"Yes, Dylan is really onto something. I think it's been far too long since we were all together and relaxing. Tonight has been exciting and eventful and now it only has to be calm and unwinding to become a magical memory. Everything seems fine with Aideen," she fibbed, keeping her friend's secret safe as she kept all of their emotional twists a secret over the years and would do the same for Ingrid and Lai as well "she and Logan are just talking now."
"To the survivors of the bombing that almost was!" she held up her glass and smiled as everyone clinked their bottles and glasses together. "I remember those days a little differently than you guys though. As the only girl on the team, until Ariel came up from the Acolytes, things weren't so fun for me since you all were pretty sexist. Oh my god girls," she said breaking off from reminiscing with the boys to telling Lai and Ingrid "the guy Dylan mentioned? Kelly Burns? He used to draw boobs and a torso on a page of his notebook in black magic markers, leaving the neck to end at the edge of the page and tear it out. Then he would sit on the floor in front of the TV and hold it up in front of the screen so it was his own little nudie show."
She started to giggle "Okay it's funny now, but I was mortified when I saw it. Well it became just something to deal with, because the guy never got tired of it. Every time he would draw a new version, sometimes very big ones and sometimes even bigger ones than that, you really must meet Kelly one day to get a grasp of the depths of his simpleness and depravity. He's a good hearted guy though, we all really care about him I'm sure... even Logan, but let's keep that between us. Then just before Dylan and Mike left the school this girl Ariel moves up onto our college level team and I think 'Good now I have someone else to back me up' but nooo. That girl was into it."
Tracy shook her head. "I just couldn't escape it. Well, so I come to realize that Ariel didn't count as being one of the girls because she was tougher than a couple of these guys on the team. The-" she felt the stare of Mike's girlfriend "-what?" She looked at Lai's face, eyes blinking and her mouth hanging slightly open as if in the beginning of forming a question, and said "Mike never told you any of this about 'teams', or the Danger Room did he?"
She smiled as she looked at Mike for a second, then began to explain as she looked back to Lai. "Oh, well at the school we study all the regular curriculum as required by federal and state regulations but we also have lessons in using our gifts. It's what makes the school so special and why it's so very necessary. So the students are broken into teams for, well training.. combat training, since there are so many mutants out there who skirt the fringes of the law and might make a mess of the world.. well, more of a mess of the world... we learn what we can so we can do what is beyond the ability of non-mutant humans to safeguard the world we all live on."

Lai's eyes were wide as saucers as she listened to Tracy explain. She was both fascinated and now a little uneasy as she realized that everyone in that room other than her and Ingrid were trained in combat. It also had her moved her legs off Mike's lap and just lean against the back of the couch, bringing her knees to her chest and looking at all of them. "That's just... wow. What do you guys all do? I mean well what kind of powers do people have at the school?" It slightly bothered Lai that Ingrid didn't look at all shocked or surprised or anything, probably because Dylan told her everything, but her curiosity overwhelmed the twinge of annoyance in her. She had no plans to give Mike any of that grief... well not now after he stood up for her.
Admittedly, Lai did feel pretty bad about her comments earlier. She didn't realize the guy was dead or anything, and she could understand that. She still got sad going into her little brother's room from time to time when she came at home and would probably react in the same with a reminder that was so much 'in your face', just with a couple of tears and curses in the process. "What are the people like there? I mean is it like... well is it really dangerous with all the different powers and stuff?" she bit her lip and looked at all of them, eyes stopping on Mason.
"Okay look I am sorry and I did deserve that, you don't need to apologize. I do that sometimes, speak before I think, though I am proud to say I'm better at it then him." She nudged Mike with her toe and smiled at him. "I didn't mean it I just get carried away. I don't want to ruin the night either, especially when I am like dying of curiosity about this school and the people and just wow. So you guys like see the same X-Men that are on TV all the time every day and work with them? That's like... dammmnn." Her light brown eyes were open wide in complete fascination and intrigue. "And um... one question... what's that Kelly Burns guy's power? I'm almost scared to ask," she smiled widely, looking at all of them and eager for an answer.

Mason laughed slightly and took a sip of his beer, right back in chill mood. He was still worried about Aideen, but he felt better that Tracy said she was okay. The added guilt about having them come out here was still there but just not as bad if she was coping alright. "Heh Burns power I think is the bane of everyone, if him without it doesn't do it. He turns anything thats not a person or an animal into food," he said with a smirk at the look on Lai's face that came with that. "He's a trip. One time he turned Logan's last cigar into a milky way I think, and oh man that was bad. Logan chased him throughout the whole house with Burns screaming his high pitched scream and turning everything in his path into some kind of food. The whole house would have been a giant sundae if Emma didn't step in."
He glanced back at Lai for this part. "Emma Frost that is, we got all the X-Men there. Oh yea Logan over there is one, he's Wolverine," Mason said nodding his head in the direction of the kitchen. "Cyclops is our team leader, we got Nightcrawler there, and Iceman just joined a couple of months ago. Not all of them are there though, just a good deal of them. Dazzler got her own career and Angel and Husk stop by once in awhile, but yea. It ain't all fighting bad guys or anything like the movies, personally I say its a good day over there when one part of the school isn't blown up or destroyed," Mason said shaking his head and opening a new beer now. The school was chaotic to a level that no one but those who lived there would get.
"Theres a lot of kids there. The other guy on our team is TrueSpirit, or Mato the guy mentioned earlier. He's a Shaman in his village, and sees people's souls. He knows what to say to heal the soul. Its pretty sweet cause we got Tracy who heals people on the outside, he does it on the inside. A really cool hand in hand kinda thing." He looked at Tracy with a slight smile. If there was one thing that Mason never had a complaint about is the way his team balanced each other out. "Kids got a lot of powers though, we got a kid with wings like Angel, except they're black. There's Jocelyn, OH yea I don't think we told you guys." He looked between Dylan and Mike now with a slightly grim look on his face. "Joce came back. She uh... well she grew up thats for sure, but she's still the same. Atlantis did her good though from what I saw, not just body but shes the same old Joce now, or at least seems it," he said with a shrug. True Jocelyn annoyed the shit out of him all the time and was a pain in his ass since he got there, but she was a good kid. "Yea Jocelyn is a mutant who's half Atlantean. She's got the blue skin, the ears, the wings on her feet, all that. She... eh she's okay," he mumbled slightly and shrugged.
"My power is enhanced reflexes and invulnerable skin. Uhh... Aideen got a firebender and shes got a friend that has a forcefield around her, like Invisible Woman does sometimes. There's a little girl there that's got pink hair and little fairy wings. She makes people happy. I don't know we got a lot of kids, all of them got their powers. But with all that you can imagine how bad a fight is. And believe me there is a fight over there on a daily basis. It's just that kinda crazy." Mason shook his head and took another drink from the beer. There was so much more to say to that, but he didn't know if he was willing to get into the details.

The whole explanation on the school completely enthralled Lai, and she actually sat there with wide eyes completely silent the whole time. It wasn't that she didn't know what it was like around celebrities, since she spent a lot of time with Ingrid on photo shoots and the movie set, it was just how bizarre it was for all these people to have these superhuman abilities. "That's just... wow. So does that mean that nothing can hurt you? Like how Mike said you and Logan can survive the explosion? Oh man he's Wolverine! Whoa oh wow," she said slumping back with astonished eyes. "That's so... oh wow I don't know awesome! I always been big supporters of that, hell I did a killer debate against mutant registration in my Law Analysis class. This is just so crazy!" Lai had perked up big time and was excited to learn more.
Meanwhile Ingrid looked completely calm, sitting next to Dylan and listening with interest. Dylan told her stories all the time from that school, and she was familiar with the many people that attended that school. He even promised to take her next time he visited there. It did interest her to hear about the other people that were there that Dylan never spoke of, like the half Atlantean, and the boy with wings like Angel. "I heard about how bad the fights can get, but I do have to admit I wish someone would capture Kelly Burns' antics on video. Some I must see for myself to believe," she giggled slightly at that, remembering how hard she laughed at the stories Dylan told her.
"OH! Shit what are the fights like?" Lai said, wide eyed and excited. "Ok here, what were some of the recent fights like? Was there like a crazy storm or some big major kick ass stuff or what? I mean okay yea I saw some of it today, but is it really that bad that parts of the school gets destroyed. Do people get hurt a lot? Do you treat them all Trace, or is there a hospital or something?" She was just full of questions at this point and looked at all of them with wide excited eyes.

"Well, yes actually." Tracy said cupping her glass in two hands. "People do get hurt a lot, and I try my best..." she let her eyes drift up into Mason's for support before turning back to Lai "..but I don't always save them. I recently lost a young girl, it was horrible, and I never want to feel the feeling of another person dying in my arms ever again. That's why I had to try so hard to save Mike. Sure I love him," she felt a spike of concern and confusion from Lai's man so she grinned and said to him "like a brother Mike settle down," before continuing to speak to Lai "and he and I go way back.. but the feeling of not feeling someone's emotions anymore and having my hands on them and doing everything in my power to fix their body.. and they die anyway? Oh God it is the worst thing I have ever felt. It's- it's an awful thing to feel a soul slip away, and to know that person no more."
Tracy had just finished when she noticed Logan and Aideen standing there. She had been wrapped up in her own emotions and wasn't sure exactly when they came in the room. Clearing her throat she gave a moment of silence. "But yes, I do what I can there at the school and around the globe... and actually places that you probably would not even believe if I told you. Like uh, well like other dimensions and alien planets and places like that. In fact the recent battle I was talking about, where we lost that young girl, was in another dimension.. a place called LIMBO, but not like the religious Limbo, even though it looked and felt a whole lot like hell." She took a sip of wine and placed her glass on the table.
"What you saw today was small potatoes. Too many times it's us mutants getting ourselves in seriously dangerous situations for the good of humanity and there's never a camera crew around. The news only really ever sees some of the aftermath of things and then it looks like mutants are the cause of these awful things, like if we didn't exist the world would be safer. But let me tell you," she shook her head "it wouldn't. I'm glad you feel as strongly as you do, and yes, I sensed your pride at being able to say how you took a stand for the side of mutant kind. I think that's wonderful, I think we all think that's pretty great. As for Mason not being hurt, well when I told him I didn't want to try that beer ice-cream concoction he raves about, well, it did hurt his feelings."
She giggled as she rose from her seat to walk over and place a hand on Logan's arm, and then turn to give Aideen a long hug. "Feeling better, yes?" she whispered in her ear as she held her for a moment. Breaking the embrace she said to them "Please you guys sit with us.. I was just talking about" she looked up at Logan "some of the things we students do to save your X-Men butts." Flashing him a grin she turned back to continue regaling Lai and Ingrid with the story of their time in hell. "It was actually Logan and Kurt, uh, Nightcrawler we went to get back from there, from LIMBO I mean." She looked over at Mike and Dylan saying "You guys would have been blown away by that girl right there," Tracy pointed to Aideen as she reached for her wine again "she is incredible in a fight. Think she is good at throwing knives? Try guessing how good she is at throwing fire daggers, in Hell.. yes, OOooh yes" she pointed to Dylan who by the look on his face was calculating the mean temperature of the dimension of LIMBO and extrapolating how that ambient temperature might benefit a fire wielder "she's that good." Tracy looked back at Ember and winked knowing the firebender did it all for her man.

"Aww hey Trace, you always do your best, but I think I owe that little girl something. Seems like you tried extra extra hard to bring me back and for that I'm grateful, and so sorry all at once. I'm not gonna say I would trade with her I mean, well not to sound.. all.." he slowly stopped talking and looked to her sweet girlfriend sitting there next to him. A look on her face like disbelief and awe. "What? Aliens? Heh," Mike chuckled, glad for the excuse to change the subject "we bump into aliens all the time. I remember the first week that Mason here joined the Corsairs, that's the college level team that Dylan was Captain of.." He started into the story of the beginning of the partnership and great friendship he had with Mason. Telling how Mason had come to the room that he and Dylan shared. Fresh from the Paragons, he wore his attitude like a suit of armor, mocking Dylan's 'What Would the X-Men Do?' board and helping himself to Mike's last bit of milk. He told them both they were nutso and that he was going to do things his way, but Dylan - ever the diplomat- let Mason express himself. When he dropped the bombshell that Mason and Mike were to be partnered up, even on their off time, they both hit the ceiling. Mike, though upset, trusted Dylan's logic and was hardly in a postion to turn his back on the new team member after how he himself had been mentored. Mason on the other hand, was rather outspoken about his dissatisfaction. Mike continued with the story after a glance in Mason's direction, he smiled as he went on to tell of their first outing. "Well so anyway, that weekend I decided to show him the freedom he had as a College level student and we went for a hike. Mason wasn't much into the idea though..." "...Ha!! Imagine that he wanted to take Mason for a ride, just Mason so that was a little funny.. but yeah Aliens. Anyway, Mr. I-Ain't-Gettin-Probed, tells the guy to piss of which made me laugh, and even though I had my guns out I let my guard down." Mike started to laugh again at the memory of it leaving his story quite unfinished and everyone, Lai most of all, wondering what happened next.

Lai looked at Mike expectantly for a minute, waiting for him to continue. Then she recognized the familiar pattern that he fell in whenever he tried to tell a story. He ended up beginning but forgetting to finish. "MIKE!" she punched him hard in the shoulder. "Finish the damn story! You can't start something like that and then just stop!" Lai crossed her arms and scowled at him.
She was dying to know what happened next and it was the first story Mike ever told her about his past and she was eager to hear it. It was all so knew to her with aliens and all that. Leave it to Mike to pick that topic of all topics out of nowhere to start on, but nonetheless Lai was easily fascinated by the whole concept that looked like it came out of a Sci-Fi movie. "If you don't finish it I swear..." she threatened with a half heart, but looked at him eagerly

"OKAAaay, Okay..sheesh. What's to tell? ya seen one alien ya seen em all right? But this was the first one I think that Mason over there actually saw." He smiled rubbing his shoulder and continued on with the story.... "Well, ok so I only had one of my guns out, BUT-" Mike told them how the guy tried make them freak out by flyin up in the air to stun and awe them, they were of course unimpressed and started to leave when the Alien spoke. He said he needed the boy, that he was going to take what he needed. Well, Mike couldn't let that happen and so he told the bug head to get off the planet and take his stink with him. "Well, he smelled kinda like feet and asparagus" Mike shrugged and went back to telling how with a touch the creature from another world ignited his gun and being linked with it Mike had a hard time controlling the explosion. When he couldn't contain it anymore the gun exploded sending shrapnel flying and it was then that a portal opened from the ship hovering above. "That's when a gaggle of green goons piled out and started wailing on me. But I saw the two big bosses decide on Mason being the guy they were after and grab him up with some weird blue energy. "It wasn't bad enough I was half burnt up but I was getting my ass kicked too. Their hides were thick as a side of beef and I knew what Rocky musta felt like as I fought back." He hung his head as he told the rest of the story, going on about how the two Alien scientists were searching for specimens, and Mason proved to be of interest. "They took us up inta their ship and decided to skin him to try and replicate his hide. It was those aliens that tore out his heart-" he nudged Lai with his elbow. "-WHat!?! He is a heartless bastard." He grinned. Then he copped to the fib and told how they had tried all they could, but they just couldn't cut through Mason's flesh and they finally gave up and dropped them both off in front of the hospital. Mike only had a vague recollection of Mason carrying him into the emergency room, still smoldering, and the story he told about a car accident. "They didn't much seem to mind that he didn't have any clothes on, they kinda had their hands full cutting me out of mine and peeling the chunks of metal and burnt in bits of my clothes outta me, so when I did come to all I wanted was to leave. Trace over there healed me up when we got back to the school that night. Oh man, Mason you remember how pissed Cyclops was. Holy crap I thought we were gonna be running laps around the lake for the rest of our lives."

"Heh yea... I coulda dealt with just the laps, it was the kitchen duty that was a big pain in the ass," Mason said with a slight grin as he took a sip of his beer thinking back to that day. "Those Aliens musta been from the dumbest planet ever though, I was kinda surprised they knew as much about Earth as they did. I think they had enough when one of them was stabbing me with a syringe that I just took it and hit him right in the eye. Man that was a crazy night though." A slight laugh escaped him then and he looked over at Mike at this one since he had been there the whole time. "Remember what happened when we got back with Cassie? Maaaan was she pissed. I thought she was gonna try and blind me when she started yelling at me for missing our date. That didn't last long huh?"
Cassie had been some pretty little Acolyte that they all called 'The Big Easy' in private. Just about every guy in the school had a fling with her, including Mason and Mike at one point. But man once she opened her mouth, all her appeal went out the window. "She woke up the whole damn mansion with her screaming when I just said 'oh well' and walked away. It didn't really help matters that you started laughing your head off," he said looking at Mike with a smirk. "She was a bitch though, so I didn't really care. She was back messing around with Burns the next day anyways." He shook his head thinking back to those days and all the different people that surrounded them.
"Man a lot has happened since then. I don't think you guys would full on recognize the place by the people in it. That don't mean that things are all that much better then they were back then. Now its a little crazier in some senses," Mason said with a slight shrug thinking back to all the crazy stuff that happened since they got back from the break. It was insane the changes that came to all of them. He may have said more on that, but his stomach started grumbling. "Where the hell is the food? I thought they were supposed to deliver quick." He glanced at Aideen at that statement, one look at her and he saw she was back in her stiff and aloof state. He was disappointed, and the guilt came back all the way. "You think we got time to get some beer and ice cream before the food arrives?"

At that moment, the sound of the bell buzzing rang out through the apartment, making the dogs go insane. The two Dobermans were barking viciously, and the gigantic Wolfhounds were jumping all over everyone in excitement. Ingrid was slightly scared of the Dobermans, both running to the door and ready to strike at the intruders. "Perfect timing yes? I think I will take care of dinner tonight. I suppose it is the least I can do- OH!" One of Wolfhounds jumped right up on her, knocking the tall model right back to the couch. She looked a little nervous for a moment and then petted the excited dogs head for a minute before getting up gingerly. "I forget how hyper dogs can be," she said with cheeks tinged red slightly from embarrassment.
Grabbing her purse, she walked to the door, Dylan following to pull the dogs away and help her with the bags. She felt bad that dinner was ruined tonight because of her and she was going to pay whether they wanted her to or not. It would at least make her feel slightly less guilty about the ruined evening. Opening the door, Ingrid just slipped past the snarling Dobermans to go downstairs. An older man seemed to have been waiting for them, and grabbed the dogs as she went around to answer the door and collect the food.
Meanwhile, Lai was upstairs with wide eyes in disbelief. "Aliens? Seriously?? Wow. Yea so my life is like officially boring," she said sitting back in the seat and blinking several times. "Honestly, my own life didn't get interesting until I met this gorilla. From the moment I met him it was just... well I wouldn't have been surprised if he was an Alien. I was at a dance club, I sneaked in of course since I'm only eighteen earlier this year with my friends from school. I go to the bar to get a drink, only to see Mike here with some friends I guess from work. You want to know his first words to me? He came up next to me out of nowhere and yelled 'POOF'. I looked at him like he was insane and he just grinned at me and said 'I'm here, what are your other two wishes?' I thought he was off his rocker and just burst out laughing." She shook her head and bit back a giggle.
"Ingrid there," she pointed to the door as Ingrid and Dylan came in with bags of food. "She of course gets the movie star meeting with Dylan. Falling into his arms, dressed in a gorgeous dress that I could never fit my fat ass in, and spends the night dancing away. What do I get? This one serenading me with drunken pick up lines. What was the other one baby. 'Do you have any rasins?' and then I said No and he said 'How about a date them?' I didn't know whether to punch him or burst out laughing, but after three Cosmos I went with the laughing. That was right before he turned around so fast he knocked me off my bar stool. We'll always have that lovely scar from the splintered wood on my thigh to remember it by," Lai said grinning at Mike and patting his cheek with her hand.
"I don't get Aliens, I get Mike, but that's close enough," she said with a laugh, looking up at the food eagerly as it was set on the coffee table. "Man I'm starving. Oh and even when I met him, he ate all the chicken wings I ordered while talking to me. How you ever managed to get me baby, I'll never know." Lai giggled and leaned over to kiss Mike's cheek before looking for her meal. "Okay, Pad Thai... Oh here Aideen, this is the yours its marked spicy. Ah heres mine!" She opened up the plastic lid from the bowl to be met with a full cloud of steam and the aroma of Pad Thai. "MMmmmMmm smells amazing!" She wasted no time and dug right into the food with the plastic fork. "So okay did you all," Lai pointed her fork at the two other couples. "Just get together at the school? Or is there a whole big story behind it too?"

Logan chuckled under his breath. Stroking his hand across Aideen's back and down her spine as she reached out for her food. He looked at her and tried to let all that he had heard her say to Tracy pass out of his mind...but he knew he couldn't. She must have thought that since he was barking at Mike he wasn't listening to her speak her mind, but that was hardly the case. He just didn't know what he wanted to do with the information yet, and until he decided, he would just place it aside and enjoy the evening. If Aideen was going to try to bury her feelings again for the sake of the group he would let her. She might be new to the whole emotion thing but he wasn't. He would let her learn, learn the hard way as she was determined to do anyway, and he would be there when she realized that even if she could hide her emotions from the whole wide world there was one person she would never be able to hide them from... herself.
"See mine in there doll?" He asked as he sniffed a little at the air, the smells were wonderful and those all too rich to be good for you aromas let him know it was going to be a wonderful feast. "I haven't had this dish since- well, damn! Thats a whole nother story, but it hardly compares to space critters and naked emergency room visits. Just a royal palace and much gratitude for saving a princess from a dragon..." He lifted his eyebrow and looked at Lai to see if she would fall for his little ploy. Meeting her shocked expression with a slight smirk as she handed him his Lamb Rendang he shook his head ever so. "No, no dragon..Not that time at least, but I am going to enjoy this. Thanks there Ingrid, appreciate you footin the bill."
"Got chopsticks?" He asked looking to see as he grabbed the now empty bag off the floor near the table and rooted around in it. "Baby?" He held out a set of chopsticks to Aideen not knowing if she would want them, but expecting she might and grabbing himself a set. "Yeah, I think I'll let Aideen tell ya the details of how she and I got together. Tracy sorta mentioned a bit about it, but I ain't no good with makin a story seem dramatic or romantic so I'll leave it to her." He nudged her a little and grinned at the way he had put her on the spot. "But ya better brace yerself, cause neither she or I do anything half assed... so get ready." He knew it would make her relive some things, the emotions she had felt and the pain, and he wanted to push her to acknowledging her feelings. There might be a chance for her to be real with everyone here, to actually let her guard down and just be the adorable young thing that he loved, that was the cause of him releasing his own feelings and the source of him feeling young as when the world was new.

Taking the chopsticks with raised eyebrows, Aideen opened the container of spicy Pad Thai and looked up at the group. "Yes, see I'm known for telling elaborate and detailed stories often. You may not believe, but I actually am quite a talker," she said sarcastically with a slight smirk, picking up a piece of shrimp with her chopstick and trying to think on how everything started with the two of them. The months had been a blur in some senses, and she didn't quite know when they officially crossed that line. The countless training sessions that left her breathless with a thin sheens of sweat on her skin and a blank mind might have been it, or when it was a fight for the two of them not to stare at each other in a room full of people. It was actually a hard question to answer, and her brow scrunched in confusion.
"Well actually... I have no idea how we got together exactly," Aideen said, not looking at anyone in particular and placing the container on her knee as she stared straight ahead at no one in particular, biting her lip lightly as she thought hard. "I suppose it would have to be when the relationship took a physical- okay intimately physical turn, but that just... seemed like a final step perhaps. There was so much before that, too much that can be easily discounted." Her hand went up to push her thick hair away from her face, a searching look still on her face as she sat back on the arm of the chair next to Logan. She couldn't remember that point where she had eyes for no one else, and couldn't remember that point when she had a firm hold that she was attracted to him, and it slightly bothered her to not be able to remember with a near photographic memory that had been forced in her from years of conditioning, and yet she couldn't remember such a simple question.
It took her a moment longer to shake herself out of it, blinking her large dark eyes at the others like she just shook herself out of a trance. It was a good focus though, it made it easier to push that emotional spill from earlier far within her and not allow it to show. "Pardon me, I was just trying to sort it out. I suppose that the final step to the relationship was only from several days ago," Aideen said going back to that day that started off horribly and ended rather well. "I had an... encounter you could say with Rumble, Brock, whatever you want to call him. I refer to him as a benign cyst on the backside of human kind, but that's besides the point. I had to get away for awhile, mainly to keep myself from setting him on fire or killing him myself. I ended up in the woods by the school, just to get away and get my head straight before coming to the school to face whatever punishment may have come my way. Logan found me not too long after, not exactly ideal on my part as the whole side of my forehead had a large gash and was swollen and just horrendous, hardly presentable." She shook her head slightly, hand going up to touch the place where that mark once was because of the heavy ring Rumble wore on his finger. How she kept from killing him then was a miracle in and of itself at the time, and she didn't even get punished for slashing him good across the chest.
"No matter, I still felt less murderous and upset after only several minutes in his company. Then he just stood up and wanted to show me his cabin he built. It's very well built too, strong wood, both cedar and oak and I think maple. The foundation is also very strong, it's reinforced by larger blocks of wood so well another level could be added easily without worry," Aideen said thinking of the cabin with slight pride for Logan on building it so well. She had an admiration for anything made by hand, especially when built with care and built to last. "Oh well um then he showed me inside and well." She stopped to reach over and grab a beer to hide the slight blush remembering all that happened afterwards. "That's when I suppose it was set? I confess I'm not exactly sure." She looked back at Logan to see if she was completely off the mark and not knowing if she got any of this right. "Or is this a question of how we first met? I'm not well versed in this," Aideen said softly looking at everyone, biting her lip. She was not used to this type of conversation that bordered on gossip, but being prompted she could hardly refuse and be rude.

Waving a hand low and in a manner that told Mason to quit talking about their past flings. He was concerned how Lai might deal with too much information, especially about a girl they all took turns with. He gave Mason a look, THAT look- the one that said 'Yo Guy! Don't Mess this up for me, my girl's chillin out..finally.. OKAAAY!?!- and as Aideen was finishing her explanation he turned his attention back to the uncertain Corsair. Bringing his arm up and over Lai's head he wrapped his hand around her shoulder, pulled her gently to himself, and rubbed her arm as he laughed at his own great pick-up lines "Heh, poof..." he whispered under his breath.
When Aideen looked around so too did Mike and he saw everyone digging into their Thai food, so he took it upon himself to lock her on to what was expected. "AWWww! Come ON, that's not how you tell a story like that. Me and Dylan know that guy and he's not what ya'd call 'smooth'. So Yea go back a little bit..." Mike looked over at Dylan for some form of ganging up on Logan and he gathered his strength before he stared back at their hairy former gym teacher. Picturing him in a little powder blue jogging suit with a whistle and a matching baseball cap, since picturing him in his skivvies like all the public speakers are so fond of saying was not an appealing thought, he squinted up his eyes ".. cause.. I'm just not seein it."
He turned his head and softened his face as he said cordially to Aideen. "You are just tooooo purty for that guy. Well just, just look atcha I mean, well he's.." he didn't know exactly what to say about Logan, but he didn't want to upset the girl AGAIN "...and you..well,, you're uh.." he didn't know what to say about Aideen then either, his self preservation taking over since he didn't want to upset Lai AGAIN "..well, you know what you are- dontcha? So how did it all start? How did this hairy, mean, metal boned animal make an impression on you? That- THAT is the reeaal story, that's the story I think we all want to hear. Yeah? Am I right you guys?" Mike looked around at them all with their mouths full and finally getting some hearty sustenance. It was amazing what food did for a person's demeanor, everyone looked finally at ease, everyone except Aideen. Understandably he did just put her on the spot.

"Mike! You are terrible!" Ingrid said with a giggle, placing her fork down to giggle at both the way Mike struggled with words and the bemused look on Aideen's face and the annoyed snarl on Logan's. "To be a bit more polite, he means that you are incredibly gorgeous, and Logan you are... well quite intimidating, to be frank, not to say you aren't Aideen, when I first met the two of you in the restaurant I was speechless." She now was blushing at the amused glances at the couple and giggled again in spite of herself.
"What I mean is well you both are not typical, not to say Dylan and I are either for that matter, but well its just that," She put a hand to her blushing face with an embarrassed smile and shook her head as she tried to find the right words. "Well from what I heard from Dylan, you do not like people so much Logan, and please do not take offense, but you do not seem like the... well the warmest person either Aideen," Ingrid said nervously and looked at the now amused expressions of both of them and let out a shaky breath. "I'm not making it much better am I?" she said with a timid giggle and shook her head.
"To be very straightforward, how did it all start? There, that was alright yes?" She blushed again at how flustered she was and how hard she tried to make it all sound good without offending anyone. Especially since Aideen seemed like she had no idea what to say as it was and looked adorably flustered by talking so much.

Biting her lip again, the amused expression left Aideen's face as she tried to think again when it all started. She couldn't answer for Logan, she had no idea when anything sparked for him let alone for her for that matter. "I... I don't know. Really, I can't give you a concrete answer," she said, now feeling rather upset with herself for not knowing at all when things had changed for her. She was still having trouble dealing with emotions, let alone know when they started. Just that morning she had realized that she thought she was sick all those times around Logan when really she was just feeling emotions that her body responded to but not her mind.
With a small sigh, Aideen blinked her eyes and looked at all of them, feeling almost inadequate at that point. "I really don't know. He just... understood me. And never hit on me like every other person. I don't know when exactly it all started," she trailed off with a sigh. She picked at her food, trying not to bite her lip as it was not ladylike behavior and concentrating staring at the food, feeling incredibly awkward. Ingrid and Dylan seemed to know straight off that there was a spark, and the same for Lai and Mike though that was more likely a spark of attraction. Aideen remembered when Niki and Ian got together, and there was an instant spark with the two of them as well. Leave it to her to be the one that could make something so simple be so hard.
"I'm sorry I really don't know. I'm not well versed in that area anymore than I am talking about it," she said quietly winding some noodles around her chopsticks to get a better grip on them. It was ridiculous how she couldn't even answer a simple question. Though it was a bit more personal than she cared, it was nothing a vague answer could not have fixed. Aideen couldn't even do that, with all that had happened it was hard to pinpoint exactly when she realized anything had started, especially when she didn't know if it started or not, and now she couldn't help but feel slightly frustrated with herself.
