Heather went into her room after she spent her time with Lurai. Their little bonding session was good for both of them and Heather was more than happy to have a promising new friend. As she returned to her room, another yawn overcame her. She placed her books back into the large cardboard box she brought from home. She was too lazy to reach and strain to place the box back at the top shelf of her closet. She put in on the floor next to her bed and kicked it under her bed.
She stood there, thinking about what to do next. She was tired however it was too early to sleep yet, at least for her standards. She wanted to do something before she settled for sleep. She stood there, and thought about what to do. She didn't want to draw, didn't need to eat (it was past hours anyway). So what was there to do? That was when Heather's mouth formed the slightest smirk. I haven't explored the place yet, she thought to herself. It wouldn't hurt.
Leaving her room and closing the door, Heather quietly walked down the hallway towards the foyer of the mansion. She looked up the grand stairs and wondered what else was in the vast mansion. She went to the second floor and wandered. She was able to find the library and then another door she was also not familiar with. She opened the door and saw a large room with a wall of glass. The night sky illuminated the floor of the room and Heather's eyes widened. The observation tower was her new favorite place.
Heather edged to the wall of glass and starred at the sky. The moon was incredible.

Lorelai was still unable to sleep, even after briefly talking to that girl whose name she still had yet to learn. There would be another time for that, she guessed, but right now she wanted to take a walk. She debated putting on some regular clothes, but decided that her pajamas outfit of an oversized black t shirt long enough to be a short dress with blue pajama pants was fine enough. Who was she going to see? She wanted a little walk and clear her head a little.
She went to the first place she could think of: the observation tower. After all, she had a lovely time there with Ian earlier that day. But this time, it was completely dark out, and the moon was out, though she liked the sunset very much.
As she made her way up there, she sighed. She was going to stare out the windows and just ponder things. Though as she reached the top, she saw that she wouldn't be alone. "Hey..Heather," she said quietly, her thoughts flashinig back to dinner again as she was reminded that they both pissed her boyfriend off.

Heather turned in shock, not expecting anyone to find her. At first she believed it to be Ms. Frost, for she did know that were was probably a curfew and technically, she wasn't following it. However after seeing it was Lorelai, Heather was able to calm down and relax. The incident during dinner that day was still in her head, and she felt terrible.
"Hey Lorelai," she responded with not much enthusiasm. "Ian is still pissed?" Making the stupid mistake of soaking Ian to the bone in order to help Lorelai's cause, was not the best thing to talk about. She and Lorelai made Ian upset, well at least annoyed, and his reaction was something Heather had never seen before. Seeing Lorelai in her down mood, didn't make the city girl feel any better.

Lorelai walked further into the tower, to a window near Heather. She heard the dullness in her friend's voice and smiled a little in response. In reference to Ian, she looked out the window and made a sort of thoughtful face, "Um.. I don't know. After he left I went to my room and slept for a little. Then I got restless and took a walk," she explained. She was still resolved to let him cool off for a bit before she'd approach him. Normally that was what she'd do with people mad at her.
"So what brings you here?" she asked, still looking out the window.

Heather nodded and bit her lip. Way to go Heather, piss of your crush. She wanted to slap herself. With a sigh, she looked back to the sky and then to Lorelai. "I couldn't sleep, well not yet anyway so I went for a walk to." She winced to Lorelai. For some reason, she felt guilty for making Ian mad at her. She felt stupid and immature and she wanted to make the ice girl know that she truly was sorry for her actions. "I'm sorry I made Ian get mad at you. I was going to apologize but you guys ran off so I thought.......will you know....you needed your space." She bit her lip again, hoping the blue haired girl would accept her apology. They just made things right between them. It would have been a waste to throw it all away.

"Ah," Lorelai said as Heather explained why she was up here. When she spoke again, Lorelai looked away from the scenery outside the window to her, hearing her apologize. She nodded slightly, and then spoke. "Yeah, me too, I did chuck food at him too. But it's okay I guess, I mean as long as we're forgiven for it...I know I'd be royally pissed if that happened to me," she went on. "And thanks for the space..one thing though. Please don't soak him like that again if it's not in the pool or lake or something," she quietly requested. "Even I can only get away with so much," she said, looking out to the window again.
Sighing, she leaned near the window so she could look out. She wanted things between Heather and her in good condition. She liked being friends with her rather than enemies or with strong dislike or something like that. Not only was it easier to be friends, it made the atmosphere around them better.

She sighed and nodded, feeling worse than before. "Yeah OK," she said sadly as she bit her lip. She looked to Lorelai and noticed she was very down. She assumed that Ian said something to her or made her feel bad about making his clothes dirty. "Is that all that is bothering you or something else?" She didn't want to make Lorelai feel as if she was pushing information out of her. However they were sort of friends now, and Heather was one to be there for anyone she wasn't enemies with.
She looked to Lorelai and took several steps toward her before stopping and waiting for her reply.

Lorelai smiled a bit as Heather answered her though she sounded sad. At being asked what was bothering her if anything, she shrugged. "Eh, I just sorta think I shouldn't have thrown food, granted it was the only thing I thought of at the time, but can't change anything now so I just won't do it again. That's all. Other than that, I'm just thinking, and when I think," she said, letting out a little sheepish laugh, "Sometimes people think I'm extra sad or depressed or mad by the look on my face," she explained, a hand reaching up to run a hand through her hair.
At least she was sure there wasn't anything else bothering her, so she smiled a bit at Heather. When she talked to Ian tomorrow she was sure things would be better and she'd be back to her normal self.
"Anything up with you?" she asked, seeing how Heather had looked a bit off as well.

Heather nodded and smiled while she still bit her lip. She was happy that Lorelai was OK and nothing else bothered her. "Yeah I understand," was all she said. She had several friends from the city who were like that too. When they were upset looking, they were usually just lost in thought or bothered by little things.
She looked to Lorelai as she asked her question, and responded with a shrug. "Nothing really," she said with a sniff. "I hung out with Puppy~Love for a bit. She is pretty nice. Speaking of that, what happened for her to be knocked out anyway?" Heather reminded herself of the day before when Lurai was being immature in the hangar with Ms. Frost. She left before the wolf girl was knocked out by their headmistress and didn't really ask around why or care at the moment. She didn't want to ask Lurai for she believed it would upset her talking about it. So the next best thing was to ask someone who was still there.

Lorelai smiled when Heather said she understood. Good then, at least she wouldn't mistake her for sad or whichever so easily. She listened to her as she spoke, nodding as she did so. "Ah, that's cool," she said, smiling. It would be good for Lurai to have a friend, last she remembered she looked as if that was what she needed. She imagined she would be nice, once she let people in and let them talk to her. When asked about why she was knocked out the night before in the hangar, Lorelai let her face go a little confused.
"Uhh.. I don't really know why, she looked like she was throwing an angry fit. Might have been something else but I was too tired to really know why," she said, shrugging slightly and looking almost apologetic for being unable to give a decent answer.

She smirked at Lorelai's answer. "Yeah we were all pretty tired weren't we," she said with a slight giggle. The massive fight that the Brotherhood brought upon them was still in Heather's head. She was still in shock, as she was sure everyone else was as well. The fact that the one place she called home; the one place she was able to feel most safe, was actually attacked. She couldn't believe that it was possible. Especially with Ms. Frost's power and Cyclops' wisdom and leadership. However it did, and Heather along with everyone else was going to have to accept it and remember that the world was not the best place no matter where you are.
Heather sighed at the thought and bit her lip again. She was nervous slightly since she and Lorelai made up. It was good that they did, however was it bad to say she still felt awkward that everything was actually OK between them? She didn't know and couldn't help but feel that Lorelai felt the same way; at least some degree of it.
Heather looked at the row of chairs and decided to sit. She was tired after all, and standing wasn't really something any human was capable of doing for a long period of time. As she sat, she smiled to Lorelai and patted a chair next to her.

Lorelai nodded as Heather giggled out her answer; everyone was tired after all the fighting. She still couldn't believe that yesterday happened, all aspects of it, fighting these powerful enemies and managing to push them back with the teachers doing the finishing touches, being burned like she was and then being healed, and definitely saying things she wanted to get out with great reactions. It was a hell of a day, that was for sure, however she was keeping it at the back of her mind so that the fact that almost all of them died from bombs that could've gone off if not moved wouldn't bug her or plague her thoughts.
"Yeah, we were all tired. Hey, at least we got sleep and stuff, granted today was pretty busy too," she said, watching as Heather walked to a row of chairs and patted the one next to the one she sat on. At her friend's insistence, she walked over too and sat down with a bit of a sigh. She glanced out a window across from her, the bright moon in view, though the light was dulled and filtered by a sheet of clouds. "Hmm," she mumbled as she waited as the clouds slowly moved away from the moon, bringing its view back into its stunning clarity. "The night is a great time, the only time the moon seems this pretty," she commented randomly, her head slightly tilted as she continued to watch it.

She looked up at the moon as Lorelai glanced over. Hearing her comment, Heather couldn't disagree. The moon was most beautiful at night and like her new friend, Heather loved it too. As they watched nature's work in silence, Heather thought about the previous day again. Having Lorelai mention it, triggered the thought. The work in the front of the mansion was going by quickly. She wondered if the workers were mutants as well or just well payed regular, normal humans. Either way, Ms. Frost knew they were obviously able to be trusted.
Bringing her knees into her chest on the chair, Heather leaned back and sighed. She and Lorelai were both tired and bothered of Ian's reaction. However Ian was definitely going to forgive his girlfriend instantly. Forgiving Heather wasn't something she was so sure about. They barely hung out since he and Lorelai officially got together and then when they finally began to speak again this morning, she pissed him off. Heather wanted to smack herself, however was able to get over it.
She looked to Lorelai, not really knowing what to say. But being with her and not speaking didn't bother her at all. It was nice to not have that awkward silence with someone you use to hate...well not really hate...just envy. Instead of making up some random topic, Heather responded Lorelai's comment. "Yeah," she said. "It is incredible."

Lorelai smiled a little and looked at Heather as she heard her answer and saw that she had curled up onto the chair with a sigh. "Makes me want to get into astronomy sometimes, just by looking at it, you know?" she said, even though some languages and forensic science interested had interested her for far longer. But the stars and planets was something she always liked but never really went after, but hey it was a fancy.
Crossing one leg over the other, she leaned forward so she could rest her arms on top of her raised knee, and then her head on top of her arms, glimpsing at Heather and then outside where the dark sky covered the landscape.

Heather nodded and smiled. "Mhmm, I gotcha." She looked at the stars and sighed again. Something else was bothering her, however she couldn't identify what it was. She felt....incomplete. A hole was within her and thought about what could have caused it. She thought about the argument with her mother earlier in the day. That wasn't the best way to follow the morning. But that wasn't it. She thought about Jumper and his confession of him liking her. They never were able to get a chance into talking about that since she sort of ran off. She would talk to him about it tomorrow after she apologized to Ian.
She then thought about dinner. Although she felt bad, Ian being upset at her, surprisingly was not the reason for the "hole". She sighed again, angry with herself for not recognizing the bothersome emotion. Looking up at the sky, Heather noticed the vastness of the observation tower. The entire room was surrounded by glass. The construction was amazing. She spotted Orion; easiest constellation to spot throughout the year. But then she saw something else. Something flying. She stood up from the seat with a quizzical brow and observed what was heading toward her. "Hey what is that?" she asked Lorelai. She walked up to the glass and saw a flying motorcycle. Someone was on it....no make that two. The dark figures were flying on a motorcycle? Heather's heart began to race. It was the Brotherhood again, she knew it. But Ms. Frost was home. She would be able to detect them way before they were visible wouldn't she?
