Lorelai was still chuckling to herself even after class was dismissed, and she couldn't help shaking her head at everything. Though she was sort of tempted to find someone she figured probably didn't like her anymore -pretty much any Acolyte- and bug them by just being around or something, she felt like chilling out by herself and reading a book. Since it sounded like a good idea, she took her iPod out of her pocket where it normally resided and tuned the school out as she headed to the library.
She already had a book in mind while she walked, and couldn't get why she didn't have it to begin with when she liked it so much, but it didn't matter really. She was going to read it anyway, so who cared? Skimming the aisles of books she looked for the author's name on the endcaps until she found the right one. Here we go...B for Brown. Funny how the layout is here, but as long as I get to read my book. She traced a finger along the spins of the books until she found the group of books by Dan Brown. I'm in the mood for some Angels & Demons.. sorta funny that it seems my opinion of who angels and demons are is now reversed. Works for me.
There were a couple copies of Angels & Demons right where they should be and she snagged one and headed to the sitting area. Lorelai plopped into one of the comfy chairs and propped her feet up on a coffee table in front of her, opening the book and seeing the title of the book as an ambigram. Just for kicks she turned the book upside down and back again to see how it looked the same each way, saying in a fancy but sort of loopy way 'Angels & Demons'. It stays the same even if you turn it around turvy topsy. I'm glad it doesn't work like that here. I'd get nowhere, honestly. Sure there are repercussions for what I'm doing but shit happens and I can't let that bother me or anything. So whatever, let's get started, she thought and turned to the first chapter, nodding her head to Breaking Benjamin blasting in her ears and mouthing the lyrics as she started reading.

"What's that buzzin' in your ears Lorelai? ... Hey ... can you hear?" Hemlock said in a sort of panto style of putting his hand to his mouth. Having seen his new team mate slink into the library made him want to talk, the girl hung with the kind of men he could only dream on.
Walking up behind her in the chair he gently pulled out one of her ear buds and leaned his head down to her shoulder. "Hiding frosty? Not like you now is it?" Kris said with a half hearted chuckle, walking into the library styling his newest and darkest pair of skinny jeans. Boy did he love American schools, sure; the combat stuff had uniforms but through the day he was free to wear whatever he damn well wanted. At this minute he had decided that wearing his dark skinnies, bright fluorescent yellow high tops and a custom top he got online was just fine. Who cared whether what he advertised was acceptable? From what he had seen over the past couple of months things didn't really get too uptight for no reason.
"Where's that hot piece of ass you hang with now Frostie? What's up with not introducing him to your team? I'm deprived over here. And he has one fiiine body he has I must agree." He said again, smirking at all the times he had seen Rumble walking around. Make that strutting. Damn he was sexy. "How come you got so lucky eh?" He said with another half laugh as he walked around the side of her chair and jumped onto one nearby, both legs on the seat; crossed in a sort of peter pan fashion.

Absorbed into the book quickly, the melody of her music seemed to oddly match the events that she was reading about. For a second Lorelai thought she heard someone talking albeit quite muffled, but paid it no mind in case she was just imagining things. Only she hadn't, she realized as one earbud was pulled from her ear. Her head turned in that direction to see that it was Kris who had come up and said something to her. "Eh? Sorry, was tuned out," she said, one hand going to her iPod to pause the music while the other laid the book down over her leg to keep the page.
Lorelai smirked and let out a small scoffing laugh. "Me hiding? Why would I do that?" she asked, slightly amused at the thought of hiding. She had no reason to hide, cause why would she? If someone had something to say to her they could say it and that was it. "I felt in the mood for a book I couldn't bring with me here cause I don't have it. Coincidentally books live in the library, so here I am," she answered, still smirking.
At what Kris just had to bring up next, Lorelai's smirk grew more pronounced as she started laughing. "Probably getting stitched up or something like that. If you haven't heard yet -and I'd be surprised if you haven't- he got thrown out the window by Wolverine. Pushed things just far enough for Wolverine to lose it. So, he's got all these new injuries and I'm probably shirking my duties as his 'personal nurse' by being here," she said, still laughing as she did air quotes. "And," she laughed, "I don't know. Honestly I doubt he'd probably care to meet you all, though I'm sure we all dig him. Sky does, you do, I do. Any other Paragon I'm sure is fair game for that too. And yessss, he does," she agreed, her smirk getting slightly mischievous as very happy thoughts came into her head.
Lorelai sighed as she calmed down from laughing so she could answer Kris' next question. "You should remember. You were there, y'know....yesterday when I left the tennis game early to go help him out after burying Diesel and Haven," she explained, unable to help giggling as she finished her sentence. Calming down again, she rolled her eyes at herself and then continued. "Well, I decided to go see him in the med lab, then somehow I was invited out...and then I was there for Beast's class. Plus I know I amuse him, cause otherwise he wouldn't bother. And before you may ask, yes I'm insane. But that's okay. It's fun," she said, amused as she recalled the recent events and thought of prospective new ones. Oh man, if I do it right and get what I want, I bet nothing is gonna bother me. I'm gonna be one happy camper even though maybe a bit sore..Or a lot. Oh well, it's all for my greater good so I'm gonna be a happier camper then. Heeheehee."I'm surprised you haven't disowned me as a friend yet or something for what I'm doing. Or is that cause I'm on your team now and you're not an Acolyte?" she asked with a laugh, figuring that one by one each Acolyte would grow to hate her or disown her as the friend she had once been to them for what she had been doing for herself.

Laughing gently at Lorelai's sarcasm, Kris shook his head a bit and looked in mock awe, "Books? In a Library? Never! Of all places!" Rolling his eyes a bit he shuffled his feet to get more comfortable, settling in a half sitting half standing kind of pose. "Yea, i heard about our sex beast and how he took on the wolverine. But that sucks, my version had them fist fighting. That is a much sexier image, can i keep that one? Reality never lives up to my imagination." He chuckled, winking a little at his new team mate. The girl had settled in amazingly quickly with the paragons and Kris himself felt a draw towards her. Sure; she wasn't the most fashionable and that hair colour was odd, but in a way everything suited her.
"And never mind if he wants to meet me darling, he will do ... one way or another. Now, backtrack a bit here. Personal nurse?" He chuckled with disbelief, sitting forward more and looking with interest at the girl in front of him. "You mean, you lucky bloody girl get to be his personal nurse? Do you mean the latex outfit as well? Damn I've always wanted a male nurse ... just in a thong. Well ... no ... just in no thong really. That's even better." He said cheekily, smirking at the utterly delicious image that he had conjured in his head. A naked bed nurse, oh yes. A nice male giving him a full physical. very nice. "Aaaarg I'm jealous Frostie! Not fair!" He whined a little.
"I could have went and helped too, but oh no. You went by yourself. Damn you woman! you took the best arse in this school for your very own, so not fair. His arse will be mine one day. You wait and see." Half threat and joke, Hemlock sat back again. Going back to his mental image and moaning a little in upset at having no-one to touch. To take whenever he pleased. It was hard enough coming from an all boys school, it wasn't his fault he was gay. Kris loved it. "Aww no darling, you're one of us now. We paragons stick together. Whoever fits in anyway. Katana had to go. I got worried i would grow fungi from my eyes if she got any closer. Eeeurgh!" He said, shuddering a little. "You're cool girl, and I desperately want to know who on earth did your hair!" He added, motioning to the blue locks on her head.
"Anyway, yea. You want any help with that outfit? From what i remember from my gal pals back home those outfits are no where near revealing enough for a man. I could shred it a bit, get you some more skin exposure. The guy will jump you soon enough and then you can give him to me! Thats a good plan. I don't give a shit if he's straight. No man, when a certain level of drunk, will say no to a shag. Guy or not." He said with a devilish smile. This sounded juicy.

Lorelai shook her head with a smirk as she heard what Kris imagined what happened in comparison to what really went down, and then had to laugh again at the jealousy she picked up at the title of 'personal nurse' and mention of the blasted uniform that always seemed to come up with it. "Helped him once and thus a personal nurse I am, and probably. The uniform is something I manage to keep forgetting as it were, but it's apparently a big requirement," she said with a roll of her eyes at it. Dress up still wasn't something she had gone for before, so she couldn't help laughing at it or something like that whenever it was brought up. If she had to though, she figured she could perhaps...come around to it sometime if it really upped her chances, even though she would feel just a little silly resorting to that.
She had to laugh as Kris whined about how she seemed to 'luck' out and at his seeming determination to get a piece of that too. "Please, Kris, really. You act like he's taken," Lorelai said with a laugh, "Yeah right, far from it. If anything, he's just a chance friend with benefits. Try if you dare, but it's only if you're willing to put in the effort to even show you exist," she said, shaking her head again and leaning back in her chair. "But good luck with that, really," she laughed.
Lorelai laughed again at Kris when he talked about Katana. There had been few times she thought the weird new Acolyte was okay, but the freaked up parts she displayed to everyone trumped the okayness. Especially in Beast's class where she thought she had some right to stick her nose in and threaten her. Now that was stupid. Extremely funny, but stupid. She sticks her nose in things it doesn't belong she'll end up worse than any of us...ha, like she isn't already. I hope she learns that before its too- aw hell what do I care if she learns it or not? She's no concern of mine so she can freak herself over all she likes. "I'm glad I made you al feel better by replacing her," Lorelai laughed before pursing her lips slightly when asked who did her hair. "My mutation did that. I used to have brown hair before that. I'd change it back except now it's one of my defining features, plus I like it now," she explained, absentmindedly touching it for a second.
"By all means, help me with a nurse's outfit. My original plan was just to wear a shirt like this in white," she said, pointing to the camisole she wore, "A white skirt, and put a cross of red tape on one side of my chest and call it a day. If you can do better than that, be my guest," Lorelai said, laughing at the silliness of it. "And afterwards, good luck with that...and I don't think so," she laughed again. "I don't think he would've even last night, when he was loopy off of medicine and alcohol...Sorry Kris," she told him with a slightly amused smirk. "There are plenty of fish in the sea, though. I know you like Kevin..and I don't know if there are any other gay guys around for you, but eye candy yea definitely," she told him with a knowing nod. She knew he liked Kevin, but because she still cared for and respected Kevin's wishes regarding Kris, she wouldn't suggest that her teammate pursue him. Knowing Kevin though, he'd probably talk about her behind her back and gossip now because of what she was doing, but Lorelai wasn't like that.

"Well just you lemme know sweetheart. I'm handy with a needle and threat, and your look like you'd be able to hold the fabric in place yourself on your chest. Although i may try the animal like slash. You gotta give them something to crave still. Trust me babe, when I'm done with you, you'll be walking sideways for days." He chuckled, standing up and stretching a bit while making his way over to his Frisky Frostie.
'Kevin... damn he's still one HOTTIE for the taking but he seems to be so anti gay. Hypocrite. He can get away with it too, damn blonde men! I can't resist them!' Hemlock thought bitterly, hoping not to be with his face contorted in anger. He was most displeased over having been rejected by Kevin, most displeased. He was gay, hot and it was not like Kris was not attractive. Much the opposite. He took great pride in his appearance. Never letting anyone see him in less than his best. Kevin though seemed to take for granted the opportunity that was staring him in the face. Or so Kris wished. Badly.
"As for fabric ... I can order some PVC white stuff. Think that uniform our dear headmistress styles. Damn she knows how to dress. I love her. But you my dear, will look even more sexy than she." He said, smirking under his breath, taking a comb out of his back pocket.
"Now, as for your hair. I love the colour, but the style is a little dated if you don't mind. I know Veronika would kill me for even touching her products but i have some styling equipment in my dorm room if you wouldn't be too scared of me attacking your with it? I promise i would undo everything if you didn't like and i wont cut one single hair before i knew you'd like it. but yea ..." He offered, using his come to gently go through the pretty blue hair. He did adore the hue it was, and how it complemented so well frostbites skin. He himself was thinking of some sort of green shade. He liked green. It was really nice.
"Babe, wanna promise me something?" He asked sweetly, still going through her hair and thinking of different styles he could come up with to help his team mate in her quest to obviously get laid. And bad. "When big bad and sexy HAS you two ways to Sunday, gimme the details. My imagination will only get me so far. and i can tell alot about him by even the slightest detail. If I'm gonna do this, and indeed do him. I gotta get some facts." He laughed gently, letting her hair go after putting in a side parting. "You up for it Frostie?"

“Don’t go too wild now…I’m not flamboyant like you Kris,” Lorelai said with a short laugh, swearing she was wincing for a second at the sound of animal print and walking sideways for days. She looked up as he came over and saw a slightly bitter face but decided not to call him on it. As he went on about clothes, she had to laugh again and made a face that said ‘Oh boy…’ but made sure it was off to the side where Kris couldn’t see. He was having far too much fun with this stuff, and as much it was fun to think about possibilities if Lorelai made progress, nothing was set in stone. “Um.. if you have to.. I’m not promising I’ll wear it, though. I’m insane but not that insane to go around wearing that kinda material,” she commented before he started talking about her hair and then combing it.
“You are not cutting my hair, and you don’t have to do my hair…I’ve never been one for the fancy hair styles and I never will be, especially if there’s no formal event calling for it. Fancy shmancy isn’t my thing. What’s wrong with what I do with my hair anyway? I’m not a fashion and style slave like you are,” she laughed, nudging Kris lightly, “Comfort and simplicity works for me,” she said before what he said next made her feel almost a smidge weary. “Um, maybe? What is it?” she asked, figuring what he would ask could be anything considering.
Lorelai had to laugh at the request, and then shook her head a little, smirking. “Oh boy.. Ok Kris, you’re getting way ahead of yourself, and me. Dude, nothing’s happened yet, plus..” she said, harboring a now sly smirk. “I don’t kiss and tell. And really, believe me when I tell you, I think Rumble is as straight as they come so no matter what I may tell you would do you any good. Besides…he doesn’t really deal with us underclassmen anyways. I amuse him, that’s the only reason he barely bothers with me in the first place. Honestly though, I think the only way you’re ever gonna have your way and do him is in your dreams. Any way else…and I don’t think it’s gonna end well. If he buried Diesel and Haven for coming after him, imagine what he might do if you like…try to jump him out of the blue or something. Not gonna be good. I wouldn’t do that…I would like to stay alive,” she said with a half laugh. Lorelai had no doubt that Rumble would kill any random person in the school if he felt like it especially if he thought it fun, and to provoke him to do so would be rather stupid.

Kris started shaking his head a little in way of pushing away the idea of Rumble being simply straight. Everyone was either straight or not interested. no-one even wanted to give him a second glance. It hurt a little but Hemlock new better than to mope. He simply got on with it like he was used to when he was in a straight all boys school. At least here he knew there was a possibility with little Kevin. After all, he was getting more defined by the day. That 'V' was all too tempting. Somehow though, he resisted.
"Oh you're no fun. Frankly my dear, I don't give a damn if i get the same treatment as Haven and Diesel." He chuckled, quoting a film he had studied last year in school. Gone with the wind was set in a beautiful time. And Rett Butler was so hot. "A guy can dream can't he? Is it my fault he's fit?" He said, shaking his head a little and thinking again on that outfit he was wanting to help with. He could at least help after all. "Heh, i won't say the outfit will look in any way decent, but that's the idea isn't it?" He laughed, still thinking over how he could do anything half way wearable. "I could ask Heather and Veronika for some tips, I think i just want to try; so i can get my hands on some latex again. That stuff is just ... uuuurngh! I love it! Not really made an outfit before though. Bear that in mind" he chuckled; biting down on his lip harshly.
"And don't you worry, i don't want to destroy that look you got there. It just bugs me sometimes when people don't part their hair a certain way. See you, you suit a side parting. It looks pretty on you. Whereas I've seen some girls here try and pull it off and not even coming close to acceptable. I mean, doesn't anyone use a mirror anymore?" He said, frustrated and very serious about what he was talking about. "I say to Allure all the time it's like half the students don't even care! It's infuriating really." He huffed, pulling a half way smile and sitting back down on his seat. Kris liked Lorelai, she was cool and had a fun attitude. Sure, she hung a bit too close to the Hellions for his liking but the girl herself was fun. Even if she wouldn't kiss and tell.

Lorelai had to laugh. "Okay, well when you get buried or worse, you'll be giving a damn, I'm sure of that," she laughed, shaking her head even as he went on about latex and asking for help from Veronika and Heather. She had a feeling she might regret a little enlisting help from Kris as far as some indecent outfit went. For her hair, she felt the side part and saw more blue hair hanging down on one side of her face and decided she kinda liked it, and would probably like it more when she looked in a mirror.
She laughed again when Kris was being really serious about how some girls in the school did their hair so carelessly. Lorelai wondered if he knew she was one of them; her hair was either down, or in a ponytail depending on how she felt like she wanted it and she thought it worked enough for her. But hey, if a side part could be a new twist to when she did her hair and made it look better, then that was good for her and she'd keep it like that. "I'm surprised if they don't care. Honestly, cause you know this school is full of teenagers with raging hormones....case in point...look at us," she said with a laugh, smirking as she was sure they were not the only two letting their hormones get the best of them.
She started thinking about what kind of outfit Kris was cooking up in his head and almost felt herself wince at the thought, until the thought of dressing up at all made her start to think of her ex Chris. Lorelai never dressed up in an extreme way, no nurse uniforms or role play clothes or, but she remembered having to dress up nice in a skirt, shoes with a little heel and maybe a corset shirt or just a nice one whenever she was going on a date with Chris invited to dinner at his house. He lived in a big house, and his parents were very refined and gave off a rich feel to them, so she felt she needed to do that every time. It had been well recieved by them, and they liked that she did it for them, but they had liked her already because she knew how to act around them. Even when Chris was there trying to make her do something that might put her in a compromising position there, she behaved most of the time. Whenever it was too much for her, Chris' parents would reprimand him and she would giggle. Then when they were alone he'd get her back by wrestling her.
When she had been with him, it had been great especially because they had meshed so well; both being skaters and slightly on the punk side. When they were in public he liked to be possessive and kissed her in front of everyone, and he would poke her, pull her hair and play rough before running off. Often she would jump on his back after that, and all their friends would laugh with them or pick on them playfully, but it was always good. When they were alone, however, they would still be as playful, but Chris displayed a softer side that their friends didn't see. Lorelai loved things the way they had been, and she found herself looking off away from Hemlock and staring at the floor, a hint of a smile on her face.
Now that she was thinking on a roll she couldn't help thinking of all the things they used to do in and out of school. Lorelai couldn't count how many times there were school functions she missed because she would sneak off with Chris to drink or mess around, or how many times she slipped out her window and jumped quietly down the low roofs to the ground to meet him in the middle of the night to go cruise in his car and park somewhere random to mess around. Going to movies were always fun too, cause even though they payed to see one movie, they would manage to sneak into an R rated film and watch only maybe a quarter of the movie, spending half the movie making out and spending what was left throwing popcorn at random people in front of them. They never really chilled at her house because it was one of the last things she wanted cause she was sure her parents would embarrass her about it, so she ended up spending a good deal of time at his house. Her parents knew about Chris, but they didn't push her to meet him and see him all the time, something Lorelai was quite thankful for.
It was then she could feel something in her chest, like a tug at her heart at the thought of how things had been before her mutation seemed to have ruined her life at the time. Lorelai had really loved him, and he had loved her, but as those warm fuzzy feelings that had been starting to tickle her insides started to turn numb as she remembered how it was then was far from how it was now. Now she was in a mutant school, which wasn't bad, not at all, but were she home in Boston she'd be friendless and alone, probably still heartbroken beyond words, and may have lost incentive to skateboard anymore since the nearby skatepark was a major hangout of theirs. Thinking of how badly it had ended made that little hint of a smile fade into somewhat of a frown as her face dropped slightly. Every time she had thought back to Chris, which was occasionally, it was always this up and then down, and she'd have to go off and do something to distract herself from thinking about it more.
Lorelai didn't want to sit in the library anymore, so she snapped out of her trance from the floor and looked up at Hemlock. "Hey Kris," she said, swearing she felt a pang at the sound of the name, "I'm gonna go to my room...you can stay and think of the outfit you're gonna make for me if you want...if anything just make it hot," she said, placing the book she had on the table next to the chair and grabbing her iPod. She gave him a look that told him she wanted to be alone and then with a nod, she turned and left the library, putting her earbuds back in and blasted some music that would help take her mind off of what wasn't going to change. She needed to be fine again so she could focus in Iceman's class, which was pretty soon.
