Ivy finally relaxed the curled up position she was in on her chair. It seemed now there was just going to be some cleaning up after everything, and that it was safe for her to move. She had shut herself up, not only because she knew she had spoken irrationally in the face of this 'crisis', but how was she to know how to react? She had never been in a situation like that, nor had she made it for many- or any team practices. Poor Ivy'd been in quarantine for ages, so she missed all the important things she saw she should've known from the start.
She looked around at the area and the others, and slowly uncurled herself from her chair. "I'll, um.. help clean up," she said quietly, still feeling awkward for having done nothing productive in the whole thing. Now she had gotten some idea of how she should teach herself to be, and she knew she was in desperate need for a team practice so that she just didn't keep sitting somewhere off to the side curled up in the ball she'd been in. She nodded slightly to both herself and to the others before walking over to where the shelf had nearly fallen. There were a bunch of books that had fallen off the shelf, and she would take care of them, just so she didn't have to just sit there like a bump on a log.
Quietly, she squatted down and picked up a few books, smoothing out the pages of the ones that had fallen open and carefully piled them on one knee before getting up and putting them on a nearby table to get some more. She glanced over at the others again as they started moving and looked away again as she kept picking up the other books to keep herself busy. Ivy would've said something to them to explain her useless and senseless behavior, but she thought it was best to just try and let it lie and move on.

"Thanks Ivy," Torri said with a cute smile. Well this whole situation wasn't weird, she thought. But it was over as soon as it had started. The new kid Mitche- Wraith, seemed to be in good spirits but Torri didn't blame the kid for being a bit touchy about being attacked like an icky spider. Then again, the Alpha didn't blame the others for freaking out when an invisible person (who they didn't know) came out of no where to play a silly game, or prank, or whatever it was.
Picking up the last of the books, Torri placed them on the shelves and placed her hands on her hips. With a deep sigh she rubbed her temples with her thumb and forefinger before crossing her arms. "Anything else we need to do before we actually start our homework?" She really wanted to get her stuff done since Karma needed her pretty soon to help out with chores. And she knew that the other Alphas were up already and probably causing havoc in the cafeteria or something. They were quite the early birds since their bedtime was pretty early too.
Picking up her own chair, since it fell over when Ian told her to bail, Torri sat back in her seat and put her elbows on the table. "Let's go mates," she continued. "We need to get this done. Otherwise you know Cyclops is going to have a field day giving you make up work and mandatory extra credit." She had a feeling that would make Gavin and Ian get right back to work even being spooked a bit. But she understood if they needed a minute to just understand what the heck happened.

"Well, we gotta do something about these chairs, I ain't looking forward to an angry Karma bustin' in here. She may be tiny, but it seems that the smaller ones are the ones we gotta watch out for," Gavin said with a wink at Torri as he looked at some of the broken chairs. "We should probably get these fixed, or at least put them to the side so we don't make a mess of things." He said getting the piles together and placing them as neatly as he could in the corner.
He knew they'd get a huge earful from Karma, but oh well. Ian was really cool for taking the heat, and Gavin already promised himself he'd take the fall next time. And he was fairly positive that there would be a next time. "It's looking good I think. Yea.. Okay, guess I can't avoid it forever huh?" He grinned and ruffled Torri's hair. "Alright back to this crap," he said with a sigh and opened his laptop. He started typing again before he remembered his phone. "Oh wait a minute." Gavin pulled out the phone and smiled a bit when he saw the text. "Heh," he chuckled to himself.
It took him a minute to respond with a simple 'sweet. Meet at 6, Iceman taking us' before he closed the phone. "Sorry, SORRY! It just took a minute, look I'm getting back into the paper," Gavin said with a smirk and started typing again. He was looking forward to tonight, he expected it to be a lot of fun and Heather was hilarious to bother in the movies. He already had plans to throw popcorn at her just for the hell of it. "Hey Ian, you taking Niki out tonight or chilling in?" he asked him, hoping he was a bit calmer now and less frustrated than before.

"Yea... this looks good for now. I think she won't be too mad at me. 'Sides I help her out enough with the little guys to get on her good side," Ian said more to himself than anyone else. He liked the little kids, they were fun to play with, especially Chopper, that kid was the reason they thought of that science project with matchbox cars to begin with. And Jenny and Lily were beyond adorable, Lily with her wings and cute smile and Jenny with her lisp and the scrappy little tough attitude she had just made him melt into a puddle. He didn't get to hang out with Austin yet, but if that kid was anything like his sister, he could only imagine.
"I might as well wait for Karma here, you know she's never gone from the library for too long. Plus it would suck for you guys if she came in here and I was out looking for her," he contemplated out loud. Ian grinned a bit at Torri as he sat down and opened up his laptop again. "Alright you Scots are supposed to be like, smart and all, so you're helpin' me out on this one dudette," he said and scooted to sit next to her so she could help him out.

"Yeah, alright looks good enough for him- I'm more than satisfied. Yo Ian, make sure you tell her I'm alright with doing that thing I said with fixing the chairs." Having dusted his hands off from piling the broken wooden furniture off on the side of the room. "So, uh, looks like I better head down to face the music with Beast and the disappearing boy.
"Ivy, my love, my sweet" he poured on the charm "please ya gotta help me out with this. Can I meet you back here? Will you stick around to help me with that damn Tech crap homework? Seriously I can't fail that class. But I gotta go and do this right now, I mean you guys got a great guy there" he nodded at Ian "he's a great example of a leader and I guess he's kind shamed me. So let me try this taking responsibility thing and see how it turns out." He winked at her and walked out past Ian, patting him on the shoulder as a thanks as they'd gotten down to doing homework.

A frustrated Torri was redoing her hair since Gavin and Ian always thought that ruffling it up made her look cuter or something. In all honesty Torri had no understanding of why older people always had to touch her hair. But she never got upset about it since she knew it was a form of affection. Course Americans were always weird with things like that so few of their customs was something of getting use to. They weren't much different from those of Scotland but of course the language and some cultural differences caused a small barrier.
She licked her hands and tried to flatten the fly- aways before returning her attention back to the Acolytes. Chase was being weird with Ivy so the Alpha ignored him again. But now Torri needed to help the "Duh Twins" with their reports. She giggled at the name she gave them before trying to keep a straight face as Ian sat next to her. She couldn't help but notice how Ian ignored Gavin's question about Haven and Torri was curious as to why. "Hey... hey Ian," she said adorably while poking him softly on his nose. "Gavin asked you a question."
When it came to Ian and Niki's relationship, Torri didn't have much to say. But when she thought about it, she came to the conclusion that it was a relationship that only Ian and Niki were able to understand. Torri's own opinion of Niki was indifferent. Niki was a good Acolyte. She was strong, determined, and able to stand her ground. Socially, she had few friends and in Torri's opinion, liked to keep it that way. It took a very laid back person to understand Niki and accept her. And Torri understood that if anything happened to anyone she cared about, Niki would be there immediately to back them up. But with every good quality in a person, many bad ones came as well.
Waiting for Ian's response, she winked at Gavin before looking back at the laptop screen, setting up an easy outline for Ian to follow in order to write his paper. The French- Indian War was a simple topic, especially the assignment itself. So Torri already had the resources in order for Ian to truly show Mr. Summers that he wasn't all brawn.

"Uh... na I mean I don't know we didn't make any plans," Ian said looking up from his work and scratching his head. "There's a movie marathon of all the old Hitchcock movies on tonight, so I'm so gonna be there to watch. I forgot who else is joining, but man those are the best scary movies ever. My family has all of them at home, and me and by bro Eric, we used to watch 'em all the time man. Like Psycho is a classic, but then there are the really good and creepy ones like Vertigo and The Birds and OH the original Mr. and Mrs. Smith! Now I know my girl Angelina isn't in that one, but it's still a good one so I can forgive that." He smiled and nodded with a look of satisfaction on his face as he thought of Angelina Jolie, and all the movies of course.
"But yea, that's all I know on that, she never mentioned nothin' to me as far as I know. 'Sides we went out on Friday and on Monday, it's kinda silly to go out all the time," Ian said, managing to type and talk at the same time. He looked between his book and the stuff that some student before him highlighted all over. That was the best things about used textbooks, he knew what to study if someone before him was a nerd and highlighted everything in the book. One time he got through a whole science class his Freshman year because the textbook he had was highlighted and all the multiple choice homework questions at the end of the chapter were answered for him. That was the coolest thing ever, he felt godly with that textbook.
"Yea man, I can't wait for those movies. And I'm gonna see if I can get Sky to make me some of her awesome caramel popcorn. Oh man that stuff is the best. And a nice big old fashioned milkshake. That right there is the life..." He stopped writing for a second and nodded his head in dreamy manner, thinking of the delicious meal he'd make himself later. "Sides, Spitfire is supposed to come home tonight, and I think Nikki is gonna wanna be around to see her. It's like her first weekend since she came back without her, I think she missed her loads," he added as an afterthought, trying to get back into his paper.

Okay. So Chase had pretty much spoken aloud what Ricki'd been thinking- but not exactly in the manner Ricki would've chosen to say it in. Either way, Chase'd clearly shunned Lorelai away- perhaps Ricki ought to go find her later and talk to her. Part of the fault was Lorelai's - Ricki couldn't ignore that, and in order to make something work, one person always had to adjust, and in this case, it had to be Lorelai, because she was the one who wanted things to change, the way Ricki saw it. "You're so nice Chase," Ricki commented with a roll of her eyes, unable to hold it in any longer. Ricki Day could only go so long without having to speak.
As the trio entered the library, Ricki's expression was somewhat relieved and although she didn't realize it, her cheeks were a little pink because of Wraith calling her 'beautiful' earlier. Ricki fell easy for the compliments, and it was the little things which people often didn't notice that seemed to affect the blonde the most. "Hey guys- okay- Wraith's here with me. He comes in peace, please don't reattack him!" Ricki smiled as she said that, indicating her head in the direction in which she thought Wraith was in. "Doc said he isn't majorly hurt, just a little bruised." Ricki added, being extra as she always was, raising her eyebrows over at Ian with the sort of you got lucky this time look.
"Wraith- meet some of the team. That's Ian there, team captain- He doesn't normally beat up new team mates, I swear." Ricki grinned at Ian, her blue eyes twinkling. "The red-head with the funky wings is Gavin," Ricki stuck her tongue out Gavin, not really being able to help it. "Redhead with glasses is Ivy, they're both acolytes as well - and the adorable little kid is Torri- Alpha Squadron member." Ricki's smile turned to it's normal caring self when her eyes found Torri. There was just something about Torri that sprung up the sort of older sisterly feeling in Ricki. It was probably because she had so many cousins, older and younger, and Ricki knew that Torri would probably fit right in with her family.
"Oh oops- i'm interrupting you guys again aren't I? Okayyy. Shutting- you guys continue." Ricki chirped, skipping towards the table and popping down besides Torri. "You guys cleaned up well." she admired, her fingers automatically reaching to mess up Torri's hair.

Gavin grinned widely when Ricki came into the room, especially cause he wanted an excuse away from the paper he was doing and settle on bothering Ricki. "Yea we did clean up well, no thanks to your lazy butt. You were off chilling out with the Doc and the rest of us were slaving over this mess," he said throwing a random pencil at her and started cracking up when it bounced clear off her boob. "AHAHA I knew you were nothing but a ball of rubber!" He cracked up as the pencil soared clear across the room. He didn't even throw it that hard.
"So Ricki, I've been giving it some serious thought, you know this whole thing of me being a God to you and all that," Gavin said making his face completely serious and holding back a grin. "I decided that I will in fact start accepting offerings in the form of food, nudity and doing my homework from you. I know, I know," he held his hands up as if he was stopping her from protesting. "I spoil you. But you're just so damn cute that I can't resist." Gavin had a big grin on his face now and looked all proud of himself.
"You see Wraith, I'm just too good to all these girls. I mean I'm like their God or something, and they worship me and stuff. I mean Ricki here, she's got a sculpture of me she made of all my chewed gum that she keeps in the closet. Ivy collects pieces of my hair when she thinks I'm not looking. It's like I can't escape it man. But," he heaved a sigh like it was a big burden. "I've learned to accept their affections and live with this burden. But just look at 'em, I gotta spoil them." He couldn't keep in his laugh anymore and started laughing. "Oh man, woo I love life sometimes." Gavin looked over at Ricki and gave her the most adorable grin he could muster. "Whaddaya say Ricki, will you help me out with the paper for Cyclops class? I know you did it already and I promise I'll save my chewed gum for you."
Gavin had a blast playing around with them, especially Ricki cause she dished it back just as much and it went on for hours between the two of them. He knew that it could be a pain in the ass since they started in on each other more than once during practice. It was fun though, so he dealt with the yelling that came with it if it meant for a chance to bother her.

Chase had just rolled his eyes when Ricki made her little comment about him being nice. In his opinion he had been, he told the ice girl all she needed to do and he didn't sap it all up with gooey-sweet friendly words like the rubber broad would have, so who the hell was she to judge him anyway. Shooot he'd let her drink his booze the night before and she wanted to goof around today? As far as he cared, well, he didn't!
"Yeah, yeah he's the bird god of Alcatraz." Chase said walking over to Ivy to see how far she'd gotten on his paper or whatever the homework assignment was. He had no clue but he figured she should have a good start on it by now and then *FwuUD!* he walked right into Wraith. "Dude, watch where I'm goin huh? Since nobody can see you I think you better do the leg work.Yea?" With a half smile he reached up a hand to pat him on the back,er uh, front? Well, the wherever and he walked around the invisible body.
Sliding next to Ivy he took a look at what she was up to and was shocked at the sight. "Wow, really?" The tone of his voice was somewhere between sarcasm and surprise. "All that in just under-" but with a glance to his watch he stood up sharply "Yo! We're like about to mis LUNCH!?!" he announced. For the life of him he could never understand where the time went sometimes. "Thanks Ivy-BaY-Bee, I guess you'll finish it after lunch right?" He helped her scoop up her work as the rest of them seemed more than capable to handle their own. He was excited as he nodded at Ivy and pulled her chair out as she stood up, juuust like some god damned stupid gentleman- since he was certain he was gonna finally avoid the Kitty Pryde stare of DOOM, at least if Ivy could pull through for him- and the whole lot of them made their way out to eat like a parade of piranha anxious for flesh.
