It was like Lily was in heaven. Giant waffles sat in front of her on a large plate, making her look smaller than she already was. It seemed like someone had made her the biggest waffles possible, slathered butter and syrup over them all, and then given the little fairy a fork and knife.
They stood so tall that she had to look up to see the top waffle, so she rose out of her seat, giggling excitedly. As she looked around the room she was in, it seemed to be magical, differently shaped waffles floating around a pink and green checkered background with little single servings of butter and globs of syrup peppering the area. It was one of the bestest things Lily could even imagine.
At the top of her stack of waffles, she started cutting into the first, cutting herself off a small, lopsided bite and stuffing it into her mouth. The happiest look came on her face as she chewed it, unable to help giggling again and twirling around in the air in happiness. Whoever had made them was the absolutely most greatest cook in the world.
She kept herself happy and busy cutting herself more pieces of waffle, although she knew she could never finish the tall stack of giant waffles even if she tried. Regardless, she would enjoy them completely, and occasionally stopped to take a sip out of a thin straw that stuck out of a giant glass of milk. A girl needed her milk, you know.
Lily couldn't be happier, so she ate to her heart's content of the buttery, syrupy waffles, until she felt a rumbly in her tumbly.........
Her big blue eyes opened at the sound of her stomach rumbling, actually empty instead of stuffed like it had been in that wonderful dream. She blinked for a moment, realizing that wonderful place she'd been in was only a dream, and now it had made her hungry. As she took a second to shake it off, she turned onto her side to face Jenny's bed.
"Jenny," she whispered, slightly slurred as they were her first words of the morning after a good night's sleep, "Jenny, wakey up. What do you thinks of waffles for breakfast? I wants waffles," she whispered, waving a tiny arm as if it would help get the sleeping Jenny's attention better. Waffles for breakfast would be awesome.
