"Had I known you would be so eager for the task of keeping me warm, I would have given Northern Schools more of a consideration," Aideen said with a smirk, her hands moving from his chest to his shoulders as her leg moved with his hand and slung over his hip. A sigh of contentment left her as she arched into his embrace, more for the sake of warmth than anything else as she fully intended for him to fulfill his promise of keeping her warm. In the current state, it was difficult for anything to bother her, but alas the firebender's mind drifted still to the difficulties that lay ahead of them.
Despite what Logan told her, Aideen knew that it wouldn't be so easy for him to walk away from all the X-Men for her as he tried to make it out to be. It would effect him the same way it would for her to walk away from Niki, Chester, Chopper, and Cyclops. As much as it would hurt her, she would rather be the one to leave and him to stay with them. It seemed so selfish to want him to go with her wherever she should decide, but in the end she wouldn't stop him from his decision, and she wouldn't resent him for whatever he may choose. It just made a feeling of dread well up inside her at the thought of all that had yet to come.
Aideen kissed the corner of his lips before tucking her head into that spot in the crook of his neck, a soft sigh escaping her. "If I am to leave, I don't mind going to a Northern School. It is more practical, as it's closer to you and closer to the school," she said quietly, her mind moving into a state of thought again. "I wouldn't dorm on campus of course, I would get a place of my own, which would have to be a very small place as living in the North is also more expensive." She stroked his shoulder gently to reassure him and snuggled into him.
"I probably should have thought in those terms sooner. However," a smirk appeared on her face as she moved her head to his shoulder to be able to see his face. "I was under the impression that you liked moist heat." Her bottom shifted in his hand then to make a point. "But I suppose I there was always that chance that I was wrong," she said in a whisper.

"As heats go, yea.. I think there is a certain 'Moist Heat' that's a favorite of mine." He let his fingers find those spots in her ribs where she was just lately becoming ticklish. It had taken him some time to break her down and to get her to laugh when he tickled her. It still wasn't a full fledged tickley laugh that he'd hoped for but he would keep at it he thought.
"Heh..haha..heh." He started to laugh himself a little at her reaction and the way she wiggled. He had to be careful not to get her, or himself, all worked up again. The problem with wiggling moist heat on his lap was not something he would consider a problem actually at all, except for the fact that they did have to get back to their real life eventually, and the setting sun would only make getting Mason's car rolling again more difficult.
"Hey now dollface, ya know I'll keep ya warm no matter where you go. I don't want to make your choice on a school any harder" he cleared his throat and shifted under her slightly as he held onto her hips and adjusted her to make his.. point ..felt as well as heard "but you don't need any help in that regard, ya got this way a makin things hard.. fer yerself. If you could only let me help you, you know I would. No questions asked. I know ya like doing everything for yerself, but when it comes to me, I wantcha to put yer pride aside and let me help you."
"Take yer time with that, no pressure, but ya know what Angel Eyes? I think we better be gettin back. I got a feelin the kids are missin us." He wondered how many ways Mason had cursed him since he'd left him there. He chuckled under his breath at the image in his mind of Mason stuck like an ornament to the hood of his car. "We'll figure it out together.. if ya want my help." He stood up, cradling Aideen in his arms against his body, and placed her on her feet. A long embrace and a smoldering kiss made him regret he had a sense of responsibility, but he gathered the rest of his clothing and started to dress.

While it took Logan less than a minute to get dressed, it took Aideen far longer than she was comfortable with. For one, the cold wind was distracting and now that the sun had for the most part set, it made the temperature in the air drop to an uncomfortable level to a girl who's average body temperature stood at about 108-110 degrees Fahrenheit. Another problem was that the skin tight leather pants she was partial to were not exactly easy to slip on. The fact that Logan got them off her without getting frustrated and ripping them was something that Aideen considered a critical test of patience on his part.
When she had finally had her pants out, she handed Logan back his shirt with a soft and apologetic smile, with what one could call a hint of shyness to it. "I apologize for taking your shirt. I was rather cold and I can clean it for you if need be. The components in the detergent I use would still keep the shirt soft," she assured him and zipped up her leather jacket. Lacing her fingers with his, Aideen allowed herself to enjoy the walk back, her dark eyes staring off a bit as she was lost in thought. There was a lot to think about upon their return back to the school, and she had a good idea that she was in for some lonely nights compared to the last few where she was quite spoiled.
"Oh..." Her dark chocolate eyes were wide in amusement as they came upon the campsite. There was Mason lying in a defeated heap trapped under a tree on the front of his car looking incredibly annoyed and Tracy sitting nearby reading a book. "You never were a man that would leave a situation without making sure your point was understood," Aideen said as a smirk broke out on her lips looking back over at Logan. "Had you told me this earlier, the outcome of the time in the woods would not have changed but I guarantee that you would have been unable to keep a smile off your face for the next two days," she said seriously and leaned over to kiss his cheek, still smirking as she looked back at Mason. "I believe the expression is 'Payback is an Itch' correct?" The look on Logan's face was enough for her to frown slightly as she realized she got it wrong. "I need to start writing them down."

"Well I'm so glad you guys are good now. Really it does me good to see you two crazy kids so happy and in love. But you think you can cut the lovey dovey shit and get me outta here?" Mason growled from underneath the tree. He'd been pulling himself with all his strength and to no avail. It hit his pride something fierce that he had no choice but to wait for Wolverine before he got out from under the tree. And that guy took his damn time too.
At this point he had been stuck under a tree for three hours, seventeen minutes and forty eight seconds and counting. And Aideen and Logan strolled in both happy as can be and Logan looking too satisfied and content than should be allowed. It made Mason all that much more annoyed. His girl trying to keep him entertained worked for the first hour, and than that entertainment turned into annoyance and restlessness.
And right then, still trapped under the damn tree and watching the couple be all creepy and content, since usually Aideen never looked as content as she did then, well it did nothing to help his mood and it was obvious to all whether they had Tracy's power or not. Sure he still intended to apologize to Aideen, but not while he was trapped under a damn tree.

"Oh, come on now.. ya don't take enough time fer yerself and you know I'm always one ta help a friend get in touch with their sensitive side." Logan said to Mason, then turned and shot a grin at Ember as he walked up closer to the car. "An lookit'cha.. all sensitive and such. Awwww" he said in a tone one might speak to a baby in. "Does my heart good to give you a chance ta cry about it son. Really I think this is exactly the therapy you needed.. I know I got what I was needing, and I gotta confess," he reached up to rub his hand across his mouth and then using the back of his hand he roughly rubbed the scruff of his chin to scratch it "I feel like a new man... how 'bout you?"
Then after a second to laugh silently to himself at Mason, stuck like a turtle flipped on his back in the sand and pinned like an asshole to the hood of a car, he popped a single claw with a 'SNiKT' and sliced down dead center on the guy's gut. The tree, huge as Paul Bunyan's toothpick, seemed almost to fly off his young friend in two giant chunks- a top and a bottom and Logan pulled Mason up by the collar of his shirt. "So Bub, lemmie ask ya... what didja learn?"

Mason looked right in Wolverine's face and serious as ever answered with what many would call the perfect mix of annoyance and sincerity. "Watch my temper and don't piss off the guy that could hit me with a tree," he said in an even tone and smirked a bit, feeling much better now that he was at least out from under that tree. He sighed and shrugged off the man's grip, glancing over at Aideen. "Lemme go and let me show ya what I did learn." Mason waited until Logan did let him free before he walked over to his friend and teammate.
Stopping in front of her, he looked down at her silently, taking in the expression on her face and trying to read the emotions that reflected in her dark eyes that he swore were more guarded than his own. Mason felt like shit for the things he said to her, and hell he felt like crap for the entire weekend and for completely disregarding her. This weekend, he wasn't as good of a friend as he liked to think he was, and on top of all that he realized that he still had a lot to learn about being a leader.
"Aw man Aideen, I'm really sorry. I don't say that a lot, but I really am right now. I got a short temper, always had. It got better since I was younger but hey I'm only human and I'm bound to %*$& up," he said sincerely with a serious face, his hand moving to her toned and slim shoulder, thumb brushing the leather that covered it. "You got every right to punch me and beat the living shit outta me. But for now..." Gently as he could, Mason gave out the tough guy routine for just a second and pulled Aideen into a hug. It was partially a reassurance to himself as well, since the image of her disappearing by the cliffs was still fresh in his mind. He didn't sense people the way Tracy did, and he didn't have a heightened sense of smell like Logan, so his automatic thought had been that she was over the cliff and lost to them in the seas.
"Do me a favor though, after you're done punching me and setting me on fire and being an ass and all that," he began, smirking into her silky hair that still smelled like her sweet shampoo. "Don't ever scare me like that again. I thought for a good couple of seconds that you were in that ice cold water, and that was it. I don't care 'bout a lot of people, but those I do... man I just can't handle thinking something happened to them like that." He hugged her close for the same reason he hugged Tracy while pinned under the tree: to reassure himself that they were alive and safe.
Mason sighed into her hair and rubbed her back, just glad that she was alive and feeling stupid that in that loss of temper, he forgot how important it was to him just for her to be alive and in front of him. "Just don't do that again, please," he said quietly and held her close. He knew she hated to be touched like this and really any sort of physical contact, but he needed this: to feel her alive and breathing in his eyes and to be reminded that he didn't fail in keeping someone he cared for safe.

There were few things that would have made Aideen feel extremely awkward, and being touched so intimately by a friend the way Mason had her then was one of them. Sure she received hugs from others before, Niki giving her a hug once in awhile and others as well, but it made her feel uncomfortable each time, Logan being the exception. Psychologically, she could link it to the fact that she had nearly no intimate or affectionate contact growing up, but no matter what the reason, Aideen just didn't like it.
The moment that Mason brought her close, she stiffened up completely, her personal space feeling extremely violated. Awkwardly, she brought a hand up and patted his back lightly and stiffly. "Promising that I won't scare you like that again is unrealistic as I am not able to make premonitions on what the future holds. I will however try my best to avoid situations that appear perilous," Aideen said still stiff as ever and desperately wanting to pull away. "However, I assure you that I am very much alive, and there is no need to reassure yourself by violating my personal space. I forgive you, really."
She shifted in his grip, feeling more and more uncomfortable at the moment. "Letting me go now would be adequate thank you very much," she said and with a good deal of effort pulled herself out of his grip. When she separated from the embrace, she still looked a bit uncomfortable. Aideen wasn't used to emotional moments or being touched, and the fact that Logan got away with it all the time was damn miraculous. She bit her lip and turned her dark eyes over to Logan. "Now that all is settled, may we leave?" Aideen asked trying to shake off the uncomfortable feeling from that close embrace. She didn't know when she'd get more comfortable with people, but she had a feeling it would be a slow process.

Aww this is just too adorable for words Tracy thought as she hopped down off the hood of Mason's car. "Well, now that everybody is all cuddly" she said with just the right touch of sarcasm and a smile towards Aideen as she looped an arm around her guy and gave him a squeeze, to comfort him after the ordeal of showing outwardly how much he truly cared. "I think we need to figure out how we're going to get home. Mason?"
She looked up at him with quizzical eyes "Didn't you say your car was finished? It looks a bit worse for wear, sure, but can't it get us back to the Academy if we just go at a good pace? I mean the engine's still good enough to drive right? Even if it looks beat up won't it still run?" She batted her eyes at him hoping he would do his best to get the pair of them out of the woods in his car. She really didn't want to ride back on a motorcycle.
"I hope you can get it running. Please say you can. It's getting cooler and I don't really like motorcycles all that much... I've seen what they can do to a body." She cringed at the thought of the mess of a scene she had found herself in the midst of on a highway one time and how the motorcyclist was cut almost in half and impaled on a car. It took her almost four hours to heal him and in the end, months later, the man committed suicide anyway saying he didn't want to be living because of 'some damn Mutie'.
After that she made a point to not check up on anyone she healed, not unless they asked her to visit.

"Well Doll, let's find out. It don't look good from the outside though," Mason said and dropped a kiss on her head before he moved to the car, sparing a glance at Aideen and smirking. It was damn adorable how uncomfortable she was with a simple hug, but hey that's just how she was and he thought it was cute. "Had enough of warm and cuddly Fox," he teased as he struggled to pop open the horribly dented and scratched hood of his car. It took him a couple of minutes to get it open, and it came open with a loud scratchy noise.
Mason inspected the engine, which did look to be intact since he had Sean reinforce the body of his car with several extra layers of metal to keep it from wrecking easily. Now that he looked at the damage to the car as a whole, it was only the front that was damaged, but damn did he hate how it looked. Sure it wasn't the first time he had a wrecked car, far from it, but each time he hated it. Mason let out a large sigh as he brought the hood back down and looked at the car again, inwardly cringing again as she had to really push the hood down for it to snap in place.
"Engine is still intact, so I guess I can drive it home. I'll decide if I wanna give Hector a call or not on the drive home. We're not that far away anyways, we should be home in about twenty minutes to a half hour depending on traffic at this time," he concluded with a sigh. "Alright Doll get in and let's go home. Logan, you're still a son of a bitch. And seriously man, fix the hair. I know it's all over the place anyways, but that's a little too obvious on what you were up to," he said with a smirk and chuckled at the look he got in return from both the fiesty fire bender and the feral man. He got into the car and it thankfully started on the second try. Finally, they were on their way home.
