Lorelai had heard about the observation tower and how it offered a pretty view, and had been, for a time, wanting to check it out. She figured now as a good time as any, and hell, why not check it out with Ian? She had lead him around the school till she found it with more ease than she thought she would, which was good since she hadn't ever been there.
Reaching the top ot the tower where there were windows everywhere so that they could see the whole panoramic view of the area, Lorelai smiled, deciding she liked it already. "Wanted to go somewhere new this time. I like it," she said as she let go of his hand to head toward one window and lean on the sill. The window she picked gave her a good view of the grounds behind the school, the basketball courts and the pool and things. "It all looks so pretty from up here," she said, turning her head to look at him with a smile. She was feeling more relaxed already, just being able to look out at everything from a quiet area and being able to spend alone time with her boyfriend.

After being dragged by his very determined girlfirend all over the school until they got to what he thought was the Observation tower. When Ian looked out the window and saw how high up they were, he was sure that that's where Lorelai had taken hium. It was nice to have some alone time with her since that practice seemed to have dragged on and on and on, Hardlights's little mistake not helping at all.
Ian slipped his arms around Lorelai's waist and pulled her to him. He leaned her back against the cold window and towered over her, leaning his forehead against hers. "What's up with you Pipsqueek?" he asked with a small smile as he hugged her to him.

Lorelai smiled as Ian took her waist and towered over her, not minding that her view of outside was partially obscured; the one that replaced it was much better. She felt his warm forehead lean against her cold one and looked up at him as he spoke. "Dunno," she said, letting her arms wrap around his middle as she continued on, "I wanted to get out of the kitchen and I'm glad practice let out too. Too long and too infuriating for my taste, even though I admit I was on edge to begin with," she answered.
She leaned into him as she spoke again. "And what about you, what's up with you?" she asked, continuing to look up at him with a warm smile.

Leaning down more, Ian placed his lips softly on her, kissing her gently as his hand rubbed her cold back. He closed his eyes and kissed her for a long time, missing the closeness but liking it very much. "Just got lots of stuff on my mind. Practice coulda been more chill though," Ian mumbled against her lips.
He did have a lot on his mind though. The whole story with the battle was bothering him, particularly that he didn't know the whole story. Plus Heather seemed mad at him and that bummed him out. And of course Spitfire looking like someone broke her heart.
Ian siged and just cradled Lorelai to him. At least he was sure about her. And for now thats all that matter.

Lorelai still smiled even as Ian leaned down and softly kissed her, feeling his hand rub her back. her eyes closed as she returned the kiss happily and thoroughly, pressing herself closer into him as she kissed him. She was glad they could be this close again without having to worry about what others might say since they were out of sight, out of mind.
Hearing him mumble against her lips, she giggled a little and then gently pulled away. "Do you want to talk about it?" she asked, feeling concerned that things were bothering him. She moved her arms so that they went round his neck as she smiled a little at him as he cradled her.

Ian thought for a moment if he should or not. Well, first and foremost Lorelai was pretty much his best friend here. And they've been able to talk about stuff before all the time. Why should it be any different now that they were in a relationship? It shouldn't be. If anything, it should make it even easier for them to talk about stuff. Ian knew for a fact that he would always listen to whatever was on Lorelai's mind and help her in any way he could, that's what a friend and a boyfriend was supposed to do. He knew she would so the same for him.
Ian sighed and rested his chin on top of her head. "I dunno babe, I mean so much shit has gone down lately. You already know how worried I am about Spitfire. Haven't seen her all day either but they musta had practice since that Jumper dude was all sweaty and stuff. Plus you know how the whole battle story just doesn't add up and all. THen its like, on top of all that I got Heather over there mad at me or somethin'. I dunno what I did exactly. I guess I annoyed her somehow. But its kinda a bummer since she's my bud too," Ian said as he rubbed Lorelai's lower back.
This was really nice though, to be able to be alone with her and just talk. Even if they were both sweaty still from practice.

Lorelai looked up at him when he sighed and rested his chin on top of her head. She quietly listened to his musings as she pondered a way in which she could help him. She felt him rubbing her back and spoke when he finished, "Yeah, I know you're worried about her. Me too, and I bet you she did hold a practice. I still can't help but feel a little bad for them since she probably gave them a hell of a work out. And you're right, there is definitely something more to the story, but I don't think we're about to find out unless Aideen feels like speaking up, but honestly, she doesn't look like she's in a state to."
Upon hearing his uneasiness about Heather, she almost chuckled as she was again reminded of his obliviousness. It was one of the things she liked about him because that made him who he was, but she couldn't helping rolling her eyes when it came to it even though she thought it kind of cute. She sighed and moved her head so she could look up at him, a small smirk on her face. "Oh it's not you she's mad at. It's me," she said, scoffing a little. "I did tell you she liked you, and I bet you anything she hates me for being with you," she said, tilting her head a bit as she leaned back against the window a bit, still keeping her arms around his neck as a couple fingers played around with the hair at the nape of his neck. "I'm glad you told me, unless there's more. I'll always be here for you, you know," she said, looking up at him seriously albeit with a small reassuring smile.

What the hell? Since when did Heather like him? Why the hell did he not realize this? Ian broke a bit away from Lorelai and looked down at her utterly and completely confused. "Whoa, whoa, whoa back it up babe. What do you mean Heather likes me? She can barely stand to be around me. Whenever I tried to chill with her, she'd always split after a couple of minutes. And what did you do to her?" Ian asked confused and scratched his head. He didn't get it. In the past when a girl digged him, she would chill with him and they'd go out and just hang. Heather didn't seem like she thought anything more than him than maybe friends since she seemed to split if they chilled for more than fifteen minutes.
Ian kept his arms around his blue haired girlfriend's waist and looked out the window with his brow furrowed in confusion. "Chicks are confucing," he grumbled.

Lorelai let out a sigh as Ian looked completely dumbfounded. "I've told you this before, she likes you and you never believed me. She does like you. You may not notice it, but I do, and it's not you she can barely stand to be around. That would be me, my dear. And the reason she'd always split.. well maybe that was in annoyance if I'd come in the room or something. And I do nothing, really. From what I gather, just my presence is enough to make her leave. I don't know if I'm completely on spot here, but that's what I'm guessing. I'm also guessing this is a reason why I'm pretty damn sure she doesn't like me," she explained to the best of her ability.
She couldn't help but smile a bit as he grumbled about how girls are confusing. She reached up to pat his head for a second, and then laughed a little, "This is why I'm here to interpret girl-speak/action into Ian-speak," she joked lightly, still smiling a bit.

Ian grumbled some more under his breath before he turned them both around so he was against the window and Lorelai was able to see out of it. Girls were officially beyond weird. Why couldn't they just say stuff straight out? Lorelai told him straight out that she liked him as more than a bud and now they were together cause she actually said something. How the hell were guys in general supposed to know what a girl wanted them to know if they didn't say anything?!
Ian continued grumbling as he slid down to the floor with Lorelai still in his arms, bringing her down with him. "Babe, just promise me if you want me to know something or you have a problem or anything, just tell me and don't play guessing games with me, especially when I don't know there is supposed to be a game," Ian said as he wrapped his arms securely around her and leaned her against him.
Deciding to change the subject, Ian began snickering. "Did ya check out the new dude babe? Wonder who pissed on his pancakes to make him look so mad," he said thinking of the tall pissed off blond guy who looked holier than though. Come to think of it, him and Spitfire might like each other.

Lorelai made a little concerned half-smile as Ian kept grumbling. "Aww," she said, looking up at her flustered boyfriend as he turned her around so she could see out the window, but now that she could, she didn't. She looked at Ian instead, hearing him grumble as he slid down and took her with him. She felt his arms around her and felt him pull her close, and she gladly cuddled into him. Hearing him, she looked up at him and nodded, "Yeah, I promise. Besides, I should know better, shouldn't I? But yeah, I'll tell you if something's up," she answered, giving him a little smile and a kiss on the cheek in hopes he'd cheer up a bit.
Looking slightly confused as he began snickering, she then realized what he was talking about and nodded with a smirk, happy that the subject had been moved from the previous. "Yeah, he didn't seem too happy to be around us all," she agreed with a laugh, remembering the kid who seemed to think he was too good to eat with the rest of them let alone eat the same food as them. "He seems to hate everyone already and he hasn't even met any of us," she said. "Wonder what team he's on," she said as she leaned her head into the crook of Ian's neck, feeling very comfortable like that.

Ian snorted. "Probably the Paragons. They tend to have all the cocky and mean ones. Well I don't know about that Katana chick from the Med lab. She seemed kinda on the soft side. But that Jumper dude seems to think hes god's gift to us all and Aideen is just a ray of sunshine. That new guy looks like he'll fit right in with them. Hell I think he might even take a liking to Spitfire. Though she might be too hot for him to handle too," he said laughing at the puns that seemed to never end when he mentioned Aideen.
Ian leaned down and kissed the top of Lorelai's head before he relaxed with her in his arms. "Man it has been the craziest days of my life here. My crew back home will never believe the stuff that's happened here. Ha, Eric is gonna explode when he finds out. He'd like it here..." he trailed off thinking about his best friend from childhood. It was a bummer leaving him behind but they spoke often on the phone and exchanged emails. He needed to fill him in on all thats happened. And A LOT has happened.

Lorelai laughed and nodded, "Probably. He seems quite cocky and mean, but we could be wrong, but he seems a Paragon definitely. Katana? Ohh, the girl with the claws. And yeah, who knows, he might be 'mature' enough for her," she said laughing along with him at his puns, but remembering one of the reasons why Aideen didn't quite like Ian was because she said he wasn't so mature, she made sure she reassured him, "But that's ok, you're not immature, you're funny," she said with a big goofy smile.
She smiled as she felt him kiss her head and relax. "I know what you mean, it is quite crazy here, but turns out I like it enough," she said thoughtfully though smiling, and then heard that he still keeps in touch with his friends. "You keep in touch with your friends? They still like you?" she asked, looking up at him curiously. She was kind of surprised that his friends still liked him even though he was a mutant and everything.

Ian laughed loud when she mentioned Aideen's need for mature. "Nah it cool babe, Aideen may be a bombshell, but she's too intense and serious for me. Not much fun, but I can't help it, getting on her nerves and buggin' her is hilarious," he said still laughing. She really was fun to bother though he probably wouldn't be doing it to her for awhile. She didn't look like she was up for handling it and frankly he was actually scared that she might burn him alive. Healing Factor or not the pain was still evident.
He gave Lorelai an odd look when she asked about his friend. "Yea 'course I do. There are a lot of mutants in my area. They're pretty cool with it. My buddy Eric is convinced I would run into some chick that can make her chest grow howwever she wants. He wanted to go with me but well he ain't a mutant. In the ned he told me I better give that chick my number. But yea we're all pretty cool. You should meet them one day," Ian said looking down at her and grinned. He gathered that it wasn't the same with her friends, but screw them. They didn't deserve her if they didn't accept her.

Lorelai smirked and then snickered slightly as she remembered the great fun and amusement Ian got out of picking on Aideen, but she hoped for his sake that he didn't pull anything with her like the way she was now or he'd be roasted Apeman for sure, and that was something she definitely didn't prefer. She saw the odd look he gave her and gave him a little smile as he talked about his friends, happy that he at least had not lost his since he became a mutant, whereas she was no so fortunate. She laughed at his friend Eric's idea of a power and shook her head; boys were so typical.
"They sound cool and fun to hang out with," she replied, looking at him and returning his grin, but it faded as she looked to the floor when she thought of her former friends. "You got lucky then," she said quietly, "My best friend became terrified of me when my...mutation...showed up. I tried reasoning with her, but she wouldn't listen. She was too shocked and too terrified and too close minded to care. My parents were accepting of it at least, but when I tried talking to my other friends they stayed away from me like I was a disease when I had thought and hoped they would act different. I'm just guessing my best friend went and told them all that something horribly wrong with me and made them stay away. I don't know, I mean I still love and miss Boston but I don't know if it'd be wise to go back because of them," she finished, her voice having gone slightly dull at remembering how things had become before coming to the school. It had hurt her a lot, but she was at least happy things had improved by a great margin. She continued looking at the floor as her fingers began to get a mind of their own and fidgeted, seeming restless.
