"Children, I am at a loss for vords! Zhat vas fantastic Gavin! Vielen Dank, a vonderful robust performance- Now please excuse me. Veronika, you vill be next. Again, danke Gavin...please take a seat avay from Heazher."
"Ach mein Liebster! Ach nein! Dies ist ein Frevel !!! Katana !" Kurt threw his hands up in the air "I vill be right back." ~ BaMF ~ he took off teleporting after Katana, logically deducing where she had gone, he found her after only two teleports and immediately returned to the classroom with her. ~Bamf~ As Veronika had only just made her way to the front of the class. "Pardon me Veronika please, a moment." he said softly to her as he was unsure how far into her performance she had gotten.
"Now as you all know" He said to the class "I very rarely admonish a student, it is not my vay to chastise sumvon, however..." he turned from facing them all to look at Leah and said sternly "Vhat you just did is not tolerated in polite society und most certainly not permitted in my class room!" he passed his arm before her displaying the people in the room to her like some magician to make sure she projected her voice "Loudly and viss sincerity, und if you do not feel it I do not care... you are on stage und zhis is acting class, so ACT like you are sorry und apologize. If you truly do not care zhen pretend like you vant us to accept your apology...but I believe zhat you really do care... now apologize for taking up our class time und your profanity und childish behavior so zhat Veronika might grace us viss her performance."
Nightcrawler very rarely got upset. It took a lot for him to raise his voice, but after so many second chances and so much time spent administering to the young lady's spirit Kurt had finally reached the end of his rope, only to find it thoroughly frayed from frustration at her behavior and lack of progress. She was indeed a troubled child.

Mere moments after she walked out the door Katana was grabbed from behind and found herself back in the classroom being rightfully admonished by her teacher. He was right. She did care. For god's sake don't freak this up. You're actually passing this class. No matter what Ripple says you've found one blasted thing you are good at it. Why throw it away because your teammates are assholes? But she couldn't leave it at that. Another part of her brain yelled at her. Sure, let them all disrespect you. You've worked hard and for what? To be a laughingstock? Back down now and they'll walk all over you.
Standing there terribly conflicted her face was filled with tension and her eyes had a blank look in them as if she were paralyzed by fear. Better to go out in a fury than to fail. He's going to do it you know. He's going to fail you. And then you'll be a failure at everything. Quit now and you can at least hold onto a delusion that you could have done if you wanted to....Oh, yeah, that's real mature. That's going to fix things. Blow up or wallow in self pity; real great options.
"I..I can't do this. I just can't cut it. I'm sorry I blew up at everybody really...it's not you guys fault..." and then in a moment of true candor she continued..."I can't promise it won't happen again. Well, I can but it wouldn't be very honest. I think maybe I need to see a shrink...you've really been great to me Nightcrawler and given me a million chances and a lot of support...but something is seriously wrong with me and I don't know how to fix it and believe it or not I have tried" she said as her voice cracked and tears started to roll down her face. "I'm sorry."

Putting on the perfect confused and distressed look, Veronika had looked extremely confused as to why Katana could have been yelling at her. Honestly she really didn't know, since she never dropped her act around anyone, though she did allow some of herself to shine with her inner circle. However, the people in her inner circle trusted her as she trusted them, if not more so and would never break her trust and tell people some of the small amount of nasty opinions she did let out about people. That stupid girl is a fool. She will never be of use to me. I have no room in my life for people who belong in a mental institution. I do wish, as Papa often says, that times did not have to change so drastically that they no longer take the weak, unstable fools and execute them with a clean shot in the head. A pity really, considering it would have spared us from having to deal with this sorry excuse for a human being, let alone a mutant. When I have my way, she will be among the first to go.
Veronika smiled at Nightcrawler sweetly, her blue eyes glinting like sapphires in the light. "Why thank you Nightcrawler I was just about to begin. Now I will be doing two scenes from Titus Andronicus, merely to illustrate how the beginning of a play such as this can deceive the audience to the character's nature. In the first scene of the first act, you see for the first time Queen Tamora, the Queen of the Goths who has just been captured along with her sons by the Roman Army. She begs with the General Titus Andronicus to spare the life of her eldest son, showing the audience a meek and caring woman who would do anything for her sons," Veronika said in her clear light voice laced with her Russian accent. "Now as I mentioned, this particular play is quite a sinister one. Though you may think that Tamora is a sweet and weak woman now, she gives the audience a new insight later on in the story to how much of a cruel woman she really is," she finished with an adorable giggle to herself at the irony of such a scene.
"Imagine in the early morning in the city square of Rome. There are officials standing everywhere as the conquered Queen begs for the life of her son. The Romans are feeling victorious, they have just conquered the Ruthless Goths and captured their Queen. The audience will watch and think Titus Andronicus to be a cruel man for making a woman sacrifice his son," she said solemnly.
On Veronika's face came a perfect mask of despair that one would think she was indeed a woman suffering heartache and despair at the thought of losing her child.
"Stay, Roman brethren! Gracious conqueror, Victorious Titus, rue the tears I shed, A mother's tears in passion for her son: And if thy sons were ever dear to thee, O, think my son to be as dear to me! Sufficeth not that we are brought to Rome, To beautify thy triumphs and return, Captive to thee and to thy Roman yoke, But must my sons be slaughter'd in the streets, For valiant doings in their country's cause? O, if to fight for king and commonweal Were piety in thine, it is in these. Andronicus, stain not thy tomb with blood: Wilt thou draw near the nature of the gods? Draw near them then in being merciful: Sweet mercy is nobility's true badge: Thrice noble Titus, spare my first-born son," Veronika cried out the Tamora's plea as if she was Tamora herself. She made motions of pretending to grab the robes of General Titus robes with shining tears running down her face. She fit herself into this role as well as the one she did in life.
At the end of the scene, Veronika stood up and gently wiped the tears from her face with a handkerchief she kept in her pocket. When she knew that she didn't ruin her makeup, she looked back at the class. "That everyone is your first impression of the woman. Now I take you to later on in the scene, after her remaining sons kill Bassianus, the man betrothed to Lavina, Titus' daughter after he insults her. Now I show you the true nature of this woman as she moves to stab the girl as well. The audience is in shock of the cruelty of this woman, since it came at them with a surprise. It is the night and no one in the room but poor frightened Lavinia, The Queen Tamora, and her two sons. Watch how this woman shows her true colors," Veronika said with another sweet giggle before her face turned cold and sinister as she looked at the class before turning her eyes to the stage, as if she was looking at the dead body of the man her sons killed and smirking coldly at the crying girl.
"Have I not reason, think you, to look pale? These two have 'ticed me hither to this place: A barren detested vale, you see it is; The trees, though summer, yet forlorn and lean, O'ercome with moss and baleful mistletoe: Here never shines the sun; here nothing breeds, Unless the nightly owl or fatal raven: And when they show'd me this abhorred pit, They told me, here, at dead time of the night, A thousand fiends, a thousand hissing snakes, Ten thousand swelling toads, as many urchins, Would make such fearful and confused cries As any mortal body hearing it Should straight fall mad, or else die suddenly. No sooner had they told this hellish tale, But straight they told me they would bind me here Unto the body of a dismal yew, And leave me to this miserable death: And then they call'd me foul adulteress, Lascivious Goth, and all the bitterest terms That ever ear did hear to such effect: And, had you not by wondrous fortune come, This vengeance on me had they executed. Revenge it, as you love your mother's life, Or be ye not henceforth call'd my children," she said in a hard cruel voice, looking to two imaginary figures on the stage as she spoke, walking around the would be figures and making a motion of putting her hands on their shoulders. Her voice was made so cruel, harsh and evil that no one in this room would ever think that she could sound like that. Her eyes lost their sparkle as a hardness came out in them. Sapphire blue turning ice cold and piercing into the audiences soul whenever she looked at them.
When Veronika finished she looked back at the class and gave them her usual adorable and irresistible grin. "And that everyone, is why you should expect the unexpected in every story, for first impressions are often deceiving. Thank you," she said with a brilliant smile and a curtsy. Veronika knew she had talent, everyday she acted and mastered her act. The best part was that just like with Tamora, no one could ever suspect what lied underneath her sweet disposition.

When Nightcrawler was out of the room, Gavin walked to his new seat, but not before he ruffled and messed up Heather's hair while passing her, making it stick up and a bit frizzy on top. "Stop sticking forks in the electric sockets! Your so silly," he said snickering and the dodged any hit she tired to get in as he ran to sit on the other side of Shimmer. Gavin didn't even give a damn about Katana, he didn't speak to her period and really he tried to ignore her best as he could, though it was a bit hard since she stuck him as an attention seeker with a bitter attitude towards life, which lead him to believe she was quite spoiled in many ways.
Gavin winked at Sky before Veronika started her performance, but the moment she did, his attention focused on her. Wow... shes amazing at that, and so hot. It's like she was born to act. I look like a wannabe actor who's waiting on tables at some French restaurant while waiting for a callback next to her. It's like she's really feeling all that and damn... she looks hot evil, he thought completely entranced by her performance. When she finished, Gavin instantly started clapping loudly and blew a loud whistle, along with a wolf whistle, cause come on, she deserved it. "Now that is acting!" he said clapping and throwing in another whistle.
He leaned over and poked Shimmer. "Hey Short Stuff," he said smiling at Shimmer. It was a playful nickname he gave her cause she was the smallest person on their team. She was a cute little kid, reminded him of his little sister so he liked her a lot. "I'll make you one of my brownies again if you poke Heather in the head with your pencil," he whispered snickering a bit and winking at her. "You can even blame it on me," Gavin added, still clapping for Veronika. She was amazing in all her performance, and she never failed to enchant the class.

Lian rolled her eyes. Oh my god, she screamed to herself. "This girl really doesn't quit does she?" The Paragon looked to her best friend and nodded in thanks when Sky made her point. Katana was too weird of a chick to Lian, and practically everyone in the school. The girl just didn't like to have friends. And because of her alienating herself, it only backfired in everyone acting negative towards her.
Lian didn't hate Katana, but she was one to joke around and prank a LOT. Leah finally "broke down" again, making Lian roll her eyes even more and chuckle when the girl darted out of the room. "Talk about attention hogging," she said to no one in particular.
After Veronika's performance, Lian joined in with the whistling. "Yeah that's it Kudinov!!" she yelled while clapping whole heartedly. "That is how it's done!! Better than Gavin!" She whistled one last time before resting her arms. All the clapping was making her hands sore.

Seeing Katana get so upset, Heather couldn't really blame her. Everyone was kind of rude and embarrassing her. But then again, Leah's reaction to everything was a bit too emphasized. Heather watched Leah leave and thought about going after her. But she knew that Leah wouldn't want to speak to her out of all people. Leah and Heather weren't enemies, but they weren't friendly either.
Gavin's continuous torture awoke Heather from her thoughts. Her hair was already a mess since she woke up late. But Gavin made it worse. She clenched her right hand in a fist and swung at the Acolyte with full force... only to miss again. She exhaled sharply and narrowed her eyes. She had the infamous "cute" face that Gavin loved to see. Heather was officially irritated. She was the same way last week when he tricked her in letting her fly with him. She asked him how it was to fly and be able to just feel free. His response was grabbing her and flying her to the top of a tree. She was up there for half an hour, trying to get down when the nearest branch was nine feet below her.
Seeing that her best friend was up next, Heather clapped for her with a genuine warm smile. Veronika was very good at performing and wondered if she would ever consider it as a career. Heather knew that Veronika had plenty of connections, however Veronika did have a natural talent. After the performance, Heather clapped enthusiastically. "Whooo!" she yelled with the rest of the crowd. She looked to Gavin with the corner of her eye and thought about how to get him back. She had her plans, and they were brilliant.

Sky rolled her eyes, not really in the mood to deal with Katana's crap anymore. She actually tried to be cool with the girl or at least get her, but she had enough. And when Sky was through with something, she meant it. She was done trying to be nice and cool with the girl. In a school like this, if you weren't with someone, you were against them. Basic survival skill is you stick to your group, and those who don't are against the group.
With rapt attention, Sky watched Veronika's act. That is just so freaking cool. She's really good at that stuff, she thought and clapped just as loudly as Gavin and let out a loud whistle. "That's my girl right there," she yelled over the clapping. "It's official, Gavin's voice makes him hotter and Veronika's talent just makes her perfect. That is so not fair," she said to Lian and laughed, still clapping loudly.

Ricki shook herself back to reality as Veronika started her performance. Katana was back in the class and she'd apologised. A small part of Ricki felt bad for the poor girl - yet there was a bit of Ricki that just... well thought she got what she deserved. Ricki pushed Leah out of her thoughts, and turned her attention to Veronika. As usual, Ricki was more than mesmerized into her performance. Veronika was like... a natural born actress, and she was so nice. As Veronika finished her performance, Ricki joined in the applause, a grin streched across her face as she 'whoop-ed' the red head.
"Brilliant as always!" she cheered her grin staying on her face as she looked over at Veronika. She wasn't particularly close to the girl, but seeing she was Heathers best friend, Ricki did occasinoally speak to her. Plus, there was always the usual hello, and goodbye.

Grinning from ear to ear Kevin gave his buddie Veronika two thumbs up. She was great, she knew it too, but the best part of it was that she never flaumted it in anyones face. "You are wonderful V'ronika! WOOOO!!" Hardlight hollered as he clapped.
"Yeah girl! Serve them all -uh HUH!!" he was loving this class. He didn't even bother to look at Katana, in fact he actually looked away and at Kris when Nightcrawler had her before them all making her apologised to them. He made sure he smiled his warmest cutest smile at Hemlock as Veronika got up from in between the two boys. When he knew he had Kris's attention and Ktanna was speaking he crossed his eyes and stuck his tongue out just a little. He made sure nobody but Kris could see him because he didn't need any trouble.
BUT the thing of it all seemed to him that Leah was just a punk. He had been called a sissy in his days, but Kattana was the biggest sissy he ever saw. She was a bully and a loudmouth and he was sooo over her and her antiks. He really didn't want to have to ball her up again so he just ignored her whenever he could. It was sometimes difficult, but after the beautiful and tallented Allure had done her thing on stage his mind had simply let go of any memory of the pityful Paragon porcupine princess. "Can I have your autograph?" he yelled out.

"She speaks yet she says nothing" Kris sighed, feeling ashamed of Katana at the bland performance. He understood that it was nerve-wracking going up on stage and performing but that didn't mean standing still and blankly reciting would be any sort of good. He felt sorry for her while he heard the comments given to her after she sat back down. He knew she sucked ... she sucked bad.
Gavin however ... pwhaar ... "O, speak again, bright angel! for thou art; As glorious to this night, being o'er my head; As is a winged messenger of heaven." He said to the red haired winged student. He was indeed very hot but not Kris' type after all. He liked Kevin far too much. He had tried to pull him into the occasional empty classroom with the only intention to seduce and ravish him. Of course that never went right and he was always stopped. Only Veronika knew of his failed conquest and simply encouraged him to keep pursuing his goal. He wanted Kevin and by god he was going to get him with any sort of luck. As she set off to go on stage and perform Kris gave a short cheer of good luck. "Give it to them sweety, you own that stage!"
At the moment he turned around Kevin caught his attention by pulling a funny face. Kris couldn't help but chuckled quietly to himself, looking away quickly before looking back. His smirk grew ever so slightly as he turned to hastily scribble d in his note book and tearing out the small part he had written on. With a small puckering of his lips in a kissing motion and winking. Folding the bit of paper over he carefully slid it over the bet to Kevin and looked back to Veronika's performance. The note simply said 'You still look hot'[/size]. Which was true, even with the funny face, the boy was hot as hell and made Kris desperate for intimate connections. When Allure came off stage, he followed Hardlights example and cheered clapped and praised until his hands started stinging.

"Ahh now zhat vas funtastic, Veronika!" Kurt said clapping softly "Nicely done! Vhat more can von say? You are a captivating performer." He turned to the class and said "I hope you all took note of how Veronika allowed zhe character to inhabit her. She vas not reciting...or even evoking...she simply vas the character a moment ago."
Turning back to her he nodded his head with a wink of his eye. She was a delightful performer. There was something more to her performances he felt. He couldn't exactly place a finger on it but there was a deeper level of commitment, or understanding of what it required to make the characters on a page come to life, and somehow this young lady understood that. He could not say wether it was insict or sheer bravery, but she gave 100% when she was on stage, she was fearless.
"Zhat vill be hard to top. Good sing I do not ask for anysing more zhan zhe best any of you can do.... Heazher, let us see your best please. Veronika you may sit back down, Danke." He looked at Aqua and smiled, knowing she had more in her than she had shown in past performances and hoping that Allure's performance would give her some courage to open up.

Heather loved to perform, however she always had that stage fright. Veronika encouraged her to try and overcome it by joining the drama class, therefore she was now it in. However she still couldn't overcome that stage fright quite yet. And after Gavin and Veronika, Heather felt rather crappy that she was next. She wouldn't be able to beat them or be as good as them. But she was able to act convincingly and just perform well. That was all she could ask for. Nightcrawler had pulled her aside during some classes and asked her why she wasn't really in depth with her characters. In truth she had no real connection or passion like great actors had. Veronika always had her's down to the T. But Heather needed to relate in order to really get into it.
Now she was next, and her throat closed up. She didn't know which opening to do, or monologue rather. She couldn't use Phantom of the Opera because it's opening required almost twelve people, a giant chandelier and an organ. Since those weren't available to her she decided to do another part of the musical that she knew well (she owned the soundtrack to all her favorite musicals).
Standing back up from her seat, Heather bit her lip and looked to Veronika nervously. She didn't bother to look at Gavin because she knew he would give her a look of "Haha you're up next" or some silly face where she couldn't help but laugh or get annoyed about. Taking deep breaths, Heather slowly made her way to the stage and planted her feet stiffly centerstage. "Ok," she said a bit higher than her normal soprano voice. "Um these piece is from Phantom of the Opera. I would like to do the opening but it requires a lot of stuff that I can't use so here it goes." She inhaled slowly and walked to the prop closet. She needed a cape like sheet in order to get "in character". It also helped her from seeing the audience and getting over a bit of her stage fright. She walked back to the centerstage and wrapped the sheet around her neck; some extra fabric was ruffled behind her head to make a hood for the cape.
"This scene is during the second act of the musical," she began. "Christine Daae, the lead character, is at a crossroads. The Phantom is her 'Angel of Music', for before her father died he told her the Angel of Music would visit her. Once her father passed, she was 'visited' by the angel. Ever since the drama and hectic things have happened in the opera house, Christine is almost convinced the Phantom could possibly be her father. However she is not completely sure." Heather paces slowly back and forth as she explains the story.
"So out of her confusion, Christine goes to the graveyard to speak to her father at his grave. The time is sundown, where the day is somewhat safe however the night is slowly upon us. There is snow everywhere, blankets as far as the eye can see. Each grave is cold and abandoned yet still beautiful in their own way." Painting the picture in her mind wasn't hard. She was an artist and remembering every single detail was natural to her. Heather closed her eyes and saw everything there; the graveyard, the snow, and she was Christine. Confused and wishing "she" was somehow here again. Her mother, the one she use to love so much. The one that use to love her but no longer had a child.
The memories of the past two months entered her mind again. Heather grew upset, angry, tired and alone. She missed her family, but she had a new one and she loved her new one. She wanted to be a mutant, and she was a mutant. She was glad that her father understood who she was, but her mother was just too stubborn. She blamed Heather's father for everything since men carried the X gene. They divorced and Heather blamed everything on herself. But thanks to Gavin and Veronika, she was able to realize it was her own mother's stupid mistake and selfishness. Now she was able to relate to her character. She wanted her mother there for her but she knew it would never happen. Opening her eyes again, Heather sighed and continued her story.
"She wants an answer, guidance to her confusion. She needs answers and she believed the only way to get them is through her father." Then and there, Heather closed her eyes and began to sing. Her voice was good with pitch, nice to hear and not bad. But singing was not her passion like designing. She closed her eyes again and imagined her mother in front of her. Her eyes of judgment starring down at her with hatred. The song began slow and soft:
"You were once my one companion, You were all that mattered. You were once a friend and father, Then my world was shattered.
Wishing you were somehow here again, Wishing you were somehow near. Sometimes it seemed if I just dreamed, Somehow you would be here. Wishing I could hear your voice again, Knowing that I, never would, Dreaming of you won't help me to do, All that you dreamed I could.
Passing bells and sculpted angels, Cold and monumental. Seemed for you the wrong companions, You were warm and gentle." Opening her eyes, Heather felt them water. Her mother's hurtful words echoed in her head over and over again. She was once her mother, but not anymore. She was her friend and mother. The song began to crescendo, bringing a louder and strong sound:
"Too many years fighting back tears, Why can't the past just die?
"Wishing you were somehow here again, Knowing we must say goodbye. Try to forgive, Teach me to live, Give me the strength to try!
"No more memories no more silent tears, No more gazing across the wasted years." She sighed, feeling the tears about to stream down her face. She didn't want to cry, she hadn't cried in weeks. But there was no point getting over it now.
"Help me say goodbye," she whispered with tears down her face. "Help me say... goodbye." And just like that, she finished. Her head was down, rivers of tears flowed down to her chin. After wiping her past away, she looked to the crowd in front of her. She was shocked to have expressed herself so easily. She didn't really think she could ever relate to her character until she though in depth of what helped. Thankfully she succeeded.

Veronika had full smiles on her face when she sat down, even throwing in a little blush for all the comments from her peers and her team leader. She knew that she had talent that surpassed everyone around her, but then seeing as she practiced on a daily basis it was only natural that she became the role rather than just acted. Veronika gave Kevin's arm a small squeeze and blew him a kiss. As if there was any doubt that I would steal the show.
Her attention turned to her dear friend Heather, who had a pleasant enough of a voice that wouldn't give anyone a headache and wasn't annoying. She crossed her legs and watched her friend perform, smiling when she saw how into the role she got. She really is doing spectacular compared to when she started, or in general really. It is nice that she is coming out of that sweet shy shell she was in when I first met the dear girl. Though she is very much feeling this act, possibly to do with that hag of a mother she has. No matter, I told mama all about her. Oh I just cannot wait for her to meet them. If I have my way, which I will, Heather will not have to deal with that anymore. The girl is a dear friend, when I move up in the world, she will be a good companion to bring along. Or I could play the card with all the connections I have and get her some of her own... I must think further on this subject. I think I am due a call to Papa today and find out when he is visiting me.
Veronika clapped loudly at the end of her performance, quite proud how she got out of her shell. "That was wonderful Heather! My I never thought I would see you, how do you say, get out of your shell like that yes?" she said with an adorable giggle and toss of her hair over her shoulder. "Oh the introduction would have been impossible, but you picked an amazing scene! I am so happy that you are becoming more comfortable to get into the role like that!" she praised still clapping and smiling charmingly at her friend.

Sky was just chilling out in the back watching and listening to Heather's act. She liked that they all went in first and not her cause truth be told, she was not the best actress. She liked the action stuff and fun stuff she got to do when Nightcrawler let her and Lian act out a scene together. Like the time they did the sword fight scene, and that other scene from Gone with the Wind and fun stuff like that. She preferred to watch the awesome people who could do good on their own rather than her go up, and this one of them.
Joining right in with the loud clapping, Sky gave a whistle as well. "Nice going Water chick! I need to learn to make myself cry too, real nice touch," she yelled across the room. "She's doing pretty good now," she said to Lian on the side. Her and Heather were cool and on good terms since they ran in a similar group of people.
