"Chopper please try not to spill anything in the basket, we only have so much pancakes to go around," Karma said with a little laugh seeing as her little girls made far too much batter and they had far more pancakes than they could ever finish. "Lily sweetheart, are you sure you are okay carrying that blanket? It's awfully big and you are so small." She looked up at tiny fairy that carried the large folded blanket. "Just don't hurt yourself. Jenny, come on sweetheart we're going to need all the plates and cups first. Torri thank you for grabbing the syrups. Come on everybody, we got some setting up to do for when our new member joins us!" Karma held the door open for all her little ones to come through, her own arms full of the cartons of orange juice and milk.
Once everyone was through the door, Karma closed it behind them and walked toward the lovely garden that Colossus and Jenny worked so hard to make lovely. It was really starting to bloom. "Jenny it was a great idea to eat out here in the garden, it looks beautiful! You and Pete did an amazing job!" she complimented and looked around for a spot to sit. A spot between the lovely Cherry Blossom tree right next to the bench looked perfect, since they can put all the drinks on the bench. "That spot looks nice don't you think? Lily can you set the blanket up right under that pretty Cherry Blossom tree next to the bench? Thank you sweetheart," Karma said and set the drinks on the bench.
Once the blanket was laid out, she sat down and motioned for her little ones to join. "Come on everybody, we got to eat while it's still warm! Jenny pass out the plates to everybody please, Chopper please take out the plates of pancakes. Torri, you can set the syrups on the bench honey. Now, who would like what to drink? Milk or orange juice?" Karma asked and took the cups, ready to pour drinks for her little ones.

Arms holding tightly onto the Syrup bottles she had offered to take, Torri walked out of the door beside Jenny. she was still adjusting to the news that she was not part of the combat teams that she stayed more silent than normal. To her, it felt like she had been punished. Demoted. Although she may not have felt ready to be a fighter she loved being part of a team that would rely on each other. Now she was stuck in the kiddie team. The oldest one there at 13 and after having bitten the metaphorical apple, to have it taken from her was leaving her a little out of place.
Once the group where all settled, she placed the bottles she held on the bench and sat down cross legged on the ground beside them. It was a really pretty place where they sat. The pink made Torri smile a little, remembering her mis-shapen shifting a couple of months previously. Something about the pink tree just made her want to sit and stare. All day if need be.
It was very different here to her old home. That was a given fact she had established not days into her stay. But still, the littlest things about the school occasionally made her stop and smile. Back home it had rained so much and the occasional sunny day she had spent indoors because her mother didn't want to burn outside and wasn't going to let Torri out on her own. There was a strange feeling of freedom here though; one which she adored so fully.
"I'd like some orange juice if it's ok." She said to her new team leader, not really focusing on the group. Too much thought was still sitting in the way that the branches moved very gently. Almost like dancing. It was very pretty. "Karma, do you know what the new kid is gonna be like?" She asked, glancing back at the group. Not that it troubled her too much, but she was curious. She had only just got used to the group as it was. Adding another one could put her off balance.

Jenny flopped on the blanket and put the stack of paper plates and the baggy of plastic utensils. "I hope it's another girl. One that has a friend for Roger," she announced and patted Roger's head, setting a plate for him first. "I like that theres lots of girls, on the count that the less icky boys the better." She stuck her tongue out at Chopper and gave out the plates to everyone, standing up to hand one to Torri. Jenny had on her Little Mermaid shirt and Roger wore his little shell helmet so they could match. If the new person was a cool girl, she wanted to make an impression.
"I wants three pancakes, and one for Roger please. And I wants the strawberry syrup and maple syrup on them. Roger likes his plain," Jenny bossed like she always did and fussed over Roger. "Oh, and Karma, me and Roger would like milks please," she said to her caretaker politely in her slight lisp. "We're real hungry you know, and we needs to be ready cause Mr. Kurt promised he'd show us to play tennis later, Right Roger?"Jenny looked at her bunny for confirmation and then nodded at Karma with wide eyes.

Lily plopped down onto the blanket, letting out a big sigh. Carrying that huge blanket was harder than she thought, but she knew she could handle it. She squirmed around for a couple seconds to get comfortable and settled for sitting Indian style with a big smile on her face. "Can I has twenty five pancakes and some orange juice?" she asked cutely. "I'm really really hungry after carrying that blanket. It's fifty bajillion times bigger than the one I used to have at home that my Grandpa gave me. It has more colors than this one, though," she said thoughtfully, pointing at the few colors that was on the blanket they all sat on. She had been exaggerating of course, but to her this blanket was really very big.
"When's the newbieeeeee joining us?" Lily asked, using a word she heard people use for a new person that she thought sounded funny. "I hope they're funny and cool and not a big buttface like him," she said, pointing at Chopper while looking at Karma as she spoke. Lily was excited that they were getting another teammate since there was really only the few of them that were already there. Sometimes flittering around all the big kids made her feel a lot smaller, but at least they were all happy to see her pass by, and she didn't even have to sprinkle happy dust on them. Only the big really mean kids did she have to rain it down on them before she would go near them. After that mean older ghosty kid scared her, she learned to either get them really good, or just stay away altogether.

"The only buttface is the one I see on your head Lily," Chopper said with a pointed look and took the plates of hot pancakes, waffles, and French toast out and laid them on the ground. "And I ain't giving any breakfast to that moldy ol' rabbit either. It's just a stupid toy, it can't eat! And the day that rabbit plays a game of tennis is the day that I put on the stupid dress that Lily wears. It's a stupid toy!" he exclaimed and scowled folding his arms over his chest, very grumpy that he was now the only boy out of three girls. It made him miss Chester and Aideen all the more, Aideen was at least a cool girl not a stupid one like the rest of them.
"Man I don't want any more girls. I'm tired of girls. I don't even know why she's here," Chopper said pointing to Torri. "This stinks, I thought I only had to deal with more icky girls at meal times and now we got another? It's not fair!" he folded his arms again and scowled at everybody, waiting to be told off by Karma. He didn't care, he was sick of being the only boy.

Kitty was in an especially cheery mood this morning, especially because not only was it a fresh new start to the day, there was a new little one, he was quite a cutie and she had the honors of presenting him to his team. She was with little Austin while she helped him get settled in after he was welcomed to the school, and then led him from the Alpha's bedroom to outside where she was told Karma and her little ones -and Torri now would be. "I hope you like this school, Austin. Your sister does- she's in the Paragons, which is an older team. I know you're gonna love your team too, and I'm sure Chopper will be ecstatic to have another boy on the team with him," she told him while she walked with him outside and into Piotr's well kept and lovely garden.
"You'll be on the Alpha Squadron. It's where all the younger ones go, but don't you worry. You'll have plenty of fun, believe me. Half the time I wish I was little again so I could have fun like that," she giggled before continuing on. "There's Jenny who's a spunky little girl, Lily who's just plain adorable, Chopper, who I'm sure you'll like and Torri. She just got moved to the team, but I'm sure you'll like her too. We're all very happy to have you here, you know," she told him, looking down at him with a smile as they strolled through the garden while Kitty looked for where the group was sitting.
They were right where she would've gone straight to like she had so many times- right at the sakura tree and the marble bench where she could sit and just enjoy the garden. "Here we are," she told Austin and then smiled at the group having a breakfast picnic on the ground. "Hey guys! Oh wow, it all looks so good!" Kitty commented with a giggle before lightly placing a hand on Austin's shoulder. "Xi'an, Alphas, this is Austin Walker, your newest teammate and classmate. He just arrived today and here he is!" she told them all with a big smile and gently urged Austin forward slightly to sit down with his new team. She was sure he would fit in fine, and knew that Chopper would probably be thrilled. Being around all girls probably wasn't all fun especially when in the 'Cootie stage.'

He grinned at the Chopper boy but only looked blankly at the two girls. Is that a BUNNY RABBIT sitting next to the Jenny girl? EWURGHARR THE OTHER GIRL HAS PINK HAIR. THATS YUCKY! EVEN FOR A GIRL! Austin stared at the pink haired girl slightly scared - she looked to odd with her pink hair. He then looked at the other older girl. She looked too old to be with them, why was she with them? "Aren't you too old?" Austin said really confused as he stared blankly at the older girl, "Skyler told me that only younger people are Alpha Squ-Squa- Squawhatever." He stared at her for a second, before the pancakes caught his eye. "FOOD! I'M SO HUNGRY! AWESOMEE PANCAKES!" he exclaimed at the food, he was ALWAYS hungry. How could ANYONE ever NOT be hungry? That would just be very very odd. "Can I have a pancake?" he added, slightly innocently looking at the person Kitty had called Shan.

"I wouldn't be sitting here if I was too old!" Torri said as she stuck her tongue out childishly at Austin. He looked like a cool wee kid, but he was a boy. And one who looked like he would be exactly like Chopper in the way he acted around girls. "Just cause your wee doesn't mean I have to be." She added, laughing a little to herself and turning herself around so she was facing the group more than she had been before.
"Anyway, what do you do?" She asked, trying to play nice before she got told off for being cheeky. First full day in the team. Getting told off was not a good idea. She was the oldest; she had to show the wee ones how to behave ... sort of.

Karma smiled brightly when Kitty came with the little boy, giggling a little that after all of Chopper's complaining, it turned out to be boy. "Of course you can have some pancakes Austin, it's nice to have another boy here, isn't it Chopper? Why don't you serve him up some pancakes and explain to him why we don't call other people names, and how it makes us lose free time?" Karma raised an eyebrow at Chopper expectantly, to let him know that hurtful outbursts are not acceptable no matter what mood someone was in. "Welcome to Alpha Squadron Austin, we're very happy to have you, right girls?" Karma said looking to the girls and beckoning for them to welcome the new addition.
She smiled sweetly at Kitty, her eyes subtly giving her a once over in force of habit. "Thanks Kitty, you have great timing. Chopper here just attempted to instigate a war with my girls," she said with a little giggle to her best friends. "Thanks for bringing him, you want to join us for breakfast? Or do you have plans with Pete again?" she asked and helped herself to some of the pancakes that we're laid out. "We have plenty to eat, the girls and I overestimated the amount of ingredients needed to make batter," she said and giggled a little at the mishap.

It was Jenny's turn now to cross her arms and scowl. "Oh great it's bad enough we have one icky boy! Now we gots to deal with both of them," she said with a huff and scowled at them. "And if you call Roger a stupid toy one more time, you'll be sorry! I'll gave you a whooping before and I'll do it again!" Jenny threatened before she caught the look on Karma's face and sighed loudly, loading the pancakes on her plate and putting a plain one for Roger.
"Welcome to the team," she mumbled begrudgingly and leaned over to grab the syrup and pour some on her stack of pancakes. She put a teaspoon of butter on top of then and neatly cut the pancakes into little pieces for herself and for Roger. "Boys are icky and weird and nothin' more than dirty trash cans full of poop. I can beat em' up any ol' day," Jenny muttered to herself. She looked up at Kitty with wide eyes and grinned widely. "Stay with us Kitty, we gots lots of pancakes and we don'ts mind sharing with another girl," she said pointedly.
Jenny put a fork in Roger's paw. "Go on Roger, you can have some too. I mades them just the way you like em'," she said to her very best bunny friend in the world. Roger had been her friend since she was a little baby and she wasn't going to give him up ever. She couldn't have many friends other than her icky brothers and her animal friends cause she lived way out on a farm. Roger had always been there for her when no one else had, so she always treated him right,

Lily's big eyes looked at her newest teammate curiously before she couldn't help grinning big, even if he was a boy. There could've been the possibility that he wasn't going to be a big buttface like Chopper was, but with the look she saw him give her, she stuck her tongue out at him. "Yeah, what theys said," she said, pointing at Jenny and Karma as her form of welcoming Austin to the team. She looked to Jenny and made the point of whispering, "Looks like we'll have to team up real good againsts them. Icky dummy boys."
Her lower lip pouted slightly at having gotten a boy for a new teammate and grabbed four pancakes onto her dish one by one. Then she slathered on big heaping chunks of butter on to each one and messily spread them around with her fork, licking it afterwards. She then spread too much syrup on them all as well, even though she was expecting Karma to tell her not to put so much butter and syrup on her pancakes. Lily's mom used to do that all the time too, because Lily had this weird love for butter and loved to pile it on anything she could get away with, as well as syrup. She had even tried eating it with things one wouldn't expect syrup to go with, but her mom ended up having to hide both things. "MMMMMmmmm yummy pancakes!" she squealed, smiling cutely as she used her fingers to pile them on top of each other in one stack and then licking her fingers clean after.
It looked like a soppy, slightly discolored stack of pancakes, but it didn't stop Lily from taking her fork and stabbing pieces from the pile and eating it. The look on her face was quite happy even after a couple of bites and she looked at Austin with a syrupy smile. She lifted her plate a little and offered it to him. "Wanna try my pancakes? They're really really good. 'Specially if you likes butter and syrup," she said, taking another bite with her little fork because she just had to eat some while she waited for an answer. If he didn't want any, that was very good because that would mean more for her. Despite having been looked at like she was and vowing to team up with Jenny, her mother always taught her to be nice to new people because you never know if they could become your friend, and the best way to do it was to be nice.

Kitty couldn't help but giggle at all the reactions from the little ones as well as Xi'an. The girls didn't seem too pleased to have the odds evened out a little, although Lily looked like she was trying to be nice. Jenny looked slightly grumpy, and even so they all still looked adorable all the while. "Alright guys, I'll stay! I actually don't have plans with Petey today so I will indulge myself with some good looking pancakes," she giggled as she took a seat on the blanket across from Karma and crossed her legs.
"You guys must've been psychic to know to make so many pancakes, maybe if there's enough left over after everyone's had their fill I might snag some to bring to Petey. I'm sure he'd love to have some of what you guys made," Kitty said with a laugh and grabbed a plate so she could take a couple of pancakes for herself. She took some butter and some syrup and and did them up just the way she liked before taking a bite. "Mmm! You guys did a good job!" she complimented, looking at the young ones with a big smile before smiling at Xi'an next. "I'm glad I was able to bring Austin to you guys, I get breakfast and everything!" she giggled.
She looked over at Torri and gave her a soft smile. "How are you adjusting being with the Alphas? I'm sure it must be constantly fun, what with these cuties here," she said lightheartedly, looking at Jenny, Lily, and Chopper. It reminded her that it was another loss on Piotr's part- another Acolyte gone, and she wondered if he was okay. She figured he probably really needed to talk with his team now that it was switched around and lessened, and she would be there if he needed to talk to her too. She felt bad for him, that his team was going through so many changes in just the span of two days, one day even. There wouldn't be much she could do for him about it, so she hoped he would be alright in the end.
"So what's on the agenda for you guys today? Making and baking more food or something else really fun?" she asked while munching on her pancakes. "I'm sure whatever it is will be fun. Xi'an's always been great with you guys," she went on before letting them speak while she ate more of her pancakes. The morning was off to a good start.

Turning her head to the side a few times Torri half smiled at ShadowKat's question. She liked being of Colossus' team after she had settled down. Then again, she really liked the alpha kids. She felt like a big sister image for them, someone they could look up to. That really made her feel all warm and fluffy inside when she looked at the two girls and saw them grinning back at her. She really did adore them.
"I'm ok aye, it's a bit weird not wearing red anymore." She laughed a little, her face brightening up considerably. "I kinda liked the red." Still smiling she reached forward and snagged a few of the pancakes for herself before lathering them lovingly in the sweet and sticky syrup. Torri really liked the syrup. "I miss Colossus though, he can hug really good!" She said, blushing a little and shrinking back to eat her pancakes again. Why did she just admit to liking the hugs from a teacher?
There were many things that she missed really, her friends being the main one. The feeling of protection. Knowing that she was a big kid to people like the alphas. Now that she was one of them that feeling left, replaced by one of knowing that she had a long way to go before she would be ready for any sort of mission, or combat. That in itself was the biggest relief.
With that she dug a fork deep into her pancakes, now that they where a little soggy and squishy from the toffee syrup. The squelching made her smile as she twisted the fork to cut off a slice and shoveled it into her mouth with a loud 'MmmmmmmMmmmmm!'
