Incredible Logan's sense of hearing was and it allowed him to pick up on Aideen's conversation from across the store. The tone in her voice becoming more and more frustrated as the salesgirl pushed her luck time and again. Logan recognized the girl was just doing her job, but he also didn't want that kind of attention himself when he shopped so he got where his Angel Eyes was coming from.
Seeing the girl approach the dressing room he waved her over. "Listen doll, she told me to tell ya she's good for now, but that little blond over there was lookin for help a minute ago.. I think." With a raise of his eyebrow and a nod of his head in HeartString's direction he sent her off on a wild goose chase. Chasing down Tracy in a store would take her away long enough for a little fun at least, or at the very least he hoped it would.
As the girl turned to leave he slipped into the dressing room area and followed his nose. The 'Black Raspberry Vanilla' led him right to his quarry, and with a quick twist of the handle, going further than it would allow for, he popped the lock. "How's it lacin?" he said taking his hat off and tossing it gently on top of her folded clothes and stepping close to his girl. "Got a little lonely out there, sorta chilly too... I'm lookin to warm up." He slid his arms around her waist and wrapped her up in them. Finding 'that spot' in the side of her neck he kissed it softly and waited for the little goosebumps to rise up on her skin.

Mason had been sitting in the chair in front of the dressing room for a half an hour now, enjoying the show with his own tux next to him on the chair. He picked it out in the first five minutes, tried the jacket on, found a shirt his size and pants that matched the jacket and called it a day. "I thought that other one fit well though," he called thinking of how it made her cleavage pop as he watched her browse through more dresses. His girl was stunning, and looked good in just about anything. She had a classic hourglass figure that he couldn't get enough of, and as far as he was concerned she could wear a potato sack and still look amazing. Actually he wouldn't mind a potato sack, its easier to take off.
"Doll get something in light blue. I like that color on you," he yelled over and glared over at the tie rack. He just grabbed a simple black tie and didn't bother looking for anything else. Mason felt accomplished sitting down with all his shopping done and just watching his girl in all these different outfits. With amusement he also watched Aideen give that bubbly sales girl a tongue lashing as she tried to pick out a dress for herself. He was amused as hell by the whole thing, and pretended not to see Wolverine go to the dressing room without any clothes to try on.
Instead he focused on his girl, laughing a bit whenever she held up a particularly ridiculous looking dress, probably for his entertainment. "C'mon Dollface that one reminds me of Lil Bo' Peep. Oh man and that ain't even a dress that's like a napkin or something," Mason said cracking up at some of them. "Wow look at that one, and it comes with a star to cover the nipple. How classy." He was chuckling a good deal now, too relaxed to stay with his hard and serious demeanor. Seeing his girl having so much fun was having an effect on him too, and he was enjoying it.

It was a fun ride, and the day's shopping was only just beginning as far as Tracy was concerned, but she could tell this store was losing it's appeal. She had gone around and tried on most everything she saw, some for fun some just because of the label and some for the seriousness of trying to actually find a dress for the evening. Nothing was just right, not a one struck her as the perfect dress for the night, until... When she saw it her head cocked ever so slightly to the side, Naaah, I could never pull that off. She had passed by it and then only a step gone past she stopped in her tracks and pulled it off the rack. It was darling and she loved that it had a simple yet elegant look, and a wrap to go with. Yea..okay you got my interest dress, but lets see if I can find shoes to go. It was as if her fairy godmother had just 'magic wanded' them there because on a small display she saw the most incredible pair of heels with the sexiest little ankle strap. "This isn't happening, no way it could be so easy." She had thought she might need to drag the gang to three or four more stores to find what she wanted, whatever that might be, but right before her eyes her whole outfit was manifesting itself. "Oh, this is gonna look so great." she said grabbing the buzzing sales girl as she passed by returning some of the things she had been trying on. "Oh hey do you have these in a seven and a half - eight?" she asked holding the shoe out for her to fetch her size. "I'm gonna try this last one on I think this is the one." she said excitedly. Returning to her own dressing room, by now it was known to be hers and she wasn't snobby about it. It was just a simple fact that this girl was on a mission and she was determined to find what she wanted. "Okay Mason, I think this is it." she offered the hope of an early parole out to him as she stepped into her chamber. Minutes later, as everything, even the shoes, were a perfect fit she called out "Ready?" As if there was even a shred of doubt that he was, and she giggled slightly as she stepped out to meet his eyes. "This one do it for you? And look baby, there's even a hint of blue for you."

A small smile managed to break through the serious disposition that she had while inspecting the final result of the dress in the mirror. "You came to the right place then, I have a knack for heating things up," Aideen said softly with a sigh, leaning back against him. Her arms rested on top of his, goosebumps already visible just from his touch and his hair tickled her bare neck and shoulder, more so since she pinned her hair up. Her head turned to the side, nuzzling his cheek gently with her nose and resting her lips against the coarse hair. "Admit it, you're just doing all you can to avoid shopping," she teased softly as the smile on her face widened as she nestled her bare arms against him, hands gently squeezing his forearms.
"I don't mind you hiding out with me for awhile though." Aideen smiled again against his cheek and kissed it lightly. Turning her head, she looked at the two of them in the mirror together, just studying the two of them. She met his eyes in the mirror and smiled softly while studying his face. Logan wasn't handsome the classic way that someone like Ian, Mason, or even Colossus were, but in a way all his own. Aideen loved the ruggedness of his features, the hard strong body, and especially the cobalt blue eyes that only left their cold and dangerous shield when he looked at her; taking on a tender and at times a playfully devilish glint. Maybe not the classic good looks that girls were supposed to go crazy for, but she couldn't get enough of it. Everything about them was slightly unconventional, and she loved how well it all came together to just watch herself next to him.
A soft sigh left her while her hands skimmed over his forearms. "I found a dress, I'm not going to look again." A soft smile came on her face while her head went back to rest on his shoulder. "I say we ditch those two and go from one pool bar to the next to keep them from finding us," she said looking up at him with a slight grin, half serious as the dealing with the bimbo sales girl was still fresh in her mind. "What do you say? My treat." Her hand moved up to cup the other side of his neck, running her fingers delicately across the skin.

"I see the dress you found." He peeled her away, holding her at arms length for a second, looking her up and down then pulled her back tight against him. He let his hands feel the fabric and the ribbed corset. "HMmmm, damn that sounds too good. Pub crawl on the creep like some bad pulp novel... just cheesy enough to be fun, and with a bit of gratuitous sex in the bathroom stalls along the way to keep it sleezy."
He was teasing of course, he respected her too much to pin her against some piss smelling bathroom wall, but the dressing room smelled of rose petals and potpourri so her walked her backward and pinned her there. Letting her feel his warmth and the source of it was eager, but controlled if only just barely. A thrusting grind and he had made himself comfortable as he let his lips and tongue play their way on her flesh.
Then after a moment or two, but cut short sooner than either one wanted, a tap at the door and an all too familiar voice. The girl's name however forgotten the moment she had uttered it, but the annoying insistence of wanting to help was not to be mistaken. Dammit salesgirl! Ya got some hella bad timing He froze, not wanting to give them away neither he nor Aideen giving a response to the girl.
After the longest twenty seconds since that time in the L.Z. English waiting for a dust-off and some good old V.C. regulars bearing down on him and his fire team the girl padded off in her strange quick stepping way. Musta decided to go bug someone else, pro'bly Tracy... aw shit Tracy. That kid has her heart set on this dinner tonight. "Hey Angel Eyes, that sounds great... but Tracy's little heart'll break if I don't do this... so let me go and get this over with. 'Sides I been told I look good in a tux, but you be the judge of that."
Logan knew his place in this world. He was a warrior, a killer when the need arose, and he was the best at what he did. What he did though was nothing close to shopping, and he figured he'd bite the bullet and get help. "This wont take but five minutes." he said kissing his girl and stepping out of the dressing room to flag down the quirky salesgirl. "OK toots, I need a Tux, gotta to look sharp. Fancy dinner and all, let's do this thing. Work your magic you got five minutes... and three of 'em are gone." he grumbled at her so she knew to move her ass.
Not long after that he was checking his look in the mirror. Shoes shining, cuff-links all a sparkle. "Yea, you still got it. Ian Flemming totally stole that whole 'dashing spy' angle from you. If it hadn't been for a wild night of partying the night before the first T-Force meeting and showing up in a tuxedo, James Bond mighta worn all black with a wool cap and web gear, like a real super-spy of the day." He changed back into his own clothes and stepped out of the dressing room to hand the whole enchilada, shoes and all to the girl to be rung up. "Now I really need a drink." He said pulling out a cigar and getting ready to light it up.

Mason's eyes were wide when he looked at his girl in the dress, admiring how well it laid on her body and how damn good she looked at it. "Wow... yea Trace that's the one. I ain't even letting you try another, that's the one I like, and I don't think there is one that can look better on you," he said while his eyes roamed her petite curvy frame that looked elegant as ever with the shoes and dress. "Yea okay definitely that dress doll. Hey you!" Mason yelled for the sales girl that had just placed Wolverine's whole get up on the counter. "Take these." He pointed to the outfit that took him five minutes to choose. "And take my girl's dress and shoes when she changes out. Now listen closely sweetheart, cause I'm not repeating myself."
At this point Mason was leaning forward and speaking slowly, cause he knew enough about girls like this one to know if he didn't he'd have to repeat himself. "You're gonna ring up mine, my girl's, that guy who just gave you his suit, and that girl from earlier who was ready to take your head off. It's all together, you got it? That means that everything that we pick out is going to be charged together," he said in a slow voice so the little perky blond that looked at him with blank eyes would understand. "Okay? You good? Good I'm proud. Now get to that." Under Mason's hard stare, the sales girl scrambled to get all the clothes together and to bring them to the counter.
Meanwhile he waited for his girl to change back, feeling kind of like a big man for once. He barely had any money growing up, his dead beat drunk of a father gave him nothing. When he was younger he did runs for a local drug lord for cash, moving up to illegal car racing when he turned thirteen. Either way all his money went to stuff for him and his cars, having just enough pocket change to get around. Now though, he had a significant amount of money that he earned, a great car that was supped up to the max and barely cost him a thing, and enough money to take care of and pamper not just his girl, but himself and any of his friends. It was a good feeling to know how far he came from when he was a kid, and he was going to enjoy it.
When Tracy got out and the sales girl took her things, Mason's arm snaked around her waist. "Get anything else you want Doll, I mean it too," he said head bending down and letting his lips rest on her cheek for a moment. He did consider himself lucky to have her, and knew as much as anyone else that she could do much better than him. Mason vowed long ago that he would do everything he could to make her happy, cause this was a one and only kind of deal for him. "Hey where's Aideen? Is she still in the dressing room? I thought she'd be the first one outta here," he said with a slight laugh while putting his shades back on and glancing at Wolverine. "You two splittin' after this?" he asked reaching into his back pocket to pull out his wallet.

"Ohh, OK! Sure...." Tracy looked a bit startled at the haste with which the girl, silently and without her adorable signature smile, rushed up to gather her items together "..here you go, thanks!" she said to the her. Wondering what had happened to the young lady who had been so very helpful to her and sensing a total change in her mood.
"Are you okay honey? You seem a little flustered" she offered as the girl simply smiled weakly and hustled off to the counter and back to the dressing rooms to see to Aideen. Tracy noted the behavior and was not sure she understood what had happened while she had returned to the confines of the dressing room to change. "Hey baby?" she asked Mason "What happened out here? Our little salesgirl over there is totally thrown off her game. I was having fun with her and now she is all business. Not like I was going to be best friends with her, but like she was fun and helpful. Now she seems all rushed and scared. It's weird. Did I miss a robbery or something?"
Then she remembered who she was there with and the realization sent her mind bouncing from one scenario to the next. "Ok what did you guys do to her?" Tracy was not slow or stupid, just having too much fun being on vacation to actually have her whole mind on spotting 'criminal activities'... especially among her own group of friends. She smiled though knowing it was probably harmless and not seeing any blood she felt pretty confident the poor girl would get over it, whatever 'it' was.
As they waited for Aideen to come out Tracy excused herself to go and grab a few more items, of a far more intimate nature. Bringing them up to the counter she smiled at the salesgirl before returning to Mason's arms all excited about the evening to come, and not just the dinner. Snuggling into her Knight's embrace she stretched up her lips to kiss his ear sweetly and whisper "Thank you so much for this...all of it Mason, you are the greatest. You know that? And guess what else... I love you for more than your money." she giggled, kissing his lobe again softly.

From the heavy curtain Aideen emerged with her usual serious disposition on her face again. She had handed the crimson corset dress of velvet and silk to the sales girl without a word and took a moment so her cheeks wouldn't look so flushed and lips swollen. It wasn't until she looked as pristine as possible did she leave the little room, wearing the cowboy hat that Wolverine left behind. Rather than stop to talk, she went straight for the shoes, going right to the simplest classic black heels. Picking up the shoe, she inspected it carefully, stretching out the leather with her fingers and looking at the contour of the shoe to judge how well it would fit. Aideen knew her body well from her face to her feet, and like the result with the dress, she would know if an article of clothing was her size and would fit her correctly. Deciding they would be good for a night out, she brought them right up to the counter where the sales girl was ringing up their items. "I need this in a size 7, add it to my purchase," she said without looking at the girl and walked back over to the others without sparing a glance at that bubble-headed sales girl. She didn't care for people and that girl had annoyed her fully on two separate occasions now, and if there was a third it would not be pleasant. "I'm not going into another clothing store," Aideen said going up to Wolverine, running her finger on the rim of his cowboy hat with her finger, teasing smile on her face. "Or any other store with a sales person." Aideen plucked the hat from her head, almost reluctantly and handed it back to him. Taking her jacket from the chair she left it on, she put on carefully to warm up better in the cool store. She smoothed her leather jacket in front of her to make sure she was covered and took her own sunglasses out of her pocket, dangling them in her hand. "We're done aren't we?" The look on Tracy's face made her change tactics on her words. "I will not pretend I enjoyed that immensely Tracy, but it... wasn't horrible," she managed to say and even offered a small smile. Her dark eyes caught the delicate oriental dress that the sales girl was wrapping up. "That is a beautiful dress though, the experience was a success in that manner," Aideen offered to not allow Tracy to feel bad about anything. She liked Tracy a good deal, and furthermore trusted her very much. To this day, Tracy never told anyone about the bruises that she healed for Aideen, though she was fairly sure that the empath knew what they were from. That meant a lot to Aideen, more than probably many realized. In a way, Tracy keeping a secret was a big step that pushed Aideen to conclude that not all people had an agenda against her. "We are all prepared though right? And we can go elsewhere?" Aideen's dark eyes were wide as they looked from Tracy to Mason and last to Logan. She had enough of the stores, and wanted to go for a drink and spend some quality time with her own guy, without a sales girl interrupting.

"Yeah, alright so we'll catch you kids later." Logan said from nearby the door. He couldn't wait to get outside and light up his stogie. In fact he wanted to light up right there in the store, but the world had changed from simpler times and a man wasn't granted the same rights as he once had in days gone by. He pulled his cigar from his lips and considered it deeply for a long moment.
He could light it up, he should be able to... he was a man after all. He would not be very popular and the very suggestion of it would cause so much of an uproar. Yet, as he pondered the tobacco leaves and rolled the cigar gently between his fingertips he thought how utterly belligerent and at the same time how it would give everyone so much to talk about for days to come were he just to light it up. All the drama, all the wasted bureaucracy over such a simple and honest action.
When a man wanted a smoke, a man wanted a smoke. There should be no rules about it, no debate over it's proper place in the world. Tobacco had helped to shape the world as everyone knew it now and Wolverine was about to show them all that a man and his tobacco could not be held down... hen pecked by some overprotective rules. There was once a day when in high society a man would not be caught dead without a lit cigar, he intended to give them all a history lesson.
Licking his lips he placed the cigar in his gib as roving fingers found his box of wooden matches in his shirt pocket. "Let's get goin Angel Eyes" he said clenching his jaw as he struck the match. "I'm gettin pretty damn thirsty over here." He brought the match to just low enough under the tip of his cigar to toast the tobacco as he rolled it and toked it up until the end glowed. He blew a deep grey-blue plume of thick cigar smoke up into the ceiling of the store before pushing open the door and walking out. "Heh, that'll give em somethin ta talk about over tea and biscuts." he muttered to himself with a chuckle.
