Kevin smiled at Veronika from out in the hall and followed Heather into her room. "Of course I love to visit, but um, actually I was wanting to see Heather too." He said in in an asking permission sort of a way and waited for the shock to settle before he continued. "Um, well and help, sure I can do that. I promise I wont mess up your flow and I can only imagine what a date is like, so getting ready probably has your head all swirly."
He said after she'd called to Liv, Liv in their shower? Oh, that must be what the drama is all about., but before she answered. "So, I know we haven't been really tight and all, but things can change. Things do change, all the time and stuff. Like uh, like Alex for example. Since he's on your team and all, and he does do that follow you around thing a little bit, I was wondering if you could tell me a little about him."
Kevin had gotten a look at the boy, a new look from a new angle. Cleaning himself up was a good thing. It let people know he was making an effort at least, and there was maybe something more that Kevin had in mind but he didn't want it to be too much more obvious than it probably already was. He cleared his throat.
"So I was thinking maybe we could be a little closer too, since you are best friends with my best friend and I always feel funny when I'm around the both of you. Like now. I feel kinda, well jealous or something, if we're being honest- like we oughta be, cause friends are honest right?" His voice cracked slightly at the part where he confessed being jealous and his smile was quivery, he was a little scared to tell what was on his heart, just out in the open like that, but he didn't have anything to fear really at least he felt that way when he looked in Veronika's eyes.

A knock at the door snapped Liv out of her momentary pity party and she started, glaring at the entrance to the bathroom as though someone was about to let themselves in. That would be the cherry on top of the shit sundae that her day had become. Liv let out a quick, “Be out in a minute,” to circumvent any unwanted company and got to work cleaning off the day’s grit, grim, sweat, and blood. Her muscles ached, a combination of playing too hard with Coffee and mixing it up in the dorm, but the hot water had been cathartic, salving her hurts and bringing her pale limbs from hypothermic blue back to a healthy, pink glow. Regardless of her promise to be quick, Liv took her time scrubbing off every speck of dirt and making sure her hair was clean. Just because she was outdoorsy didn’t mean that she was a grimy person. Scummer was an occupational hazard, but it wasn’t something she put up with most of the time. She’d have to make some rules with the flock… potty train them or something to keep messes minimal.
A small smile came over her face at the thought of her sparrows being toilet trained but Liv winced when the move pulled at her lip. Damn, Lorelai had a hell of a right hook. If she wasn’t so pissed about her things she might be impressed, but she was pissed. Holding her breath, Liv let the steaming water run over her face and considered her situation. She was new, she was out of her league with these kids. She might have been untouchable at home, but this wasn’t Batsto and her da wasn’t around to intimidate people. Not that she had needed him to, but he was always her safety net. Liv had never needed to be a fighter before. A scrapper, sure. But actually fight… it had never come up. People back home didn't mess with the Marshal's kid.
Liv turned off the shower and wrapped one the fluffy towels around herself, blotting her long curls so they wouldn’t leave a wet mess all over. She ganked a little bit of the product sitting in front of the mirror and worked it into her hair to make herself presentable. Liv finally took a good look at the clothes that Veronika had handed her and her eyebrows hiked up into her hairline. “What …” With no small amount of trepidation Liv put on the outfit, the fabric soft on her ice burns. She caught herself in the mirror again, the bruise on her face darkening, her lip ugly, and her in some fancy little lounge suit. She felt ridiculous. Fancy and posh wasn't her style. She was a jeans and t-shirt kinda girl, casual, but beggars couldn't be chosers. Sighing she leaned on the counter. When she got her hands on Frostbite she was going to string her up by her stupid earphones.

"Help yourself to any of the toiletries you need Liv," Veronika called sweetly as she inspected her pretty face in the mirror. She was looking more like her mother everyday, though she knew her face was almost a mirror image of her late grandmother's, as she'd seen from the pictures. "That is simply adorable Kevin. There is no need to be jealous though, you see we're all friends. There are far too many ingrates in this place for us to NOT surround ourselves by the creme de la creme of the school." She truly did mean that, though Heather and Kevin probably didn't think she meant it in such a broad sense. She was nice and sweet to far too many people for anyone to guess she loathed majority of them.
"Oh and Heather, do wear the pink flavored lip gloss Mama bought you, and stick to a neutral shade on the eyes. They are already lovely, you do not need anything more than a little bit of eyeliner to be set," Veronika commented as she took a pair of tweezers to take a few stray hairs that were growing in from her shapely eyebrows, making them look even more perfect than before. "Getting ready for a date is usually fun, but strategic I think. You have to wear the right thing, smell just right, especially if you actually like your date." Veronika sighed and thought about the last date she went on before she came here. Truth was, she knew she could have her pick of any guy in the school, and for most of them she wouldn't even need her power. However right now, she didn't feel any of them were worthy of her, save one. The time for her to have Rumble would come, and she would make sure that he didn't look at her as a potential kleenex like he did with the blue haired whore.
"For now Kevin, please sit. Do no feel strained or jealous as I said. We are the best of friends in the school, our little group that is, and we should not feel uncomfortable within it. And Heather is such a sweet person that it would be a shame for you both not to get along," she commented, turning around in her vanity bench and giving Kevin a sweet smile. "However Kevin, when Liv comes out I would like some time alone with her if you would be so kind. She did not have the best first day thanks to that blue haired pile of waste, and I do not think that she'd feel so comfortable with a stranger after all she has been through. Not to say that she knows me all that well, or Heather for that matter, but it's a girl thing. When Ian comes to get her we will hang out. I think there is a Sex and the City marathon on now, so we can watch it till dinner." Veronika batted her long lashes at him sweetly, her eyes shining brilliantly like the usually did as she made him feel at ease with everything.

Uhhhhhhhhh. That was the only thing Heather could process in her head. It wasn't one of her "moments" where everyone would attack her for being blond. But the fact that Kevin admitted to being jealous of Heather... that was a bit of a shock to the New Mutant. She didn't understand why he would have gotten so jealous. She was naturally friends with Veronika first since they were roommates and also they spent time together on Veronika's first day at the academy. They had a lot in common, especially with fashion, television shows, music, and the list went on and on... OK maybe those were reasons for Kevin to be jealous but Heather still couldn't understand why.
The only thing she would understand was them not being close. She personally made it that way. Ever since he assumed her and Kyle were dating; she not only felt embarrassed, but hurt since Kevin couldn't keep his mouth shut in front of Gavin about his opinions. Kevin wasn't her friend to where he had the liberty of playing around that way, if that was his intention. To Heather, it was rude and just not funny, considering she had to explain to Gavin what Kevin really meant later on that day. Gavin wasn't upset or anything, he just thought Heather was leaving out that detail from their friendship for whatever her reasons. Still, Heather was really bothered about it and she distanced herself from Kevin ever since.
Now, he was apologizing... for something she just couldn't wrap her finger around. "There isn't any reason to be jealous Kevin," she agreed. She sat back down on her vanity bench and began to apply her eye liner. Heather then turned around and continued. She preferred speaking to people she needed to be serious with face to face rather than back to back. "You just need to watch what you say about people and to people. You have no filter, you just say whatever you want to and it can lead to big problems." Her tone was calm and nice, she wasn't angry at him because he clearly didn't know why Heather was bothered by him in the first place and that was because she didn't tell him. She couldn't blame him for that.
"So just please, be careful and realize that you need to understand how your relationship is with certain people and respect that boundary," she said. "Alright?" She gave him a small smile, hoping he would get what the heck she was talking about. If not, she would explain without hesitation. "And not to burst your bubble hun," she continued warily. "You do realize that Alex is strait right?" Alex, there was a person she hadn't really thought about much lately. She honestly didn't want to think about him because Veronika was nice enough to point out that he liked her. Heather was really oblivious about it and couldn't understand what people were seeing. She barely spoke to him and he was MIA for the most of the time. She was just glad he was back with a makeover and able to try and be apart of the team again. No one should be an outcast even when they sometimes deserve it. Certain people were an exception of course, but to Heather, Alex was just a troubled kid.
Focusing back on Kevin, Heather finished putting eye liner on her other eye and blinked several times to adjust her vision back to normal. Sometimes being a girl, was a pain in the ass. "You're right Ronnie," she said after examining herself quickly. "I was just thinking the same thing. Hey Liv, come on out when you're ready and come take a seat on my bed and make yourself comfortable."

She had to admit that she felt tones better after getting cleaned up. She was achy, and sore, and she was pretty sure she’d never actually be warm again, but hey… that’s what sweat shirts were for. Liv zipped up the velour track jacket that matched the smooth green pants Veronika had loaned her and gave herself one last look in the mirror. It could have been worse, she decided pragmatically, looking over her injury. For a passive mutant going up against an active one, it could have been way worse. Still, won’t be so easy for someone to put me down next time.
Liv hadn’t been kidding when she’d told Iceman that she was a lover, not a fighter. She was a pain in the ass and she’d mixed it up now and again, but never anything serious and never, ever had she been in actual danger before. This place, however, was different. If Ian hadn’t come in and peeled her off the wall when he did there was no telling how far things might have escalated. These kids were dangerous, hell, she was dangerous in the right circumstances, and that meant Liv had better revise her methods of self-defense and soon before her mouth got her ass mangled by someone. She had half a plan, swirling around in that curly head of hers and Liv smirked at her own reflection. She had no idea who, but someone was going to teach her how to throw a hit… and how to take one.
Liv frowned down at the open gash through her lower lip and pouted. It was pretty nasty. No way it would go unnoticed, either. “F*ck,” she muttered, turning away from the mirror. It was too early in her stay at the mansion to have her first battle wound. Liv was still new and people didn’t need to think she was hard to get along with, no matter how true that might be. Hopefully people didn’t gossip much and the whole thing would pass quietly and be forgotten by tomorrow. Hell, with a blue dude and a guy with wings running about, who the hell would bother looking at her? That made her feel a bit better as she fussed with her wild curls in an attempt to make them behave.
When she heard her name through the door, Liv realized she had been in the bathroom far longer than she intended. “Sorry, I’ll be right out!” She quickly wringed out her sodden clothes and folded them, placing her icy sneakers on top with a sad sigh. Her poor Cons… they had done nothing to deserve being so battered. Finally, Liv tossed her glossy curls over her shoulder and opened the door. “Sorry I took so long,” she said to Veronika as she emerged from the bathroom clean, groomed, and in a slightly better mood. “But I was a mess. Thanks again for letting me use your bathroom, Veronika.” Liv spotted the blonde that was primping in her mirror and cocked her head to the side in question. “And Veronika’s roommate? I’m Liv Cooper. Sorry about invading your bathroom.” She offered the Blondie as close to a smile as she could, but it dropped off when she laid eyes on the guy. “I sort of met you yesterday, right? With Carter?” She frowned, trying to remember. She’d met too many people yesterday to really be able to keep track. Liv scuffed her toe against the floor and tried to keep the uncertainty out of her voice. “I didn’t know you had friends over, and you look like you’re getting ready to go out,” she gestured to Blondie, “so if you want me out of your hair I can bail.”

As Heather had been talking Kevin let his mind replay through some of the things he had done and he realized how very true her words were. How did I become such an ass? When did this start? I was always such a good guy but now it seems pretty clear from what Heather's saying that I need to work on my people skills.
Standing as a gentleman did when a lady came into the room since now that he was made aware how far off point he had strayed he would be conscious of it, he looked at Liv. "Oh! Oh no don't mind me, please. I was just leaving. I'm sorta a fixture here, but I just stopped in to" he looked over at Heather "get some help with a couple of things." Smiling back at Liv he introduced himself again "Yes, we met. Last night. I'm Carter's roommate, my name is Kevin."
He stepped over to peck a quick kiss on Veronika's cheek before he spun back around and walked out. Stopping in the hall to look back in the room he said "Heather. Thank you." He looked like he was going to turn and walk but then he stopped and said "Liv, that looks painful. Maybe you should put some ice on it." Then with a smile he walked off down the hall.

Veronika waved to Kevin as he left the room, satisfied how this conversation went with him. She was still concerned about his tendency to pursue straight guys, but she supposed that it was much safer for him to do that above anything else. Right now though, the main focus of the petite redhead's attention was her new teammate, who at the moment looked the best she'd ever seen her look, clothes-wise at least. Then of course, Veronika's soft designer clothes that were made to enhance the figure of even those that lack one would naturally look better on her than anything that she could possibly own.
"I have to say you look wonderful in that Liv!" she exclaimed as she stood up and went over to her with a sweet smile on her enchanting face. Her sapphire blue eyes almost shined against her creamy pale skin that now had a gentle sun kissed glow to it after sun bathing a couple of days. Veronika always watched people carefully, gauging their reactions and knowing which image she was to project that would best suit them. Now Liv seemed like she didn't know what to do with the sweetness, but should Veronika add a bit more mischief to her behavior, it may translate better to get the girl cemented in her sphere.
"I would say that you look better than that blue haired pile of waste ever did, but that's hardly a compliment. I've seen rats in the subways of New York that were more fit for that compliment," Veronika scoffed and tossed her ponytail back. An adorable look of anger came across her face and she grabbed Liv's hand to sit her over on her vanity. "I cannot believe she had the nerve to attack another member of her own team. It is bad enough she ruined her own reputation by throwing herself at a man so far above her league it is purely ridiculous."
She grabbed her comb and some of her gel and began working on Liv's untamed curls, noticing the look that crossed the New Paragon's face. "Oh did she not tell you the whole story? I'm not surprised it is utterly humiliating. See there is this Hellion, he is one of the older boys named Brock Van Alstyne." A small little smile came on Veronika's face, thinking of her future with the devastatingly handsome man. "And yes he is that Van Alstyne, his father is one of the richest men in the world. Which of course you can see why it is laughable that he would ever take an interest in someone like her. She threw herself at him for a couple of days, and then just the other night she apparently came to his room and he used her like a tissue. Can you imagine someone having such a low opinion of herself to just throw herself at the closest man she could? Disgusting," Veronika spat, scrunching the light gel gently into her curls and making them frame Liv's face in pretty ringlets.
Veronika moved to sit next to her on the bench by the vanity, capturing Liv's eyes with her enchanting her further with the mixture of the sincerity and mischief that swirled in the impossibly blue pools. "Do not worry about that waste, Paragons take care of their own, something you will learn very soon. She was never a Paragon, she is a virus that infected our otherwise perfect team, and we will vaccinate her properly." With a wink to Liv, Veronika grinned at how the girl fell into the sphere of her influence and power all the more, and she was none the wiser.

“Oooooooh.” Liv made a face at herself in the mirror. “So that’s what it’s supposed to look like. Thanks, V.” She boinged one of her curls and watched it settle back into place. “S’not fair. I’ve spent sixteen years trying to tame my hair and you just did it in like two minutes.”
Grinning, and then wincing, Liv turned in her seat and let out a slow whistle. “I had no idea that Lorelai was… just a freakin shipwreck. She seemed so normal last night. Well, except for the whole...you know." Liv gestured to her hair. "Blue, man. Just blue. But attacking teammates, treating people like shit. Treating herself like shit. Super classy, dude. I mean poor—” she paused, not really wanting comment on what she had heard Ian say while he was holding her back from popping Frostbite’s head off and using it as a soccer ball… at least, that’s what Liv was telling herself would have happened. Besides, it wasn’t her business or her place to get into it.
“Whatever,” she finished lamely. “And I didn’t know a Van Alstyne went here. Mutants with influence. I like it.” Liv smirked and looked up at Veronika with a wicked glint in her tawny eyes. “Is he cute? I bet he totally is. I haven’t actually seen a bad looking guy since I’ve been here.” The thought brought a playful smile to her face regardless of the twinge to her lip. It was true that all the guys had been exceptionally pretty. Even the Idiot was a pretty boy though, sadly, that was where his charms ended. Something about him being a horse’s ass left a lot to be desired. “Let’s see, Iceman, clearly he falls into the pretty category. Ian has that All-American classic look. Dante’s got the whole bad boy market cornered. Carter has that awkward shy thing going… there’s that German guy with the PMS… can’t ever remember his name. Oh, and Gavin! He’d be cute if he wasn’t such a megalomaniac horndog.” She wrinkled her nose in irritation. She wasn’t down with the whole ‘I’m too sexy for my shirt’ thing.

"What?" she blurted out immediately. She turned her head from the vanity mirror in order to see Liv's face directly. Hearing that Gavin was being a "horndog" didn't exactly make Heather feel so happy about her date anymore. Veronika mentioned it first earlier in the day and Heather didn't think much of it because... well... that was how he was. But now that the actual girl who Gavin was "flirting" with confirmed it, she wasn't really happy with herself or what was happening.
Guess this talk with Gavin is actually going to happen, she thought sadly. But she wasn't one to jump to conclusions without really getting all sides of the stories first. After recovering herself from being so obvious, she cleared her throat and fixed her bangs. "What did he do now?" she continued. She made sure to sound inconspicuous and not give it away that she was actually "sorta kinda dating" Gavin. She wanted to hear everything and not make Liv feel bad or secretive by letting her know.
"C'mon spill the beans. He can be a flirt a lot of the time." She adjusted her pajama shorts, fingering them in order to not let her nerves get to her. She was really bothered from what she was hearing and needed to hear EVERYTHING!!

Veronika rolled her eyes and gave Heather a pointed look. "I told you that he practically tripped on his tongue when he first saw her, especially when you had that shirt on," she said turning to Liv with a wink full of mischief. Not that I blame him, it was barely a shirt at all. Anyone would have gawked, and they certainly did. She tapped a finger to her lips as if she was thinking long and hard about something. "There are many cute guys here, though in my solemn opinion Brock Van Alstyne tops them all in that department. However he has an air of power and danger about it, it is so deliciously sexy. I think so at least.
Her mind loved revolving itself in her future plans for Brock Van Alstyne. His power, the thrill of danger and deliciousness that ran through her body just looking at him would be all hers one day. It would most likely take more effort on her part, as he was not a man to cross or attempt to fool, but Veronika was extremely willing to do it and try her best at it. Not now of course, but in several years, she'd allow him the insight on her having chosen him for herself, a privilege many a man and boy dreamed of. She knew she was a catch, not just coming from a wealthy elite family with good bloodlines and ties, but also for the power that she held just bearing the Kudinov name and her physical superiority. When it came to her future choosing, it would be as always whoever she wanted, and make no mistake, Veronika got everything she wanted.
"Oh and you did not see Mato yet! Oh you will know who he is when you see him, he is simply... oh my," she fanned herself with her hand and winked at Heather, trying to get her to loosed up a little bit and not get so wound up about Gavin just yet. "I do not know a single girl that did not become speechless looking at that boy for the first time. He is like something out of your fantasies: Native American with long hair and a body so sculpted and inviting... oh he is indefinitely apart of the creme de la creme in the school." Veronika giggled and looked between the two girls, glad that Liv was becoming more at ease. "And just wait until you see him do his ceremonial rituals! Oh it is certainly a sight!" It was nice to have something like this to bond over, and Veronika loved how at ease Liv now seemed around her. Boys were the perfect topic to bond over and it was certainly working.

Liv’s nose wrinkled at Veronika’s words. She hadn’t really considered what sort of reaction she would get showing up in that particular shirt. She had just thrown on something familiar and comfortable and didn’t put more thought into it than that. Besides Liv was such a tomboy she was more used to hanging out with the guys than being ogled by them. Back home such things hadn’t been an issue, especially since her father flashed his badge if someone showed the slightest interest in her. Not a lot of guys dug the thought that their girl’s dad carrying a weapon and having them investigated.
Liv tucked her knees up under her chin and smiled lazily. Count on her Da to keep her cosseted and protected. Not that she had made it easy for him. Liv might have been well coddled, but that didn’t mean she coddled well. She had managed her fair share of trouble even with Ken Cooper and his keen eyes.
“So Mato, huh? Sounds nice.” She looked over at Veronika, whiskey eyes glinting wickedly. “Seriously, aside from the getting punched in the face bit, I think I’m going to like here. Lovely dudes left, right, and center…I’ll be a happy girl.” She absently twirled a hank of hair and glanced over at the blonde. “So what’s your jam?” she asked. “I bet it’s something awesome. Everyone here has the coolest powers. I just met Sean, he’s brilliant, isn’t he? You should have seen him at the animal shelter with the freaky metal trick… Anyway,” Liv stopped and cleared her throat. “What’s your name, again?”

Heather still felt a little shiver down her spine whenever Veronika mentioned Rumble. He was a scary person and it was the one thing Heather couldn't understand about her best friend. It was RUMBLE for christsake... RUMBLE!!! "Can we please just not talk about him," she retorted flatly with a roll of her eyes. Veronika was aware of how uneasy the Hellion made the New Mutant. For whatever reason it jollied her to bother the blond. Heather always got back at the Russian Princess by sending her pictures of GAP models on her phone. Don't you just love seeing your friends be frustrated with you?
"Mato we can definitely talk about," she continued with a wink and giggle. The Native American was very attractive and quite mellow. She didn't want to think that he fit the stereotype of a Native American and how they were depicted in movies and such, however Mato was very spiritual and well mannered. Sometimes stereotypes were a good thing, if they were thought of in the right context. Heather sighed and looked at herself one more time in the mirror before looking at Liv.
"I'm Heather. Heather McCarthy. And I can do a few things." With that, she concentrated on some of the water that still remained in Liv's hair. The new Paragon's hair was immediately dry and Heather collected the water into two waterballs; one levitating above each hand. She then focused of the density and converted the globes into ice for several seconds before they returned back to liquid. She smiled brightly and blinked her ocean blues. "But don't change the subject," she said with a fake giggle. "What did Gavin do?" This wasn't like her. Heather wasn't one to act fake or pretend she wasn't upset about something. But something inside her made her need to know and understand what Gavin thought of her. She really didn't know what to think at this point. But Veronika was there to make sure she would find out.

Liv scrunched a hand into her suddenly dry curls, eyes wide as Heather casually manipulated the water. Ah, she thought. Makes sense that this is the ‘Blondie’ Ian was talking about. Cool. “Alright, it’s official. My power is a joke.” Liv pretended to pout, but the one corner of her mouth ticked up. She could say what she wanted but Liv wouldn’t trade her power for anything. It might not be offensive or even defensive for that matter, but it suited her and she was content with what she had. Even if it was useless in a fight. “That’s really cool, McCarthy.”
When Heather brought the topic back to Gavin Liv could only shrug, completely unaware that she was stirring up a hornet’s nest. “He didn’t really do anything. Gavin just has a big personality. And he likes himself. A lot.” Liv rolled her eyes, remembering Gavin meeting her at the door the previous night. The first thing out of his mouth had been a come on, but Liv hadn’t taken him too seriously, and he’d been cool enough to introduce her to some of the others. She couldn't help but snicker, thinking of the cocky rock star. “He was nice. Let me meet his ‘entourage’. Maddy, and Tia, and… dude, what is that German kid’s name?” It frustrated Liv that she couldn’t remember. “Blonde. Kinda brooding. Whatever, I’m calling him Cranky Pants regardless. But Gavin… the kid needs a rolled up newspaper across the nose. Or a shock collar to mellow him out. He’s cool, though, and if he can play guitar half as well as he brags then we’re gonna be good buddies.” Liv dropped her drumsticks out of the cuffs of the borrowed track jacket and spun them over her fingers before they disappeared back up her sleeves.
“Nah, I like the more down to earth guys. Who needs drama, ya know?” She smiled at Heather, eyes still on the water orbs as they danced in the air. “Hey!" She straightened up, eyes intent on the water-worker. "You wouldn’t know how to suck the water out of books, would you? Or… a phone?”

Heather played around with the water orbs as she listened to Liv. Since she first came here, Heather's control in her ability had really come along. She still had some trouble fulling converting large amounts of water into ice, but her concentration and daily exercises have helped her balance and focus. Shadowkat really knew what she was doing. And the New Mutant was rather happy that she was learning such awesome ways to defend herself by using martial arts rather than pepper spray and a rape whistle; some parts of Brooklyn were known to be the worst areas in the city... add that with a paranoid mother... you get the point.
"You're talking about Jaspis," she said with a giggle. "Well everyone else calls him Jasper but the correct pronunciation is Jaspis. He doesn't care either way what you call him but it takes a while for him to warm up to new people. He isn't as bad as Riker though." This mad her laugh a bit. "He's too funny to watch sometimes. Wolves are too territorial sometimes." Shaking her head at the thought of her team leader, Heather sighed and looked at a beach curl that was dangling to the side. She made sure there wasn't a stray flyaway being annoying and not looking like the rest of her hair. Luckily it wasn't.
The orbs circled around Heather, juggling them with her mind. It was fun sometimes and she would have several more when having one of her many water fights with Gavin. Of course he always just blew them away with his wings... literally. She smiled at the thought before responding. "Of course I do," she replied warily. "Why?" Ian and Liv never mentioned the fact that Lorelai made an ice sculpture out of their room, so when Heather was asked that question, she couldn't do anything but wonder as to why. By now, the water orbs had converted into streams and were circling around her arms. She loved that trick and it was just fun to see how long she could go for this time around.

Images of her soggy books, icy phone, and snowy drum kit came to mind and Liv scowled down at her bare toes peeking out from under the hem of the pale green pants. “All my stuff, my books, my bed, my phone, my drums,” Liv emphasized her irritation by balling her hands up in her curls. “Lorelai snowed all over the room. What isn’t frozen solid is soaking wet. I know that it’s not a big deal about the clothes, but… I mean she just wrecked everything.”
Sullen, her lower lip stuck out as she shrugged, resting her chin on her knees. “Would you be able to help me dry my things out later? I mean whenever you’re done with whatever you’re dolling up for.” She couldn’t help but smile as Heather fixed her hair with one hand and play with the water in the other. It was some pretty wicked multitasking. “I don’t want to go back to my room for a while anyway… I’m sorry, did you just say wolves?” She perked up, suddenly interested again. “No one told me about there being wolves on campus. That is so cool.” She giggled to herself. There were horses coming tomorrow, new animals settling into the barn, a whole flock of brilliant little spies…
I’ll have to find Cuil, too, she thought with a small sigh. No doubt he was trapped inside the mansion, flying around in circles somewhere peeping his tiny sparrow head off. She didn’t want Emma Frost throwing a fit about her having a bird in the place, especially since she had no intentions of ever throwing Cuil out. It was nice having eyes and ears about. She wasn’t too worried. The bird would find her, she’d get something for her lip, and, though the electronics might never work again, her things would eventually dry out whether or not Heather had time to help her out. Things would get better.
Because Liv sure as hell wasn’t going to let them get worse.
