her sphere of control and influence. "Oh goodness the Kree now? I am frightened, they are not a kind race," Veronika said in a small voice and looked at the remaining Shi'ars. Of course, she wasn't the least bit frightened, she knew that there was no fear of her getting injured with the guards or Kris nearby. Many a time had occurred when Kris threw himself in danger to protect her, even little Tia doing the same, but Veronika rarely allowed it.
Tia was from South Africa, where the main white people that resided were extremely wealthy. She knew because her mother bought a house there for her Aunt and Veronika had seen pictures. That is what Veronika and Tia had in common the most, their vast wealth and good breeding that put them in a class above many others. Kris was also in that class, being that it took a good deal of money for him to go to that Prestigious All Boys Boarding School. Right then, Veronika made sure that they were treated with the same superiority and class as she was. "Oh but please do not make a move that may put us in Danger. The Queen would be extremely angry should something happen to us, and I know that you do not want that," Veronika purred and blinked up at the Shi'ar.

The Quartermaster assumed command right then and there. "I'm calling the orders here." He said shoving Chase to the side, to step over top of the Captains dead body and yank the Navigator up and to his feet. Looking to Chase and the rest of the Paragons as he pointed to the navigation station and urged his shocked Navigator to return to duty he said "Nobody told me about some security test and the Captain didn't seem to recognize you bunch so my guess is you are not who you claim to be.
"One of two things seem likely" He strode heavy footed around the bridge getting his command crew to focus on the tasks before them and noting who was hurt among them. "- you either broke out of our jail and have found yourselves smack in the middle of something you never expected, or you're in league with the Kree... and it is more than possible that both of those things are true. Either way you are not telling my crew what to do. I'm Captain now."
He nominated the weapons control operator as medic in order to look after the injured "You look just about useless there. I'll fire the guns. Go and see to the injured, you know where the medical kit is. Do what you can for the burn victims first then look after the rest." Since the Captain's console was all but destroyed he took the Gunner's station and made the best of things looking to see what he could outside of the ship through the gun sights.
To the two crew members who had come into the bridge with the paragons he said "Hell of a job you boys are doing back there. You two Guards better get wise quick because this is looking bad for you any way this ends." He began barking orders as he pressed his eyes into the Gunner's Scope. "I need a status report on the intruders and a damage report on the ship. Our ship, just in case you still have your head up your ass over there Ml'Ahak." A young looking Shi'ar crew member began frantically hitting buttons and calling the information up on the screen in front of her.
"Give me a count on how many ships are left. I hope that blast took out a bunch of marauders. I want to know how many are left buzzing around out there, I only see three." He squeezed hard on a trigger control and the sound of laser cannons firing off a burst could be heard. "We are not going down without a fight." his hands moved around on the panel in front of him as the rest of the Shi'ar on the bridge got to doing what he had said. The Quartermaster would never say thank you to the young red headed boy for sparking in him a need to take charge, but that was what Chase had done.
Out in the corridor weapons were being fired and the sound of men dying agonizing deaths could be heard. It was a good sound, to any that might have realized that if the vacuum of space were right outside the door there would have been no sound, but that would have been cold comfort indeed to those that understood. To the rest the sound was horrible and getting closer and the Quartermaster seemed more intent on shooting other ships than saving those on board.
The information came filtering back in dribs and drabs on the questions that had been posed. Internal sensors were online then offline then online again, finally a connection had been rerouted and internal sensors were locked out, in order to stabilize the damage sensors. It was not known the details of the intruders, however the sound was enough of an indicator to tell that there was Kree enough to make short work of the crew on board. The Shi'ar sounded as though they were putting up a hell of a fight but there was no way to know just how things were going.
The ship had sustained a direct hit and engines were functioning at 27%, the external shields were non responsive and there was an indicator light showing that the hull had been breached. A young female Shi'ar called out that internal shielding was online and functioning at 84% and that the ships integrity was holding but severely compromised. Across the bridge another voice called out.
Timid and holding back tears he said "External sensor activated! Reading three ships, and? Uh, counting the one - no not counting oh Gods, uh the one you almost just disabled Quartermast-uh, Captain? I-" The back of his hand wiped tears from his vision and he went on "Or the one jammed into our side." He looked back down sniffling. "-so that's uh? Five...no uh, four?" he was a wreck and useless to the ship and the Quartermaster looked like he could care less. He himself had decided to die at the guns. By all accounts he was not doing a very good job at shooting, as what could only be Shi'ar profanities spewed from his mouth.

This was a first for Dante to battle some kind of intergalactic race with half bird people that were ready to kill them not long ago and now were going to fight with them against some blue people in weird uniform. And it wasn't the nice kind of blue like that girl he saw at lunch earlier, but a pasty kind of blue. Though this was definitely a unique situation, Dante often put himself in crazy hazardous circumstances for the sake of the thrill and for the adrenaline rush that came when fighting to survive.
"It sounds pretty bad out there, any of you think we got a chance to contain them? I don't know anything about this space stuff," Dante said with a shrug. He didn't really understand who or what they were up against, and it was like the sides were switching up, and he didn't know what to do anymore. Thinking about it for a moment, Dante came to the decision that he may as well make the most of this whole thing and go for it all. Walking around the bridge, he looked around for one of those closets that they always had in movies that held all those extra space supplies. It was always in the bridge of the ship in the movies and he figured this place couldn't be that far off.
After a moment of looking around, he pulled open a crushed looking drawer with all his strength, revealing several pieces of armor. Dante nodded to himself and slipped it on as best as he could, since they had totally different body structures. It didn't take a lot of effort to figure out the head piece and chest piece, but the arm and leg shields were a bit more difficult. "Might as well see what we can do about the ship then." He look as he put the arm and leg shields aside for someone else. "Hey Ripple, think you can let me out the door quick enough so they won't come in?"

"Ok so let me get this straight, your ships are exploding everywhere, the god damn Kree is on board, the one race that supposedly conquered your people in how many Great Wars now, and you're having that guy over there that looks like he's gonna piss himself every time he sees a shiny thing to shoot at the enemy ships?" Sky said incredulously looking at the Quartermaster that took charge. "Well F@%# this shit, we're all f@#%ed up the ass anyways. Dante, fighting those guys would be suicide even for us. They took down what were supposed to be Shi'ar warriors!" She looked around at her team, many of them beaten and the Captain trying to look all tough but that guy had to have known it was as hopeless as it looked.
Sky bent down and took a sash out of the open drawers of clothes hanging out where Dante got the armor from. "We may be going down guys, but we're gonna do it in style. They may have outnumbered us and cornered us in, but we're gonna show them what happens when they mess with the wrong team." She used the scarf as a bandanna and went over to the Quartermaster who was doing a poor job of what he called shooting. "Stand aside Chickenhead, go make yourself useful and sing us a soundtrack," Sky said pushing him aside and looking down at the complicated looking controls. Okay, think video games... I can do this. She began pressing a couple of buttons and grabbed the gun control.
"AHHAHAHHAHA take that!" She yelled when she found the trigger for it and had to throw her whole body weight to steer it so it would shoot the ships that looked nothing like the one they were in. "Alright guys, lets kick whatever ass we can. KAT! Grab the wheel for our ship, steer this baby all we can with all the power we got. Let's shake things up a bit. Hey, can we make it go upside down?" Sky yelled and laughed as she shot off at the ships coming in, the force of the gun making her whole body move shake with every shot, but she held on, playing with the power settings. "If this baby can go upside down, Chase can hold us to the ground and the Kree bastards won't expect it." Sky put the binky in the corner of her mouth and looked back at her team with a wicked look on her face. They may not always get along, and they may not even like each other, but damn it they were all the other got. And right now, they were in it together whether they liked it or not, so they better damn well take it for all it's worth.
"Whether we like it or not, we're in this together! And we may not be strong enough to take them down, but it'll be a hot day in the Arctic before we give in to anyone! We fight together... and we fight to the end. AYE?!" She yelled and waited for the chorus from the others and turned back to shooting at the enemy ships. "All scalawags on deck, MOVE!" Sky cackled and winked at Kat.

"MMMmmm control, steerin' wheel aye," Kat said happily with a grin at Sky as she swaggered and tiptoed her way over the plasma to the wheel that directed the ship. "What she said now, all hands on deck ye lazy poxed cur! We be given no quarter, and that be what we give back!" she called out to Paragon and Shi'ar alike as she took hold of the wheel and looked at all the broken control panels, wondering if there were any buttons and switches that weren't broken. It looked like there were a select few that managed to stay in somewhat decent condition, but she had little idea what they did.
Ignoring them for now, she focused on the wheel again and looked out at the window to see what was going on. The poor sod who tried counting all the ships around them looked pitiful and she shook her head at him before looking out the window again. "Keep yer blastin' Sky, I don't care if ye hit or miss but if we're goin' out we're goin' out with bloody bang! I'm gonna see if we can't get some evasive action round here! Directional Man, where the hell does safety lie? Speak with all haste man, if I'm to know where to take this heap!" she called out, glancing over at the navigator for a minute as she quickly turned the wheel to avoid a collision with a Kree ship that was getting too close. She saw a lever that looked interesting and pulled it a little to find that it maneuvered the ship downward as well.
Kat glanced at Sky with a giggle as she saw her just shooting wildly at the enemy ships. "We'll see if I can get this thing upside down yet, aye, but Chase ye better be ready mate! Savvy?" she called out, speaking to Sky at first before raising her voice so that Chase could hear by the time she mentioned his name. She spared a glance behind to make sure he heard her and quickly turned back to keep steering the ship away from enemy fire as best she could.

Oh I would freakin' go with you, just to take off your clothes, she thought with a smirk in response to Glitch. Hey the guy was hot. And even though the guy didn't seem interested at all, that never stopped her. She liked challenges and currently, he would be hers. But for now, paying attention to what the heck was going on was priority. It was just so hard to keep focused when her hormones were at their peak and Glitch looked amazing with his hot long mohawk and badboy smirk and... GOD DAMN IT KAT WATCH IT WITH DAMN SHIP!!
It was time to roll, and after seeing Sky act, Lian couldn't help but punch a fist in the air. "OH freak YEAH!" she yelled with enthusiasm. It was time to get some action and actually make the asshole "captain" believe that the Paragons were on their side. "I got the other gun," she continued while running over to it. "Oh man Sky it's like freaking 'Star Wars'... this is.... AWESOME!!" She couldn't help but laugh hysterically as she searched for the right controls. It was freaking complicated since it was all in alien bird shit gibberish. There was a big red button and she assumed that meant something bad. "Oh freak it," she said and pressed it, making her seat jolt forward and into the butt of the gun. Lucky for her, her hand grasped the trigger, setting of a huge beam towards one of the enemy ships. "WHOOOOOOO!" Her adrenaline rush was kicking in and she was glad that the mission was finally picking up.
Looking back at the injured, she did feel a bit bummed that her team wasn't as strong as it could be. But they could definitely get there and she planned to help them along. "HANG ON TIGHT AND ENJOY THE RIDE!! AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!" She kept on firing again and again. This was too much fun and reminded her too much of the George Lucas film. "Good job Sky!" she said when her best friend got a decent hit. "Don't get cocky!" She couldn't help but quote the movie, it was one of her favorites.

"Quit dickin around Ripple! That's the trash release control, look at that display." Chase pointed to the screen that showed what Lian was doing was opening up the former trash bay which was now the converted prison deck they had just escaped from. "No wait- that's genius! You flat chested pile of cunt scrapings, listen!!" He held up his hand for silence.
Out in the hallway the sound had quieted down and then he remembered the hole they had left on the wall of the main corridor. "Oh hell- you sucked everybody out into space. Well, at least it sounds that way. Shut that shit, you maybe just killed everybody on board except for us in here." He couldn't wait for her slow hormonal ass and he reached over to pull her hand off of the control and shut the huge garbage dumping prison bay doors that were opened to space.
"Is there any way we can tell what is goin on out there?" Chase pointed at the door to the corridor. The only door that connected the bridge to the rest of the ship that he saw or knew about. He rushed over and pushed his ear against it, but all he could hear was the sound of the guns firing as the sound traveled through the metal of the ship itself. "I hear something-" he said.
"Shhhh- shhh I hear something. It sounds like I don't know, I hear the guns but there's something else out there too. Ripple is that hatch all the way shut yet?" he looked like he was wanting to check what was on the other side of the door. "Dante man does that armor seal up? Like air tight?" He looked over to the weapons locker that Dante had pulled the gear from. He would have put on a suit of armor himself, but it looked like Dante had the only one.
"Look if you can get a seal on that helmet then maybe you could take a quick peek. Ripple would have to be real precise with the hole and move those molecules away just as you went through them, any open space and all of us might get sucked out if that hatch isn't shutting all the way." Chase looked at Glitch as he tried to see if the helmet and chest piece would be able to keep someone safe in the vacuum of space.
"Ripple baby? Sweety honey?" He said in a mocking sort of tone that was the best he could do on such short notice to the girl who had been so much of a pain in his ass the whole day. "You think you can do this with us? Or are we going with the fly the spaceship upside down thing?" A thought hit him then "I don't know, Sky" he called over to his buddy "Really not sure, but don't spaceships have their own artificial gravity? Maybe we can find an off switch if we need to, but holdin everybody in place would be tough. I might be able to pull it off though."
He slapped the helmet down a little more in the back since the collar of the chest piece was raised up and the two locked together. "Hey check that shit out. Feel around for a button or something, there Glitch. Like use your chin too maybe it has a control switch or something cause this looks like it's for fighting outside the ship." His fingers kept sliding around on the metal. "Allure would ya get one of those chuckle heads to help us out here?" he waited for a second and there was no response, so with a roll of his eyes and some reluctance he added "Pretty Please."

Lorelai stood against a safe enough wall with the Shi’ar guard, watching as more problems unfolded around them. It seemed like the Paragons were taking over the bridge and she wondered why they took charge more than these surely trained Shi’ar guards and crew. Either way, she could only shake her head a little as she looked for something she might do to help. It was something she felt she had to do. Being a bump on a log for her was out of the question no matter what. Lorelai was always taught by her parents to do her best in everything she did, and as she took in what they taught her, she worked to make it so she could do her best even when it seemed it’d be hard to. It was why she felt forced to pull perfect grades in school, because that was what was wanted, so she did the work, even if it was hard. The grades weren’t perfect, and it was most likely because she didn’t want to ask for help if she got something. She always hated having to ask for help because it meant it was something she couldn’t do herself. For a while she resorted to staying after school for extra help in a difficult math class, and she did better, but she hated it. She never could stand admitting when she needs help that she needs it, even when it’s obvious that she does, like it was now. She had the help of the Shi’ar guard, but she positively despised it and was mad at herself because she needed him to just survive this mission. She was angry at herself for having broken ribs, and she was angry for having to depend on the guard. It made her feel weak like this, something she always preferred to think she wasn’t. She also didn’t want anyone else to think it, either. If she had her way, her stupid, stupid way, she would have been roughing it from the cell. She would probably be much worse off than she was now, but it would have let her keep her pride. She did have her way in that she didn’t have to ask for the help as it was given to her, but even still she didn’t want it though it was great to have the guard help move her around and get as far as they were. She would mutter a quiet thanks to him when it was all said and done, because she owed him that.
Lorelai would probably sit by herself later and just think things out, because she needed to. She hid whatever she could from anyone, whether it was about feelings, insecurities, issues with people and just about anything because she didn’t really want to discuss them, or have confrontations about them. She never liked it, and she never liked really baring herself to anyone and showing that she could have this soft fleshy inside that could be poked at and hurt. If she did tell anything, though, it was to a select few. Before she was a mutant, it had been Chris and her ex-best friend Marisa. At the school, it had been Kevin, and Tia with some things. She didn’t have Kevin anymore; she had Tia, but there were some things she still didn’t want to talk to her about yet. Because she didn’t have Kevin anymore, she would find some way to deal with the things she couldn’t say to Tia, but she was sure she would, because she always made do somehow.
It was this need to do something at all that made her try so hard to help her new team somehow, but she wasn’t sure how she could in this situation. Sky, Kat, and Lian were at the controls, and Chase and Dante were fiddling with a body armor suit. Come on, think of something. It can’t be that hard to find something if the Shi’ar are being more useless than I am, she thought as she looked around and saw Chase trying to see how the helmet closed with the rest of the suit. She saw Dante’s back and saw how it held in the back like it used nuts and bolts. She motioned the Shi’ar guard with her to help her walk over to Chase and Dante to show them what she saw. “Hey Chase, look around the back here. There’s like a seal in the back to keep things airtight and there’s like little holes to stick things in to keep it shut. Like screws or something,” she told him as she fingered the piece, but barely touching it. She looked at Chase, her face showing little emotion as she offered a suggestion next. “Maybe you could have Lian mold the molecules together to make it all seamless? That is, if she finishes having fun pressing buttons over there,” she offered with a breath of a laugh.

A sweet smile came on Veronika's face aiming at Chase. "Why Chase it is so nice to see that you are learning manners darling. It makes things come to you so much quicker, do you not agree good Sir?" Her sapphire blue eyes were focused on the Quartermaster that named himself the new Captain. She moved herself out of the cushy corner she was flanked in with Kris and Tia on her side to move to the Quartermaster, smiling sweetly at him. "You have been ever so polite to us, would you show some of that kindness to us again perhaps? I would be ever so grateful if a brave Soldier of your stature would show them how to properly work the equipment.
For a girl of only fifteen years of age, Veronika had the magnetism and enticement that women much older than her were never able to grasp. Of course her power was a big part of it, but she had been enchanting people for as long as she could remember, as a small child wrapping adults around her finger and as she got older the same was said for her peers. Since she hit puberty, Veronika was able to entrance older men and women in ways that no one ever could. At this rate she didn't know when her power started, but she was determined to have it completely full proof soon.
Her hand went up to the Quartermaster's chin and stroked it gently. "You will show them how it is done properly yes? I do love to watch a real man at work," Veronika purred sensually, her blue eyes swirling as she held the stare of the Quartermaster.

The young Shi'ar men and women stationed aboard were not all completely incompetent as some of the bridge crew was steady and some even skilled. In all there were less than a dozen in the command area at stations scattered here and there on the bridge. Aside from two or three completely worthless and panicked crew members the other three that were not injured were doing their duty heartily. They stayed at it while the 'Captain', having been shoved aside and usurped in the gunners position by Sky who was by far superior at shooting space critters- at least from the comfort of the Xavier Mansion a zillion light years away...and yet only just above them really, stood there mouth agape. The immersion into the reality of this Danger Room scenario was quite overcoming and even after a fashion some of the hearties of the Paragons found themselves convinced this was really happening. Certainly for Frostbite and Fleet it was. At the very moment that the newly 'former Quartermaster' was about to plant his foot squarely in Decay's ass, a sound -the likes of which he'd never heard before- coaxed his mind into a state of suggestion. Turning to the dulcet sounds, enticing as they were, he then softened in his gruff and hardened perspective toward the outsiders. "Yes of course...it is really all a matter of knowing what you are doing." He proceeded to go about the bridge showing the Paragons what they needed to know about the various controls they stood before. To Kat and Sky he was specific on how to place their hands upon the control surfaces, and with what amount of force to apply. Where a panel needed an operator he brought the nearest Paragon over to it. Hemlock before the engineering station, Tempest to another panel he described as "Very import, yes indeed." as he instructed her to "-watch here for the green color to come up and if it turns yellow or red we will all soon be dead, yes. Keep a careful eye." In such cases as a panel was smoking and destroyed by the plasma bursts that had issued forth from them he would simply say they were not of any concern. "And this, my fine young woman," he said leading Allure herself over to a console that had an array of knobs and dials. "With that most beautiful voice of yours, you must be our communications officer." He then stood there as if in a waking dream, the allure of the young mammalian woman was all encompassing, his eyes held a stare on Veronika as he waited patiently for her to speak yet again.

"Oh man! That friggin guy-" Chase saw that the loudmouth that had shoved him and decided he was supposed to be in charge was of no use to him and Dante at all. "What an Ass-Hat!!" he said just as Frostbite was describing the thing on the back that he had already looked at.
"Yeah, I saw that but I don't think we have all the parts here to-" he stopped talking and looked at Frostbite for a second, and then at the Captain. Then his look went to Dante in the weird getup and then back at Frostbite. "Ass-Hat, heh." He pointed a finger at Lorelai and slowly wagged it "Ass-Hat, Ice-Hat, HA! Mon, I an I is a genius too." he slipped back into his Jamaican accent for a minute then.
"Ok Frosty-chick, here is your chance to do something slick. We need him to be able to see through something that'll protect him from getting his eyeballs sucked out if there's no air out there, so can you make some clear as glass ice? You know and like cover this up like just a couple of inches thick and not freeze him to death?" He moved his hands around the helmet and torso armor.
"You know finesse it? Nothin pretty just to seal it up, cause I don't see any air tank or anthing else." He used his best approximation of a command voice talking to Frostbite because he really didn't like the Acolyte. He slapped Glitch on the back and said to him "Just take a quick look dude. Hey man, just outta curiosity " he grinned "how long can ya hold your breath?"

Tia nodded once in the guard's direction, keeping her gaze fixed on the green light. She didn't feel too comfortable 'fraternizing with the enemy', but at this moment in time she couldn't really do anything about it, hence she just went with it. She tried to think of different things the light could possibly indicate. It could indicate oxygen level... hmm... if it does, that means that if it turns orange or red, we'll die. Would I be able to be of any use at that point? I've always only worked with the wind that surrounded me, I don't know if I can manipulate the wind to increase it's quantity... or actually create it... it's too much to risk. Tia sighed, shaking her head, hoping with all her might that the light didn't actually indicate oxygen levels.
Tia's eyes stayed glued to the light, as she tried to remain aware of the ongoings around her via her hearing. Well, at least Frosty can breathe now by the sounds of it. I hope she doesn't screw up- she didn't get off to a very good start. Glitch seems to be fitting in quite well as well, he's helped loads- I don't think he's going to have a problem on the team. Hmm... Even Kat, she seems to be fine with working with orders and getting on with what's being told. I don't think we've worked together this way for a very long time. Tia continued to stare at the light, it remained a steady green for the time being. Great.
She bit her lip, now that she had to concentrate at this one point, maybe she could try to think over the actual simulation. The whole point of it is defense, and right now it's the Kree people that are threatening us. She sighed, so would they just continue to face various enemies throughout the whole practice, and continue to just fight against them? Or was there something more they needed to do? Hmmm... no... I can't see anything else that we'll have to do. I just hope this light remains green- Uh- I still don't know what it means. "What does the light indicate?" she inquired. Best to gather as much information as possible.

Veronika held the stare of the Quartermaster, giving him a sexy smile as she took his hand to allow him to help her up on one of the few chairs that was still in tact. "You are so, so kind Sir," she said and crossed her legs, her vibrant blood red hair falling over her shoulder in tantalizing tousled curls. "It is so nice to see that men still know how to take charge and get things done... especially when they do it all with the debonair of a well bred gentleman." Her hand traced his jaw in a soft whispering touch before gently tapping his lips as her eyelashes fluttered sexily.
Placing the headset gently over her ear, she leaned down over the console and looked over her shoulder to smile at him again, actually enjoying herself very much by how she made such a gruff hardheaded man melt like ice cream in the hot sun with just a touch and a few words. Adjusting the little microphone on her headset, Veronika turned the frequency to get in touch with the Kree ships, just like the Quartermaster showed her. "Attention, this is the Occupants of The Dagger. We are a ship of no threat to you. You see, you must have made a mistake. You do not really want to attack our small little ship? Why surely your vast and mighty army can find ships more worthy to conquer than us," she purred in her sexy enticing voice. She looked over her shoulder and winked at the Quartermaster.
"I know you do not want to attack this ship. Prove how mighty your race is and leave our ships to conquer a race much mightier than the Shi'ars to prove your superiority." Veronika's voice was as lulling and enchanting, able to bend anyone to her will with the hypnotic sound. Studying under the elusive Emma Frost and practicing constantly was certainly paying off.

"I'll do my best," she said, having ignored the 'funny' stuff Chase said and listened to what actually mattered. It had been put as a command, but she didn't really care because it wasn't like she wouldn't do it. She didn't have too much issue with being given tasks to do, and she didn't really have problems with authority, most of the time because she did nothing to piss them off. She could only figure Chase just didn't like her, but she wasn't stupid enough to tell him to f$@# off, especially not with the position she chose to put herself in.
Pursing her lips for a moment, she put a hand up to Dante's helmet. "It'll be a little cold, but it shouldn't be too bad," Lorelai said as the opening of the helmet soon closed over, a slight outward dome shaped covering taking form. It was a little rough and bumpy, but she ran a hand over the ice so it smoothed out as best she could before thickening it, but keeping it clear to see through. She found she could decide whether or not the ice she made could be crystal clear or be so frosted over one couldn't even pick out a certain color on the other side, and she learned it took a little thought to choose which she wanted. Here, clear as glass ice was asked of her, so it was what she gave.
"That shouldn't be too bad, it's not right on your face, and it looks clear enough. Can you see alright?" she asked Dante, taking her hand away now that the job was done and letting it hang at her side, not wanting to cradle her ribs though she could constantly feel them every time she moved. Lorelai half thought about asking if there was anything else that she might do, but decided against it so that things would just come about naturally. She did want to help, and she did want to show that she wasn't a useless bump on a log, but forcing it wasn't the way to do it. I just hope this is over soon. Hopefully Veronika talking to the other ships works out, she thought as she looked over her work and glanced over at Veronika at the communications post.
