Hank looked up from the notes on his research regarding the newest development on the psychosis in mutants effecting their mutative abilities to watch the that light bounce off Emma's diamond form, making it into a mirage of colors when he looked at just the right angle. "Yes it is quite mesmerizing, rather spectacular play of colors," he agreed and then let out a sigh. "It will take far more than your lovely diamond form to erase all the daily troubles in this institute I'm afraid," Hank added with a great sigh as he looked around the empty lab which was pleasant for him after the day he had. "You know Emma, this is perhaps the quietest the lab has been all day. The incident with Rumble and the Corsairs made my morning full and eventful I will say leaving the rest of the time for Scott and I to chat. The afternoon I not only had Rumble again, but also had Puppy~Love come in so I may clean her wounds and a very battered Chupacabra walked in that I had to tend to as well. I often wonder how the students did not all kill each other at this point," Hank said with a shake of his head as he handed Emma a freshly filled glass of white wine, as the former White Queen generally preferred. "It's rather undignified I must say that Rumble has become one of my most popular patients," he said with a sidelong glance at his dear friend when speaking in regards to her favorite student's dangerous obsessive habits as of the past two months.

"MMmmm...thank you." Emma said as she took the glass of wine gently and delicately with diamond hard fingertips. Taking a sip, allowing the inside of her mouth to revert to flesh to fully enjoy the flavor, she rolled the dry, fruity liquid around on her tongue and smiled gently. "Nice choice. Accessible, charming and crisp..." swirling the glass around slightly she held it up to look at the wine and noted the tracks of liquid that clung to the sides of her glass "...supple legs. Not bad for Nappa Valley Doctor, and how coy McCoy to pour a California White, did you think I wouldn't notice?" He knew how fond she was of French wine, but had put forth a suggestion for her to explore things outside of her established comfort zones. A novel idea.
"But all talk of wine aside Henry, I know how busy you have been lately. The students have been having some adjustment issues and I wont mince words on the subject some of them are just plain asking for trouble. I'm of a mind to let them tear each other apart, but this being a school first and foremost that cannot be the order of the day." She placed th glass of wine down and readjusted herself on her seat crossing her legs the other way.
"I have had a long relationship with Brock, with all of the Hellions as you know, and yet I don't know if there is any change he might be capable of." She watched him at work, he was an impressive multi-tasker. She had walked in on him in the middle of several tests at once while writing notes with a pencil in one hand as well as one foot, one eye in a microscope while the other watched a flow of information scroll down a computer monitor. She knew he had supreme focus, yet she could at that moment only wonder how he managed to do it and remain so relaxed.
"Short of going into his mind myself, and believe me I have considered doing that to several of the student, but you know I am 'trying new things'. There was a time when I wouldn't have cared, and yet here I find myself allowing for things and loosening up, even drinking wine from California. I have made a change in the teams as I'm sure you heard so hopefully some of the tensions on the Paragons and the Acolytes as well will dissipate, I just hope Rumble can learn to adapt soon, or I will have to step in on some level and I do not want to do that." she had done her fair share of altering people's minds and to little positive result. Sure there were always successes but the price paid by losing the original personality was, in her newly acquired world view, unacceptable.
"I'd like for all of our kids to be able to work things out without me diving into their minds for adjustments. Once I start that when does it end? I don't think a temporary adjustment is going too far, as you well know, but to completely erase the true personality is a bit criminal. There is no greater crime than to rob someone of them self, and I have after all turned over a new leaf." she smiled, her scintillatingly sparkling teeth catching the light from his monitor screens and glinting brilliantly.

"That you have Emma, but of course it is understandable when ideals of the past come to cloud better judgment. I must say that upon our first meeting what is it now almost a decade ago? Well either way I could never imagined that I would find in the White Queen of the Hellfire Club a comrade to laugh at my jokes and know every line of Byron by heart," Hank said taking a sip of his own glass of wine. He did indeed convince Emma in many retrospects the delights in partaking in the expansion of cultures and ideals, the wine from Nappa Valley being only a small step. It took him a good deal of time to convince her some of the less known works of Rousseau and Voltaire, since evidently Emma felt both of them were fools in comparison to Hobbes, though she eventually gave in and delighted in comparing them with the Hobbes work that both Emma and Hank were quite fond of as well.
Hank set his the analysis notes on the table and picked up the stack of medical records of all the students that came in that day. "This pile has been growing bigger and bigger as of late, and it is rather unfortunate. I do not remember being anywhere near as troublesome at a young age as the students are now. I do however agree that altering their young minds will do more harm than good. Life lessons will alter their minds enough for the sake," he added and sorted through the records. He chuckled to himself slightly at the fact that one record that he had almost gotten used to was now missing. It seemed Aideen had been convinced that she was free of any health problems.
"On a brighter note however, we do have students that have certainly come a long way. Riker certainly has come a long way since the boy that I had to bring to your office all those months ago. So has his sister for that matter, though she still retains her primitive side. Niki also came quite a long way since she came here. She was in here the other day, helping me organize the medical archives of past cases. She really is a delight once in a relaxed setting and she absorbs information quite a bit. Keeping her with Aideen and bringing her back on the Acolytes really was clever on your part Emma. Aideen for that matter also came a long way since Scott took her on the Corsairs. She's still rather reserved and distant from her team, but does get on well with them. I did tell you how she came to see me several of those times, and she just stopped last week. I always have her file near just in case," Hank said winking at Emma. Though he was by all means not making fun of the girl, it was amusing to have the confused girl come in and think that her health was in jeopardy. He told Emma of the appointments in private, as well as sharing his theory of the source of the symptoms and who caused them. Though Emma would rarely say a word against her Hellions, Hank stood by the notion that Aideen could share her affections with someone better than Stoney. It was at least a start for her emotional development.
Hank refilled his glass of wine and also refilled Emma's nearly empty glass. "Of course many still have a long way to go. I believe Katana is in need for an attitude adjustment. I do not know how that will fair on the Acolytes but I suppose that I will hear all about it tomorrow from Niki. As nicely as Gavin has assimilated into our little family, it seems Chupacabra is having far more trouble. Then again I do suppose that everyone finds their place and themselves in their own way. Shimmer has a bit of developing to do as well, she is far too closed off and mistrusting for someone that young, but as a mutant in a broken home I can imagine that it was her only method of protecting herself. Only time will tell with those though," he said while attending to his data on the computer.

"Yes, I'll agree that some have come quite a long way, and others have quite a long way yet to come...but you and I both know there is no substitute for life's own lessons so as I had already decided I will not tamper in their weird little brains." she grinned at him "Kids today, huh? Oh I must be getting old Henry... I never thought I would ever utter those words." she giggled at the joke.
Transforming back to her flesh and bone gorgeous soft self she felt a noticeable chill in the lab and slipped on her white jacket. "And besides there is always the chance that- eh!?! Oh don't look now Doctor, but I believe you have a returning patient....and some friends." She tapped him gently on his shoulder just in case he hadn't heard her being deep into a file he was intent on finishing, and nodded at the entrance.
"Welcome children, was Walker that rough an episode this evening?" she knew how the boys and some of the girls as well loved to wrestle around after an engaging evening of television. "Or did you change channels to wrestling for inspiration?" Shimmer rushed in first the look on her face not boding well, and a step behind her was the rest of them. Chupacabra was not looking well and she had spoken before they entered not reading deeply into anyone's mind, but only sensing the presence of the approaching children. "Oh dear." She placed her drink down and waved Diesel over to an examining table, directing him where to set Alex down.

Rushing first through the medical door while the other students followed - Diesel proving once again that the weight of a student was nothing compared to his gift. Her face was her normal picture of worry whenever another student was injured, looking back every few seconds to make sure they where still all in one piece for now she turned to see the Doctor and Headmistress looking as she entered. "Um ... I don't know what happened but Chupaca... Chupa ... Alex doesn't look right. Katana said he just kinda collapsed ... well she doesn't know either but Diesel had to like carry him here and that's not good and I said i'd come let you know Doctor McCoy ..."
Turning back again, Shimmer watched as Diesel took Chupacabra toward the examination table and sagged her shoulders in relief. At least she had done something to help. It wasn't often she got the chance to do anything good for other students, she was not often any use to the others as she was so small, scared and weak. Whenever a chance came around that she would be of any help Torri was most definitely ready to take up the action and lend a hand. In a way she felt it made up for her lack of strength during team practices or danger room sessions. Oh how she hated that danger room.
Now though, that her job had been completed and she was of no use anymore the tiny teen felt a little bit upset she could have done nothing more to help. It may not be anything as greatly horrific as she had heard from others in terms of missions or life experiences; but having gone through such trauma as a child and indeed physical abuse it was a part of her that refused to see others suffering when there was any chance that she could help. Now was one of those moments. 'Jings' she thought.

Ian walked in looking less than happy, but he had to smile when he saw Emma Frost with Beast. He liked her and not just for her amazing rack, but she was a cool lady. After going through Limbo and all, he held an immense amount of respect for the teachers and people that went through it. In fact, in general he felt closer to those people on a different level than he did with others. Not to say he didn't have best buds outside the Limbo crew. Him and Gavin were tight as ever cause the dude was awesome and Ian loved how Gavin was with Haven, accepting her and not judging her based on her past and really allowing her to get a new start.
Ian not so gently flopped Chupacabra on the examining table, making a bottle of pills of some sort fall out of his pocket and roll on the floor. "Na Ms. Frost, I didn't rough anyone up this time. I'm just here playing package boy for the dude," he said with a crooked grin. "I ain't staying long, just till ya'll say it's cool for me to leave and all," Ian added and leaned against the wall with his arms crossed. He tried not to roll his eyes at the dude on the table looking out of it. "Heh, Katana dragged him into the rec room looking like that. I gotta tell ya'll when that happened I remembered Jumpdick- errr Jumper at the Christmas party. Stuff like this happens whenever everyone's chillin' together," he said a bit sheepishly at the slip of the tongue. Then again it was no secret that Ian harbored a strong dislike for the guy.

"Alright, thank you children." Emma said as trailing behind the young strongman were Katana and Aqua. She nodded at them each and at the sound of the pill bottle dropping and rolling on the floor looked to little Torri. "Shimmer? What was that? Would you hand it to me please?" she saw the now tiny shapeshifter bend down to retrieve a bottle of pills. Taking them from her outstretched hand Emma smiled at her "Thank you dear."
Looking to Dr.McCoy as he approached the table and the injured Chupacabra she questioned him "Hmm Beast did you send this boy out with a bottle of prescription pills?" Glancing up from the label the look on Hank's face was not one of guilt but more an expression of exasperation at the latest of today's series of 'Clockwork Trouble'. "Of course you wouldn't have done that." She waved her hand in the air slightly as if to dismiss the very thought of it.
"Possibly the boy was mistaken seeing as he does have a head injury." she excused the behavior this one time and made certain the rest of them knew the rules with regard to drugs in the school. "These are not to leave the lab, children. Make no mistake about it if myself or any of the other teachers find you with contraband narcotics you will be expelled, and sent to the juvenile detainment facility at THE VAULT!" her eyes went wider as she stared sideways at them.
"Yes, the juvenile facility there is still in operation, so no messing around." she made eye contact with each of them in turn to insure they had heard her. "Until you are legal adults we cannot permit you to have these controlled substances on your person at any times, and never anything illegal no matter how old you are. When prescribed, you will need to come down to the med-lab for your medication. Is that clear?" by the looks on their faces at the mention of The Vault, the urban legends surrounding the superhuman prison put a new spin on the concept of cruel and unusual treatment, she knew they'd heard her massage loud and clear.
The Maximum Security Installation For The Incarceration Of Superhuman Criminals in Colorado had been the source of some controversy several years before and as far as the general populace knew it had been shut down and re-opened numerous times. Some of the worst and most powerful criminals had spent time there and anyone who had been there would get a glazed over look in their eyes when telling the tales from within. In recent years however it had gone un-noticed due to more pressing concerns and whether Emma was speaking the truth about the Juvenile Block of the prison or simply bluffing to give her kids something of an empty threat was not for certain.
"Now lets all clear out of here and let Beast minister to his patient." she shooed them all toward the door and placed the pills down on the counter. Once in the hall she said "As for poor Kyle, he is still home recovering..." she started to walk them to the elevator to take them upstairs, her glass of wine would have to go unattended until her return "..and putting personal feelings aside I would hope you would all wish him a speedy recovery. We may yet see him back at the school, but until then a new arrival will have to suffice. Tomorrow a new girl is arriving..."
Boarding the elevator with the students to see what mess was made of her gorgeous leather furniture and the rugs in the Recreation Room Emma told of the girl who would be arriving and without going into personal detail let them know to help her feel welcome. Stepping out of the elevator into the foyer she readied herself for what mess she would find and was already counting backward from fifty to control her blood pressure. In this place the trouble never ended, but getting upset about it was not going to fix things....at least that was what she told herself until she rounded the corner and stepped into the TV room. The look of shock and disgust on her face was indescribable
