Aideen eyes left the stage when Emma stopped in front of her. For a moment she felt a scolding coming on for getting so emotional during battle, but instead got a surprising pep talk. Emma's words washed over her in an odd sense. ~*Know me? From who? Oh Uncle was not very fond of Headmistress.~* The thoughts were more to herself than anyone else, though she knew that they were not totally private. Aideen's mind had been swirling as she struggled with herself and the weird emotions that were slowly slipping through that pretty little wall that she had built from a young age and just kept getting stronger as she grew older.
She was glad her heat was at a minimal since she would have felt bad if Emma had gotten burned being so close to her. Aideen's dark eyes swirled with so many emotions as Emma spoke to her so honestly and though she may not have been sure of it at that moment, she knew that those words were possibly the kindest words ever said to her. ~*I'm fine Headmistress. I'm a good warrior, and I won't let you down. You and the Headmaster have done more for me than I ever imagined. I'll always be grateful for that.~*
Aideen didn't dare think out loud about her intentions in this battle. She would do everything she could to pay back her debt to Wolverine. Even is she was terrified to face him, she'd make it right in her own way no matter what the cost. She'd also do everything she could to protect her Headmaster and Headmistress. They may be more experienced in battles than her, but that didn't mean they couldn't use a hand once in awhile.
When she heard Cyclops voice ring in her head, Aideen went right into warrior mode. Yes Sir. I'll stay under the radar.[/b][/i] Right then it was like someone flicked a switch on her body. Her warrior stance came back on and she relaxed her body enough to absorb as much heat as possible. Her body was like a sponge and she knew pretty soon she'd be hot enough to burn someone withn a five foot radius. The demons may not suspect anything since she looked fairly normal right now. Aideen's mind went through all the battle strategies and settled on a Blitz attack. Her mind calculated the strength and range of her fire power as she glanced at the confused demons around her with an emotionless gaze. And so Aideen waited, for the perfect time to let go.

Wasting no time Wolverine put his claws to good use... ...Hacking his way across the stage to get up alongside Kitty and Ian. "Yeah Sprite, I know. I smelled em comin' in. Emma Cyclops and some students. Smell of fear mixed with sweat on em though." Wolverine had some keen sense of smell and just like an animal trackin it's prey his nose had a memory. He could remember a person by their scent. He knew them all by smell, and the one that triggered his mind first was the smell on the girl he'd shared a beer with. The girl who he'd fought with Sabertooth for. The one he'd lost the fight for, giving her time to escape he'd made mistakes, made them on purpose. Only buy keeping Sabertooth engaged with him did she have a chance to get away, at least in the moment of truth that was his determination, and he would do it the same way again if he was forced to. There was something special about her, something Logan found in a person every now and again. 'The kid's got moxy' he might say if anyone ever asked him, but it went deeper than that. How deep he didn't know, and maybe he didn't want to or was afarid to find out. Not afraid in so much as a fear of heights or of commitment, but a fear of self. He didn't want to know if there was anything there, it wasn't right. 'Just a kid' he kept telling himself as the scent of her vanilla berried and smokey presence came closer he dared not look that way. He didn't want to give them away, or lose his edge. "Watch yer back boy!" Wolverine snapped out of his daze as a large horned demon minotaur charged at Diesel. Rushing at the youth her leapt up and placed a hand on the boy's head as he hurdled him and landed a deep stab into the creatures skull. His three adamantium claws of his left hand piercing the beast's head between it's horns and it's eyes and sinking in with a dull sound of- ~~~SSSSslluuukkk-THUD~~~ Satisfied that he was anchored nicely Logan took stab after stab at the foul entity with his free hand until it landed hard with a thud on the stage. With his foot on the bull like head of the beast he pulled out his claws with a slight twist to free them and looked around for his next target.

Sean glanced back briefly to see Aideen and Emma having what looked to be a private connection between the minds of some sort. He turned away and squeezed Kate's hand as Cyclops gave the instructions. Yes Sir, I'm trying to get it working as much as quick as I can. I just don't know what we're gonna need to activate it. I'll modify it the best that I'm able to sir, I promise, he said in his head as they continued walking past the smelly demons.
Sean looked at them trying not to show how nervous and scared he was. Not just for the demons sake, but for Kate's too. She must be nervous and scared as it was and didn't need to hear that he was too. Sean held the device in his free hand and concentrated on it, but not before squeezing Kate's hand and giving her a reassuring smile. Don't you worry Katie girl, you'll be just fine. Do what you've been doing and we'll be good. he thought in the most reassuring voice he could think of. He wanted to believe it as much as he wanted her to.

It's only practice, It's only practice, oh god I never did a practice...not really she was thinking about how she should have been a better student, listened more and maybe been a little less of a bitch to everybody now that her life was in their hands. She had Hardlight's sword but it wouldn't be too good for anything more than a prop in her hands, she had no idea how to use a sword. Here we go guys
Squeezing tight onto Sean's hand K'8 raised the glowing sword high above her head. Looking at him for a moment and tracing the image of his face in her mind, just incase they didn't make it out alive. Closing her eyes tightly for a second she turned her head to the crowd fighting for the stage and screamed out "ENOUGH! I HAVE SEEN ENOUGH!"
Opening her eyes, half expecting to be pounced upon she was shocked to see how the demons reacted. Those nearest her suddenly froze and began looking around at one another, separating and making a path for her and her friends. The ones on the stage and out of earshot continued their push to the stage, but Belasco himself seemed to take notice, it looked as if he folded his arms and was grinning.
She took the sword and whipped it around and through the air as if to indicate she was coming through, she made it grand and flourish and less of an attack as an announcement for all to see. Pulling TuneUp by his hand she rushed forward, not exactly sure how long the demon's pause would last but not wanting to waste it at all, not a single second of the advantage. However, she rushed a bit quickly and TuneUp and she became separated from the rest of the Mutants. It was not intentional, but after a moment of claustrophobia she realized they had become separated and looking back saw the rest were tightly surrounded.
Oh My GOD guys, oh shit I'm sorry, oh god -oh hell she thought seeing the looks on the demons faces as they seemed to want to sink tooth and fang to bone. This is bad! It's not working!! Oh crap!!! Gotta get on stage get their attention better! Sean help! she thought frantically.

Wolverine had hurdled Ian right at another demon, that he knocked down like a bowling pin. "Thanks man, good looking out," Ian called as he punched his fist through the scaly stomach of the demon, reaching in and ripping out its organs as his fist was covered in demon guts. He was getting more and more wary as to how this was all gonna play out. Man what the hell is that guy waiting for? he thought looking up at Belasco. He wasn't watching the battle anymore though and was looking out into the crowd.
Ian followed his eyes as he threw another demon off the stage and his eyes bugged out. "Holy shit that's Sean and Goth chick!" he exclaimed. His eyes followed behind them and he the first thing he noticed was a tuft of blue hair that could only belong to one person. "Pipsqueak?! Lorelai no babe you can't be here," he said as he rushed back to Kitty and punched a this slimy looking demon that was behind her. "Kitty Teach they're here! They're surrounded by these god damn hell rats. That's my god damn girlfriend!" Ian seethed, trying not to give into the temptation to barrel into the crowd of demons toward her. He picked up another demon that rushed at Wolverine and hurdled far off the stage and into the crowd.
"That's Teach and Emma and Spitfire too!" he exclaimed as his eyes moved from his girl to the girl that he got to this point for. "God damnit, not they're all separated from each other. Lorelai looks fried and Spitfire hasn't changed at all. This can't be good. Damnit!"Ian growled out as he grabbed a smaller demon and ripped its head off with a grunt. It was at the point where he had become passive to the demons he was killing. Normally it would have bugged him to kill anything, but he just didn't have the energy or the sympathy.
With another grunt he looked up at Belasco and swung another demon off the stage by its foot, but not before it clawed at his chest. The deeper wounds had healed surprisingly fast, but he wasn't gonna let the remaining ones stop him. Ian looked back at Wolverine with a pointed and slightly desperate look. "You need to make Spitfire right again. She's got lost in herself when we all thought you were a goner and you gotta to bring her back," he said with a grunt as he pushed off a demon that jumped on him off and hurled it at another one.
Ian looked at Lorelai again and only by sheer will did he not jump from the stage and barrel to the demons to her. He was ready to at any given second to do whatever it took to save his girl and his friends.

Lorelai's eyes had long ago moved from the ground to the stage where Ian was; she couldn't tear them away, and when Cyclops whispered to her she only nodded a little. She looked away only to see D'mnchyld and Sean go ahead of them, and then saw that the group she was in was now surrounded. Fear mixed in with the swirl of everything else she was feeling, and she looked back up to the stage to Ian where she caught his gaze. She sharply inhaled again and whimpered, still trying to resist the strong urge to call out to him and settled for unloading complete word vomit mentally while she watched him fight. Ohmygodhe'sseenusweneedtogettherepleasepleaseohgodIwannagetouttaherekillthemallorsomethingAAAAAHHHHHHH she babbled, wanting so badly to try and run and get to him though she knew well her legs wouldn't work for her still, and she wasn't sure if it was her but it felt a lot hotter here. She tore her eyes away from the stage and buried her face in Cyclops' shoulder, letting out a muffled growl.

Yow this is getting too fierce Kevin thought. I don't know about this, ummmm he looked around at all the big demons licking their lips and started trying to decide what to do to protect himself. He felt like how he felt when he was at the gay pride rally that one time. Too many predators. Too big it was disturbing.
Hearing Cyclops thoughts he took a deep breath and then things got worse. Then the demons seemed to close in around them all. What's going on!?! Wasn't k'8 suppost to maek this easier for us? Panik struck him and he couldn't help but call out "KATE!" if he wasn't totally dehydrated he would have pissed himself out of fear.

GGGgrrrrr!! "That bitch!" Haven screamed as she felt herself upended from the stage and toppled into the mass of demons. She was crowd surfing inside of her forcefield and the way she was headed was not closer to the stage at all.
"Hey you jerks send me back THAT WAY!" she thrust an arm out pointing back at the stage and spent another moment screaming obscenities at Kitty. Thinking that nasty whore thinks she's so tough, I swear to you Belasco I will make her pay. I'll bleed her dry. I'll make a belt from her skin and braid her hair for my bootlaces!
After another long minute of aimlessly drifting across the top of the mass of demons like a once human beachball Haven had had enough. "BELASCO!!! Tell these brainless thugs to knock off the games and send me back to the stage!" she yelled out to the Lord of Limbo who hovered above her. He looked to be staring with a grin on his face at another part of the courtyard below him.
Spinning inside of her forcefield, craning her neck as best she could to get a look at what was so amusing she saw more of the student body....AND...EMBER. Her mind returned to her for the briefest of a flash and she saw herself almost from an outside perspective, but no more like she was a passenger inside her own body, with little control. Then just as suddenly as the moment was upon her it had vanished.

Shadowkat fended off a couple midget demons after she kicked Haven off the stage; they flew off with a kick of her foot. "What?" she asked, slightly confused at Diesel's exclamation of seeing two of her students. Her eyes widened to actually see both D'mnchyld and TuneUp in the middle of everything, very close to the stage. Quickly, she ran to the edge and pulled them up. "Are you two alright?" she asked, looking them both over. When she heard Diesel go on, she looked at him sympathetically, and looked over to the far end where a group of demons had surrounded the other group of her fellow mutants. She turned slightly when he charged a demon that had come behind her, and then looked to her students.
"Get behind me you two, the demons keep coming," she said, glancing at the crowd where Haven was riding it and yelling to get back to the stage. A couple of demons ran up the stage and at them, and Shadowkat moved the two behind her, and sprang back into action, staving the demons off by punching them in their stomachs, sweeping out her feet to trip them and kicking them into the air back over the crowd of demons they came from.

" Mein Gott liebshen! Your eyes!" Kurt was startled to discover the gory scene before him. So focused he had been, it must have been the reason, on her bleeding torso- that he didn't notice until JUST NOW that she had had her eyes gnawed from their sockets. He wondered if her pain was severe or if shock was keeping her mercifully unaware of the pain. "Oh child, ve must get you away from zhis hell immediately. I fear for you now, hold tight to the sound of my voice girl. I will not leave your side!" But alas this was a lie. No sooner had he said the words than a flying taloned demon swooped down on him cleaving a slash across and through his shoulder nearly chopping his arm free of his body. "AAAKKKK!" he screamed as the force of the vicious blow sent him flying from the top of the sand stone pillar and into the midsts of the crowd of demons below. The poor girl was alone now. Alone and blind and in hell. She was fast approaching deaths door as her lifeblood was flowing from her and as her soul was already beyond heaven's grasp there was little hope for her escape. ..................................................................ever......................................................

Mercy had not shown her tender graces to poor Sara. While she was in plenty of shock her pain was not dulled by it. Instead her whole body wrenched with pain, screaming from every muscle. Her torso felt like it was on fire as fearsome teeth had not only ripped out huge chunks but filthy claws had filled her wounds with dirt, grime, and poison. The pain from her torso was only slight when compared to the horrendous pain from her eyes, as her optic nerve had been twisted and sliced by the horrid claws and fangs of the demon horde.
So intent had they been on blinding her and putting an end to her magical power that in their ferocious fury they had missed the target, tearing out her eyes but leaving her tear ducts undamaged. Thus, her fresh tears continued to mix with her blood and pour down her face. She could smell her blood, the bile and guts of the demons Wolverine had slain to save her, and Nightcrawler's sweat which had clung to her after he transported her to relative safety.
Now as she heard her savior's voice, a strange voice with which she was not familiar, having never met the teacher until now in Limbo, she could barely follow it, as her pain was so great that it isolated her from the hell around her, making her too delirious to think straight. Yet somehow through the gloom she heard him say that he would not leave her and would stay by her side. She also heard him confirm that her eyes were gone, making real the fear that had welled up inside her with the pain. Terrified and still having some small semblance of sense left in her she did not cry out...not quite yet. But when with a terrible screeching and a flap of hellish wings that swept her with a hot, arid wind the teacher was snatched away from her just as she reached out to him, and when she heard his cry of surprise and pain hurtling far away, the foolish girl despaired and let pass through her lips the beginning of a scream, which would have alerted the hellish host to the fact that she was still alive and to her location had her vocal chords not been so fatigued from her ordeal that the resulting noise was barely audible.
At this point the following conversation raged in her head. Oh, my G-d. He's gone. He's gone and I'm blind and nobody will help me and I'm going to bleed to death. Why am I such a worthless piece of shit. I can't ever do anything right. It's all my fault. If I wasn't so bloody stupid I would have managed to do things right and wouldn't be dying. I should have run away from the school. No, that wouldn't help. People wanted to kill me before. Well, I shouldn't have made Amos. Instead I should have stayed close to Shadowkat and learned to fight. She was going to teach me martial arts. Had I learned I might be OK now....
Then she responded to her internal diatribe. No, you wouldn't Sara. A little martial arts would not fight off these demons. Sure, you did some stupid shit, but then you did some good things too. You saved the teachers didn't you...Well not really, another voice in her head responded. They won't get out of here. You just made more sport for the demons.
Finally, a last voice won out, Look, if you want to live you have to stop feeling sorry for yourself and act. Now rip up what's left of your clothes and staunch the bleeding. Then listen, really listen, and try to find a teacher or a fellow student or somebody to stay close to. You can do this!
Having made up her mind, she ran her hands up and down her body feeling her wounds and what was left of her clothes. Slowly she tore off the last strips of her shirt so that her chest and upper body were completely bare except for her tattered bra. She then tore the shirt into strips. Then she felt her upper body over again reaching out to the places where she felt pain. As she ran her hand against her lower back she found an awful, gaping wound. Taking a strip of her shirt she plastered it over the wound. Then she took another strip and another, until the wound was covered. Then she took off the tattered remains of her skirt. She ripped the bottom of the skirt off leaving the waistline. She ripped the waistline and then wrapped it around her now naked torso, up a little bit higher than it would normally be so it rode over her lower back. Then she tied it off there so it pressed down on the strips and made them adhere to her back wound, putting pressure on them so the strips could staunch the bleeding.
She then ripped the rest of the skirt into strips and piece by piece using the strips of her shirt and skirt covered each of her wounds. By the time she was done she looked like some sort of bizarre rag doll, with strips of different colored cloth soaked in blood tied on her arms and legs, over parts of her torso and her thighs, and a another trip wrapped around her head covering her eyes.
However, she did not have time to think about her appearance or worry about how inappropriate it was to be out in public wearing only her underclothes. She had to find a safe place to hide. Crawling on her hands and knees she felt along the ground and tried to listen, hoping to find a place where she did not hear the crush of demons; a place off to the side where there was a rock, a teacher, or a friend with whom or behind whom she could hide.

Feeling better about the state of affairs if for the briefest of moments Emma's elevated mood was dashed and shattered a moment later by what happened next. As she had turned around to see the group of students and her Scott moving away from she and Ember the flash of the samurai sword of light caught her eye.
Wanting to rush forward she found her way blocked as demons pushed in around her and Ember. The dynamic of the situation was changing, D'mnchyld was losing control of the demons around them. Or possibly by the girl's very actions and behavior she might have incited them to act as they were acting now.
Emma couldn't do much as she was but she used her telepathic powers to link everyone there for another brief moment. Letting all of the X-Men and students of the academy know what she had in mind. ~* Wolverine, Kitty, Kurt, Diesel, Elixir- we are here now and we intend to get everyone out of here as quickly as possible. TuneUp has a device that will open a portal to home....we hope...so stay ready for that opportunity for our escape. I'll keep our minds all linked for as long as I can to allow for us to convey some ideas, but I fear I must use my diamond form any second now. Scott if you have any last thoughts for the group now is the time. *~
She held the telepathic link open for all of them for about a half a minute more before the moment was upon them. All hell was about to break loose when she spoke to everyone's mind breaking off all the chatter and cross talk ~* I have to end this now. I'm sorry, everyone stay on your guard and we will make it out of here *~ Then just before a huge crusty fanged demon struck a mighty blow on her she transformed in a flash of light to her diamond form.
Just in the nick of time, as the blow landed. Had she not changed form it would have surely caved in her skull as it drove her bodily into the ground. As the case was however, her being in diamond form only saved her from being killed outright and mutilated. It did not, regrettably, prevent her from being spiked into the ground like a beautiful crystalline tent stake.
As the demon lifted it's hand expecting a bloody puddle beneath it Emma turned her head upward and said "Naughty, naughty. Hasn't anyone ever taught you how to treat a lady !!!?" Seeing the flourishing melee behind the creature she saw flashes of ruby blasting through the horde of demons and knew that things were not at all going well for the rest. Her man and her kids were painfully far from her protection at the moment, but she trusted her fellow X-Men and her students to watch each other's backs, and knew in her heart that their ace would be doing what she did best.

Things were starting to come unraveled. He saw that D'mnchyld and TuneUp had moved off and were mounting the stage with the help of Shadowkat. Thanks Kitty he thought to her as Emma had opened everyones minds to pathways of communications that he had known before many times. Professor Xavier used to do the same for the original group of X-Men, the first class of the Xavier Institute as it had been known back then. Himself, Beast, Iceman, Angel, and Jean Got it Emma! he acknowledged the little bit of time was there for them all to share what thoughts they might have with one another before the end was upon them. This would be the most hideous and frightening event of all of their lives he was sure, but he couldn't let on that he knew that. TuneUp he ordered from the ground below the stage, get that portal open as soon as you can we are going to get out of here. Everyone else change of plans! We make for the stage and the portal that should be there in moments. He could see the throng of demons closing in about them and wanted to make sure that everyone else was ready Children, X-Men these creatures are coming for us we have to move! NOW! Kurt, Logan it's good to s---- that was when the connection went dead. Cut off he looked to see if Emma was alive. He could not tell for where he stood....his heart for a moment sank, and then filled with the fire of responsibility for the rest of his family he sprang into action. "Hold on tight Frostbite!!!" he yelled as the screams of a thousand demons split the air and they charged the mutants. The demons closed in on them.... surrounding them. His optic blasts were a thing of beauty and a thing of devistation. the demons however, kept right on coming. There were more than he could possibly shoot even if he had an endless reserve of power. In his current condition, wounded and dehydrated as he was with close to a hundred pounds of near dead weight on his back there was little hope of him keeping this pace for long, they would need to get home soon Then suddenly....the weight on his back...was gone.....! Looking back he saw Lorelai being pulled from his back and dragged under a swarm of demons. With renewed purpose he aimed, but was struck hard from behind. "Frostbite!!! NOOOOoooooooooo[/i]....!" [/size]

A cold smirk came on Aideen's face, though she knew the situation was quite serious when D'mnchyld and TuneUP separated from them. Cyclops, Frostbite, get as far away from me as you can. It's about to get hotter. Watch your- Her thought were cut off and on that note, Aideen's body erupted in fire as if someone threw a match on pieces of paper soaked in gasoline. She rose up in the air fluidly and gracefully, as a healthy layer of fire framed her body. Demons looked up at her with shock and confusion, obviously she was an unexpected and not to welcome of a surprise. Aideen stared at them with coldly as her eyes erupted in fire much like her body had. She had gotten used to handling this much heat and her body had adapted quickly just as her training dictated. Aideen flew towards the center of the stage, glancing down to see Haven 'crowd surfing' the demons. Something about her wasn't right, but Aideen didn't have the time to dwell on it. Good thing you got that shield girl. You're gonna need it. With that thought, deadly sharp fire knives flew out of her chest and arms as she spread them out to rain on the crowd, hearing the screams and cries from under her. The cold smirk never left her face. That's when Aideen noticed she was no longer alone this high in the air. Well well, looks like the flying demons have come out to play. A group of winged demons came from behind the devil she knew must be Belasco and headed for her and coming lower to the stage, closer than she would have liked to the people up there. Two long fire swords formed in her hands as Aideen gripped the familiar shape with her heart racing. Without a second thought and her swords raised, Aideen charged at the group of winged creatures.

This isn't gonna end pretty he thought. The man known to the X-men by the codename of Wolverine had seen his fair share of demons, both internal and external. He knew that there was little hope in fighting them. Most times the best anyone could do was to just keep them at bay....and learn to live with them. But these demons were far from figurative, these were the stuff of nightmares, and he was one of the few who would be standing when it was all over. For he was more than a man, more powerful than most and more frightening than a demon as well. He was a reluctant hero to be sure, and a darker soul than some of these dark beasts even. They knew it, they could smell it on him, just as he could smell the fear on them. One of a handful of people known to scare a demon....our very own Wolverine. Quit yer yammerin and fight! he said back to Scott's hello as the mental link went away for him as well. "Now it's time to show these kids what it means to fight for your life." he grumbled to himself as he looked to the edge of the stage and saw more of the foul horde climbing up. He rushed over stabbing and slicing with his adamantium claws, making sure there was a secure spot for the newest mutant arrivals to the stage to do whatever they were doing to get them all home. "Hey misseltoe hat, why dontcha try helpin out a little." he said sarcastically he had watched the young man take on his share of the creatures and seen how strong he was. "Nice right cross yer packin there. Colossus teach ya that?" he asked calling back over his shoulder. He didn't like mixing conversation with combat as a general rule of thumb... but this was LIMBO, and as far as he knew the kid might need a little bit o' the old talky talky. "Yeah? She ain't right huh?" He said shoving another off of the stage with his shoulder. "We are talking about the same tough, hard-ass fire girl, right? Well what am I s'posta do about that? Isn't she your little friend?" In the heat of battle some things went un-noticed, but not the taking to the air of the girl who the two mutants had just been speaking about. "Her right there?" he pointed "Looks to me like she's doin alright, but if things get a little dicey for her up there I'll lend a hand. And yer gonna help me kid....It's a little trick called a FASTBALL SPECIAL... and I'll teach ya how it works." He looked skyward to check on his drinking buddy and then looked back to Diesel and said "Listen up..." as he began to explain the maneuver that he and Colossus had used many times with much success.
