After placing them both on the ground Guardian felt uneasy. His head started spinning, he didn't know why he just went through all that. It was as if he had no more control over his emotions. He listened to Lorelai's explanation. He looked around a bit and saw there was more damage to the surroundings here.
"To be honest I don't really know what has been happening to me. A couple of us were having breakfast, then K'8 began insulting everyone. A minute later her little spawns were terrorizing the kitchen, and I unintentionally set one on fire, I know that sounds weird. Then Aqua and I completely lost control of each other and went ballistic on K'8. Aqua FROZE her somehow and I nearly dropped her from about 100 feet in the air. Good think Shadowkat was there otherwise I really might have...dropped her" explained Guardian. "I'm going to have to ask Ms. Frost for help later on, try to figure out what is the matter with me" he added.
"But alright back to the matter at hand, so your telling me all this damage was done by Wolverine and Sabertooth, that's the tiger guy's name, having big ears has its advantages" he said aloud. He looked back up at the cliff. "It looks as if they fell down here, that's a pretty nasty fall, but they are no where in sight, do you think they survived the fall? Or...possibly taken by someone?" he kept blabbing away as if he knew something, but he was completely lost at what had exactly happened around here.

Ian shook himself off and patted Guardian on the shoulder. "Thanks for the lift bro. And don't worry about it, we're still young we're allowed to make mistakes like that. But right now, I'm following that trail right there," He said pointing to the bloody trail. "This place is huge and Wolverine might still be here. Look see the trail leads all the way down there. There's still some ground to cover." Ian began following the trail and beckoned for his two teammates to come follow him.
"C'mon babe, you can help clear the snow away. Guardian man, your welcome to come along for the journey, but as I said before there is no way I'm stopping now. We saw too much to just let it go now," he said determined as he grabbed Lorelai's hand ands tugged her toward the trail before waving over Guardian with his free hand.
"Just careful not to melt the trail bro, fire can be damaging to any clues that might be left. We owe it to Spitfire to at least find out everything we can. Unlike others, we're not sitting on our asses," he said bitterly as he looked down the blood splattered path with a hard expression on his face.

Lorelai listened to Guardian’s recollection of what had happened in the kitchen. It sounded like a whole other bout of drama that inevitably happened, but listened intently because of the interest that it piqued in her, and the brief distraction from the matter at hand. “Wow,” she said quietly at hearing it all, taking in more information, and then inwardly cringing at hearing Sabretooth’s name, knowing all the hell he broke loose.
At Guardian’s spoken inquiries, she looked around at the new surrounding. It was surely a nice little fall from the edge they had all just been on, and she mentally agreed with the dragon boy. Neither were in sight, but she was sure both could definitely survive the fall. They were made of stronger stuff than that, sure, it’d hurt, but they’d be able to get up from it, probably like Ian could, just on a stronger and bigger scale. “I don’t know,” she answered at his question.
At seeing that there was more to see even still, Lorelai followed Ian as he started off ahead, and then moving faster as he grabbed her hand and tugged her along. She walked fast enough to match his pace, nodding slightly as he said she could help clear the snow. Though she was willing to do so, she was a little hesitant because she was weary of finding more blood and destruction and who knows what else. When Ian spoke bitterly, she looked up at him, her face softened though it showed apparent signs of worry and repressed anger and horror. She would’ve said something to try to calm him down, but she knew he wouldn’t be better until everything was figured out and something was done about it.

Guardian felt a little better after Ian's words. "Thanks" he said to Ian. He looked around a bit more as Ian and Lorelai walked on. Guardian thought for a minute then ran forward after them. "I'll be glad to help you guys" he said. I do have pretty good hearing and I could scope the skies to look over the area if you need it, plus my sense of smell isn't that bad either" he told Ian, trying to be a bit helpful in this grim situation. "Plus if Sabertooth is still HERE, you'll need all the help you could get" he added in a tone of discomfort.

"Sabretooth isn't here," Ian said sharply over his shoulder as he went down the path that Lorelai cleared. "Frost would have caught him by now from her cozy little chamber downstairs. Besides, from what it looked like Sabretooth got what he wanted." He didn't mean to sound so angry and pissed at Guardian, but right now he was in no mood to watch his tone with others whether they deserved it or not. His free hand was clenched in anger as he tried his best to control his feelings of horror and disgust. Normally he would have made sure he had a more pleasant tone with Guardian since he seemed bummed and all, but when he thought of that little incident he had and then the stuff that he found out that Aideen went through, well in Ian's mind there was no comparison.
Ian walked down the bloodied path that became more apparent as Lorelai cleared the snow away. The walk wasn't as long as the one from the clearing to the edge of the cliffs, but it all went by in a blur in Ian's mind. All he wanted to fo was find out anything he could to help his friend, since it seemed him and Lorelai were the only ones who cared. The teachers were all walking around with their heads up each other's asses trying to find out what happened to their friends. Why should they care about the student as long as they were alive? It sickened Ian. and he vowed to himself to never take on that philosophy. Alive she may have been, but at what cost? He couldn't even comprehend as to what might have happened to her in those woods with Sabretooth and who knew what he did to her before she managed to escape. Screw the teachers, he could give two shits about anything they had to say about him being out in these woods. Ian happened to think that Aideen was worth more than a brush off and a promotion to a temporary leader.
Just then he stopped dead in his tracks as the sun shown on something shiny ahead. It was very large and an odd concaved crater thing, and it was green! "What the- Do you guys see what I see?" Ian said in shock and wonderment as he stared at the weird thing not even 50 feet away from them.

Lorelai looked up uneasily at Ian as he replied to Guardian, knowing he wasn't necessarily pissed off at him, he was just pissed off at everything that had happened and all that they had seen and found out. She kept a firm hold of his hand so that she felt the slightest bit more secure and with the thought that it might help ultimately keep Ian's anger from blowing up around all three of them. She continued moving the snow off to the sides to clear their path, revealing more blood. She let out a little heaved sigh in reaction to it, but quickly lifting her head at the shocked sound of Ian's voice.
"What?" she asked, confused for a moment as it took her a mere second to see what he was pointing at. A crater shaped shiny piece of rock lay ahead, and she tilted her head in her curiosity. "Yeah, I see it, but what is it?" she asked, letting go of his hand for the moment as she carefully walked ahead near it, closing the distance with an outreached hand to see what kind of texture the rock would have. Finally near it, she let a fingertip brush across the surface and did it again when she noticed something most odd - it was warm. Though, she guessed that was because the sun had been shining on it, so she experimented a bit by slowly dragging her finger across the textured surface into a shaded part, but the weirder part was that it was just as warm as the sunny part!
"That's not normal, it's warm, even in the shade," she said aloud, waving the hand that wasn't near the shiny stonelike area she was touching, beckoning the boys to come closer and check it out as well. What she couldn't figure out, though, was why it was warm in the shade, and what on earth caused the rock to form over like that. Why was it cratery? Some sotr of blast? Her mind switched into overtime again as she tried to figure out what was with it while she waited for the boys to come see.

***TURBINE ENGINES WHIRRING- SENSORS SCREAMED OUT ...
...From the center control console, a red flashing blip...."Movement!?!" he said aloud. 'Could be an animal, better check it out. Besides I'm not getting any other readings off of this thing. How could this be, I see it and feel it and it's solid, but it doesn't register on anything...not even this handheld Geiger counter' Scott thought as he switched off the portable radiation gauge and stowed it under the seat.
The sky-cycle was nearly silent as it hovered, with a slight high pitched sound to it, but as soon as Cyclops engaged the movement actuators and set it sailing toward the unsuspecting children it did make a noticeable sound. Seeing the three of them through the sparse branches of the woods edge as it sprang up at the terminaton of the green glass crater, Scott could hardly believe his eyes. 'What in the name of ... These kids are gonna be the death of me' he mused as he shook his head, a slight grin crossing his features at the sheer tenacity it must have taken for them to arrive all the way out here. "Hello then, did we get lost?" he hollered down to them as he got closer.

Ian's eyes turned sharply from watching Lorelai cautiously touch the concaved crater thing to Cyclops on what looked like a flying motorcycle. He realized that's probably the thing he saw from Riker's window last night since he remembered the shape. Great just great the last person he wanted to see now was a teacher, and here is the damn Headmaster.
Ian's face remained hard as he turned his eyes back to Lorelai and walked over to the green thing himself. She was right it was warm to the touch. God what the hell was going on around here? This stuff kept getting more and more confusing. He wondered briefly how deep and heavy this thing was. "Don't worry about it Teach, we're just you know looking out for our classmate. Since the job was open and no one else seemed to want it, we took it upon ourselves," Ian called in a bitter tone laced with sarcasm. That was weird for him, since he wasn't known for his sarcasm or bitterness but Ian had never been steamed enough for it to come out. Looks like there is a first time for everything.
The only things Ian really gave a damn about at the moment is Lorelai's safety and trying to find out what happened to Aideen and if there was anyway they could help her. The look of disgust at the thought of what the teachers let her do returned as he set his hardened eyes on the green smooth textured thing. It must be pretty deep in the ground.

Guardian looked up at the Headmaster hovering in the air. He felt a bit confused as to why Ian was acting so cold toward everyone. It's understandable why he felt angry but Guardian was sure the teachers also felt extremely concerned. Guardian walked up to the crater and knelt down beside Ian and Lorelai. "What do you think it could be?" he asked them as he put a finger on it and felt that its warmth.

Lorelai continued looking at and touching the warm green rock, trying to figure out why it was like that. The shape of it was another crater, and she figured what can cause a crater, like a blast or something. A thought came to her, one that actually sort of made sense, and then she heard a high pitched sound that got louder as it neared where she and the boys were, and looking up she saw something that resembled the dark shape she had seen the night before. And on the flying contraption was one of the teachers she last wanted to see – Cyclops. Almost immediately she turned to Ian, who she knew wasn’t the least bit happy with any of the teachers, let alone the headmaster.
She opened her mouth to give an answer to the headmaster, only Ian spoke, but it was obvious enough that he spoke quite bitterly and with much sarcasm. He stood next to her now, inspecting the rock for himself as he spoke, and she looked to him. “Please watch your temper, please,” she whispered, taking a step closer to him. She let her free hand that wasn’t touching the rock take his free hand, her only consolation that it might just keep him the slightest bit calmer.
Though she thought to try to distract him from the looming presence of the headmaster by bringing the possibility that she had originally been thinking before his entrance, she whispered again to Ian, as well as Guardian, who kneeled near them,“What if this green rock stuff was caused by the bombs that were at the school? What if Nightcrawler took them here? It is far away enough, don’t you think?”

Noting the body language of the children, Scott could see who was in charge of this rag tag little team of Holmesian sleuths. His slight smile faded at the tone of young Ian's voice, 'this is more than just curiosity it would appear' Scott thought 'he seems agitated, off center, it's more than just his voice.' Cyclops took a brief second to eye him up and down, his visor allowing a moment like this to seem as though Cyclops might be looking right through someone. 'His stance something in his stance says he's right about on the edge of losing his cool. I wonder what he might do?' the Headmaster considered seeing what the boy would be capable of if pushed, but that would be saved for another day. Landing just beyond them in the clearest spot in the wood line Scott powered down the Sky-Cycle. Standing, he walked past the three of them. Looking at them each in turn his gaze settled on Frostbite. "That's one theory we're going over. You can't just jump to conclusions on these things, need proof- evidence. So, you've made your way all the way out this far, what have you got to show for it?" Turning his head to the young man his voice devoid of all save for the rugged inspiration of his finest talent COMMAND... " Diesel , Report ! "

Ian's head shot up at Cyclops' loud commanding voice. First he comes over walking all suave acting like hes this all good guy who looks out for his students and does all these awesome things for them cause he's the Headmaster and all. Some headmaster he was, goes out of his way to look out for his friends rather than his students. Last time Ian checked that wasn't what a responsible Headmaster supposed to do.
Ian stood up to his full height and looked at Cyclops bitterly. "Yea sir? You wanna know what we got to show after how far we came? Probably more than you do," he said in the same uncharacteristic bitter tone as the images of the first scene they found and the information they discovered flashed through his head. "So tell me Teach, since your here too and all, you should know as much as we do then right? You know all about everything that happened in those woods right? Cause I mean, I ain't no expert or nothing about running a school, but I would think that the teachers are supposed to look out for the students. Or maybe I'm just old-fashioned about some things, like letting a seventeen year old girl give up everything and have no one give a damn," Ian said in a bitter and angry tone as he shook Lorelai's hand off and looked straight at Cyclops, not even giving a damn about his temper at this point or the fact that he never spoke like this to a teacher. His mom would probably slap him over the head if she found out, but his mom might change her mind if she knew what he did.

Lorelai turned from the boys to the headmaster as he looked to her and told her not to jump to conclusions. She let her hands drop from the warm rock and let them hang at her side, feeling her temperature dropping slightly at the assumption that she was jumping to conclusions. She had been merely voicing a thought that was a possibility of what could’ve happened, and let her eyes fall to Ian when Cyclops demanded him to report.
She heard him speak so bitterly and angrily again that she wondered how the headmaster would take it, though she could see exactly where Ian was coming from, though it was apparent he wasn’t at all caring about how he was speaking to Cyclops. Anger was now beginning to build up in her now, and it was beginning to mix with all the other unpleasant emotions that she had been repressing. “With all due respect, sir,” she started, her voice growing as cold as her abnormally low temperature, “Have you seen the leftovers of all of this, not even just this cliff or the trail up there, but where there is a giant crater back along near the school? Ian and I looked around, and there was more to it. More had to have happened than we all might’ve thought, and from the looks at what we’ve seen, it seems that more did happen but we knew nothing about it, nor did the teachers inform us of any of this. I’m not jumping to conclusions or anything, but we may be smarter and more observant than you give us credit for. No, we don’t know everything, and we don’t know what really happened, but the possibilities we’ve come up with are just as credible as yours, if you’ve made any,” she said, finding that her hold on keeping her thoughts down was getting much harder.
“And something else must have happened, because I saw Aideen earlier today, and she was more out of it than after the fight. There is an obvious difference, I’m not blind. But again, with all due respect, it seems like you’re not doing much to help Aideen because all I’ve heard around the school is ‘Where’s Wolverine? Where’s Nightcrawler?’ Something horrible had to have happened to her, and yes, she’s pretty capable of handling herself, but she’s still seventeen. That’s still young enough to not be left out in the dust and forgotten. I’m the same age, but I wouldn’t expect to be put behind teachers. I thought schools were about students. Granted, the teachers are important, but it’s still the faculty’s responsibility to take care of the students they have taken into their charge,” she finished, knowing that speaking to a teacher in a manner like this was something she’d rarely ever do, but she blamed this on everything that she had been trying to block out to keep a decent handle on Ian’s emotion, but since that was blown to hell, so was she. She let out a silent breath, feeling the cool air around them grow chillier as it often did when she got angry.

Guardian stood there listening to the Headmaster argue with Ian and Lorelai. He couldn't take much more, they were on the same side, looking for the same people. He stood up off of the ground from where he was feeling the crater, looked directly at the Headmaster and said "Sir! we have reason to believe that there is a highly good chance that our TEAMMATES came through here!" he yelled. "I don't mean to be rude, and even though they could take care of themselves, they may still need our help!" he added. "I'm sure with your help we could all figure this out quicker, before something else happens!"
Guardian started losing his temper again, he tried to control it this time. Holding onto his head he tried to suppress the overwhelming monstrous feeling inside of him. He let out a heavy breath, looked up again, and said "now neither Ian nor you, headmaster, want to accept each other's help but you have to put aside any differences for the sake of our teammates".
