"No, Scott!" Emma said firmly as she stepped to the edge of the atrium deck extending out from Xavier's old office. Their talk had been hours long, ranging through topics varied and deep. Not all about the students, nor about their relationship, nor the end of the world but a smattering of all of those topics.. and Rogue with her newfound responsibility.
"I don't think it's fair, but it doesn't have any bearing on the point. Fair is something we can't afford here sometimes, you've said that same thing to me many times yourself." She leaned on the handrail as her mind, occupied with so much lately, took stock of all the goings on in the mansion and surrounding grounds.
"Oh hell. We have bigger issues now. I'm sorry but haven't we been over these same points time and time again? I can't waste any more time on this conversation. I love you but right now I have a Paragon Ice Princess to thaw, new students arriving, a dog and a cat to inspect, and a Hellion to punish. Not to mention our friend from Avalon that you better say hi to." She had seen Scott's head jerk skyward at Dane's approach and noted his confusion at the visit. Wondering herself about the visit she decided to leave that to the Headmaster.

Running the school and administrating the goins on with so many little tedious concerns was rough enough he could only imagine, let alone having the bigger issues that came up so often. Too often in Scott's opinion. He was thankful that he didn't have quite the burden since he was responsible for the X-Men and their field missions. It was how they split the duties of Professor Xavier, and sometimes he couldn't help but wonder how the man did it all and kept his sanity.
"Look, I know what you're saying, you are more stubborn than a Skrull sometimes. I just don't think she's ready and I'm firm on that point! I don't think we're there just yet, lets see what the others do before we split them all up alright? Alright!?!" He was quite adamant that she see things his way, he too could be more stubborn than a Skrull when the need arose. In fact as often as it did he was the one with the reputation for being stubborn.
"Fine, I'll say hi, to the Knight and the new students too, and be the gracious host, but those damn Paragon kids better stay out of the beer. How can we entertain ADULT COMPANY without Adult Beverages? Aaand I'll look at the animals Pete picked up when I take Dane to the Stables." He turned and walked off, muttering something under his breath about needing to have a serious talk with Kurt about his little drunkards.
