Seeing that Miss Frost was regaining herself in the hoard of demons and that Hardlight was getting into action with distracting them with light frisbees reassured Frostbite. Looking up into the sky she could see that Ember along with Cyclops were back, and about ready to attack when she heard a scream that sounded human ringing out behind. Taking the seconds she had to turn around, she saw that D'mnchyld had fallen, and there was a gruesome demon with talons and blue flames looming over her. Even after the waves of ice shards she had sent out, she felt she still had enough energy and enough trapped cold to do something about it. Looking back to where she had been facing she saw that pretty much everyone else was dealing with the stampede. She decided then that she'd do what she could to help out k'8. I can do it, I can, she told herself as she turned and started towards k'8, Sean, and the demon.
Stoping a safe enough distance from where she wouldn't be seen by the demon, who was focused on k'8, Frostbite took a deep breath, nervous about how well she'd fare about taking out the blue flame, but she extended her hands and released the strongest flurry of snow she had ever made, stronger even than when she had helped Hardlight get out of his protective shell. Her face contorted with effort as she unleashed a tiny storm in hell and swirled it around the demon, whiting it out from vision using the cold and energy she had absorbed while in the tube. FREEZE! she willed the snow around the demon, her fingers tightening and curling in slightly as she made it turn into solid ice.
She breathed heavy now that the demon was encased in what was now a block of ice, and sunk to her knees, looking at what she had done. "You okay?" she asked k'8 breathily, looking over at her while now feeling drained from having done so much in that move. She didn't know that was the demon that had killed Guardian, but she hoped freezing him helped, but she really couldn't help worrying because he had blue flames, which she knew were hotter than regular flames.

Confused, the demon, evil and utterly devoid of humanity looked at Katie and a moment later it was encased in solid ice. In the split second before it sheeted over and died a sound escaped it's lips, or rather it's skull where it's lips should have been. It never finished the word but it sounded like a question coming to bear, it managed to hiss out in a sick sounding fizzle "M' s-st-re---?"
Perplexing. What a strange sound. The beginning of a spell? Was it summoning it's hell hounds? It would never tell. It could never tell, for the creature... was finally... dead. Inside the ice it's fire snuffed out, it's life force extinguished, it looked like a crinkled up skeleton with grizzled blue hunks of meat hanging on it. It was a horrid sight.

"Take us in fast and low, I'm going to cave a slice out of the landscape!" Scott called up to her as the launched out of the cave. His beam, a ruby quartz colored lazer of concussive force capable of punching a hole in the side of a mountain, he focused and let fly. A huge sound of a crashing jet plane could be heard as her divided the area between his students and his love. Emma on the side with the demons he knew she would be able to stay safe for a few moments more as those moments he needed to generate the mote he hoped would buy them all a little time.
It was wide, wide enough he hoped, to keep the demons away. The leapers would find it a challenge a nigh impossible test of their own natural ability. Deep it was as well. Deep enough so that there was the seepage of lava coming up in spots. "I'm getting a little hot down here." Cyclops finally called out as they finished their pass and he could bear the agonizing heat no longer. he would surely bear the marks of Ember's hand prints for many years. Surely that was, if he did survive this.
It was a massive chasm, but not massive enough. It could never be, there would always be ways around any obstacle, but for now it would have to do. He looked around now as Ember flew them back quickly to where Scott pointed. He needed to rejoin the children as they surely would need him near. There had been a close call he noted as he saw the Demon-killer Frostbite collapsing to her knees. "Take me down there quick Ember, they're looking a bit worse for the wear. How are you feeling by the way?" He asked, worried now that he'd been too focused on his task to waste a moment on concern. 'How could she be doing? She reminds me of Jean like this.' Scott thought.

Without a word, Aideen did as she was told, going back into full battle mode and flying Cyclops wherever he asked her to go. She kept her mind focused as she supported Cyclops' weight as steady as she could as he blasted the Earth with his massive optic beam. Ember kept her eyes on the scene around her, spying the ice bender's very gutsy move on saving D'mnchyld. You've certainly redeemed yourself Ice Bender. Despite the foolish actions, I must respect the shine of a warrior's spirit that came through of her sacrifice to save the girl. It was that moment where Frostbite earned a shine of respect in Aideen's eyes. Only five other people at the school held that level of respect and only one of those five was another student.
Aideen flew Cyclops down when he blasted the chasm into the ground, letting go of him the second his feet touched the ground. She flew in front of him and saw the slightly charred marks from her hands on his chest. I should have tried harder to not burn him. He is injured enough as it is. "I am perfectly fine. I apologize for your burns," Aideen answered with a hint of sincerity behind her robotic tone that she took on when in battle mode. Now that she was no longer holding Cyclops, flames sprouted around her body, framing it but not covering her. Her fire lit eyes shone brighter than ever as she looked over to see Hardlight and Emma Frost doing all they could against these demons. "Pardon me sir," she said and flew up high above Cyclops towards the deep chasm he blasted.
In an artful and practiced form, Aideen brought her hands in front of her in Namaste or prayer form. In reverence she brought her touching palms above her head, looking up and taking a deep breath, powering herself up. Her mind cleared and Aideen felt the heat being seeped into her skin as the flames framing her body intensified. Aideen separated her hands and a huge beam of fire erupted from her and hurled high and lighting up the red sky. The beam of fire curled down and blasted right into the chasm where many demons had already fallen. The demon leapers were incinerated in mid air from the intense heat and the screaming of the demons in the chasm filled the air.
Aideen brought her hands back down and began hurling fireballs at any demon leaper that tried to leap over the chasm. Her aim was true and precise as they hurled like large bullets at the leapers.

"Kate!" Sean yelled when he saw the demon come out and focus on Kate. He yanked her back into him and raised his gun just as Lorelai froze him into a it into a huge block of ice. He breathed with relief, but a look of puzzlement came across his face. Sean looked down at Kate, who he held protectively to his side as his face screwed up in confusion. "What was he gonna call you Kate? It sounded like he was gonna say something to you," he said to her. Sean held her tight and leaned down to press a quick kiss on her forehead. "It's alright now, your alright," he said quietly.
Sean turned to see a huge deep looking chasm in the ground and Aideen bringing Cyclops down. "Wow, now that's impressive," he muttered as he watched with wide eyes the spectacular display of power that Aideen showed as she burned the leaping demons and all the demons in the chasm. "Wow," Sean whispered before he looked over at Lorelai, who looked really beat. "Lorelai are you alright? Thanks for that, it was amazing," he said holding Kate tighter to his sid

Kevin took a pause from tossing his lightsculpted frisbies as he saw the mote of Cyclops creation filling with crispied up demon corpses. He looked at his friend Lorelai and saw her collsped on the ground next to him. He looked back to see what she had done. "Aww that's gross!" he said as he looked at the flash frozen Demon who had killed his friend and team mate Guardian. "Wish I'd have done that Frostbite. Thank you." he went over to her and hugged her. He felt her cold was all gone. "Oh god, you're not even cold at all." he said as he felt her fourhead.
"Hey! Can somebody help me here, please?" He said to Sean and Katie and Cyclops and Ember. "She's totally not cold at all!" Speaking softly to Loralei he said "C'mon get up, I'm taking you to that chunk of ice you just made. Gross as it looks you need to chill on that demon-cicle and re-charge I think." Then calling over his shoulder to D'mnchyld and TuneUp he pleaded "K'8 Sean help, please." They were closer and not on fire or looking to be in pain so Kevin didn't want to bother the Headmaster or Aideen. This was not a time for being soft, but Kevin was not a very imposing guy, he was a squirt but he cared enough to fill a dumptruck and it showed. He was gonna get her there, gross or not and even if he could hardly lift her up at all.

Slugging and pounding her way to no where in particular Emma realized that they had to do something more than just fight. They had to fight to survive sure, but there had to be a way out of this hell. They had to figure out how to get back home. To find everybody that was here and get back home.
'This is getting us nowhere. I can't keep this up forever, none of us can. Even Aideen who is in her glory here will eventually get too tired to keep going.' she thought. Emma considered her options as she kept punching, kicking and head-butting the demons around her. She knew she would have to transform back into her human form to search for the rest of the mutants that had surely come through the ripple into this dimension of Limbo. 'Gotta get someplace safe and search this realm for my friends and family. This is getting ridiculous!'
Emma Frost was certain of only two things right at this moment. First, that she would not leave anyone behind. Second that if she didn't find everyone quick there would be far fewer people to take home with her. The simple fact that Limbo would claim them all, one at a time before long, was a given.

"I have no idea Sean, but he looked strange. Like he was gonna kill me and then he froze. Right before he got frozen he just stopped and looked at me and he said-" D'mnchyld scratched her head as she tried to remember the sound he made. "It wasn't quite a word, more like a sound 'mss'...'mstr'...'msssttrrr', I don't know. He looked at me strange too, like he knew me, like he recognised me or something." K'8 shrugged her shoulders as Sean held her.
"Yes thank-" D'mnchyld was saying thanks as Hardlight made everyone realize Frostbite was truly in bad shape. "Oh sure I'll help. Sean, come on ." K'8 said as she moved to help Lorelai onto the chunk of ice she had formed.

Now that she stopped moving and was still did Frostbite feel the full effect of killing that demon. Her head hung down a bit and she still breathed heavily, feeling lightheaded and drained. She saw out of the corner of her eye that Hardlight ran over and hugged her, but she didn't feel she had the strength to return it. She tried to help him get her up, but her legs refused to work for her, and felt it slightly easier to get up as D'mnchyld came over to help to get her to the ice block. She knew right then that she wouldn't get enough cold back in to be the way she was before she killed the demon, which she was surprised about; she would probably only be able to take in enough so that she could walk at most. Other than that, she could do no more to help.
"Thanks," she whispered as she was helped up to her feet, and tried walking with them on dead legs to the ice block. She tried to help them put her on top of the block. When they finally did, she closed her eyes so she wouldn't see the horrid mess inside as she leaned her forehead to the cold ice and left her limbs the way they were when she got on top. The cold on her forehead was the best feeling now as she just let herself go limp there as she tried to take in what cold she could before the ice would inevitably melt. At least I saved someone, she thought to herself as she felt the cold slowly seep in.

"I'll survive." Scott said to Aideen about the burns. Looking to see what Ember had shot he nodded his head and surveyed his own handy work. "Nice shooting. We might be able to hold them off for a couple of minutes."
Turning to see the little man Hardlight, as he helped Frostbite, Scott smiled slightly. 'The human spirit never ceases to amaze me, look at him.' He thought Frostbite looked alright in green, it was a different look with her blue hair, but Paragon green wasn't bad on her he had to admit.
"I'm gonna check on the kids, keep an eye out for us would you." He said in his easygoing command voice. He had a tone of concern in his speech that shone through. He was concerned for all of the children and Emma too. "Let me know if you need help, alright?"
He said as he walked over to check on Frostbite and the rest.It wasn't just the physical he was worried about, he was concerned with their state of mind as well. "Hey children, how is everyone doing?" Cyclops asked as he walked up and knelt down to check on Frostbite's condition first.

Aideen looked down at Cyclops and the others and saw they were in good hands. Her fire lit eyes zeroed in on her Headmistress in the midst of the demon stampede. She didn't leave her on her own before and she didn't want to now. Without a word, Aideen flew up and over the chasm to where her Headmistress was fighting the demons around her. She flew to the back of the group and shot out two powerful fire beams at the back of them, urging a good portion of them into the fire she made in the chasm.
Though the heat fueled Aideen and gave her a good deal of extra energy, the warrior in her recognized when the fighting becomes endless with no results. She would fight till the death as she was trained to, her will was slowly starting to falter. Her robotic demeanor only helped her so far. Aideen wouldn't stop fighting till she repays Wolverine. She wouldn't be able to bear it if she found nothing more than a body. For now Aideen flew near her Headmistress and shot some demons away. "Headmistress, may I help you?" she called over to her as she blasted away a demon away from her.

Sean followed Kate to help her bring up Lorelai. "You did great Lorelai, come on now, you'll be alright," he said as he helped Kate and Kevin with her. That sure was real brave of her. Now she's spent too, and Guardian is gone. This place is slowly taking us all. I just hope we can get outta' here before it takes any more of us. Lorelai is spent, Cyclops is injured, I can't do too much to help anyone. Aideen and Ms. Emma are doing all they can, and both are real powerful. But they gotta run out of energy soon. I need to figure this device out so maybe we can figure out how to get out of here, but we never have enough time for me to sit down and look at the device. This is just looking worse and worse, he thought as helped Lorelai on the gross cold ice cube/demon.
"Alright Lorelai, you'll be alright don't worry," he reassured her. He looked up at Cyclops and squared his shoulders. "Sir, I know we need to keep moving, I ain't that strong but I can carry Lorelai if she needs it. I did a lot of farm work and lifting so I can carry her for a good while," Sean offered wanting to do what he could.

"Hey don't mention it" Kevin said to Frostbite. "You're my friend, I love you, can't stand there and not help." He put his hand on her shoulder and looked to k'8 and Sean with a smile. It was nice to see how they were together. Kinda sad for Hardlight in a way because he knew he'd probalby not meet anybody, at least not at school and that would mean he'd always be and extra, like a fifth wheel, and people get tired of that. For now though he was happy for them to be getting close. 'What a messed up first date though' he thought.
Cyclops drew his attention when he walked over. "Oh hello sir, we're doing the best we can, but this place is awlful." He started to get all misty eyed again when he said "Poor Guardian is dead, what happened? How could you let him get killed? What about us? I'm totally scared and -" he stopped freeking out when he saw how tornd up Cyclops was "-Oh but look at you. Are you gonna be ok?"

"Ember!" The Headmistress looked up as the firebender flew over to lend assistance. "Yes, let's get out of here quick." Emma waved her down to grab her out of the mass of surging and clinging demons. They were holding her down now, fast to recover from the fire blast and even as her incredible strength enabled the Diamond Queen to slug her way free again momentarily the horde was quick to grab her again.
With a shrug of her torso she hurled a few off of her and lept up to the young girl above. "We gotta regroup, lets get back over there." She pointed just before she reached Aideen. "I need to find the rest of our friends. We can't keep this up forever, and I can't be diamond and use my mental powers, so I need a safe refuge."

Thinking still about the look on the face of the blue flame demon as she knelt down and stared into the block of ice at the frozen gory thing entombed there, D'mnchyld placed a hand to the ice. "What were you trying to say?" She asked aloud, her thoughts spilling out like drops of her blood used to. "I think there's more going on here with me than I know about." She looked up at Sean and the rest and said "I've been getting the strangest feelings since I've been here, sorta like Deja'vu but not. More like a peaceful dream, well until things got intense, it was like this place wasn't so bad."
She knew they wouldn't understand and wished she could pull the words back the moment she said them. "I'm not talking about all the stuff that happened though guys, just about the place." she said standing. "It feels like...like... well, the only way to put it is this place feels like Grandma's house. Familiar, but not home. Homey, but not completely comfortable, but...well, like that for me. It's weird huh?"
She wanted to ask the thing in the ice what was going on and what he was trying to say, but she just knew she couldn't and it frustrated her. Made her annoyed to the point that she just hauled off and kicked the cube of ice. "This is freakin me out guys." She crouched down again and grabbed the ice block and looking straight into the dead frozen skull of the demon inside it and screamed at it "What were you trying to say to me!?! Huh? D'you know me! Well!!??! Do you?"
