Ivy laughed slightly, having pulled her knee back a little after Ricki poked it. "That would be a question better aimed at Ricki, I've been out of commission for long enough and from all I've been told, I'm guessing it's a lot different than what I had last seen of the team," she laughed again. It was still weird to think of how things had changed while she was in quarantine, but they changed and there was nothing she could do about it. Lorelai was gone and Katana was in her place. Ivy was sure that hadn't been sitting too well with the others, but what could she do? She wasn't sure who she preferred, although from what she had seen from a while back, Lorelai wasn't bad, and Katana had barely been on her radar. Now that the two had switched, not only did she have to get used to being back, she also had to get used to someone she didn't see a lot or know very well because they were on her team now.
"As for your French, Ricki pointed out the problems. You seem to get the grasp of it which is good, so you've got that going for you. Why not try out one more example and then we can move on?" she suggested before looking at Ricki with a roll of her eyes. "I do not have brain freezes! I'm thorough with looking things over, so sue me," she said, gently nudging Ricki with the tip of her foot. "I'm living fine and well, thank you. I'm back and I'm happy, and no more sickness either," she said as she looked from Katana's paper to her own notebook for a moment before looking back at it, but she wasn't looking at the paper directly this time.
She caught it by chance, and it made her have this quick visceral feeling as she realized what it was. On her hand there was the slightest hint of a greenish sheen forming on her hand. Ivy knew herself enough to know that it was poison, and her eyes widened slightly before returning to normal so that neither of the others would see something was up. She slipped her hand into the long sleeve of her hoodie so that it was covered, thankfully it was her right hand, the one she didn't have to write with, and stuck it in between her leg and the couch. An uneasy feeling was now there, but she didn't want to give it away and tip Ricki and Katana off that something was wrong. She would also have to make sure that neither of them touched her skin. At all. What's wrong with me? I just got out and I just got back to see everyone else. I don't want to go back to being in quarantine, I hated it. No one can touch me, from now on, for sure. Not even with clothes covering my skin, cause I don't know if that poison might seep through...I really hope not.. I don't want to poison anyone, especially the ones I care about, she thought as she kept her face in a normal expression.
"You know, Ricki, you could do the teaching instead of me, you're just as good at French. You give your blonde self too little credit sometimes," she said with a laugh before grinning. "Besides, it might actually keep you awake on such a Friday night as this, cause I'm sure you have some plans," she said, knowing that it had to be true. Whether it was with Shimmer, who was no longer on the Acolytes, or with other people. Ivy hoped it was the latter since even she had thought it wasn't too good to hang with and baby Shimmer the way she had been. She would have said something, only she'd been kept away for a while. Now with this poison she saw on her hand, she hoped it wouldn't happen again.
