Lurai walked slowly to the Lake once more. Her intentions this time far from similar to the first. In her long baggy pants and big baggy t-shirt, the cool air tingling her burnt and healing skin. She walked barefoot up to the side of the lake. She sat down on the edge and stuck her toe in the water before pulling it back out and hugging her legs to her body, curling up in a ball. It was odd, but she was frightened of the water. The thought of submerging herself scared her.
She rested her head on her knees and thought about the man named Magneto. Her new enemy. Her hand unconsciously went to her neck. She wondered if the bruise would ever fade, part of her wishing it wouldn't, at least then she'd have a constant reminder of what she needed to do. Her body was soar, more so than ever before, but she needed to train, even more she needed to leave. She would hate to have to tell Riker, but the truth was, she needed to destroy this man and the only way to do it would be on her own. Though this place was nice and kind to her, she would need to set out on her own. She'd sew up her outfit and get some rations and prepare for her leave. She'd need to talk to Ms. Frost and then say her goodbyes.
Thinking of Ms. Frost, that made her slightly sad, as she had grown fond of the woman. The woman who had taken the role of her mother. The one she always wanted. It would be hard to break the bonds between her and Riker, but it had to be done. She wrapped her arms back around her legs and looked out at the smooth lake. The one that had almost take her life in not what seems even 48 hours ago.
