Lorelai finally managed to slink back to her room, deaf to the world with a mug of hot chocolate in her hands. The warmth of the drink was dulled by the thickness of the mug, so her hands didn't get uncomfortable while she had walked it back up. She was glad to have gotten away from the kitchen, out of sight, and was able to go back to her room without any interruption from anyone. She had heard the loud engine of a powerful sounding vehicle over the somewhat low volume of her headphones and she couldn't help heaving a sigh. Another new person. Another new bundle of mutant joy to either make friends with or just be the object of their ridicule. Another person to hide from until she felt like being social. The thought of what she was returning to erased the annoyance for the time being, and there was even a small smile on her face as she opened the door before pulling out her earphones and stuffing them in her hoodie's pocket. Lorelai walked in and handed the cup of hot chocolate over to Iceman, the small smile still on her face. "I got held up for longer than I would've liked. Miss Frost stuck me with this new kid who irks me, and then Ricki came in and....ugh," she said with a little groan of disgust. "Too many people and I was just trying to do something without getting seen. That's one reason why this school sucks," she said to him as she let go of a big breath and plopped onto her bed and looked at the tv. It showed the previews of upcoming movies, so she didn't know what movie it was yet, since she asked him for it to be a surprise. "I see you finally got it up and running. Did I keep you waiting too long? Or did it take you all that time to figure it out?" she asked, smirking playfully at him as she sat her back against the head of her bed. It was amazing the change she noticed in herself from when she was downstairs and when she was here about to watch a movie with Bobby. It was like things were normal and okay when he was there, and when he wasn't, it was like she hated the world and everyone in it until further notice. It would have to do for now, since she didn't think she was going to change how she felt about people at that moment, and she didn't want to because more than half of them didn't deserve it. Either way, she stopped thinking about it because she was comfortable now, and happy enough the way it was at that moment in time. "So, what movie did you put in?" she asked, looking over at him with a small grin. She left it up to him to pick a movie since she didn't care which one it was, and the previews were still going on.

"Transformers," Bobby said taking a sip of the hot chocolate after giving her a nod of thanks. "I borrowed it from Chopper after lots of begging and I figure; hey it's got some good action and comedy, of course it doesn't hurt to see Megan Fox walking around in a short skirt either." He grinned slyly at her and then did a double take at the hot chocolate, or rather the cold chocolate now that he dealt with it. "Hey sweet you remembered extra marshmallows! Thanks! Not to say I didn't deserve them though, your TV is possessed. You're parents sent you over a TV made by evil, I hope you know that," Bobby said glaring at the TV and forcefully hitting each button as he pressed play on the DVD player.
"I tried to set this thing up like five times and each time the channel its supposed to show up on decided to give me a fuzzy picture. So after a minor battle that involved curse words and me using that magazine of yours to hit it a couple of time, it surrendered. You shoulda seen it, it's like the whole Transformers movie acted out, but you know, without the robot cars, army and destroyed cities and all that. Oh yea and sadly, no Megan Fox." He laughed and sat back in the beanbag in Lorelai's room. He didn't want her alone and wallowing in depression tonight, so when he brought her leftovers and tried to coerce her with food to come downstairs, failing miserably in the process, he told her he was grabbing the spare DVD player from his room and was going to make her sit up and watch a movie with him.
"Man... looking at these cars I swear some of the cars we got in the garage could be Transformers. Like Cyclops car, yea thats awesome. But only how it looks before Logan borrows it," Bobby added with a slight chuckle as the movie started. "Just for the record, when I was Sam's age, I was never that awkward. I was the coolest guy around, in fact I still am!" He blew on the hot chocolate, cooling it slightly so he could drink it easily. "So which new kid got here? I know that there was some kid that actually drove all the way here from Alaska. Crazy right? But if that's the kid, I gotta meet him, only to ask him it felt to drive across the country. I been everywhere, but never like that. We did it the fancy way and went by plane." He grinned a bit as they watched Sam pick out the car at the car lot. "Ahahaha I love this part, I knew a sleazy sales guy like that too, and look how his mother just loves him," Bobby laughed again and looked over at her. "I know its hard now, but Ricki and all them, they care 'bout ya, just everyone is confused now. Give it some time okay?" He tore his eyes away from the movie and glanced at her to gauge her reaction. "Oh and pass the Cheetos will ya?"

"I know, and believe me, I'll give it some time. Aside from you, there's no one I really wanna deal with. Sean and Kate and Heather, they're nice and they were kind to me, but I don't know...I'm not as..normal, I guess? With them around, I mean," she said as she got up and passed the bag of Cheetos over to him. There was some junk food that Bobby had brought with him along with his DVD player for them to eat, and although she had eaten some food downstairs, maybe she might indulge herself a little in a much better setting. She laughed as Bumblebee helped Sam woo Mikaela into driving her home and smirked at his awkwardness.
"New kid was like that, sort of. But worse, like really annoying worse. Not the one that drove here, I mean," she said as she crossed her arms over her chest. "I didn't see the one that drove here; I only heard the car. The one I got stuck with was wickedly shy and I was so close to just getting up and leaving. Go figure he skateboards, huh?" she said with a laugh as if it would make interacting with Carter any better. "He barely spoke and it was just annoying," she said, heaving a sigh and rolling her eyes before looking back to the tv and smirked. "How could it have been so hard to set up the tv? If I did it, it would've been done in minutes. I knew you were blond, but to take curse words and one of my magazines to get it to work? Wow, Bobby, wow," she laughed and grinned at him playfully.
"This part is awesome," Lorelai commented as she nodded her head to the song that played while Barricade chased after Bumblebee, "And I like when they all meet up. I don't know why, but it's just wicked cool," she said, looking forward to the part where they all transformed and showed Sam and Mikaela what they were. She adjusted the way she was on her bed so she laid on her stomach while she watched the movie. Her eyes moved to look at Bobby before her head turned to fully look at him. There was a curious expression on her face as she spoke. "So, there was something going on, like a party or whatever going on down in the rec room. All the other teachers were there, so why aren't you? I mean you could be doing better things than staying cooped up with me watching Transformers and they looked like they were having fun. Not that I'm complaining about having you here, though," she said, giving him a slight grin as she bit her upper lip.

Still keeping his eyes on the TV screen, Bobby just shrugged and munched on some cheetos. "It's not like everyone hangin' out in the rec room is a once in a blue moon thing. Besides I like chilling with you, ha literally too. And well I know what it's like to be in this kind of a state you know?" He sighed and grabbed the remote to pause the movie. "It's like when you want to be alone, but at the same time you don't. I get it, I been there before, and hey at least now you get to have that being alone thing without really being alone with me and now worried about being bugged..." He paused for a minute and then looked at her and grinned. "Much."
Bobby laughed and patted Lorelai's knee. "You had a long day thats all, and it's only gonna get better," he said with a smile, looking over her face carefully to check out the bruising and swelling. "It's already getting better, well at least your face is. I'm glad you actually remembered to take your medicine. I used to always forget, and Hank would be hounding me to take it and then when I complained that I was in pain, oh man if looks could kill I'd have more lives than a cat to still be alive." He smiled softly and squeezed her knee affectionately.
"Anyways, back to my words of wisdom and stuff, cause you know I'm the very wise mentor without the long beard. Don't you remember what its like to be a new kid? I mean sheesh, I still remember my first day at middle school. My neighbor terrified me so bad with stories on what they do to sixth graders that I nearly screamed whenever someone looked at me. But then I got over it and I was myself, so of course I was the most popular kid in school by the end of my first week. Cause you know, I was always the coolest," he winked at her. "You don't have to, but just remember first impressions of someone aren't always what they're like. You said so yourself the kid's shy. Look you can even use Sam here as an example." Bobby un-paused the movie and pointed at Sam. "At first we all think he's this wimpy nervous kid that can't control his hormones around a hot chick. But then as the movie goes on, yea hes still a geek, but he's damn brave and smart as hell AND dating Megan Fox. In the beginning of the movie you wouldn't think that though."
He shrugged again and munched on some cheetos. "I'm not telling you one way or another, but just keep that in mind next time you see the kid." It was a lesson Bobby learned long ago, and it was a way to balance his gut feeling about someone with the initial impression. He was one of the first that accepted Emma when Charles took her in, because he just had that feeling about her despite her sordid past. He squeezed her knee one more time and turned back to the movie. "Oh man I love this part. How sick would it be to have an autobot that landed in your backyard? We had everything else land here except an autobot, its not fair! Ahaha look theirs Ironhide, he cracks me up. I call him the autobot version of Ironclad, they're like the same I swear. And Cyclops is like a meaner Optimus Prime. Too bad we don't have a Megan Fox at the school," Bobby just babbled at this point to get her mind on something lighter and less pleasant. "Who would be the Sam in this school?" A pondering thought indeed.

"I don't know. Not really sure," Lorelai said, thinking about it for a minute as the movie carried on before giving up. Though it was something to think about, she didn't want to possibly ruin the content mood she was currently in. It might lead her to think about people she didn't want to think about. "And sure we have a Megan Fox. Someone like her? I'd..say...Ember," she said, her voice wavering slightly at the thought of her. Lorelai never hated Aideen, nor did she have anything against her. She sympathized about the treatment from Rumble she got but didn't want, and had she not gone to his room the night before, she thought she might even have gotten a little jealous from the attention he gave her, not that it was a good thing. It wasn't good what she did to herself, but she ended up learning from it because now she knew way better and wouldn't do it again. She would stay far away from him, and she'd never do something that stupid again. Everything could turn out okay someday, and things could go back to the way they had been before she lost her mind.
Maybe she wouldn't be such a stooge about her pride and set herself up for something like that again, and she would let herself be humble enough to sincerely apologize to people, and keep herself in check so she wouldn't set out to ruin herself again. Things could improve. At least that was what she was telling herself when there wasn't anything to ruin this train of thought. I won't do it again, she told herself, wishing it to be true as she could still somewhat feel how her knee had been squeezed by Bobby. It had put a skip in her thoughts, and she felt like she had been going to jerk away but didn't. He cared, and Lorelai could see that and for it she was more than grateful. He didn't bug her, even when he was giving her his wiseman-without-the-beard advice. She didn't think he could ever bug her. He was far too nice, sometimes more than she thought she deserved, but she liked that he knew what she was thinking.
"Maybe Sean or someone could build an Autobot from a car or something," she said with a slight laugh as one hand absently went to her face after seeing that Bobby had been looking it over. She had nearly forgotten that her face got pounded earlier that day, and that she still probably didn't look the greatest even after consistent doses of medicine to fix it as soon as possible. It was self conscious and stupid, but she didn't like looking like shit in front of people that mattered. She hadn't been completely up to par all day, but considering the circumstances, she could accept them up until the face pounding, and at least her face hadn't looked blotchy before then.
She bit her lip and let her hand fall away from her face quickly as she looked back at the tv. The Autobots were falling from the sky and choosing their disguises and Lorelai couldn't help watching this part with interest because she always thought that it was one of the more awesome parts of the movie. Seeing them come down like that and gather along with the soundtrack was just a great mix, she always thought. It was one of the reasons why she really liked the movie and was glad she left it up to Bobby to pick it. "Ironclad is definitely like Ironhide. I think you're probably like Bumblebee. You think you're awesome, which I'm not saying you aren't cause you are," she said with a slight laugh, "And you're a goofball," she finished, keeping her eyes on the tv so that the thought she had wouldn't form into words to save her the embarrassment. And you're a guardian..sure as hell protected me, she thought, wishing she could unthink the thought even though it was true. She didn't want to feel or think anything unnecessary that would mess things up more than she already had herself for the past couple of days. She bit her lip as her eyes glanced over at Bobby before turning back to see the part when Sam's grandfather accidentally discovered Megatron under all the ice, smirking ironically at how nice a place it must be to have all that ice in a pretty cavern like that.

"Bumblebee.... yea I SO am. Plus you know if I was ever a car, I would so be a Camero, and a yellow one. I like the old muscle cars okay, but I would kill for the 2008 model," Bobby said nodding his head in agreement. "You know, I should just use up my savings to buy one, and then I can get Sean to make it in a transformer for me! Yea oh man that would be awesome." He tapped his fingers together Mr. Burns style and made an evil laugh. "And then I will have an autobot of my own! Victory is mine!" He made another evil laugh and then started laughing for real. "Okay, okay I'm done, but you gotta admit that I got a good evil laugh," Bobby grinned and finished the last of his hot cocoa.
"Oh, wait, here's the best part!" he stopped and watched as they all got to the house and tried to keep Sam's parents from seeing them. It was a pretty pleasant time with both of them laughing and Bobby commenting on how these two were exactly like his own parents. "That is seriously just like my mom. Man she used to embarrass me like crazy, and my dad was just like this dude, except he was convinced that I would become a pro baseball player and centered my whole childhood around Little League and PeeWee hockey. OH and we had a little dog too, but it wasn't a Chihuahua it was a toy poodle named Chip. Yea don't ask my mom named him." His parents were a little cooky and still after all these years weren't okay with him being a mutant and lived in denial of it to this day.
"So in case you didn't know by now, crazy shit tends to happen to us around here. Now ok, just hypothetically speaking, if we had autobots and decepticons and all that stuff and this big crazy war and all that, I only have one question." Bobby looked at her with a smirk, like he was building up to the moment, a big and important question that may just be the biggest decision of her life, or at least that's how he made it seem. "Would you run around the whole time in Megan Fox style shorts and cowboy boots?" He kept his face serious for a moment until the look on her face was too much to bear and he burst out laughing.

Lorelai held her raised eyebrow and ‘are-you-really-kidding-me?’ look as she looked at Bobby before being unable to start laughing with him. She picked up one of her pillows and tossed it at him, still laughing as she shook her head. He was such a doofus, especially to build up an expression like he had to a question like the one he asked. “You wish,” she said playfully, still laughing, “But no. Cowboy boots don’t do it for me so keep dreaming.” She rolled her eyes as she shook her head again and fluffed up another pillow in her lap and held it as if it were a stuffed animal. She shook her head again and laughed. “Comparing all the crazy shit in this school along with Autobots and Decepticons you ask about Megan Fox’s fashion statement? Figures,” she laughed, looking back at the tv to watch Optimus Prime and Bumblebee deal with the Sector 7 agents.
She giggled when Bumblebee leaked oil all over Simmons and smirked, enjoying that they seemed to have the upper hand in things until she watched the agents pin Bumblebee down to the ground and hurt him. Her smirk faded as she couldn’t help feeling bad for him, especially since they were trying to freeze him and he wasn’t even fighting back. It sort of reminded her of earlier in the day when she was pinned against the tree for everyone to take a shot at; the only difference was she would’ve fought more if she could’ve. “Poor thing,” she said quietly, grimacing slightly and hugging the pillow to her a little more. “I hate people. They’re horrible and relentless and they suck in general.” she said, her grimace deepening as a flood of thoughts reminded her of her recent actions and their consequences. It was quickly dampening her mood and she wished she didn’t have to think all the time and ruin everything.
“Sorry Bobby…I don’t mean to kill the mood or sound bitter or whatever. This part just sucks especially when you think of how my day has been,” she said quietly, trying to forget the fact that she was relating herself to being pinned down and unable to do anything. She turned herself slightly away from him so that he wouldn’t see the unhappy look on her face that she was trying to quickly get rid of. It was in her head now, but she was trying to shut it out with the fact that Sam would get Bumblebee back, and that sooner or later there was going to be an awesome robot fight to look forward to. It worked a little, but she needed more of a distraction to forget about it again. “What did your mom used to do to embarrass you when you were younger?” she asked just to ask, biting her lip as she turned her head slightly towards him, hoping to hear a funny story to get her mind off of her many follies and to lighten things up again.

"Oh man Kiddo you had to go there huh? You think just cause you got ice powers and know all the words to Bon Jovi's 'Living on a Prayer' that I'll tell you all that gory and horribly embarrassing stuff that happened to me cause of my mom?" Bobby looked at her in disbelief and then cracked a grin. "Well you're damn right, and thats only cause of the Bon Jovi thing by the way." He laughed slightly and thought back to when he was little. Until he hit puberty and discovered he was a mutant, his life was pretty normal. He played sports, had lots of friends in his neighborhood, played pranks on teachers and friends and the girls when he was younger, and spent just about every day hanging out in his neighbor Jake's tree house that became their clubhouse.
"Try this one on for size, my first day at summer camp when I was seven, my mom was so nervous about me going away that she showed up three days later with my old stuffed dog and a picture of her, practically crying and hugging me telling me not to forget her. Man that was horrible," Bobby said, his face turning red even now though he did laugh at it more than before. "The rest of the summer, the kids in my cabin kept saying every chance they got, 'Aw what's wrong Bobby? Miss your mommy?'. If I did anything wrong or messed up they said it was cause I missed my mom and I needed to hug my stuffed animal. Brutal man, BRUTAL!" He shook his head and rub the back of his neck in embarrassment. "She did stuff like that all the time, totally fussed over me. I was an only child, so you know how that goes. She actually came to my school once, my first day of eighth grade mind you, to bring me my ear muffs and mittens cause she heard on the news it would be cold later," Bobby said with a shudder, remembering the snickers and laughs that came from the others in the class.
"And then this other time, oh man I went out on my first date, with Judy Harmon. Man that she was something. A year older than me with the best set of legs in the sophomore class. Anyways, it was when I first used my powers in front of other on the town asshole Rocky Beasely. I froze him in a block of ice cause he tried to make Judy go with him when she didn't want to. After that, the town formed into like this angry mob, like pitchforks and torches kind of thing and crowded outside my house. My mom of course, uses that moment to come out and call the mob monsters, saying that I'm a good boy and started telling stories of how I used to capture lightning bugs and and run around the backyard with a bed sheet and call myself Batman. I just remember yelling 'MOM THIS IS NOT THE TIME!' It didn't stop her though, and the whole town heard about how I used to pretend I was a Pirate and had glued a stuffed parrot on my shoulder. I was just ready to let the mob take me at that point," he said with a laugh.
Remembering that day that changed everything wasn't really something that Bobby did often. He preferred to live in the present and didn't focus too much on the past, at least thats what he tried to do. Every once in awhile, a particularly vivid memory would pop up and he found himself having a moment of reflection. This wasn't one of those times though, because the last thing that he needed to do was think about all the demons that came from that one event in front of a girl battling her own feelings. "It was that by the way, that got me here. A couple of days later, I meet Cyclops and Professor X, well it was kinda a rough start, but it happened. I became the second ever member of an X-Men right there. That's right, you are in front of a REAL celebrity. Johnny Storm got nothing on me!" Bobby puffed out his chest and put on a big macho look before breaking into another grin. "Yea yea laugh it up, its your turn now, you some embarrassing stories and I demand one too," he said pushing her over gently to tease her. The main reason he said anything was just to get her to laugh, she needed it after everything.

"Johnny Storm's pretty hot though, I've got to say," Lorelai laughed with a mischievous grin, unable to help herself after Bobby's stories. His mother seemed like one of those kind of mothers who loved her son way too much, but it was cute and it made her feel better. Her face screwed up slightly when he said it was her turn, but she knew it was a fair trade, an embarrassing story or two for one from her. The only embarrassing stories she could think about were the ones when she wiped out at the skate park multiple times in front of her friends, and the ones when her older brother was involved.
"Alright, alright. Okay, one time..I was with my then-boyfriend Chris in my room, and a movie was on, but we weren't really watching it," she started, looking over at Bobby and biting her lip since it was obvious what was happening. "So, we were having fun and his hand was up my shirt, and then without warning, my door opened and it was my brother Jake, who came in to tell me something. Whatever it was, I don't remember cause what happened next was just....eurgh. He saw Chris' hand up my shirt and pulled him off me so quickly we almost didn't realize what was going on and he was starting to beat the shit out of him. Can you imagine what it was like to pull my brother off, who's like way bigger than I am and is a freaking Marine? And then I had to calm them both down and then kick him out of my room after convincing him Chris wasn't going to hurt me. We didn't do anything else that night, because Jake hovered around the door every so often and made sure it was always kept cracked open. It was...something that happened one time too many," Lorelai said with a shy laugh, biting her lip at the memory. She loved her brother like nothing else, and they were very close.
"I miss him. My brother I mean. He's off in Iraq now, but he's been on as many tours as he can get since he turned 18, and he's 25 now. He's trying to make enough for us," she said quietly, thinking about him and why he was doing what he was doing. He wanted to get her away from their family, and she couldn't wait until he had enough to make it happen. As much as it seemed her parents were there for her when things fell out between her and Chris when her powers emerged, such a bitter day as this made her realize that they were only doing it because of Lacey. Lacey was her 7 year old sister, and ever since she was born things weren't like they used to be. "Once he has enough, he's gonna make it so I don't have to go back home. It'll be better that way, I know it cause it has to be. My little sister....I swear she's evil, but more an attention and affection hog more than anything. They believe anything she says, you know. That and she made them love her more than me and Jake. When she was born, from then on that's just how it was," she said, her voice still quiet as she remembered this was why she didn't talk about her family to people.
She realized now that it had to be Lacey's fault that she was sent away to the mutant school when her powers came out. Jake was already gone doing tours with the Marines, and not only was he out of the way, but Lorelai could be put out of the way too. It was convenient that she was able to go to the mutant school, although she thought it was because Lacey was mad that she had eaten the last piece of cake in the fridge left over from a party. Lorelai's parents spoiled Lacey; they had the means since they were an upper middle class family, and Lacey made sure that it was all about her. It made Lorelai and Jake band together, and it made him decide that they deserved better than that, and that he would make sure they had it.
"She lucked out that I was a mutant. For the past months it's been all about her with my parents. Even before, it was all about her anyways except she made life hell cause she always lied about stuff to do with me and Jake. Jake did the work for her since he left of his own accord, but she had a hand in sending me away. My parents seemed liked they felt bad for me and cared and all that, but it was her doing. It had to be. I used to think it was because they cared, and they used to, don't get me wrong, but after her, they didn't. I get that now. It sucks, but I get it. But whatever, I don't plan on going back. I'll find Jake or something when school's done," she said, her voice still quiet as she stared blankly at the tv while the movie continued playing. She wasn't even paying attention to what part it was now that she thought of her family and remembered why she didn't think about them. "Um," she said, looking off to the side after the short story of her family life, "Yeaaaah....no one around here knows any of that, and they don't need to...I guess you're just lucky," she said, letting out a breath of a laugh although there was nothing funny about what she thought of her family or talking about it. It just came out, like a lot of things she said to Bobby. It was nice to be able to say them to him, but she wished it wasn't so easy to just bare everything.

"Yea I got that from your dossier kiddo, I don't usually do that, but hey I gotta look out for you somehow right?" Bobby with a half smile. "I know how some families can be, but you gotta remember that they're your folks and they still love ya. Your sister is the baby, so yea she's gonna be doted on, and if shes one of those 'miracle kids', and I mean the ones that couples have when they're in their mid forties then multiply that doting by like a hundred." He shrugged and turned back to the show. Family stuff was something he had never been great with when it came to giving advice, mainly cause he came from a pretty small family, and even then it was more than a little screwed up. With all the kids that came through the school over the years and all the diverse backgrounds, he did learn a thing or two about them, but not enough to feel fully comfortable giving advice on.
"You'll see, in a couple of years your gonna see it a bit differently. Your brother probably just protective of you thats all. I never had a big family, but I seen a lot of siblings pass through here. Usually the ones closest in age tend to stick closer together, and thats probably the case here. You got a good brother kiddo, I'm sure he'll come through," Bobby said after a minute of thinking what to say. He knew that there were some seriously bizarre families out there with even more bizarre situations. He may not have any brothers or sisters, but he remembered what it was like growing up with Scott, Hank, Warren and Jean. They were one crazy dysfunctional family, all with their own issues and they had some of the most bizarre and actually dangerous fights. Thinking back, he realized that the Professor really did have the patience of a saint to deal with the five of them and their constant bickering and destructive fights.
"You know this ain't just a school for training your powers right? It's probably one of the best places you can be for opportunities. Emma man, she can get you into just about any college there is. I know she'd write a recommendation if you asked, and we got a college program here too. It ain't all about the power." Bobby glanced at her with a slight smile. "It ain't all fighting decepticons you know, even Sam goes to college in the second movie. You got any idea what you wanna do with your life? I dunno, like what you wanna study and do? Not everyone stays back to be an X-Men. Hell we got a good couple of students that went on to work for S.H.I.E.L.D. and the government and overseas. You got the world ahead of you." She had far more opportunities than Bobby had at her age, and he'd hate to see her waste the chances. Not that he regretted the path he chose in life, but he still wondered once in awhile what it might have been like.

"I don't know what I wanna do yet. I don't think I ever really thought about it," Lorelai said, having been given food for thought. There were a million things she could do, both normal and mutant-oriented. There were the normal careers she could try to get into, and there hadn't been a single one she had taken a liking to even before she came to the school. It didn't occur to her to really think about it, and even finding out she was a mutant didn't exactly prompt her to think about what she could do with her future, especially now that she had her ice powers and mutated blue hair. "Hm," she thought aloud, stumped.
"There's so much to choose from, and I never picked something in specific. I mean, I like to skateboard, but I don't see myself as a professional getting paid for it and everything. It's just something on the side, you know? And as for subject in school, I don't really have a particular favorite, and there's not really any classes that I wickedly excel in. I like learning different languages though, it's kinda fun, but I don't know," she rambled, thinking about the normal aspect of things she could do in the future. As she thought about the mutant aspects of future careers, she laughed slightly. "I don't think I'm cut out to be an X-Man. I'm just me, I'm here and I'm learning and I think you're the only one...maybe aside from Colossus that has any real faith that I can do something and do it well. I don't know. S.H.I.E.L.D.? Probably not, though the idea of being an agent sounds kinda cool, but I don't know," she said, pursing her lips slightly.
Lorelai didn't know exactly what her potential was academically and with her powers, and what potential she had to be good or bad, if she would lean over more to one side. She didn't know what her future held for her and she didn't know what she'd be good at once school was over. Now that Bobby had brought it up, it made her wonder, and even made her worry a little about how useful a person she would be once she was done with school. To not have a purpose or a future nagged at the back of her mind, and it moved more to the front as she let it. "Bobby, what do you think?" she asked earnestly, looking at him with a solemn but slightly hopeful look on her face. Maybe he could help her gain the inspiration to do something with herself that could help bring her to a goal that would both get her back on track and have something to do with her future. It was an interesting thing to think about.

Liv felt outrageously out of place in her dirty sneakers and dusty jeans as she climbed up to the third floor and took in the classy beauty of her new home.
The door she wanted (middle of the hall, left side) was closed. Liv considered knocking, but asking permission to enter her own room definitely sent the wrong message. Hoping her roommate wasn't naked or, Lord forbid, with a dude, Liv took a deep breath and stepped into the room with a rather energetic, "Honey, I'm home!"
She spotted a girl on the bed near the door, her hair a fantastic shade of blue. There was a guy propped up in a beanbag chair, shovling chips into his mouth. They had been watching a movie.
Liv tilted her head to the side. "I really hope one of you is Frostbite," she said heaving her bag over to the empty bed. "Cause I'm not carrying that thing any further." Liv huffed and turned around to get a better look at the other two mutants. It was true that she probably should have paid a bit more attention to the girl that was obviously meant to be her roommate, but Liv was a typical sixteen year old girl and there was a seriously attractive guy sitting on the floor, a bowl of chips in his lap.
She froze on the spot when she finally got a good look at the dude. "Pretty," she breathed out, semi-stunned. Liv looked up at the blue haired girl and nodded appreciatively, giving her a big thumbs up. 'You did good girl!"

A big grin formed on Bobby's face as he sat up straighter and puffed out his chest. "You hear that? I'm pretty Nyah," he said to Lorelai sticking his tongue out at her. "She wishes she can touch my prettiness." He added laughing and standing up, brushing the chip crumbs off his lap. "I take it you're one of the new kids? Emma mentioned a girl was supposed to be coming in this afternoon, so I take it that's you. Fashionably late I see." Bobby glanced out the window where it was dark as ever in the countryside.
"Welcome to Casa del Frostbite-o," He looked confused for a minute as his years of being schooled in Spanish failed him miserably. "Ah whatever, it's her room, and sorry I know its just a LITTLE cold in here," Bobby said looking at the large goosebumps that formed on her skin, probably from the cold. "Anyways welcome to Xavier's. I," he held out his hand to shake hers and looked over at Lorelai with an almost smug look, going back to the point in their conversation earlier where he said he was famous.
"Am Iceman." As he shook her hand and made a cool thin layer of ice to cover her hand for a moment before he retracted it. He loved doing that to new students, none of them ever recognized him when he wasn't fully iced up, so this was the next back then."But you can call me Bobby. Are you Lorelai's new roommate then?" he asked looking back at Lorelai with an encouraging smile.

Lorelai looked over at the new girl who she had just found out was her brand new roommate. Honestly, she didn't want a roommate and loved the solitude she had, especially now, but since she didn't have a choice in the matter nor could she do anything about it, she'd deal with it. However, since this girl was new and didn't seem like she was incapable of carrying on a normal conversation, Lorelai could be civil, and maybe even a little nice. "Hey," she said to her, and rolled her eyes at Bobby. "You'll have to excuse him, he's a little full of himself, and enjoys shocking people with his 'secret identity,'" she said, using air quotes as she spoke, smirking at Bobby. "The initial adoring admiration wears off after a while and next you know he'll be nothing special, believe me," she said still smirking as she watched Bobby's face. "Oh stop with the face, you're still awesome," she laughed and shook her head before looking to the new girl.
She was somewhat surprised that she felt sort of at ease with this new girl, even though it meant the luxury of having a room to herself was gone, but she credited the easygoing she had to Bobby since he was still there and while he was there she was normal. "So, what's your name? Sorry about the cold room by the way, but it's so nice and relaxing," she added, smiling a little, as she could see goosebumps on the girl's arms. To seem more respectful, Lorelai shifted herself so that she faced her new roommate more. Despite the shitty day and hate-the-world attitude, there was a small hope that maybe this new person hadn't been already made aware of her recent actions, and a small hope that maybe she could make a new friend in her since it seemed the ones she had before no longer wanted her, or wouldn't take her back even if she apologized.
"Why not take a seat and uh, join us? We're watching Transformers. It's kinda almost over, but there's still some left to see," she said, nodding her head towards the new girl's bed so she could chill out for a bit before unpacking. If she seemed cool- or bearable enough, Lorelai might even offer to help her unpack.

Liv stared at her chilly digits and then slowly followed them up to the man whose hand she was shaking, eyes wide. Oh my Lord, she thought, struggling to remain calm. Internally Liv had a complete teeny-bopper moment, a full on, fangirl, squealing, mental hysterics. She might have been assigned to room in the Antarctic, but she was shaking hands with the freakin' Iceman!
She would consider that a win.
I'm such an asshole, she thought, even as she grinned up at the X-man with wicked eyes. I can't believe I just called Bobby Drake pretty. I mean, he is but still... of all the stupid ass things to blurt out at a hero. Liv you are craking the eff up. "I'm Liv Cooper, your new resident beast master," Liv told him with a smirk. "I'd have gotten here sooner, but Da zigged on the freeway when he should have zagged. We don't leave Jersey much and he was a tad tense, what with my being a mega-disappointment and all." She said it all with a reckless grin. Liv knew perfectly well that her father would come around. He just adjusted slowly.
Liv tore her eyes from Bobby and raised her eyebrows at Lorelai. Liv had never had her own room before. At home she shared with her older sister, Millie. Sharing a room with someone would be... natural. Especially considering that Liv couldn't sleep on her own. Still... Lorelai looked less than pleased. In all honesty, the girll looked a bit...maudlin. There was a hard sort of coolness to her that had nothing to do with the room's temperature and everything to do with the distant glint in her eyes.
"I'm your roomie, alright. I'm going to guess by your codename and the fact you have pretty boy here holed up in your room that you are a snow-slinger yourself?" Liv winked and forced herself to keep her teeth from chattering. "Totally dig your hair, by the way. The blue is... Holy crap, Lorelai!" Liv blinked. Lorelai had just turned to face her and Liv got an eye full of battered skin and bruises. "Are you alright?"
Scowling, Liv glanced at Bobby. "Dude, someone broke my roommate." She pouted prettily before breaking into a full fledged, devilish smile. She turned back to Lorelai and waved a hand, dismissing the bruises. "Don't sweat it, love. You just got roomed with the original feckin' prankster. This time tomorrow we can have whoever got slap-happy on you superglued to the surface of your choice."
