Ricki hurried forwards, narrowly dodging the New Mutant couple as she came prancing into the room in a baby blue summer dress that was just about the same colour as her eyes and matching high heeled sandals. Ricki hated being late to lessons, and she doubted she had in fact ever been late to a lesson before- she wasn't exactly the geeky-est student around, but she liked to maintain a good reputation with the teachers and be as less of a nuisance as possible. She almost froze as she walked in through the doors, caught completely off guard by the amazing scenery. She'd been to Paris with Lizzie and Jess before for fashion week, and in all honesty, Ricki felt like she was back in the romantic city. Gavin had mentioned that French looked like it was going to be awesome... but Ricki was not expecting this.
Once she snapped out of her initial amazement at the sight of the beautifully decorated room, her eyes glided towards Shan, who herself looked just as amazing as the room did. "Vous avez fait un travail formidable, mademoiselle!" Ricki trilled in as precise of a French accent as she could manage. "Tout est trés magnifique!" she added smiling brightly at Shan. "This room could almost certainly pass for the real deal Shan! It's absolutely amazing!" Ricki giggled a little at her words, thinking that Shan deserved recognition for the massive amounts of hard work that she probably put into getting this room to look as amazing as it did. "Oh- hey Torri! Aww! You look so sweet in a beret! Hey Kev! You look dashing too." she grinned at the duo who were sitting together, finding it a little strange that Torri was sat besides Kevin, but not really thinking too much on it.
It was nice that Torri was talking to others and making an effort to socialize. It made Ricki happy. Her eyes glided over to find Ivy sat besides Leah, which only added to Ricki's happy feeling, considering it felt good to see Leah taking the initiative to talk to people, and it seemed like she liked Ivy quite a bit- mind you, how someone could not like Ivy was beyond Ricki. Sure she was quite reserved, but she never really did anything to be much of a menace which was always a good thing. Couldn't hurt Leah nor Ivy to make friends, right? Her eyes next slid over to Gavin and she tried to put a slight annoyed face but couldn't really maintain it.
Ricki was just one of those people who couldn't really not smile no matter the situation. He looked really handsome in such a classic look, but Ricki stopped her thoughts in their tracks as she glided over to sit herself besides Gavin. "I said I'd only be a few minutes! First you raincheck on our elopement plans and then leave me all alone to walk to class?" Ricki shook her head in mock disappointment, "You just know how to break a girl's heart, Croft." Ricki couldn't help but break out into a smile, her eyes then falling over on Tia, who she had honestly never spoken much before to, but it seemed like Gavin had been speaking to her before she'd entered.
"Hey Tia!" Ricki added, greeting the younger paragon with another one of her cheery smiles. It sort of creeped Ricki out how someone so young could just be so... indifferent, but maybe that was just towards people she didn't know well. "And hey Ian! - Veronika!" Ricki smiled at the duo who sat close by. Ricki'd never had anything against Veronika either. She didn't really speak to the Paragon much, but Veronika'd never really been anything but polite to Ricki, and she just seemed like such a sweetheart.

Kris looked ridiculously at the cute curly haired boy, his face falling into a pout, again refusing to believe anything until he saw pr- No.. no.. no! Kris' eyes all but popped out of their sockets as his eyes fell on his Best Friend who was standing by the doorway with her new supposedly hot boyfriend. Kris knew Ana well enough to know that she wouldn't ever kiss anyone unless she was ready to have a relationship- however minor- with them. But that wasn't quite what was running through Kris' head right now. All the rumours seemed to be completely and utterly irrelevant to Kris- he didn't care if Ana was smooching this guy in the Hallway...
"... ANA EQUILNAIIR!" Kris shrieked across the room, the world's most disaster-struck look on his face as he jumped out of his seat and marched (gracefully, ofcourse) over to Ana, his eyes fixed on... "YOUR hair!" Kris looked heartbroken as his eye'd up Ana's now rather messy hair. His eyes falling down on some of his perfect curls, which had been great until this morning when Ana'd gone to Tech class... but were now hanging a little more lose! This was not happening! He didn't care how hot Jax was- it just... it did not give him the right to mess Ana's hair up like that! Not when Kris had worked so hard on it the night before!
"No! Oh Ana, how could you? Oh..." he looked helplessly at Ana's before his eyes fell rather sharply on Jax. "You! You're the culprit!" Kris narrowed his eyes at Jax, grabbing Ana's hand and pulling her towards him. "I don't care how hot you are, you are not entitled to messing Ana's hair up like that! Not when I spent so long making it look as perfect as it did! Understand?!" Kris huffed at Jax, pressing his lips together. "Now, I think you should leave. You do not seem like the types to do French, you're more the Spanish types, are you not?" Kris had such a thundering look on his face, his voice almost daring Jax to challenge his assumption. "Well, either way, I do not care, you are not staying for this lesson! No, no! Not after you have messed up my Ana's hair like that! Now shoo! Shoo!" he huffed, pulling Ana with him without giving her a chance to say anything or Jax to go against him as he pulled her down on the seat besides him.
"Your HAIR! Oh! Ana! Why!" Kris sighed, looking so immensely crestfallen. "Hmph. Well, I will fix it back for you tonight! There's nothing else to it, I suppose." he shook his head, sighing deeply. "Now tell me, how did you and jackass-hottie happen to be?!"

A feast for the eyes is what Romon was finding this class to be as he sat down at one of empty tables and observed everyone. Veronika seemed to shine above everyone in beauty, and he found himself glancing at her more than a few times just to admire her, he couldn't help himself. When Ana came in, a full blown grin came across Romon's face. He wasn't the type to move in on another guy's girlfriend, but she had been really sweet, and very easy on the eyes. Romon's sister would laugh at him and call him a pro athlete in the making because the tall, leggy models were always the ones that caught his eye, but that's just how he was. Ana was just stunning, and it was absolutely impossible for him to not look at her.
He smiled when he caught her eye and waved her over, pointing to the seat next to him. She did seem really cool, and he wanted to get to know her better, if at least as friends. As far as he saw, the people at the school seemed pretty cool, at least the ones he met at lunch. Gavin and Ian seemed really cool, and he smiled over at Ricki when she came in. Those that he met on his team so far he liked, and felt good about his placement.
However, there was no denying it, Romon's favorite part of the school was definitely the girls. There were too many attractive gorgeous girls for him to fathom almost, but he'll deal.

Tia's face held no expression what so ever as she stared down at StormHawk, unable to hold back a roll of her eye. "I almost feel insulted," she stated blandly at the Acolyte, however a slight note of sarcasm was detectable in her tone. She raised a single eyebrow in his direction, crossing her arms smartly across her chest. "I wouldn't ever have thought I came across as someone who'd be willing to be someone's date just for a few hours." she said with a slight shake of head and bemused look, although her lips twitched into what could've been a weak smile before she turned to face a boy who she'd seen during Lunch but knew not much about.
"Do you mind if I take this seat?" she asked, attempting to hold a note of politeness in her tone. Tia had been standing ever since she came in, and turns out that before she got a chance to take a seat, the class had been swamped with students, and there were no more empty tables left. The only places where she could in fact take a seat were either right here- next to this Jamaican-looking boy or besides another curly haired boy who Tia's been made aware earlier to be another Paragon. Tia wasn't really thrilled with either of the choices, but she made do with the most convenient one. One could hardly complain when there wasn't much option left. While turning, Tia had caught the boy staring at Ana, which had him receive one of her infamous eye rolls.
It seems like Ana was attracting more attention from boys than she ever had at her time at this school before. Tia didn't quite have any particular mindset on the situation, however she was simply hoping that these admirers kept their need to impress her on the low. Tia could do without having to stare at Teddy Bears and Red Roses with Mushy Cards being stacked away in her room. Ana was stunning, and Tia could only imagine the lengths boys would go to, in order to impress her friend. "She may be stunning," Tia declared blankly, her voice monotonous as she stared at the Jamaican boy with an indifferent look on her face. "But she may also, be a lot more trouble than you'd think." Tia shrugged, feeling it sensible to pre-warn this boy about what he was getting into. Tia was not someone who knew a lot when it came to relationships, but she'd seen that look this boy held in his eyes in the eyes of countless other boys when she was with Ana. Except by the looks of things, his eyes held a lot more intensity than most other people's did. She pushed the thought away, not really wanting to think too much more on the subject, waiting for a go-ahead to take the seat.

With her quiet observation broken, Ivy put on a small smile when Kevin had left Katana at her table. She wasn't expecting that to happen, since even Kevin now had better things to do hanging with the extra-beautiful people. Pity was probably taken on her sitting alone, so who better to stick her with than Katana? Ivy knew she wasn't exactly the most well-liked, and she guessed it wasn't so bad as Katana was actually trying to make friends. It was better than nothing, since she had seen Ian and then Ricki come in and hover around Veronika's table and stay there.
"Hey, Leah. I mean, uh, bonjour," she said with a small laugh as she tried to remember to speak French as the class called for it. "I saw you hand in your work, I hope you get a good grade on it," she said, to be both nice and make small conversation. She didn't exactly know what to say to her, so she picked what she thought was the safest thing to say. "The room is really pretty. I know we had to dress up, but wow, some people really dressed up," she said, glancing over at the beautiful people and their nice dress. Even Ricki had dressed up a little for the class, and Ivy suddenly felt very out of place. She might have picked something nice and modest looking to wear for the class, but she knew she'd still be beyond understated, so there she was in her oversized hoodie and jeans- the same thing she'd worn earlier that morning. She glanced again at Ricki, and then over at Ian.
They looked like they were having such a good time already just saying their hellos and settling into class. She wished she weren't afraid to be like that, but how could she ever just walk up to the most popular people in school and say hi? She wasn't anybody, and she wouldn't fit in even if she had the social skills. She didn't have the pretty clothes like that; the most she had was just a simple sleeveless dress that she nearly didn't bring with her because so much of her skin would be exposed. She envied them all, but there was nothing she could do. She wasn't like them and she never would be, so she would just settle with what she had. And at that moment, it was Katana sitting with her, no one else. She gave a last lingering glance at the best friend she felt she was starting to lose, and then Ian, before turning back to Katana. "At least I'm not the only one who didn't dress up so I guess that's not too bad," she said, giving her a small smile as she knit her fingers together on the table.

"S'installent tout le monde!" Shan called to her class and clapped her hands, signalling the class to look at her. "Jax, as lovely as Ana is, you will have to peel your eyes away and look at her later. We are about to begin." She giggled at the obviously lovestruck boy and waved him off, shaking her head at Ana with an amused smile on her face. Shan always thought that the couples here were adorable and amusing, well most of them anyways, and this looked like a beginning for a huge headache for Kitty and Riker.
"Ana you may go change quickly as I explain what we will do today. Today class, we will have a grand lunch provided by an authentic French restaurant! Your waiter will be.... psssttt Bobby! You're on!" She whispered the last part and giggled as she watched her friend stumble from the back of the 'restaurant', wearing the uniform of a waiter in a fancy restaurant, black vest, small white apron and towel slung over his arm for the perfect effect. "Monsieur Robert Drake!"
"You will make a lunch order in French, and it will be a starter, soup, an entrée, and last but certainly not least, dessert! And then after we eat, we will have some good proper dancing to the lovely music!" Shan gestured for Bobby to begin handing out the menus that were all in French and take the orders. "Dor, come over here! You get to be my date today mon ami!" she said with a wink to the tall curly haired Paragon and gestured for him to sit with her. They all wine glasses in front of them along with a cloth napkin and proper silverware, as well as a water bowl to clean their hands with.
She tapped her fingers on the table to the music, smiling and in a good mood. "Well how's this for your first French class here Monsieur Jameson?" Shan asked reaching her gloved hand into her bag and pulling out a cloth lace fan to fan herself as the music played lightly in the air and Bobby gave out the menu and took orders from the students. She was so happy to do something fun for her students, even those that looked like they wanted to be anywhere but here, but she told them that today's class wasn't mandatory. It made her sigh in disappointment as she looked at the lack of excitement that Katana and Nightshade displayed in her hard work, and a part of her hoped they wouldn't ruin the image that she worked hard for everyone to receive.

"Oh my lord," she whispered with a loud giggle. Seeing the Iceman dressed as he was was more than humorous to the former Acolyte. "Kevin do you see this?!?" Torri bursted into tiny giggles and tried to contain herself as much as possible. She wasn't laughing really at Bobby's appearance, since he actually looked very well put together. But she loved how great of a person and teacher he was. Out of all the X-Men, Bobby was definitely the one who was a child at heart; and to the Scottish Alpha, it was just too great and awesome.
Torri collected herself and clapped her hands with glee. "This is going to be so much fun," she said to the Acolytes around her. Seeing Ian and Gavin with their "dates", she wondered why Heather wasn't sitting next to the winged rock star. "Hey Gavin," she whispered hoping that Shan wouldn't notice. "Where's Heather?" Torri saw her at lunch and noticed that she and Gavin weren't exactly engaged as they usually were. But it was hard for the Alpha to believe that something went wrong. In her eyes, they seemed pretty good together. Of course, not all relationships were as they seemed.
"Oh hi Ricki!! Hi Ivy," she waved at them quickly before looking forward again. She didn't want them to think she was ignoring them and she was just so excited by how awesome French class was going to be today. Luckily, she did well enough on the midterm to not scold herself for being a failure.

"Alright uh, Bonjoor Madow-mo-zelles and Mon-sewers," Bobby said in a proper voice though with such horrible pronunciation that it would make anyone laugh at him. "Here are, your menus for the day. The 'luh plah doo zhoor' is uh.. well everything is the special I guess." He went around and handed everyone the authentic looking menus that the restaurant lent them with everything written in French. The room in the back where books and movies were usually stored was cleared out for hot metal trays of enough food to feed the whole school. Pete moved a refrigerator in there to keep the salads and desserts cold, but everything else was being manned by himself with the cooking and all that, since that was the one thing he knew that he could handle and he wanted to help Shan out.
"May I recommend the Black Pudding with Apples? Sooo good man," he said to several of the tables. He didn't want to take away from the experiences, so he went from table to table and took orders from all of them one by one. It was easy for him to serve up the dishes and just bring them out. After he took the orders though, he right away went around and offered to pour 'wine' for all of them from glass wine jugs and everything. They had a choice between white 'wine', red 'wine', and 'champagne' that were actually grape juice, white grape juice, and sparkling cider. Bobby loved watching the looks on the kids faces when they were presented with the choices. and could hardly wait for them to try some of the old style authentic French food.

"Well Ian, it appears you will have the honor of having the first dance with me after we eat as well," Veronika said with a coy smile as she crossed her legs and looked at the menu. When Bobby arrived at their table, giving him an enchanting smile. "Hm.. I will start with the Pate de Foie Gras aux Truffes and then for soup I will take the Soupe au Potiron, S'il vous plaît and for entrée.." She studied the menu with a cute expression on her sweet and enticing face as she put a petite finger to her lips to decide. "I will have the Friands Foie Gras with a small Salade de Tomates et Fromage on the side S'il vous plaît. For dessert, Le Clafouti of course I do love cherries." Veronika beamed up at Bobby and looked over at Ian.
"I warn you Ian the portions are rather small, so you may want to order a little extra," she said with a giggle to her 'date' as she looked at the drinks that Bobby offered them. "Vin blanc s'il vous plaît." Veronika pointed to the white wine and looked back at Ian with sweet smile. Why someone as handsome with his sweet nature was with someone like Haven was beyond her, but right now she had him all to herself and she could charm him to any degree she liked, with his trusting mind and already high opinion of her.
"It is wonderful yes? Oh Ian do tell me that you can dance even a little?" She asked with a hopeful smile, really looking forward to feeling like she was back on the French Riviera and dancing in the arms of a handsome man. "I just love dancing, it makes me feel so free, and in this place it feel so romantic." Veronika gave a sweet sigh and took a sip of her wine, batting her eyelashes at Ian over the rim of the glass.

Leah looked over her menu and tried to figure out what would be the easiest thing to order. While Hardlight had helped her sort of hide her lack of preparedness by lending her his beret, nobody could lend her the practice necessary to not look like a fool when she tried to order. It was real nice. she thought. Maybe Haven told him to look out for me. She'd never gotten along well with Hardlight, having given him good reason to hate her given how nasty she'd been to his friend Veronica and the incident at the party for those returning from Limbo, and had been too surprised when he took her hand to say anything.
All she'd done was mumble a quiet thanks and given him a grateful look before he went off to talk to Torri. She wasn't even sure he'd seen it. Or maybe he's just nice and I've been too bitchy to notice. She'd have to thank him properly later. Honestly, once he'd left her attention had turned to Ivy and that fluttering feeling she got when the other girl talked to her. She'd managed a "bonjour" and a "merci" when Ivy wished her luck on her grades, but beyond that had mostly smiled and nodded. When Karma started the class she'd been grateful at being saved from having to speak as words just had not been forthcoming.
"Qu'est ce que parait bon a vous?," Katana asked Ivy. "Uh, I think I just asked what looks good to you." Leah was thinking the 'soup a l'oignon' simply because she could sort of pronounce that, although if she was reading it correctly the 'epinards et concombres a la Grecque' was more along the lines of what she wanted. She liked Greek salad especially with cucumbers, even if she had no idea what 'epinards' were. She ordered in her halting French but decided that when it came to an entree she'd cross that bridge when she came to it. Maybe I'll just order whatever Ivy gets.

"Oh wow babe, thanks for telling me, I held back on food today too," Ian said with wide eyes and looked over the menu again, his pocket French to English dictionary out as he looked up all the words that he didn't know. He loved that he got the dictionary dedicated specifically to food so it made life way easier for him. "Um alright I'll get the... uh Lotte a L'imperatrice, sorry Bobby man, my accent sucks just get me this one right here, and that Black pudding with apples to start." He pointed out what he wanted on the menu so Bobby would understand. He knew that his accent and pronunciation was pretty damn crappy, but at least he could read it alright. "And uh for soup lemme get the 'Garbure' and the 'Salade Perigourdine'. For entrées lemme get the 'Pot au Feu' and the 'Civet de Cerf'.... and oh yea uh dessert I want... the 'La galette des Rois' and the 'Creme Brulee'!" Ian said looking satisfied with his choices.
"Oh yea and uh.. Vin Rouge Si voo play," he said in his horrible French and gave Bobby a thumbs up sign when he poured him a glass. "Sweet! It's grape juice!" Ian grinned widely and held up his glass to Veronika for a toast. "A toast babe, to uh, our first lunch date!" They clinked glasses and he smiled as he took a sip. "Aw don't worry babe, I ain't a bad dancer. I won't do some of the crazy stuff that others will, but I can twirl ya around, keep rhythm and not step on your feet," he assured her with a smile. When the song changed to Glenn Miller's 'Moonlight Serenade', Ian stood up and offered his hand to Veronika with a grin on his face.
"C'mon, I'll show ya while we wait for the food. May I have this dance Mademoiselle?" He said with a grin and took her hand to help her out of her seat and lead the petite red head to the middle of the large space that was in the center of all the table, obviously meant to be a dance floor. Ian held on to Veronika's hand and put an arm around her tiny waist, grateful that she was wearing heels so there wasn't so much of a height difference. He swayed with her to the music and moved around the dance floor in a decent rhythm, holding the sweet redhead close to him before he pushed her out and twirled her. He had to grin at the look of delight on her face as she let him lead. Ian was by no means a savvy or excellent dancer, but he had rhythm and could dance without stepping on a girl's toes. That's all he really needed to wing it, and he liked the smile that it earned from Veronika as they moved to the tune of Glenn Miller.

"Oh, wow let's see this." Kevin said smiling up at Bobby and glancing up and down at the menu. Not that Bobby would have cared, and just because he was feeling like he'd been cast in the role of Torri's quote unquote date he explained "Ahh ha! Mmm. Well heres the thing- in France they don't have a lunch. There's breakfast, dinner, and then supper. So, this looks like it's technically a dinner menu, with more salads than a supper menu would have. You see if it was supper that's really only soups and hot food, nothing cold."
"Um I can order for you if you like?" He offered for Torri, but then thought he might be overdoing it and it was a class after all so he thought better of it. "No, no I guess Madame Karma would frown upon that, but I see some things that look divine. So at the risk of being rude and breaking the cardinal rule of ladies first?" His grin was disarming and he batted his eyes up at Bobby, and looked at Torri who seemed like she might need a little more time.
"For an apéritif? Champignons à la Greque.. because mmMMmm mushrooms, and the salads are they tiny? Because I can't decide. Um, ok why not both Salade de Betteraves and a Salade d’Haricots Verts, we can share if you like beets or green beans." He said leaning over to Torri "You know in case they are kinda big or whatever." He shrugged and then decided on "Rôti de Porc aux Pruneaux for my main course and I gotta try a Tarte à la Rhubarbe for dessert." He was excited about the bacon wrapped pork loin with prune and vinegar stuffing and the Rhubarb tart was too weird not to try.
"Oh this is stupéfiant to my mind and my tastebubs are dancing like- like-" he glanced to the dance floor and saw Ian and Veronika swaying to the song "-like THAT! Oh wow!" They looked adorable and he never knew Ian to be so graceful, but then again Veronika brought out the best in people somehow. "Let me know if you want to join them, I'm not a great lead, but just for fun why not, right?"

"Wait, wait, I ready!" Ana said breathlessly trotting into the classroom after going to get changed into the outfit that Tia brought with her. If her 'transformation' from disheveled mess to what she was now didn't prove that she had been training to be a model, nothing would. Gone was the messy hair as it piled up on top of her head in neat curls and her slim body now adorned in a designer light blue Chanel dress from the latest spring line and her feet clad in light silver Giuseppe Zanotti heels. Her makeup was flawlessly put on in a matter of seconds with her light pink lip gloss and another coat of mascara that made her eyes POP. "What do you think Kris, not so bad now yes?" Ana asked twirling for him with a giggle The big grin on Ana's face was almost infectious in how much of a good mood she was in, especially in comparison to how insecure she'd been feeling the last few day. Her eyes sparkled like the prettiest of crystals as she looked at Kris, feeling very proud of herself. "Oh Kris look no need for fussing no more, I look wonderful and you can do my hair how you please for tomorrow. Oh yes, they moved my photo shoot to Wednesday, but we will be there from very early till very late!" She told her best friend excitedly before Bobby came over to them. "Bobby! You look handsome!" Ana said with a giggle to the handsome teacher. She was usually never so bubbly and happy, but she couldn't help herself. "Oh I will start yes?" Her eyes scanned the menu easily as she looked at the delicious meals. "No starter for me please, but I have Bisque de Crevettes for soup and entrée will be Confit de Canard and oh! I will even have a dessert." Ana giggled at the shocked looks on both Kris's and Bobby's faces, since she NEVER ate dessert. " Gateau aux Noix, S'il vous plaît, she said before handing Bobby back the menu and putting a finger to her lips as she looked at the choices of drink. "Champagne S'il vous plaît... Merci." She raised her the sparkling cider to her lips and took a sip, her eyes widening as she expected it to be actual champagne, but Americans were strange in that regard. "Oh I do love Glenn Miller! We must dance too when you order yes? Oh I do miss Paris!" Ana had gone to boarding school there originally and she just loved it in every sense that was possible. She was fluent in French and could read and write fairly well. She was learning Italian now too, as she wanted to know all the languages of the Fashion Capitals of the World. Ana swayed to the music in her seat and closed her eyes, happier than she had been in awhile. Maybe it was the reminder of Paris, her favorite place in the world, or maybe it was because she didn't have too much of that nagging insecurity stabbing her mind, but she couldn't stop smiling for once.

Dor examined his fingernails and snorted, a bored expression on his face. He’d over heard the girls at the other table order and the scruffy one sounded like an utter dipshit. He glanced over, unimpressed, his head shaking slightly. He didn’t need to speak to the girl’s grubby clothes to know she lacked class. Who the hell ordered a Greek salad off a French menu. “Yeah, why don’t you get a Big Mac and a bucket of extra crispy while you’re at it? Why part of FRENCH class got past you?” His tone was light, but he looked over Katana with utter disdain. “Crétin.”
When Iceman got to him, the languid southerner saluted lazily, his warm brown eyes crinkled in amusement. “Merci, monsieur,” he said smoothly, his own drawl making the words sound distinctly not French. “Ah didn’t right listen when Karma tol’ us not to eat at lunch. So, uh…” Dor checked his menu again. “Puis-je avoir les escargots dans le beurre ?” Just to make sure the X-man caught everything he said. “Snails, bro. Nasty to think about, but they taste amazin in garlic and butter.” His dark eyes scanned the menu again. “Et donnez-moi juste le truc blanc.” He gestured to his glass and accepted the ‘white whine’ that Bobby gave him, nodding appreciatively. “Remerciements de nouveau.”
As Iceman moved away from him, Dor found himself staring around the room, his foot tapping to the rhythm of the big band music. He smirked at the doofy giant dancing with Veronika. That had been a smooth move on his part. The stunning little redhead was mesmerizing and Dor grinned. He’d have to see if he couldn’t convince her to dance with him later. His leisurely gaze drifted to the leggy girl that had been sucking face with Chande that morning. She was absolutely dazzling, but Dor knew a high maintenance woman when he saw one. He simply shot her a smile, fingers tapping on the table. Knock that off kid, you’re loosening my bolts. Dor scoffed and took his hands from the table. The room looked fantastic, the music was catchy, and the food smelled like the real thing. Shan had clearly put a lot of effort into everything and yet she was just standing in the corner looking like a French goddess, observing her students. Well, Dor’s father had raised him to be a gentleman…
Standing up, he straightened his sleeves and approached Karma, smartening himself up before he spoke to the lady. Flashing a rakish smile, Dor gave her a curt bow before extending his hand. “Puis-je avoir cette danse ?”

"Listen up pal and listen good," Gavin said leaning forward and adjusting his hat as he changed his persona from the French guy to a his Humphrey Bogart from the 1940s kind of things, winking at Ricki discreetly before looking up at Iceman. "You're gonna get us your best champagne see, and you're gonna get this little lady anything she wants, and you're gonna do it with a smile, and you're gonna like it. Understand?" He had already ordered some of that Black Pudding with Apples, Lobster Bisque, Emincé de Volaille sauce Roquefort - Pommes de terre sautées, or some chicken dish that he thought looked amazing, and for dessert some Profiteroles au Chocolat, or Chocolate puffy pastries. Right now, his foot was tapping to Glenn Miller and as soon as Ricki was finished ordering her food, he stood up and took her hand, pulling her to her feet and up to him with a big grin on his face.
"Now listen here little lady! You look amazing see, so I'm gonna show ya how to shake a leg see, and you're gonna like it," Gavin said with the same Humphrey Bogart accent as he pulled Ricki out on the dance floor, arm tight around her waist and leaning his head against hers as he moved her across the floor in a perfect sequence. The two passions in Gavin's life was his music and acting, and with the acting came a desire to play every part expertly, hence how he knew to dance ballroom and swing style, among others. He learned it when he turned thirteen, and he loved it. It was just another role to play as the timeless guy to sweep a girl off her feet on the dance floor. Gavin didn't really have to do that with Ricki, since the two had fun naturally, but man he loved the look on her face when he pulled her out just for a moment to spin her gracefully before pulling her back into the same position.
He grinned at her as he lead them around the dance floor. "You look great Ricki, who woulda thought there was a lady in the making under all that? And here I still remember you covered in dirt and about to be tossed in the lake to get clean!" He laughed softly and sighed, squeezing her waist slightly as he moved them to the music. "Hey uh, thanks by the way for today. You're a good distraction," Gavin said softly and sighed contently as they moved across the dance floor, his dark wings positioned so they'd be out of the way as they passed others dancing.
