Running up the stairs, Gavin shifted his jacket for the thousandth time. He hated putting his wings under his clothes, it was a real pain in the ass to have them tucked in like this, especially when he's been so used to letting them free. He'd live with it for a night since Heather asked him to and hey, he had nothing against some one on one time with a pretty girl. He even wore the good cologne his ex got him for his birthday, but he wasn't going to tell Heather that. Girls always got weird if a guy mentioned any chick they used to date, and he learned that lesson the hard way.
"Hey Heather! Bobby's waiting for us out front, and I'm thinking we'll grab some chow first before the-" Gavin stopped mid shout when he walked past Kevin and through the open door. His eyes were wide as saucers as he looked at a very, well very dressed up and... hot Heather. She had always been pretty, that was no secret, but right then she looked damn hot. "Uh... wow," he said dumbly still looking at her. "You look... damn." He stared for a minute longer and then shook himself out of it. "You look great! You um, ready to go?" Gavin grinned at her and then looked around at all the others in the room.
"Sup guys? Did I interrupt some 'girly time'?" The last part he said using a high and mocking voice. He looked at the clock and cringed when he saw the time, feeling a little bad now. "Sorry I'm late, it's not easy to hide fourteen foot wings under clothes," he said sheepishly with a guilty smile. "Forgive me?"
