Aideen had the keys to her Ninja in her pocket next to the wad of cash as she opened the wooden door with an open sign on it.
TINK TINKLE
The little wooden bell sounded as she opened the door inside the shop. Aideen looked around and felt as if she stepped into a shop in the 1960s. The shop smelled of pine and wood and there were bonsai plants and flowers all over the front pine counter and there were rows and rows of food as well as a produce isle where there was a big sign that said 100% ORGANIC. Everywhere else were carved wooden signs that indicated what was on each isle.
Not wanting to force Cyclops to roam with her, she went off on her own quietly and respectfully taking one of the large woven baskets that they offered by the door and began walking through the isles. It was a zen environment with homemade pine shelves and tribal sounding flute music sounded through the air. She looked at the jars of food and winced a bit at the prices. She was right they were slightly high. She carefully picked a jar of green olives and placed it in the basket. She walked through the isle, also grabbing two boxes of granola bars and bypassing the all natural raw meal bars because the were around $16 for a small box. That was way out of Aideen's price range, though she could use them. She also grabbed some Spirulina tablets, which for a only a small bottle was way too much but those were essential for Aideen. She sighed and placed the small $30 bottle in her basket and didn't bother looking at anything else as she went straight to the cold beverage isle and looked at the rice milk. She needed food that didn't spoil easily since she had no plans to go into the kitchen anytime soon.
Aideen set the basket down and added up the amount it would cost to buy the five items. It came out to a total of $88.93. Great that's only seven dollars left over. But then again she did expect it to be pricey and silently wished that she brought more money. But she'll deal for now. Aideen grabbed her basket and walked up to the cashier, where a tall light haired older man dressed in a burlap dashiki and hemp pants sat writing in a leather bound book. Aideen placed her basket on the counter and took out her cash. Frowning at the small amount of items in her basket, Aideen watched as he rang them up, and wondered if there was a way for her to go into the bookstore. Just to look around of course.
