"What do you think?" Heather asked Veronika. "Should I have my hair up or down tonight?" She tossed her head back from bending over from putting lotion on her legs and the rest of her body; making sure her already healthy skin was even more moisturized. Veronika's mother gave her a tip about how men loved soft skin on women, as well as their hair. Luckily for Heather she was blessed with both. Only thing she hated was her inability to tan as dark as she wanted. She was fair skinned and at times had a peachy tone, but she was never able to tan like exotic girls. Irish-American girls didn't have that luxury. She didn't mind though, certain fashion choices always aided in giving the illumination that she had darker skin than she really did. It was all about patterns and color choice.
She removed her towel, since she just had to shower again for her date, and placed her undergarments on. Her strawberry-honey scent radiated from the bathroom thanks to her hot baths which made the humidity stick within the room until she opened the door to her and Veronika's room. Heather loved that smell and she always used it. By now her ears were feeling much better and her bath helped sooth the muscles around the disks that rearranged. "C'mon Ronnie," she said with a smirk. She loved her nickname for her best friend. It made her think of the Archie comics and how Betty and Veronica were ALWAYS together just like she and Veronika. Fortunately Heather's Veronika wasn't so spoiled and vain... as least that was what she thought...
"Riker was kinda... protective of me in the lab. He wouldn't let Gavin near me even though I told him fifty times that I was fine. I even asked Beast to assure him but he was too busy with his own stuff." Heather felt quite bad about how Gavin and Kyle were treated by Riker. But she loved how much of a brother he was to her; something she never had before. It was a different feeling compared to when she first got to the school. She didn't have that sense of family like she did with her father until Riker introduced the whole idea of a pack. Since then, the New Mutants were way closer than they use to be with the exception of a new members...
Heather took her dress out of her closet and hung it on the door, smoothing it out. "I need to make it up to him somehow. He didn't seem so thrilled about the whole thing." She ruffled out her damp hair with her towel before simply removing all the water from her body and allowing it to soak within the towel. She was getting use to her powers and loving them more and more. Now, blow drying her hair didn't take such a long time and all she needed was to style it. Thankfully her hair had natural volume and a bit of a bounce to it.

"Well of course he was upset, Riker was snapping at anyone that got within five feet of you, other than myself of course," Veronika said from her bed where she lounged as she looked through the latest Cosmopolitan. She was dressed in a pair of Juicy Couture sweatpants and a cute tank top with sequins on it, her hair up in a casual yet styled ponytail. After coming back to the room with Heather from the med lab, she changed into her cute relaxed look that made her even more innocent looking than she already seemed to everyone.
Personally, Veronika was still proud of the little stunt she had Dante pull at the pool. It gave her a secretive thrill with the power she held over people, how she could manipulate even the strongest and most suspicious mind to do her bidding with only a small effort on her part. Of course, a lot of that skill was credited to the time she spent with the elusive Emma Frost, who was helping her explore her power all the more. She was the only person in the school that was aware just how much she used her power, everyone else at the school saw Veronika as the sweet and cute girl that she wanted them to see.
Just like her best friend saw right then as Veronika looked up at her with her jewel like blue eyes, her pretty face scrunched up in a cute way to show she was seriously thinking. "I think you should put your hair down. You just got the haircut and if you use the large rollers to give that it that 'beach look' it would look wonderful!" she exclaimed with a smile, blowing a curl out of her face. "Gavin will love it, I know. So..." She gave her friend a sly look , with a hint of expectancy. "Are you going to ask him finally about where your relationship will lead? It is really something you should do, him flirting so much with other girls is unacceptable," Veronika said tossing her ponytail to fall to the side of her shoulder.

Heather sat down at her vanity and sighed. Veronika brought up the topic a lot lately and today it was really being put on. However Heather couldn't help but agree that her friends had a logical point. She just really didn't think it was that serious. Gavin was a flirt, that she knew. But she did trust him when he came to being committed to her and any other girl he wanted to be with. In all honesty she didn't know. But one thing she did know was that she could be open with him and find out what exactly he wanted out of their relationship. If it turned out that he couldn't do the serious aspect of it, well... it would hurt... that was certain. But she wasn't in love with the guy. She loved him as her best friend and thought of him as family. The boyfriend thing... would have been great... but sometimes people just couldn't handle it.
She placed the giant rollers in her hair and began to set them perfectly. "I don't really think he's flirting on purpose," she replied. "He's like that with... everyone... you know that." She continued to place the rollers in and sighed. She looked at Veronika with the mirror, making sure not to ruin her hair. She then placed some hair spray to keep the beach curls in place, but let them still set for now. "Don't look at me like that... I'm gonna tell him..." She thought about what she would say and how she would say it. She knew everyone was right and she couldn't keep denying that Gavin's ways sort of bothered her sometimes. All she wanted was the official title... that was all she needed and everything would be fine.

Veronika rolled her eyes and stuck the loose strand of hair behind her ear. "I am only saying that you are worth so much more than to date some guy and have him flirt with other girls all the- what in the world?" She sat up at the sound of screaming in the hallway, glancing quickly at Heather. "It just never ends, I wonder what happened?" Delicately as ever, yet with a spring to her step at the need for a rush, she jumped from the bed and walked quickly over to the door, opening it wide to hear all the more screaming down the hallway from Frostbite's room. Just as she looked, she saw Ian drop a bunch of books and papers in the hallway and run towards the room.
"Looks like the Cold Whore found the little surprise in her room," Veronika said with a sneer, giving her best friend a cool glance. She didn't appreciate being attacked as she , and she knew no one on her team tolerated it when she got hurt or attacked by anyone. They had been under her charm for months now, and Veronika knew without a doubt that her entire team was extremely protective of the petite redhead. Though she did not take well to being attacked, she had to smirk to know that Frostbite would get it back ten times worse.
The thing is, that Veronika could easily have Frostbite thrown off the team. All she would have to do was come to Nightcrawler tearfully, claiming that she didn't feel safe with Frostbite being so close by after a completely uncalled for attack on her. She knew he would advocate for her, the blue demon man adored her beyond anything. However, the reason she didn't was because with Frostbite on the Paragons, she would be paying hell at every turn. The Paragons were relentless, and they took care of each other. Frostbite was not one of them, and she never would be, therefore she was an intruder that needed to be dealt with in a way unique to the Paragons.
"Ian just ran in there, poor thing dropped all his things to do it. A real hero indeed, running into the most frigid and foul places to aid someone," she purred as she glanced over at Heather again. "I think he deserves a hand, the sweet strong man that he is," she said and pushed off the door frame to go in the hallway and gather the scattered papers on the floor, listening to the yelling and screaming from the room. How she adored the thrill of chaos and danger, especially when she had an element of control in it all.

"Yea babe, let's get outta here," Ian said with a grin that she was smiling now too and put an arm around her, walking her out of that room and into the hallway. He hated to see people upset like that, girls especially since that's just how he was. Hey, he was only a guy, and he didn't do well with that stuff, especially since Liv seemed really cool and chill. "Don't worry 'bout the room thing either, Ms. Frost is mad cool and all, she ain't gonna keep you in a room with her after that." He just sort of kept talking calmly to make her feel better more than anything else.
A big, beaming smile came on his face when he saw Veronika in the hallway, being her sweet self and actually being cool enough to pick up all the stuff he dropped. "Wow Veronika babe thanks! You didn't have to get these," he said with a beaming smile and went to take the books and stacks of papers from the petite redhead. "Oh hey babe, I got an idea. Veronika, Liv here got in like an issue with her room and stuff, would it be cool if she could clean up in your bathroom?" He looked between the two Paragons beaming ear to ear. Veronika was the nicest of the Paragons, and he saw her and Liv talking the other night so he figured they'd be cool with each other.
"That sound okay babe? Imma go and check with Ivy mad quick cause she always checks my homework for me, and then I'll come by and pick you up. My mom said that frozen apple juice is the best cure for a bloody lip, so we'll go and do that. It's actually really good," he added thoughtfully after a minute. "Yea babe, it's good stuff. And then we'll get all the rest of the stuff taken care of. Sounds good? You both okay with it cause I don't wanna force nothin' on either of you," Ian said looking between the two girls.

Veronika was right. The screaming wad definitely noticeable and Heather never liked drama happening. There was enough of that going on in her own life and her father and friends were the only ones helping her through it. But she was a tough girl, tougher than most people gave her credit for. The mentality of "whatever doesn't kill you, makes you stronger" was something she truly believed in. She turned her head towards the door in order to see and hear better on what was going on. She could hear the yelling and then saw Lorelai storm down the hallway. Oh no, she thought hopelessly. What happened now? She wasn't thinking about it in an annoyed way. It was the "why can't this girl get a break" way. Heather liked Lorelai, even though she had problems. And the New Mutant being the way she was, wasn't going to give up on the Paragon any time soon. She just wasn't going to force herself on her. Lorelai was told by Heather that she could come to her for anything and she would like for them to be friends. It was up to her to come for consolation.
Heather quickly put on a tank top and pajama shorts after taking out the giant rollers. Her hair was perfect in its large voluminous beach like curls, but she didn't really care at the moment since Ian seemed to be really upset. She rushed out of the door to see Veronika speaking to Ian and some other girl. "Hey..." she said softly. "Is everything OK?" The brunette seemed to be really distraught... and blue! Not the Atlantean blue like that new Acolyte girl but physically cold. And her busted lip made Heather's blue eyes really widen. "Oh my God are you OK? Did... did Lorelai do that?!?"
Now she didn't know what to think. Lorelai seems so grounded when she first got here, but as the months went on, everything just turned to shit. Heather wanted to be there for her but she was really starting to make it hard. And after the beating she got from Haven, Heather understood why Lorelai had so much anger built up inside her. But the brunette had to be a new girl since Heather had never seen her before; and the fact that she was in Lorelai's room could have only meant that she was her new roommate. "Ian," she continued before taking a deep sigh. "What happened?!?"

And now that the drama was over, Tia could finally step out of her room.
Tia'd already moved two bags to Ana's room earlier- and that was initially when she'd felt the cold air coming from Lorelai's room, and Tia'd been sharing a bathroom with Lorelai long enough to know that this cold air wasn't normal. Sure enough, there'd been screaming, and by the sounds of it some hitting as well- Tia didn't even need the wind to hear what was going on, she was pretty sure the whole of the girl's dormitory could hear what was happening with the girls. Tia sighed. Drama wasn't her thing. She'd helped Chase out, because Lorelai'd bought it upon herself when she messed with the team.
Now if she went and turned her room into an Ice Palace- it was her buisness. Tia simply rolled her eyes, walking down the Hallway casually as if nothing actually had happened. Her bags were floating behind her, and as she passed Ian, Veronika, Liv and a rather pretty Heather. "Hello Veronika, Ian, Heather." Tia paused, in her monotone, before looking over at Liv. "I'd offer you my room, now that it's empty, but I doubt you want to be that close to Lorelai." It was the first time Tia'd probably spoken to Liv out of choice- she gave her one fleeting look, shrugging before she waved simply at them all and carried on walking, without really waiting for any replies.
She'd drop her stuff in Ana's room, and then perhaps come back. Tia didn't mind the new Paragon. She seemed like she could take care of herself which was good. Tia knocked once on Ana's door, her bags still floating behind her, her eyes not flickering once towards the scene of chaos.

"Isn't it obvious, that blue haired troll threw another temper tantrum and attacked another member of her own team for no reason," Veronika said with her face scrunched in a cute look of anger and disgust as she waved at Tia. She barely contained a laugh when she saw the pathetic little sneer that Frostbite gave her as she was gathering together Ian's papers and books. The whole thing was completely amusing to her, even the new girl getting caught in the crossfire. Of course, she couldn't let that be known as she had to have the girl think that she was extremely concerned for her and angry as to what happened. Liv was still very new, and Veronika needed to cement her in her sphere of control. It was already good enough that she presented herself as someone that was understanding and knew that Liv had to feel at least feel comfortable with her right now.
She took her arm with a still angry look on her face, keeping up the act of being completely furious at the blue haired imbecile. "Come Liv, you will clean up in my room, yes? Then we will see Ms. Frost and get you out of that room with that lunatic. I can let you borrow clothes too, we are not too far apart in size I think," Veronika said looking between the two of them. They had quite different body types, as Veronika was blessed with her mother's curvaceous figure and years of ballet dancing kept it curvy and toned while Liv had the slim body of a gymnast, but they weren't far apart in size that she couldn't fit into a pair of Veronika's sweats.
Her shining sapphire eyes looked up at Ian as she made a smile break through her scowl. "And you Ian are the sweetest man I have ever met! You are just so considerate and I don't think there is a more true gentleman in existence!" Veronika gushed and leaned up on her tip toes to peck him on the cheek, smiling at him angelically. "Come please Liv, I have extra towels and everything." She pulled Liv into her large and glamorously decorated room, as Heather and her made it look like an old Hollywood dressing room.
Leaving Liv standing in the middle of the room, she went right to her drawers and took out a light green velor sweat suit and a white stretchy tank top. "Oh how I hate that girl. I did not want her on the team to begin with, and I am telling you Liv, I just knew she was horrible from the start! Can you believe that she had the galls to treat a boy as kind and funny and amazing like Ian as if he was dirt? She is not even fit to talk to him!" Veronika exclaimed as she handed Liv a towel along with a set of clothes, smiling sweetly at her with a look of concern, her eyes shining as they locked with Liv's, urging her to feel comfortable and unashamed around her. "Do not worry darling, we will get her back. The Paragons stick together, and if you hit one of us, we all hit back," she said in a warm soft voice, reaching up, despite her disgust, to brush some hair sweetly out of her face. Veronika made a note to grab some hand sanitizer the minute the girl got into the bathroom.

“Thank you.” As much as she appreciated Veronika’s kindness, Liv’s thanks weren’t directed at the redhead that had just loaded her up with towels and clean clothes. She was looking at the big Acolyte, gratitude in her expression. The whole situation, having to face Lorelai like that, must have sucked for him as much as it had for her but Ian had been a champ about it. Veronika was totally right. He was a stand up guy. He had come to her rescue when he didn’t even know her and, while Liv was far from happy, Ian had taken the edge off her anger and distress. And now Veronika was just being so incredibly gracious to her… how could Lorelai treat these people so poorly? Her friends? Her team? “I appreciate this, Veronika. I promise that I’ll be quick.” She let herself into the bathroom, eager to get out of sight. Liv hated that she had been seen all shivery and pathetic by Veronika and Tia. That her teammates might think of her as a burden irked her more than the actual beat down. Liv wasn’t a weak person and to be seen so shaken up and out of sorts when she was usually laid back and jovial was a bit of a kick to her pride. She was already half useless to the Paragons with her power being more enjoyable than actually practical, and now… Don’t you dare cry, she told herself sternly, turning on the shower and letting it run. Don’t even think about it. For a moment, Liv stood in front of the mirror, arms wrapped tightly around herself trying to rub some feeling back into her frozen limbs. She couldn’t seem to shake the burning cold that was tingling painfully through her extremities like thousands of pins and needles. She let the shower run while she examined her face, displeased with who she saw looking back. So that’s why the blonde looked so concerned, she mused darkly. Still shivering, she poked at her lip with her tongue, certain that it couldn’t possibly be as bad as it looked, and nearly went cross-eyed. Okay, maybe it was that bad. Her eyes narrowed as she took in the swollen, lip and the bruise forming along her cheek but that wasn’t what infuriated her. A few bruises didn’t matter. Liv would heal and be just fine, but this couldn’t keep happening. Olivia Cooper was no victim and she refused to act like one or be treated like she was as dangerous as some declawed kitten. F*ck that. Liv sunk down against the back of the shower wall, letting the warm water douse her, clothes and all. No, she was no victime, but she was hurt, she was humiliated, and she was terribly disappointed in herself. She would be indifferent and dismissive later. For now, she just wanted to take advantage of the comfort that her friends had offered her. First she was going to clean herself up. Then… applejuice.

Ian smiled softly looking after Liv as she was ushered away by the little redhead brought her away. He had to admit, a slight blush came to his face when Veronika kissed him on the cheek. That was something he couldn't help though, cause come on it was Veronika, he didn't think there was a guy in existence that wouldn't feel special getting a kiss from a girl like her, even if it was just on the cheek. "Yea um..." he shook himself out of it and looked over at Heather.
"I ain't sure what- wow!" His eyes widened when he got a look at Heather's hair. "Whoa Blondie babe, you look hot!" Ian said looking at her again and blinked. He always thought that she was pretty, but she looked really damn good right now. "You going all out for Gavin huh?" He added with a chuckle and shook his head again so he could think straight. Dude screw the demons from Limbo, girls are gonna be the death of me, he thought and tried to get back to the original explanation.
"Well honestly I ain't sure. I was going to have Ivy check out my homework for me, cause I couldn't find her in the library so you know that means shes in her room," Ian looked back at Ivy's room across the hall and then back at Heather. "And I just heard some screaming and ran in. Lorelai and Liv were fighting, and I guess I stepped in." He didn't want to give all the details, that wasn't for him to say what he walked in on. "Just shit that wasn't cool, and she wrecked all of Liv's stuff. Not cool at all man." Ian shook his head sadly, though a look of disgust crossed his face.

Ah... so THAT'S Liv. She finally had a face to the person people said Gavin was flirting with. Well... Heather wasn't going to lie to herself... the girl was a looker. But that didn't make Heather feel any less confident about herself. She didn't feel threatened or intimidated by the new Paragon, just really confused with a lot of things. The fact that Lorelai sort of became a bully, at least in Heather's opinion, was a pretty serious thing. It looked like she was no better than Haven at this point and that was saying something. However the water manipulator wasn't one to judge people, or at least tried not to judge people. Keeping an open mind was the only way to not be so negative or hateful.
Heather acknowledged Tia earlier on and then focused her attention back to Veronika and Ian. She couldn't help but smile sheepishly and blush a bit. Compliments that that wasn't something she was use to. Sure she got plenty back at home. Heck she was one of the popular girls (who had a brain) and was asked out a lot by boys. But having someone literally be speechless, even for a second, was something she never expected. "Thanks," she replied with a roll of her eyes but with a big smile plastered on her face. She valued Ian's opinion especially since Gavin was his best friend. They usually had the same taste with practically EVERYTHING. This made Veronika's idea seem better and better.
The mood grew serious again very quickly and the New Mutant listened intently. "Wow," she said once Ian finished. "I just... can't believe... Lorelai..." She trailed off, unable to comprehend the truth about what had just happened. The ice girl was truly sent over the edge, and it scared Heather slightly. "I don't know what to say. I'm really sorry that you're going through this Ian... I mean, even I didn't get upset when she moved in knowing that I liked you." That was the first time she ever told him that she even had feelings for him. Unbeknown to her, he already knew thanks to a certain ice girl telling him. But Heather had come to terms with it long ago and stopped having those feelings soon after. Now she was focused on Gavin and their date tonight; anxious for it to be 6PM already.

Gently tapping on the door frame to make his presence known as he stopped there in the hall Kevin looked at the faces of Ian and Heather. "Hey. Hi Ian! What's up? You're never in here, what's the occasiOH! Oh wow, Heather your hair looks FANTASTIC!!" He let his eyes play on her features try as he might he couldn't pick anything out that was even the slightest bit off. Then he wondered why he was even bothering to be so catty.
"Sorry, couldn't help hearing you guys talking about -you know who- what's up with her?" His look went to Ian first even though it was Heather who he had heard saying her name as he walked up to the open door of his best friend's room only to find his other best friend there too. How cool, maybe the bunch of them could hang out, that would be great.
He had heard it before about Heather, from all the talks with Lorelai, how could he have forgotten that but it still took him as shocking to have heard it said out loud by Heather. "Wow, I don't mean to intrude in this but I always thought you two would make the most adorable couple. I mean just look at you both, but love is funny like that huh?"
A nervous chuckle escaped him, he felt so out of place since he had for some time thought Heather didn't like him and here he was talking to her. It was easy though, maybe because she was so incredible looking that it disarmed him and his defenses were down, that look she had going on was to die for.

"Heh, yea me and Blondie would be a hell of a pair. Lemme know when you're gonna smarten up and leave wing boy for me," Ian joked, nudging Heather gently. He always thought she was a looker, easily one of the prettiest girls in the school. Sometimes he wondered what it could have been like if Lorelai was never around, but not often. He wasn't the type to dwell on what might have been, but he thought about it once in awhile.
"Anyways, I better go find Ivy. Will ya tell Liv to wait up for me when she gets out and stuff? Imma take her to get that lip taken care of and chill for a bit," Ian said shifting his books in his arms. He felt really bad about what happened to all her stuff. It sucked when people got caught in the crossfire of all the drama and problems between others. "I'll see you later Blondie, check ya later Kevin." He waved to them before moving down the hall to knock on Ivy's door, praying that she was in so he could put all this homework stuff behind him.

"Goodbye Ian!" Veronika called from inside the room, having stayed in there after bringing Liv inside instead of joining Ian and Heather in the hallway. She instead settled herself at her vanity and touched up her makeup. She didn't need any of course, but she liked to wear to make herself look even more stunning and since she showered after the pool to get all that slick tanning oil off her, she was makeup free. "Hello Kevin, are you here to just spend some time with us, or to help Heather get ready?" She looked over at him with a raised eyebrow at the last question. Veronika was well aware of his lack of fondness for Heather, and found herself rather surprised that he stopped by since he knew that Veronika was spending the time to help Heather get ready.
Right now though, there were other things that slipped into her mind, more so concerning the new Paragon that was currently in her shower. Veronika was nothing if not strategic in her planning when it came to gaining people's trust and devotion. She needed to plan everything accordingly, and right now she had to think of the best way to appeal to her teammate. First off, she didn't think that Liv would appreciate having a complete stranger see her after the encounter with the Cold piece of trash with bad hair. She'd have to play this out and be smart about it, as the last thing she needed was to make her new teammate feel uncomfortable around her. The beginning was always a crucial time for bonds to be made with a teammate, it was the time when she could make them fall into her charms deeper than ever.
"Heather you should borrow my silver hoops, the one with that little wooden bead on them? They would give you that gorgeous beach bunny look even more," Veronika said painting a sheer pink lip gloss on her full pout. "I just need to talk about something else now, and I rather help you than waste words on that piece of trash. She is too low on the chain for me to waste words on, and at this point I may talk to Nightcrawler and have her taken off the team. She attacked two team members, actually three as Tia was in that group two. Pathetic." She rolled her eyes and smacked her lips to set the lip gloss.

Heather waved goodbye to Ian, wearing a small smile on her face. She too thought about what could have been, but like Ian, she too didn't really dwell much on it. She was over him completely and thought of him as a great friend. Plus if anything like that did happen in the future, she didn't really think she would be able to avoid Haven any more than she already wanted to.
Kevin joining the group wasn't exactly a great thing at the moment, but Heather wasn't going to complain. She appreciated Veronika sort of questioning his presence since he really had no reason to be in their room right now. But knowing Kevin, he probably wanted to just see his friend. Heather knew it wasn't to see her, since he had that certain vibe she caught from him whenever he was around. It wasn't Kevin being fake exactly, but she wasn't as close with him as she was with Veronika, Ana or even Tia.
"Thanks," she replied with a smile and then headed back to her vanity. She could hear the shower right now and didn't really hear much movement on Liv's part. And unless Liv was standing still during the entire cleaning process, Heather couldn't sense the water being splashed around as it normally would when someone took a shower. She refrained from sitting down and walked towards the bathroom. "I'm going to check on the new girl," she explained to Veronika before knocking on the door. "Hey.... Liv?" she said. "How you doing in there?" The current situation was pretty weird but nothing to get awkward over. However the fact that the girl Gavin seemed to be flirting with was now in her bathroom, would make certain girls really irritated. Thankfully, Heather wasn't "certain girls". Especially since Gavin wasn't officially her boyfriend. Still, she hoped he understood that dating someone meant seeing them and only them just to see if they were boyfriend/girlfriend material.
